Picking up the truck and returning it was a breeze. Everyone was nice. The truck ran well and was clean.

Esteban QDealing with Uhaul was a completely awful experience, not the people in the location. I had to drive around looking for my truck then waited an hour at tge second location to get my truck. I purposely rented the truck near my mother's home for distance and you changed my reservation to a location 10 miles further out. Not only was it inconvenient for me as a customer, It was completely unfair to the person you use to sell your services. This affects small businesses, you really need to reevaluate the fees that you're trying to avoid and the inconvenience that you pose on others for it! I will try to avoid U-Haul from this point forward at all cost, and will tell everybody that I know to do so as well. Just for what you do to small businesses alone, none the less the service! Thankfully, the girl that helped us was great!

Wang HThe parking lot is so cramped. There is a propane refill station so people are coming in and out all the time, taking up customer parking, while parking lot only has one way to enter/exit since all other entrances are blocked off. The personnel that took in our uhaul return was not welcoming at all and told us we had to clean out the uhaul or else we will incur additional charges. The uhaul was empty except for a few footprint marks from our shoes. It has been torrentially raining for the past week in CA and thats why there were footprints. He made it seem like we trashed it when it was normal wear and tear. We hand wiped the truck bed and mats before he was satisfied and accepted the return. This has never happened at a uhaul return for me before. Most places understand that footprints are ok and are normal with moving....would not recommend this place to anyone and next time I will be returning somewhere else even if this location is the closest to my home.

Two suggestions I have are (1) make sure the first-time renter knows how to activate and release the parking break (the van's parking break system was unfamiliar to me), and (2) make sure the first-time renter knows how to put gas in the vehicle.

CHAD EMore transparency would be helpful. It would be good to give the final cost online when making the reservation. You think you're paying close to a certain amount when you make the reservation than when you sign the contract in person, to when they charge the final payment. I think an additional $45 was included in the final payment, it seems. Thanks Joanne for being so courteous to my wife and I!

Manuel MThank you to manager, Cesar, who called and turned my horrible experience around. After being accused of damaging the van I rented, Cesar, returned from vacation to learn about the situation. He took the time to review the history on the vehicle and discovered that the damage in question was pre-existing. He made it clear to me that he and U-Haul as a company value their customers and work to earn long-time, repeat, customers. He apologized for how the situation was handled and for the stress it caused me. I appreciate his effort to make it right. The value of that cannot be overstated.

Chris HHi. I never ever leave reviews for anything but I just couldn't believe the lengths your employees went to cash in one truck vs to get a returning customer. I borrowed the van for 3-4 hours (decided by the lady working the desk) I told her we were moving/ picking up a couch on the West side. Wasn't sure the time on pick up but made sure I let her know it was one thing and that maybe depending on time idk if I would take it. I brought back the truck in 2 hours from rental time maybe even less. Didn't get the couch. Returned the truck with gas over the limit I was given. Told them I didn't even used all the miles I paid for and when I told them that I received no response, no understanding, and no care in the world. I specifically chose U-Haul in Rosemead thinking since they are not busy I would receive great customer service and satisfaction yet I left with nothing near that.
