Focus on getting the customers needs processed. I was happy with the work done and the service, but the wait to be helped was an issue. In the end I was late for work because if that time ( ignoring the fact that I failed to plan). I was ignored by the staff that wasn't at the desk for about 10 minutes when they could have re-directed me immediately.ERLING A.

The representative that assisted me had another customer who was waiting for equipment to come back. The representative called the person who currently had the equipment out and explained it was due back 10am... it was 11am at this time. The customer on phone was hard to deal with, apparently arguing over contract return time. The customer must have said they weren't aware, also that she uses the store often, and that it has never been issue in past the representative was very professional and graceful, explain that the contract indicates a return of 10am and that the customer agreed to the contract by signing. The representative, with the other customer in the store waiting for the equipment, asked how soon the lady could come back... the lady said she was in Cincinnati!! The representative was very professional, pleasant, and graceful throughout the telephone call. I teach prevention and management of disruptive behavior (deescallation) ... I complimented the representative on handling the call ... resisting the urge to become frustrated, hostile, threatening. Sadly, I didn't get her name, but she was one of only two ladies working at the facility on Stumpf Rd in Parama, Ohio. She did an amazing job with lady on phone and helped to find a solution with customer in the store, all while remains calm, professional and pleasant!!!ERNEST S.

Your employee Heather Allen ( I don't know for sure if this was her name, but it is the name that showed up on my rental paperwork at pick up that marked the gas and mileage for the truck) at this branch was so unprofessional and unnecessarily rude and downright disrespectful. She said and I quote as soon as I walk into the location before I could even reach the counter â€œ Oh this must be the kid who kept changing his pick up time who does he think he isâ€ when I got to the counter she said â€œ I shouldn't even let you take this truck because you changed your pick up timesâ€ to which I replied â€œI changed it twice to available times that you had and I'm paying for itâ€ then as she was getting the keys she said â€œ do you even know how to drive you better not mess up this truck. And incase you see there is a curb pulling out of here so don't hit itâ€ I replied that â€œthe license your is holding states that I am have a commercial drivers license and I drive bigger trucks than this everyday not that it was any of her businessâ€ then I asked about dropping it off overnight as the scheduler stated when I made the reservation and the instructions I received via the Uhal website for my specific rental that I can drop it off after hours just fallow the return instructions and steps sent to me via a link to my phone after booking the reservation. Heather said â€œno we don't have the staff in the morning to handle that so you can't bring it overnight you need to park it somewhere else and bring it after we openâ€ I replied that their lack of staff should have nothing to do with the time I return the truck. Heather wasn't having it and told me that I am not allowed to bring it until the next day. This was the worst experience I have ever had with Uhal ever and we have used Uhal for all moving needs. This girl alone is enough to run the place out of business if she treats all the customers that way. I have no idea how she is still employed here and how the management turn a blind eye to her inexcusable behavior to a paying customer who didn't do nor say anything. This terrible treatment happened before I even reached the counter to pick up my rental. Next time I would rather overpay and rent a truck from Penske. Please terminate this employee as I'm sure she will drive away everyone else who comes to this establishment.JAMES D.

I was scheduled to have a hitch installed which I had preordered and was on the way to the install appointment when I received a text that my parts weren't in. I was almost there so I went in and they had called another store who had the parts and were able to complete the install as scheduled. My experience with this U-Haul location was a nightmare from the moment I set foot in the door on 10/12. First, Mark the GM did not enter my order/reservation properly. Ashley informed me almost immediately there was no order in system for trailer hitch, wiring package & installation of these items. I had made 2 previous trips in person to coordinate this, both with Ashley & then Mark. When I received the confirmation email for my order did not indicate the hitch & wiring packages were part of this order, I made certain to note in the comments section these were part of the order, as was installation at 10 AM. OBVIOUSLY NOBODY READ THIS NOTATION! Fortunately they had the parts, but could not install them for me for another couple hours. Problem was my plans had me departing for FL the following day, but I was delayed packing the trailer. to compound matters it was impossible to get in contact with this location for any updates as my call kept rolling over into automated call center system. When I was finally called back, Ashley acted as if there was no reason for concern and expressed zero empathy for my moving situation. I finally took possession of the trailer with hitch installed more than 3 hours later than what had been coordinated as best to my knowledge. My intent was to depart OH on 10/13, hotel reservations had been made for 10/13 & 10/14, and planned arrival in FL on 10/15. This entire debacle set me back and I had to make last minute alteration to my move due to the U-Haul miscommunication. This required me to cancel 2 hotel reservations, make new reservations for 1 day later, hence I arrived in FL a day later than planned. This would not have happened if Mark & Ashley had actually listened and were capable of any empathy for their customer. In addition, I only found out on Saturday 10/16 that the hitch & wiring were not rentals but I had purchased them. And to compound this matter, I waited 45 minutes for a return call from the Call Center hoping to coordinate my drop off for following day. While I did get a call back 45 minutes later, I ended up speaking with 4 different CS reps over a 20 minute period. Each of these 4 conversations had me starting from scratch as to what my need/request was, and TBH 2 reps were helpful but the other 2 were not. The communication was horrendous! I feel justified in claiming I should be provided some financial credit for this nightmare of an experience!Gerald V.

Reserved a 20 truck and received a 15 that sounded like it needs to be taken out to pasture. The only compensation we received was 0,15 off a mile, sort of disappointed in that. The staff however was very friendly and nice.SARAH F.

Very upset. Made reservation to pick up at 6Am. My reservation stated that and was confirmed with uhaul rep a day before over the phone. However when I arrived at 6am to pick it up was not able to do so. Told I had to pick up at 9am when store opened and was not able to complete my move by losing those 3 hours. Remote pickup was terrible. It took 30 minutes of my rental time to wait for â€œapprovalâ€ from an online chat and when I called customer service it was a 64 minute wait. I inputted credit card in advance as well as driver info and license, and we still had to retake pictures of the license twice that morning. It added an insane amount of stress to an already stressful moving day as I waited for 30 minutes for this â€œapprovalâ€ to get the keys to the truck as we waited next to the truck. Drop off went great with an actual person.Richard M.

Price and installation were great. However I had two problems with customer service. First time I drove 25 minutes only to be told that the hitch was not available and I would have to reschedule. I was told that someone called me the day beforeâ€"No one ever called. Second time I left my car for the day and was told someone would call when it was doneâ€"no one ever called.Robert D.
