I am very shocked at what I had to pay for a six hour rental. Only used 40 km And it cost me 110.00 with the gas replacement Uhaul should really offer a seniors rate!!!! We don't damage equipment and always return the equipment clean and on time.

I showed my I'd, I don't agree with having to call a contact person at 7am. When we did our walk thru the truck I noticed a dolly and a bag of blankets attached to the wall. I was told they to stay there or I will get charged if I remove them. Well their were in my way when I tried to load the truck. A real pain to try to work around these items tied to the wall.

I had to wait 2 weeks to move because I needed the cargo trailer. I also had to go across the city to pick it up because that was the only location it was available. When we went to pick up the cargo trailer that morning, the lights on the trailer were not working, leaving me with the only option to take the open utility trailer. Even though I have confirmation for the CARGO trailer. IF I wanted this utility trailer I could have moved over two weeks ago and could've picked it up at a location a lot closer to my house. No other option or discount was offered. Very disappointed and unimpressed.

I pre-booked everything online yet I still had a fairly long wait at both pickup and drop off. You need more than 1 person at the counter at all times.

I received 6 emails and had to provide three phone #'s to pick up a cargo van. The van was dirty when I picked it up. I used the van for a couple of hours moving a couch and was charged a $25 cleaning fee when I dropped it off. This is ridiculous! Why am I being charged a cleaning fee? The back of the van was clean!

Huge HUGE potholes on entrance, so bad actually thought it damaged my Jeep and/or U-Haul trailer I was towing. Store night and clean, but woefully understaffed on a Monday morning. Long long time waiting. Computer system slow and glitchy, corrected my address on file for 3rd time, changes don’t seem to change. Staff trying their best, very helpful and friendly.

Booked the truck around 6 weks in advance. Was called and changed the trucks and location around 4 times. Last time was just 2 day before my move day. In the move day my truck was not there as scheduled and was proposed to go to other side of the city and get another truck and to bring it back earlier than I was boked before. So, instead of getting the truck for 6 hours, I got it for less than 3 hours. I spent much more time on the road, spent much more on gas and km. I unloaded the truck under the hail because U haul was calling me and threatening that will charge me 50$ if I'll be late.

The guy was great but they billed me over a m ok nth later no one could tell me anything about my rental contract and no one called me back and no billed me for an extra 2 days that I rented the truck from a Friday and to it be dropped off on the Tuesday and now they are saying I went 2 days over what a joke the place in Calgary was to rent from and this location knew nothing about my contract and that the truck was disgusting and gross when I got it and they said it should have been cleaned and good to go for me and now a month later after constantly trying to get ahold of me send me an email of an invoice for another $100.00 I dont think so customer service was crap and no one called me back it's been over a month and I get billed now!

I'm quite sure I got jobbed on the gas. The gauge showed it being full when I picked it up but I only drove 22 miles and spent $21 filling it up. That seemed unreasonable and the person at the shop was completely un-apologetic. Other than that service was good though.

We made reservations for an enclosed trailer 1 month prior to insure availability. When we arrived on Saturday to pick up the trailer we were advised that it wasn't rentable due to a broken tail light and it couldn't be fixed since the maintenance team wasn't onsite. No other enclosed trailers were available - all rented for that weekend. It is very disappointing that we had to revert to a smaller trailer due to a maintenance issue. One would expect that you check your equipment prior to it being rented to insure it is road worthy. We weren't offered any other solution and had to go through a line up of trailers asking ' is this one available?'..... Very poor customer service.

This location was convenient to dropoff the truck as it was closeby where I was moving into. I arrived June 30 at 8:30 AM, 30 minutes before the store opened, there was a growing lineup of customers outside so I went with the phone/mobile drop-off and it was great! Found a place to park and went through the steps on the webpage and took pictures, very simple and easy.

Give all particulars of the rental request up front at the time of the booking. Don't surprise the customer with a change to the rental expectations 10-14 days after that initial set up. We rented a 10' truck for 2 days on initial set up. Advised 10-12 days later that vehicle was NOT available for that time frame. Fortunatley, a 9' van was available that did meet ourt needs. It was a surprise I did not need at that time with a big move ahead. I undersrtand that I probably spoke to an Operator not located at the 50 St location but a more timely updare would have been appreciated.

