Unit that we rented was dirty, we have rented from this location before and same thing. Counter staff polite, and professional. One of the lot staff, just about backed into my wife with a cube van. He would have if another customer hadn't noticed as well and stopped him, then was very rude and defensive to both of us.

Reservations need to be streamlined. 10am reservation and checked in online but waited in line an hour and a half just to get the uhaul with below quarter of a tank of gas so we had to fill immediately to make it to destination.

Try listening to your customers and honouring the pick up and drop off locations. When someone books online they should get what they booked. If there is nothing available then TELL THEM! Don't let them think they have a booking until the night before the pickup date to inform them they have to travel 6 HOURS to pick up their vehicle! This is the most crazy business model I have ever heard of!

Too much waiting inline to get help.Not really communicating well,I rent for an appliance dolly,but no appliance dolly inside the van when I drove it home.I trusted the associate who told they put already the dolly inside the van.I called the costumer service to inform about the issue,she said she will put a note so they won't charge me for the dolly rent.the next day when I return the van they still charge me for a dolly.I check my email then realize they charge me 10 $no time for go inline and wait for 10 people before me.call costumer instead but 40 min has passed no answer.

When someone reserves dollies, making sure they are available is important for you to clarify. I requested 2 and wasn't able to get any which extremely delayed my move by taking longer to load and causing big schedule conflicts because I needed to move from Calgary to Lethbridge, meet a leasing agent to sign my lease and was over an hour late. Please specify that materials requested aren't guaranteed, and especially notify if they won't be guaranteed.

Michelle was the uhaul rep I dealt with and she really made the uhaul experience one that was seamless and pleasurable. If she was working on my staff I would definitely be looking at promoting her to a job role that appreciated her skill set.

The service attendants at the actual 58th Ave. location were good to deal with. Booking from outside the city for a one-way/drop-off was awkward. U-Haul seems intent on forcing people to accept digital correspondence, email and text only. They were unable to get my street address or email address correct after repeated attempts, so I received no copy of my contract until arrival to pick up the rental. Travelling several hundred kilometers to pick up a truck, my email was not accessible, and I don't carry a cell phone with a data package. On pickup, I was advised that a printed copy of the contract was not possible. An exceptionally pleasant customer oriented attendant at another desk sensed my frustration and was able to respect my need for a copy of my contract and subsequently printed a hard copy for me. Make sure you ask attendants to read back information so you can get them to correct it in advance!!!

I got over charged for km's and gas although we made picture of kilometers when picking up the van and also after we returned it. Next time I will not leave the parking lot unless someone will look and make a notes in front of me after return.

I had two breakdowns that I called U-Haul for and 3 I fixed on my own. The trailer was a POS and I shouldn't have been charged for it. Then after I dropped it in the condition the told me to leave it in they charged me. Cleaning fee. I'll never go to U-Haul again. Originally booked truck to be picked up in Calgary and returned in Pincher Creek, which was an option on your own website. Was told less than 24 hours before picking up truck it couldn't be returned to Pincher Creek so we decided to bring it back to Calgary which means paying more for gas and having to keep it for another day. When we picked up the truck it was supposed to have 24 moving blankets with it, when we asked the employee about them he pointed at them from his chair and then just sat there while we hauled them to the far end of the lot. Was given a few different location options in Calgary to return the truck, again from your own website. Get to the location and are told we can't return it there even though it was one of the locations we were given from your website, we get to the second location we were given and they are already closed. Luckily the employee there was actually helpful (for the first time during this ordeal) and took it from us. Then I'm charged 20 $for an after hours drop off fee plus the extra time we had the truck. If your own locations can't handle these trucks of yours then don't have them as options on your website, and definitely don't send people to locations that are already closed. If I ever need a moving truck again I now know where not to go.

Booked with Michelle, awesome lady. Picked up with a gentleman who was efficient and knowledgeable. The return gentleman had a giant stick in his butt, zero customer service, felt cold and as though we were doing something wrong and in trouble. The clerk inside was very nice and friendly but could not understand us so there was a lot of repeating. All in all, i wound return butt how for the best that i don't have to interact with outside guy again.

