The truck they gave me still had trash in the front. The check engine light was on and the exhaust was messed up

The only teeny thing was that the cupholder was broken. Not a huge concern, but I would have used it if it was not broken! Overall, we had a great UHAUL experience!

Originally requested a non local travel. I was coming for Newport News, VA to Virginia Beach. They never contacted me to tell me they switched to a local travel so I had to drive all the way back to Newport News the following day to return the truck. It would have been nice to know that they did this prior to picking up my rental. I ended up paying additional fees just to drive it back to Newport News. The “manager” female, white blonde was very rude when I got to this location and not willing to accommodate. However, the black guy with dreads ensured I had a quick and easy check out process.

This is one of my favorite U-Haul locations. They normally have the needed equipment available and ready for use. Thanks for always being there when needed.

Online Reservation was simple and user-friendly. Pick-up and return was the same. All communication between UHaul staff and myself was pleasant, courteous and accommodating. The truck itself was very clean, easy to drive, open and close. Excellent and stellar service!

Very quick and easy to rent. The process has improved tremendously from the last time I rented a u haul

I went for a cargo van and the van was full of dog hair so I was upgraded to a 15 ft. Truck and it was nasty to say the least inside box was dirty and the interior was disgusting as well cigarette butts and ashes it the ashtray not wiped down or swept out the overall upkeep is deplorable

More attention should be given to the conditions of the equipment before renting. In my case, the back lifting door was very hard to raise and just as hard to pull it back down. It was as if it was off the tracks. This should have been identified by someone and corrected before renting it out. This was on 10 ft truck. I brought this to the attention of the person who checked me in. This truck had another renter waiting. I am betting that renter has the same problem.

The in store help was great. The web page & phone app were just about useless. The 1800gouhaul help was marginal at best. (Said my car dolly was returned but still listed as pending on website... then again, website could be wrong.)

I couldn't get the app to accept my photo of the odometer reading, must've tried 15 times. I was about to give up and saw the uhaul address on the return box, went back to the truck tried again and it went through on the first try. I guess you could work on that.

I needed and reserved the truck in Smithfield va. But the store over there rescheduled it for a store in Newport News. We had moving blankets reserved and they claimed they didn't have any. So I paid a lot more the the extra mileage. But I guess that's how y'all make money

i got good service from the u-haul place i rented from but the 10ft truck itself kept jerking and bouncing as it the shocks needed replacing all the way to chesapeake and back. and it was low on gas so had stop n get gas before i got on the road the also thde amount i paid was trice as much as the quite so wasnt prepared for the extra expense.

Maybe don't try to scam every customer. $10 was added to my bill for gas even though I brought it back with more gas then I left I showed attendant and all he could say is I'll have a manager fix this tomorrow. Also when I booked the u haul I was told first 30 miles are free. When I got my receipt I was charged for every mile there was no 30 miles included. I've done business at this location before this time just felt scummy. Hope the manager does call and address this otherwise I was lied to about that as well.

With a 12' trailer and no swivel caster is extremely difficult to lift by yourself. The pickup location had a jack. I did go afterhours to the drop off location but called to confirm I could drop off after hours. They should have mentioned the difficulty in removing the trailer by yourself without a jack and recommended coming when open. That could've been a huge liability if I got injured and I'm in good shape for a 32-year-old male and had a difficult time getting the trailer off the hitch.

Maybe wipe down truck cabs between customers. Cup holders/middle console had some nasty sticky stuff in it. Other than that it was a smooth experience.

The representative I spoke with was unprofessional. When I came to the desk he was eating food (McDonalds). Leaning across the desk, he did not speak clearly. When I asked a question pertaining the purchase, he seemed irritated, and made me feel as though he was getting irritated. There was no attempt to help me feel comfortable with my purchase. I was not knowledgeable of the process for renting a truck, and I did not feel as though the representative went above and beyond to assist me.

Very impersonable when dropping off the truck. No verification or final receipt provided. Just acknowledged the right drop off and that was it. Was pressured to return the truck as soon as possible since there was another customer waiting for it. I did originally request a 2 day rental because I knew I could not get it back before 10am.

There was snow all over the vehicle which we had to clean off ourselves. Then, the van was basically parked in and we had to squeeze ourselves out of the spot. This took 40 minutes into our reservation time. Then, we realized that the equipment we reserved was not in the van. We had to drive another 25 minutes back to the location to receive our reserved equipment to be told that there was no appliance dolly for us to use…so we had to drive to Home Depot to rent an appliance dolly since they couldn't provide us one. This is now 2 hours into our reservation. The help at this particular location was absolutely horrible. They did not try and help do anything and there is no chance I will ever recommend this location or uhaul again.

2 tires went flat as soon as I left the rental facility and it took 4 hours to get back on the road. I had to cancel my trip because the timeline was compromised by the flats and slow response. I was also charged more than initially agreed.

when u-Haul says the truck is full I don't agree. I put 11 miles on the truck. it took 4 gals to filled the truck up. I spent $13,33 to fill it up. I know I did not use 4 gal for 11 miles. I have the receipt to prove it. I think I should be reimbursed at least for 2 gals.