This is the location I dropped off the unit. It was closed at 5:00 PM Sunday which is 24 hours after the pick up from Symons Valley in Calgary. 3 days later I was charged 3 extra days which is absolute theft. I want this money returned to me. Uhaul has not responded to 3 emails. Who runs a business like this?

This location was great. Your overall company is absolutely terrible. The corporate backing (service and scheduling) have THE WORST customer service I’ve ever received. Service and scheduling just wanted to transfer me back and forth until eventually one hung up on me which is frustrating because then I have to wait another 15 minutes on hold before connecting with someone again. Nobody reached out to me to tell me that my preferred location wouldn’t be my pick up location like the email says. The pick up location ended up being half an hour across the city and not even close to my preferred location. So I ended up driving around aimlessly for half the day wasting time. I will never use U-Haul again and I will steer as many people away from this company as possible. The location itself was fine and ran like a business should. It was sad to hear they couldn’t do anything about the god awful customer service there company has to offer and the processes that they have put in place for these locations (like calling a reference to make sure it’s real and without warning that they’re about to do that). For a professional it can be degrading. Please do better U-Haul. For now, I will put you on blast anytime that I have the chance.

Make sure when the reservation is booked that you don’t call with less than eight hours and inform the customer that an all day rental is now only four hours it adds a lot of stress and an organization to someone who is planned all day to move and then is only told you have four hours and then when you get there your payment can’t be done in two different forms it can only be done in one so I was very disappointed this is two times in a row that this is happened I will not recommend or use Uhaul in the future

1. Uhaul staff recommended a cargo van to handle the move. We went with their recommendation then ended up having to make 2 round trips therefore increased mileage which cost us more. We would have been better off with a cube van. 2. The fuel gauge registered about 7/8 full but agent indicated on paperwork that it was completely full yet still had to return the vehicle with a full tank. 3. I found the steering to be vague at best, not what I would expect from a new vehicle. It would not maintain an even course. I was concerned about my safety. 4. Despite having reserved the vehicle the day before the move I had to wait in line for at least 30 minutes before an agent was able to process the vehicle.

The lineup was very long and we ended up having to wait 1 hour before we were able to pick up the vehicle. The staff were very good and helpful. The truck was clean for the most part but there were a lot of bugs covering the front of the vehicle, making it impossible to see if there were any issues. Great truck though as it was bigger than I expected.

I got into the rental and the gas gauge was below where the print out said it was. The print out said it was at 1/4 when it was actually just above 1/8. I was told by raven that it would be corrected and that she took a picture. I brought the truck back with exactly where the gas was when I initially took the truck and was told that it had not been updated. Raven was not working at the time and no one had access to her work phone. I put in another 20L in gas and had the gauge just under half. I was told I would be compensated for the mistakes that were made but recieved none. It's funny how your company charges people for gas when the gauge is below but does nothing when the gauge is above. Would not reccomend this to anyone. I will be writing a Google review as well.

You need to have a clearly defined line up. It was an absolute mess when i was in the store. I joined what i thought was the end of the line, then new people joined in at the other side. We had to use an honour system to figure out whos turn it was next. luckily the other patrons were good people who did take turns, but you need a clearly defined single line up and just help the next person in the line. Also, I was billed for an item that i was told I wouldnt be billed for. My truck had a dolly zip tied to it with green zip, and i already rented a utility dolly. i did originally want both, but, the lady said cause that one was zipped in , if i didnt use it i wouldnt be billed. i was billed for it anyway and it just wasnt worth wading through that line up again to get my 7 dollars back., ALSO. I was told i couldnt rent the truck for 2 days straight, but they did their absolute best to let me rent it 2 days and late apts so i could return it late. but on the saturday we finished and i told the guy at the counter to cancel my apt for sunday. he said he did, but uhaul was calling me the next day asking where was i to pick up the truck when i was told the apt was cancelled. i do keep coming back to this location because its honestly good service and i wouldnt want to deal with one of those corner stores that only do uhaul on the side. oh yeah, i tried the 24/7 app thing, and i could not get the app to take the first picture of me, the driver. i gave up and just talked to the counter staff. they said the app not working is very common.

everything was quite good. The listing price on the rent of the appliance trolley had a note plus the agent originally said it was $10 but when I picked up the truck and the trolley and wheeled mover, it came out to $12 even though the sign still said $10. Then I was told that the $10 was intended to in-town moving, not one way moving. This should have been clearly explained at the start of my inquiry.