The customer service was really bad. My reservation was originally for 1000 9 Ave SW location, and it was changed to Blackfoot trail without anyone calling me to confirm or explain. When I arrived, I was asking to drop off at the original location (near my home) instead of Blackfoot, and the person at the desk wouldn't help me at all. They wouldn't even explain why, they just gave me a really bad attitude and basically told me that I could either accept the truck without question, or leave without it. No effort at all to help me. The truck was great, and I was able to finally get help later in the day by a lady named Danielle at the Southern Alberta Scheduling call-in number. Danielle made a really bad experience good again, and I would really recommend her as a great employee. However, I would never recommend the Blackfoot location again because of the bad customer service there.

Laura was great at the desk as there were some technical issues. She kept her cool and made things happen. She also followed up with a drop-off alternative. On a less positive note, the truck was not clean and the fuel was not full. Finally, the temporary paper license plate had been severely water damaged and was illegible.

Truck was at the wrong location when we got there. So had to travel to another dealer to get the truck. Then there were no dolly's where the truck was so had to go back to the original dealer to get the dolly. Ended up being a hour and a half later before we left the dealer (11:30 am) pick up was at 10:00 am. And we had to pay the kilometres to drive to the other dealer and pick up the dolly. Then the employees have the audacity to say ‘be back by 2'. We got out task done and just made it back in time. Super disappointed, all we needed was a pickup truck and a dolly for 3 hours but instead we ad we paused for a stressful day full of uhauls problems we were required to fix. I retract my ‘super disappointed” comment, I'm disgusted with Uhaul's organization and customer service.

Everyone was sooo nice at this location! It sounds like uhaul had some sort of system disaster though. When I came they had given my pickup truck to someone else and gave me a giant truck instead, and when it was all done I got to come back for a refund. But one of the guys at the drop-off met me outside when I came back with the truck and it was totally seamless. Awesome, friendly people at this location and I would definitely use uhaul again! And I love the animals on the vehicles. I got the camel.

I was instructed to park in the vacant lot(Prestige Granite & Stone) next to the Uhaul location and was issued a parking ticket. When I asked if Uhaul would cover the ticket I was told no. They knew people were being ticketed and were still telling people to park there, absolutely unacceptable!

One representative was very nice. The other lady was very rude. She clearly has no idea about customer oriented services. Accused your customer "this person was always late", you have to think about it to say that. Rented lots from Uhaul last year, was treated like that make me speechless. Piece of shit! Done business with Uhaul.

trailer had not been swept out by previous customer? 4-pin connector was loose - not sure if it was your end or mine; signal lights worked intermittently. not sure why I was asked to copy my driver's licence online and on telephone - I did both. Staff were excellent to work with.

This is a notoriously complicated location - too busy, too small to handle the fleet and deeply under-staffed. Staff did their best to deal with the volume of customers, always running around, but it took me over 40 minutes to complete the rental and drive away with a trailer, something that should have taken no more than 10 minutes. They had to shuffle fleet and customer vehicles around the lot to maneuver, the system crashed during check-out... Quite frustrating. Self-service return after hours worked quite well.

Unrelated to this location: On the business end the daily phone calls before the trailer was even due back was completely unnecessary. Borderline harassment. Not sure I'll be renting again, may be easier to buy a trailer and sell it at your destination.

Got exactly what I reserved. In pretty reasonable shape for a moving truck, no complaints. Just take pics and videos yourself of all items, fuel, mileage etc. just in case, but that applies to all rentals not just UHaul or here.

This is a very busy location. When I walked in I was 8th in lone and even with prebooking I waited almost 30 minutes before it was my turn. The staff were great but not enough staff to meet the customer demand

The staff was friendly and customer service oriented. However, it appears the operations processes are in need of tightening up. There were several issues, including not having the extras I ordered online, (furniture dolly, appropriate amount of furniture blankets. Then was given a truck with extensive damage. They then switched out the truck last minute for another one without damage. The second truck only had half a tank of gas. I filled up to a full tank and drove to my destination. I did not use all the gas I put in. Uhaul then said I had received the truck on a full tank and charged me more for my gas. Then I called for a refund but instead of getting a refund, I got charged the same amount again. Not only that, the end destination said the contract had been updated that I took two trucks, when in fact, I only had the one truck. All staff I spoke to was friendly, however the operations of this company is very poor and in need of cleaning up.
