The car hauler had a burned out running light in the back, and one strap was wrapped so tightly around the rachet handle it was unusable. The person who helped us however, went WAY above and beyond to help us in the situation we were in!

I ordered a 15 ft truck didn't have one gave me 17ft fan switch had a short so air wouldn't work all the time ordered dozen pads got 11 one smelled so bad couldn't use it ordered a dolly didn't have one so he gave me the office one. They tried to accomadate but things could be better

Fully inspect equipment, one tire strap was sheared in half and not usable. Employee did come to my home and replace it with a new one in good time but situation should not have occurred. All staff were very helpful, friendly and professional.

I would NEVER recommend anyone to use U-Haul. As a matter of fact, I’m going to post all over social media how awful of an experience I had. I reserved my U-Haul truck in Grand Blanc MI days in advance. Two days before I was to pick it up, I was left a voice mail to go to a different location because the one I reserved at would not have a truck. I was also told I would be given a mileage credit for the extra miles. When I got there the Flint store didn’t have a truck either. They had no clue who I was or what I was talking about. They finally figured out a way to give me a truck, but said there was no way they could give a mileage credit. I’m not quite sure why I was told that in the voicemail if it’s not something the employees have the ability to do. Their equipment did not work they couldn’t give me a receipt or any paperwork. The employees were Very Professional and Kind even as I was screaming at them for something they had no control of. It’s a shame your Dispatch department puts them in a position like that. If you want to keep your customers AND employees you might want to make some changes

Your so called express check in is everything but. It took over 25 mins to receive confirmation online that we were approved. By then, we had already gone inside and waited in line. Then, we were told that the truck we reserved was not available. We were given another truck but, instead of getting in and out quickly, we were there nearly an hour.

The 1st trailer was old dis colored, pass side tire bald in the middle and not clean. I rejected that one took another that really pulled hard, was it the bearings, bent axle after 27 years in car dealerships as a parts man and service advisor and management in both I knew it wasn't right but the manager told me well some don't pull as well as others. I rejected that one and was still chargerd for it. He must be on commission like I was in the dealerships. I will never go back there again.

All is good at the store other than dispatch change my reservation from a 17 to a 20 twice in two days offered me a 26 instead with no discount and then they gave away my 26. I'm unhappy of what this dispatch is doing the undercut the workers inside the shop oh, it actually it's screwing people that are renting because of their ignorance. It doesn't even offer a discount which I think I deserve they screwed up twice. Baby Penske would have been a better choice

If it was not for Josh the manager I would still be in Flint, Mi. Why reserve a truck ahead of time and it not be there? He did everything to help me out. He is an excellent employee. The employees that were there the morning I went to pick of the truck were very helpful but there hands were tied by company policy.

Reservations for 17 trucks made 6 months in advance for a large festival (fifth year in a row) were not honored. Rented small trucks, we were told 24 hours out I was getting 26 footers, which would not fit in most of our locations. I asked why the reservation said the were still several small trucks still in the reservation I was told "You didn't have ANY trucks this morning." Reworked the entire plan to accommodate larger trucks, picked up the trucks the next day and there were 8 smaller trucks. This caused a bigger problem because we had staged our supplies anticipating all 26 foot trucks. After five years of renting 15 or more trucks, as others throughout the year, it was unbelievable to be told that because I wanted to store supplies (for one of the largest road races in the Midwest) they could not let us have the trucks we ordered "to just sit around with water in them". Flint, Michigan is experiencing a water crisis that is known world wide, it's unfortunate U-Haul was unwilling to accommodate our attempt to provide exceptional customer service to our runners.

I feel 99 cents a mile is extremely high when all it cost in gas to drive the truck was 25 cents a mile. This is charging double and I don't think is fair. Other than that, The customer service was fairly good.

I've rented a few times from this location and everything has always gone well. Everything was great with this rental, except one thing. The cargo van was virtually brand new and drove great (for a cargo van!). However, I did have a problem with the requirement that I purchase the damage waiver. I explained that I have full coverage insurance that transfers into the van. The agent (who was great but seemed to have his hands tied on this issue) was not able to change the contract. He said I could talk to the GM when I returned the van. It took over 30 minutes for us to be on our way. When I brought the van back, I did not have time so I called today and ended up sending an email to service@uhaul.com to have the damage waiver refunded. I did not have time to be on hold for 15 minutes. My answer to the first question would be excellent if this had not happened. I would appreciate it if someone would refund the damage waiver.