Thank God for good service HERE, when we dropped off the truck and auto transport (which we had trouble with) the customer service rep at this location confirmed that in fact the auto transport should NOT have been rented out as this piece of equipment was a hazard and unsafe for the highway and highly suggested we contact the rental location for compensation However we are still waiting for a resolution.

Aside from that they would not rent car dolly too me things were fine had to drive car back instead car I wanted to dolly was an 88 Fiero with modified body kit that was 84 inches so would not fit your car hauler which is 79inches fender to fender rhink u should have some allowances for people like me as your car dolly qould jave been great for what I wanted spent almost 2 hrs in total on phone between lady in Ohio and then got cut off and people here Special nite ALL PEOPLE VERY CURTEOUS SO WAS NOT SO BAD THEY WERE TRYING TO MAKE WORK THANKS FOR LISTENING I normally rent car hauler sm dure between me and friends over 20 times and that's what I always tell people too GREAT TOOL LOL AND I DONT HAVE TO STORE THANKS TOM

There was only one person working the counter, with a line up of 6 clients. I booked online and paid in advance, but still had to wait 45 min to get a truck. Prior to booking online, I called several times but was put on hold and my call wasn't answered. Even though I had photo ID, they insisted on calling someone to verify who I was. The guy performing the preuse inspection was over the top taking pictures of every little scratch and blemish. I won't be returning to this location.

I was unable to provide 2 contact people who would answer their phone when called. This is in the middle of a work day,,,how many people are able to answer their personal phone during work hours? My recourse was to travel 4 hours to get my passport then travel another 4 hours to pick up the rental. Seriously? you should work with your customers and not hinder the rental process. For that reason I would not recommend U HAUL to anyone. You are a pain in the ass to deal with, have no idea of customer satisfaction protocol and have no interest in meeting a customer half eay.

Dealers need to start checking tire pressures. trailer had one tire 30psi low and the other 10psi higher than recommend pressure on tire. Had tire start overheating 30 minutes after starting trip. Had to allow the tire to cool down, limp the trailer to the next city and buy a bike pump. Wasted at least an hour of my time and extra money to maintain their equipment.

You have charged me twice, I paid with my bank card and you charged my credit card as well with a $.37 difference! Fix this please. And you were very parsimonious about your gas. We were sent to fill the tank to 3/4 full. We did that, but the needle was just under the 3/4 mark, not on it. So, you charged us an extra $10.00 for the gas...not very forgiving.

The trailer I rented was ok. But I paid for a full day and was only allowed to have the trailer for 9 hours. Then I tried to rent a second trailer for the following week and found out u haul does not rent to Ford explorers. Your website has no issue accepting Ford explorers as a vehicle when you fill out the information on your website , then arrive at your store only to find out you will not rent to that vehicle. U haul gets worse every time I deal with you. Very disappointed customer.

I've driven numerous vehicles professionally. If you were to take the vehicle through a check stop, it probably would be taken off the road. I was not impressed as to the way the whole vehicle ran. I drove it for approximately 25 miles and it used more gas than my vehicle uses in a week. I will not be renting from U-HAUL anymore.

It took 45 minutes of waiting in line to pick-up my vehicle. It was a perfect storm - it was the 1st of the month in June, on a Saturday. Everyone was there for the same reason. The only thing that might have worked better was to have one or two more people working the desk and/or yard people to help with vehicle pick-ups.

I waited in line for a while to return the truck keys. About 1 hour after returning the truck keys, I was called and asked to come back again, to refund me my deposit. I just wish that they could have provided me the refund when I dropped off the truck keys, after waiting in line for a while.

