Through guest feedback, I believe all businesses can improve revenue and guest satisfaction. So, here is an opportunity for you to learn and don't worry, I am not going to blast Social Media like our young adults do. Positive: I was not expecting 1 month free rental. Due to various things, I could not load my items in Sarasota so you were kind to reschedule storage for next day. Location was convenient and away from congestion that GNV faces daily. Negative: There was no one to answer my 2 calls on original scheduled reservation between 1p & 4p. Goal was to notify and move the move-in date 24 hrs later. When I got to GNV around 5,3p, office was closed but I was given an access code so was able to get in however, I did not know where unit 210. Laborer waited 30 minutes while I tried to solve the problem. Call to corporate directed me to N. Main St location so went over there to unload. I was turned back and told there were no storage unit at that location so had to come back to 4101 SW 13th. I had to call corporate and bounced between different department to finally obtain a map of units. At this moment, it's been an hour and clock is ticking on 2 hr reservation I made for Movers. I was told that Lock will be inside the unit but it wasn't there so had to run to nearest store to buy one. Unfinished walls, no lights working inside storage unit, unclean unit and I found black togo box for food inside which may be left several days ago and leftovers were rotting. After long day, I was tired to make another call so unloaded my materials and left. Movers went into overtime by 23 minutes. Now, only thing I am requesting is an additional month complimentary and we'll call it even. Contact me at 850-766-5808 if you have any questions. Terrible experience (and I'm a long-time Uhaul customer)!!! Did the remote/phone pick-up for the first time. The first truck offered wasn't even on the lot. Found the second and did the whole process until the code for the key lock was provided, but it wouldn't open! A Uhaul representative came out and couldn't get the key out saying the box was broken. She gave keys for yet another truck! But now it was showing that I had 2 trucks. She tried helping me by calling her managers, but the whole process ended up taking approximately 1 and a half hours and my wife and 2-year-old daughter were outside waiting the entire time! And we were late to empty out our storage unit. At the end I still had 2 trucks appearing on my Uhaul account. The ENTIRE pickup was a total mess and I'm completely dissatisfied with the outcome. I got to the pick up location and the office was closed. Sign on the door said to go to a different location. So I drove to the other location to get the keys and they did not have them. Then I was told to drive back to the original location to get my keys that someone would be there. Wasted 45 min of my day and 25 min of driving to different locations just to get keys.Bradley P.

Had to wait awkwardly for 15 mins for the rep to get put of the bathroom (other guy didn't know anything about storage units). My reservation for a unit was canceled without notice. I went to 2 different sites to find it and called 4 people until I was finally told it was canceled. Had to rent a unit 3x as big for 100 $more because it was all that was left. Got to unit during office hours to find it locked and noone in the office to assist. Had to call 2 people to find out the guy wasn't available and we would have to drive back the next day. No one told us this and we wasted hours during this entire ordeal. The security gate to the storage units is also broken and wide open. So anyone who can wander in break into units. I never want to deal with Uhaul again. Everything about it was frustrating. Storage, picking up truck and trailer, and dropping off too. the facility doors did not lock and the tops of the units were made out of chicken wire. cindy and her staff don’t pay very much attention to who has moved in and out of units which doesn’t count much towards security. it’s very hot in the “climate controlled” units and a lot of my stuff mildewed from the temperature. i didn’t pay for the unit because i qualified for a free month but i would never ever spend my money here or recommend to anyone else. the unit is also extremely far out in the middle of nowhere with minimal security measures - 2/10 only use if desperateBETHANY J. | Expérience générale
I have one phone number, as do most people. Requiring an "alternate phone number" is anachronistic. Further more, I live alone. Requiring me to provide personal information about someone else is not necessary and invasive. Also, on the website it was not indicated that the storage facility is five miles away from the facility where I made the reservation. Very inconvenient. Also, the door at the site remains open for 5 seconds, maybe less, which means that when I get the items I am storing I have to gather them from the truck then free up a hand to swipe the access pad, place an item in the doorway while I gather up the items I put down. You could at least give me two minutes! None of this was convenient at all. Matter of fact it was a very frustrating end to a long and difficult moving day.James L. | Premières impressions

Do not reserve with the location on 13th St. no one works there, and when I showed up at my reservation time my truck wasn't there either. A paper sign on the door sent me to another location where I waited for over an hour in line because only one employee knew how to use the computer and even then he kept walking away. If you're working with a deadline make sure you get there at least an hour early. They also took an hour off of my allotted reservation time because I was late to getting it. Which again is because the truck wasn't there and I had to wait in a line. These people are completely incompetent and have the nerve to complain to customers about other impatient customers. Super unprofessional outfit altogether. Would not recommend. Just spend the extra money and have someone else move your stuff.Ross L.

