I though when I got the equipment the employees were detach from customer service. My experience in other offices were way much better. Still will use U-Haul in another place.

Michelle RenerThe young man that waited on us was very thorough and did his job as he was supposed to. Side note. This has nothing to do with this facility. This is on Uhaul Corporate. I had to make a 140 mile round trip to pick up this trailer and that is simply not acceptable. This cost me the better part of the day when I should have been packing up which lead us to leaving late and having to pull a 42 ft 5th wheel in the dark and didn't arrive at our next campsite until very late. Shame on you!

William KeeganThe equipment was well-maintained. However, it may have just been returned because it had not been cleaned yet. It's a motorcycle hauler and there was a screw on the floor of it, which obviously is bad news for a tire, cigarette butts, and an Allen wrench. Although it was an easy fix and did not discourage us from renting it, or from renting from this place again. also the people there were wonderful. I am sorry I forgot the young man who hooked us all up, but he was great. Julie Oh who worked with us and got the paperwork done, and Abdullah, who checked us back in.

nathaniel stegallThe staff was very pleasant and helpful, my only issue with the experience was that I had an 11am appointment which I was early for and still another vehicle that arrived well after me was started before mine. My vehicle was not made available to me until 4:15pm. It's frustrating to be told 2 hours and not have the vehicle available until 5 hours later. I was given an $8 dollar refund for this, which, I honestly could've done without. $8 for a 3 hour mistake is kind of insulting, no one's time is worth $2 an hour.

Jordan MacKenzieWhen picking up the truck the tire sensor was lit. Rather than check tire pressure the rep said the sensor just wasn't cleared and told me to take the truck. I requested a change. It was changed to an older truck that broke down along I-26 in South Carolina. Service arrived 4 hours later with me (age 70) and wife (66) sitting along side of interstate highway. Arrived at our destination in the dark which we had planned not to be driving in nighttime conditions. Ask for a refund on the $510,63 charge. Was told because you completed our trip they wouldn't do it. Price reduced $100 and gift certificate to U-Haul for $100. Look at other reviews for early March 2024. Avoid this store at all costs.

Jim DemarsI'm handicapped and was having a hitch installed so that I can carry my electric wheelchair so obviously I didn't have it with me when I came to this location. The manager was wonderful. He allowed me to do my paperwork outside in my van and I paid through the app And I just sat outside on a folding chair and waited for the work to be complete. They did a great job and only took an hour and I can't be happier.

I get it, Uhaul likes the idea of Raping the customer with the OVER Priced fueling fees and enjoys that most over fill the vehicle when it is returned. It is Also annoying when your staff fails to read the milage correctly as well as the fuel gage.
Bryan SeppVery helpful! This was a 1600 mile move in a 10 ft truck towing my car. The equipment was SOLID and not at all stressful to drive. (Except through Louisiana- who should be ashamed of their roads!) All U-Haul staff was friendly and professional! Such a good experience!

Andrew Ali HammThis facility is the most "U-Haul "appropriate store in town. It has every item that you want for moving and all of the staff appeared to be focused on U-Haul. This is also a safer space with mini cameras, and no people that are not supposed to be there. The best thing to improve in general would be to have all the other U-Haul operators and Gainesville go and spend 30 minutes at this one to see what a real U-Haul store should appear as.

Chris JetteUpon pickup I was told there was no dolly or furniture pads (both of which are essential for a move). The manager acted like it was nonchalant and that maybe another store had some. Luckily we were able to get some from our Moving Help guys but U-Haul just wasn't reliable in our time of need. In addition, the contract was only drawn up for 42 miles even though the drop off location is 54 miles from the pick up location ?????? So it was automatically setting us up for extra fees. Will never used UHaul again
Jacqueline DostineCustomer service was none existent. The team forgot my dolly and I had to make a return trip back to get it and that was not deducted from my overall mileage charges. The vehicle was stink. Had a foul odor. And it was in need of brakes. The brakes squeak so loud when stopping and you have to literally push the brake all the way to the floor and then the brakes start grinding. This is the only way to make the truck stop. I almost rear ended someone twice because of the brakes being so bad. You all should refund me and this experience should be on the house because it was absolutely horrible!!!

Michelle RenerThe associate Raymond was rude and not helpful. He asked me to back up even though I was in the drop off area. He was wearing his headphones and would not communicate with me. He did not guide me back resulting in the tow dolly to jacknife and cause damage to my vehicle. When I attempted to communicate to Raymond he just kept shaking his head in disgust. The location in clermont, FL had the absolute best customer service, but the Gainesville location was terrible. I truly believe the associate Raymond should be held responsible. I hope Uhaul will make this incident right.
Conrad SammonsContract was messed up, storage location was not colocated with office. Ended up cancelling the storage option. Secondary location was closed, uhual customer service on the phone was absolutely no help. I would not recommend to a friend and will be giving uhaul a follow up phone call.
William ClarkYoung mechanic in a bit of a hurry and stripped connection on battery using a power tool......he just drove it down plus too much...i watched him do it.....the battery cable came loose several times coming back to indiana.....took a bit of rigging on the road to keep it connected till i got home. Will need to replace entire end of cable attachment to battery!!! Glenn Leiby
