I was told by the attendant that they had no parking on the lot and I couldn't leave my vehicle during my local trip. There were 4 empty spaces in the row of trucks while I was there and I was going to pull my vehicle in were I pulled the truck out. The same 4 spaces were empty when I got back 6 hrs later. I was made to park in a near by business parking lot! As for the truckâ€¦. â€œBad ignition switchâ€Ignition key wouldn't turn. Tried multiple timesâ€¦ got out to verify right keys, and they were. So then put keys back in and started moving it out slowly and it turned overâ€¦ â€œcheck engine light was onâ€ The first thing I noticed when it startedâ€¦ â€œdrivers seatâ€ totally broken down on the left sideâ€¦. Leaned to the left significantly. Had a seat cover over it to hide the damageâ€¦ â€œOut of alignmentâ€ pulled terrible to the rightâ€¦. Over all my thoughts were a POS! The worst truck I've ever rented from U-Haul. Very disappointingâ€¦.. This is the first negative review I've ever givenâ€¦ But with everything happening the way it did I had to do itâ€¦..Kevin C.

Guy told me not to worry about the payment until I come down and return the vehicle. The next day the store clerk told me the vehicle was considered stolen in my system.Arthur R.

I told someone on the phone I needed it 2 days, and was told that it was going out at 9:30 the day after I was picking it up, I explained to Sarah that I had told them 2 days and she glibly said oh that must have been our mistake but DID NOTHING TO FIX It!! So we had to rent another truck the the next day and pick it up and waste time when we should have been able to keep the one I RENTED!!!! Also- I was charged for 3 gallons of gas, when I got in I adjusted it to be accurate, it was marked too high. The tank when I returned it was in the exact same spot as when I left with it. The gauge on the contract looks very different than the gauge on the dash and it matched. 14, and some change I was charged I shouldn't have been.Dawn F.

WHEN I ARRIVED I WAS TOLD THERE WAS NO CUSTOMER PARKING,I AM SURE NOT EVERYONE WHO RENTS A TRUCK HAS SOMEONE DROP THEM OFF.I NEVER HAVE.MY RENTAL HAD A FEW MINOR PROBLEMS,REAR OVERHEAD DOOR AND THE SEAT BELT ALARM SOUNDED EVEN THOUGH MY BELT WAS FASTENED.YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE EMPLOYEE WAS VERY HELPFUL AND PLEASANT AND ASKED ABOUT EQUIPMENT PROBLEMS & SAID SHE WOULD ADDRESS THEM.steve A.

Take your customers seriously when they are communicating dissatisfaction with the crappy service or trucks that are not well maintained. We had to buy windshield wipers because the ones on the truck did not work. Btw, it was very dirty. I wish I had a better review. The sarcasm experienced from staff when communicating our disappointment at the experience with the truck was pretty obvious. Will not make business again with you guys.Aidee D.
The receptionist was not very friendly. I was told that I was not allowed to park my vehicle in the parking lot in order to rent a vehicle. (Does not make sense)Marco M.

Customer service at pickup was rude. Acted as if she was better than the customer. Drop off was great, good customer service from a different employee on the same day.David C.
The people who helped me were great, got me in and out fast. Truck was clean, ran well once I got it started. Biggest problem was the ignition is lose and so every time I went to start it, I had to push the brake and wiggle the key and wiggle the key and try to get the tumblers to fall in place so I could start it. Sometimes it was 30 seconds sometimes it was several minutes. It was annoying. I definitely will tell anyone I hear wanting to get a UHaul from that locationAdam G.

We arrived to the 1 st location and the store was closed. We waited about 30 minutes then called uhaul customer service. We waited another 30 min. (I also had people at my house I was paying hourly during all of this to help us move) We could not get our truck. We then had to drive from Canton Oh to Massillon Oh to get a uhaul. The staff there was friendly however they did not have a van available and I had to take a 10ft truck that cost more in gas and uses way more gas. They gave me the mileage rate of the van but it still cost way more for the trucks gas. The uhaul was clean but falling apart. Everytime you shut the drivers door the handle came off. It was also difficult to start. The key had to be half out and twisted for it to allow it to turn on. They gave me a $50 refund which is kind however I spent more than I would've ldue to uhauls error.Aprril M.