This entire experience was a disaster! I booked a 15 ft truck for 24 hours, 10 am on June 01 to 10 am on June 02, confirmed by both e-mail and text message. Two days later I received another text stating that the truck would now be available from 7 am June 01 to 1 pm June 01. I called the 50th St location and they were not helpful and they transferred me to your scheduling office where I was told that the latest text was an error and that my 24 hour rental was back on, and they confirmed this by another e-mail. About two hours later I received another text from the 50th St office restating the 6 hour rental from 7 am to 1 pm. So I called the scheduling office again, this time speaking to a different agent who also informed me that there was another 15 ft truck at the 50th St location so my original 24 hour rental period was back on again, and this was also confirmed by e-mail....and you guessed it, two hours later I received another text from the 50th St office putting my rental period back again to the 7 am to 1 pm same day time frame. At this point I was well beyond being frustrated, I was very angry. So I reluctantly accepted the same day 6 hour rental and showed up at the 50th St office at 7 am, only to wait in line for an hour and a half, plus another 15 minutes at the counter with a new employee who kept making errors with my rental agreement. So I now had a truck at 8:50 am and still had to return it by 1 pm, giving me only 4 hours to move all of my belongings. At 12:15 pm it became obvious that there was no way that we could complete my move by 1 pm so I called the 50th St office and asked for an extension. They said no, and again referred me to the scheduling office who also said no. I was offered a $50 rebate on my credit card for my troubles. WOW! I returned the truck by 1 pm and had to rent another vehicle from an acquaintance who owns a garage in order to complete my move. So much for customer service. You really messed up my day and I assure you that my next move will NOT involve U-Haul!!

Hi - so my reasons for commenting above the way I did - my pick up was very good and John Bellamy was very helpful. However, the self return was cumbersome. Also, because the returns were backed up to the gate, I had to park the truck in the South East corner of the lot, otherwise I felt I would have been blocking access lanes. So I pulled it up to the curb. I tried to call the direct phone number from the contract the next morning to ensure this was ok, but was on hold twice - the first time, after 15 minutes, I got another phone call, and lost my connection so had to call back. The second time I was on hold for 1 hour and 10 minutes (I took a screenshot of my phone at this point). I finally gave up holding because I could not understand how the phone call could not be taken care of after over an hour of waiting on hold (all the while being told by the automated voice every few seconds that a representative would be with me in a moment). Very frustrating.

The lady who checked me in had an attitude that made me feel I was inconveniencing her with my business. Very impatient, outwardly annoyed, treated co-worker with disrespect. Overall caused quite an uncomfortable and unpleasant experience. I get the impression the root cause was insufficient support staff. With the high volume of customers, it was too much activity and pressure for one or two people to manage effectively. I would have been stressed and impatient too.

Make a specific file for people who have already registered online. We waited 1 hour to pick our equipement ecause of the queue of people there, all doing all the paperwork at the counter! There was garbage in the trailer (wood chunks and old nails, no good).

The interior of this truck was very, very dirty/greasy. To the point that the passenger could not wear the greasy seat belt. The seats and doors and handle grips around the door were filthy!!! When we got to our destination we thoughrally spray cleaned the seats and doors and tried to wash the black grease off the passanger seat belt. We realize the company deals with very inconsiderate people. But this should have been caught by who ever moved the truck. The steering wheel was so sticky, dirty NO ONE could have missed that!!! We felt the front end was mechanically unsafe and where scared to even do 100 klm with it. Other than that the staff really new the business and were 100 % efficient.Excellent front end staff!!! Yes we would go back, but very carefully inspect the inside as well as the outside.

Bringing the uhaul back was a fine experience. Getting the uhaul was a mess. Both recieving the uhaul and bringing it back, I found this location to be severely under staffed. It took almost an hour both times to be served, and that cut into the time I was paying to use the truck. I was also quoted 3 different prices, and worst of all was told it was $100 if I paid cash, but $150 dollars if I paid debit. That to me is absolutely crazy. In fact, it guaranteed that I will not ever be using uhaul, nor will I recommend it to anyone. The person who helped us when we received the uhaul was not trained and needed help from another staff member to do everything. Very disappointed with the service.