Place dirty and looks like it's falling apart. I was told a climate control but then was told it was only no climate. Has to go to a separate place to sign and guy was very slow and nonchalant. Was not told about having to go to another place and had already arrived with my uhaul. I am quite disappointed with the 4101 SW 13th St facility. In my section, none of the walls are painted (bare drywall and mud), and all the unit doors are unpainted masonite board, and the door latches are held by a few bolts on the outside of the units which are very unsecure since the bolts can easily be removed. Also, I paid for climate control but it is is not climate controlled below 80 degrees & no detectible air flowing. The CSR at the NW 8th Ave. who assisted me was courteous and helpful but I would not say he was friendly.Paul W. | Premières impressions
This comment is for the 24-7 truck share tool. My reservation was for 12pm but somehow was recorded for 11am. When I showed up at 12:10pm I could not pickup my truckâ€¦the app removes the ability to pick it up after a certain period of time (1 hour?) I wasted 25 minutes attempting to log into app over and over again, the calling the local dealer and after a long hold just being transferred to a National person who could actually help me. She had to reset my reservation. Kudos to LaToya, but thumbs down to the software used for 24/7 truck share and to the local dealer who isn't of much use in pinch.Casey W.

The storage space I rented was a 10x30x9 but when I got there they did not have that storage. I had to rent two 10x12x9. Now I'm paying more and don't have enough space. I'm going to have to rent a third storage. I'm not happy and will be calling corporate. I also wanted a unit that was outside so I could just pull up to it. The ones I got are inside and the building smells like pee and stinks really bad. The rent is expensive for what you get. I'm not worried that all my belongings are going to absorb the smell. This is the worst experience. Unfortunately what choice do I have. I am moving 1700 miles across the country and have to store my belongings until my house is ready. First off, there were 0 employees at this location. This review is unrelated to the quality of Uhaul employees' work. Terrible service for a terrible price. For future customers, know that Uhaul will keep you waiting for no reason at all, and there will be no recourse for whether or not uhaul allows you to use the rental you've paid for. Reserve for a long period of time since Uhaul will eat up at least 1 hour of your reservation just in checking out and returning the equipment.Brian R.

The mobile pickup and drop-off process was a complete failure. There were website issues uploading required photos, and was one of the most frustrating experiences only saved by your customer service representative, Jessica Angle, who was professional and compassionate. She was the only saving grace in the process. Overall, this mobile process should either be significantly modified or abandoned altogether, as it is currently the single best advertisement for Penske.Jeffrey L.

Nobody there to help; truck would not start--finally got somebody to drop off a truck; nobody to help when app didn't work to check-in; spent over an hour on hold with various U-Haul numbers to get help---huge waste of time to use the 24/7 option. However, once I got through to a person they were courteous and did finally resolve the problem. But, again, there shouldn't have been the problems to start with or ridiculous hold times. Cindy Proto was amazing! Compassionate, kind and eager to help. I thought I was talking to a friend, my husband is in ICU on a respirator due to this Covid 19 and I had to move all by myself. The anxiety unreal, but Cindy soothing words put my troubled mind at ease. Had it not been for her, I would of had to dropped off the truck on another location irregardless that i had committed to a 10x30 rental and condensed my life down to a two bedroom apt. We are people in need of service for we have lost our homes, lost our jobs, life has brought us to your doorstep and for some, our life in condensed to a 10x10, 10x12 storage space. Be aware of this when you are talking to us but most of all have a little compassion, you service the public! The other UHAUL Reps I spoke to yesterday April17,2021 before I spoke to Cindy were men, one left me holding for ten minutes after he said he couldn't do anything even though I had explained my situation and decided to rent a uhaul storage for the convince of being able to drop off the truck at the same location, he placed me on hold and didn't come back, so the call rang to Cindy. The only thing about this whole " moving" process/experience that didn't totally suck and a total nightmare was my experience with uhaul storage in Gainesville Fl. No one bugged us as we worked our butts off in the coldest two days of the year since 1996? Which btw we worked through the night only stopping a few hours each night to crash . When we received the truck it was dead. We didn't finish the check in because we couldn't confirm mileage or gas. But the app proceeded to accept the truck anyways without us clicking anything. We had to wait an hour and a half to get roadside assistance out there to start the truck. The employee who set up the truck, had left the keys in the ignition on acc. There needs to be a more secure way of locking the inside storage units as anyone who has access to the inside units can easily use a Phillips screwdriver and easily remove any style lock that is used to lock your unit. Also cracks in the flooring in units & also in one of my units, I rented 2 units you could easily see space into the the unit on the other side along the vertical wall. The employee, Michael was very professional & helpful & very efficient & kind. Kudos ðŸ'ðŸ» & 5 stars to Michael âï¸ âï¸ âï¸ âï¸ âï¸ He deserves a raise.ELIZABETH M.

I made a reservation weeks ago online- no where online did it say Gainesville wasn't multiple day rentals. I was advised by another Gainesville location to call the Main Street location. I politely asked the employee over the phone for accommodations, before I could even finish my sentence I was RUDELY cut off. I asked to speak to someone else and was informed I was already speaking to the manager. The manager at Main Street uhaul should be fired, even under stress you should be Er twat a customer the way I was treated, she was incredibly rude and could care less about the individuals sge encounters, it was clear she couldn't be bothered.meghan G.

I ended up getting the uhaul 2 hours later than I should have all because it's listed nowhere on the site that you can't use prepaid banks.