I went to a rented a trailer I needed a trailer that was at least 5 foot wide so I asked if the 5 x 9 trailer was 5 foot wide she said yes my YouTV would not fit in this trailer because the trailer box is only 4â€˜4â€œ wide I was not very happy with the time when I got back there you were closed which is understandable because it's a Saturday so I simply drop my rental off and will have to eat the $30 rental fee I feel it's wrong because you advertise a 5 x 9 trailer and it is not rightFred H.

The sales woman made it a point to remind us that if we did not return the van on time we could be charged with petty theft. I thought this was offensive to even make that statement. So we left a $50 000 in the parking lot to ensure her that we were not going to steal the Uhaul Van.Ester T.
Other than not being able to park on the the lot - I was able to park in the grass cross from the location , I just didn't like the fact of not being able to park in the lot itself . check in girl was super friendly and helpfulLisa B.

The whole process of paperwork and checkout is relatively quick and easy. And returning, the same, as long as the location is open. Doing a return online can be howeverâ€¦.another story, as too often â€œtechnical difficultiesâ€ pop up and consume waaaaaay too much time to accomplish the return process, great Customer Service Reps!! Jordan was very nice and helpful. However the 6x12 enclosed trailer that we got had a flat tire on the lot. It was the only one available in the entire surrounding area. Jordan immediately called for her regular service provider to come fix/replace the tire. They said they would be there right away. We waited 2 hours. After several follow up calls we decided to go to a station and pay to get it fixed ourselves so we could get on the road. As soon as we left the repair guy showed up. Jordan called and we went back to the Uhaul lot and he replaced the tire in 3 minutes and we were on our way. Two hours of our valuable time was wasted waiting for the repair. The store knew we were picking up the trailer that morning because they called us the day before to let us know that the appointment we had in Wilmot, OH wasn' t available (which is a whole other major fowl up on Uhaul's part). But they knew we were coming and nobody checked to make sure it was road worthy and ready to go in time to have avoided this enormous time waster. I was out of state and will probably never need service in this area again so I would not be recommending a location to any one.Terry L.

No improvement needed. The Manager was friendly and she did an excellent job. The cab of the truck was the cleanest cab of a U-Haul that I've ever used.Robert M.
My initial rental online was for a different location, but I was not informed until I arrived at thar location that I would have to go to another one. The owner at this first place was actually in the process of writing a letter to customer service about such problems. This change of location added time away from work since I was picking up on my lunch hour, and added additional coat because the change in pickup/drop off location added additional mileage to my rental. Had I known of this problem ahead of time I would have changed locations to a more convenient one. I don't understand how you could allow someone to book a rental online at location that isn't even permitted to carry the size of vehicle I was requesting. The place I actually picked up from was very good and this wasn't their fault, but you really need to fix this problem with online schedulingErik E.

The girl behind the counter acted like she didn't want to do anything and that we was wasting her time and I paid for a appliance dolly and there was a utility dolly in the back of the truck. It was very hard to use the utility dolly on appliances.Josef J.

Please check your rentals and ensure the appropriate dolly is included in the rental. I was charged $10 for an appliance dolly but got the utility dolly instead. I called the store and left a message requesting a return call. That was over an hour ago. I know mistakes happen, but I would like this resolved as it happened last Saturday.Lisa H.

Very limited parking area. Several trucks were being returned at the same time - making the lot very congested. But there isn't much that can be done about that. Very good experience overall.Joe R.

You may want to consider the late out. If there are multiple vehicles in the return lane, the is barely enough room to get a cargo van out. The larger trucks could not be moved until that lane is cleared. I could not give you and excellent rating, because I had nothing to compare it to. Your review questions are purely focused on the location, with no mention of the staff members. Which means that they are not getting acknowledged for the poor or excellent service that they provide.
