Let's start with how I ended up at this location. My first stop was on 7/Van Dyke and the guy that worked there Sunday,, August 14th morning front desk was rude and needs a hug. He does not need to be the face of your company! Whew, thats over with... Went online booked a truck and went tp pick it up and the location was closed. Frustrated, I called customer service and Shannon (phone customer service) was AMAZING! She re-booked our reservations and directed us to your Livernois location. The service here is above A grade.. They took care of business. We had a few laughs, and great equipment, memorable experience with this team. Shouts out to the gentleman named Ritzi that assisted us. He is the face that represents your company well. Professional level customer service. In having so many obstacles yesterday, he and Shannon made our day happen for us! Standing ovation team!

The trailer had a bald tire The had to be chamged and NEVER should have been rented in the first place. Not only was the tire bald but the trailer went down the road crooked. The hitch was hard to use, it went down but was extremely hard to get back up.

My truck reservation was delayed - a service rep at the location told me that I could pick it up after hours. When I went to pick it up, it wasn't set up for mobile pick up, so I had to come back the next day, delaying my move. Additionally, there were many additional fees that were not made clear to me when I made the reservation online.

Trailer was dirty, oily, filthy with grease grime, nuts and bolts and car small parts all over. Trailer was not useable for my furniture without putting a tarp down cause of all the grease, grime and oil residue left from a previous rental.

First off, I made a reservation for a location on Telegraph which was 10 minutes away from my old place and 10 minutes away from my storage unit. The day of pick up, they changed my location without my knowledge or consent to a location 20 minutes away. Not only did I have to add more mileage, it made my payment increase significantly. I am very upset and would not recommend Uhaul to anyone! Not to mention the truck was dirty and had an odor!!

They need more help and they need more training for customer services I was yelled at and I was trying to rent a truck and get one month free storage and I only got the storage and he did not try to at least see if anything was available at another store I could have got the deal I needed so I’m extremely disappointed and I had to cry to get directions to my storage

The staffing isn't friendly. They need to know most people don't rent uhauls frequently and may ask questions to better understand the process. Staff needs to be patience when a customer needs clarification. Take that as an opportunity clear up any questions they may have. I returned a van and I didn't complete the process on the app, the staff said he would take care of it. I didn't completely understand what he was going to take car of…. I thought it was just the cleaning portion of the vehicle. So, when I got back to my car and log into the app to complete the return process, it ask me how for the miles on the odometer. I walk back to the van to get the information and the person working said in a annoying demeanor I told you I would take care of it. Seeing that he was annoyed I just said ok and walk away confused. He could have taken the opportunity to explain in polite manner how the app work and how he take care of things for me the clear up any confusion. For this very reason I typically avoid businesses in Detroit because in the manner I am treated for spending my hard earned money. If I need a uhaul service again I will probably seek a more friendly franchise.

The self pickup process is really poor if you are not within the exact time frame scheduled. I was a few minutes late beyond the hour and experienced a great deal of frustration with the website. The site does not produce an error while attempting to pick up late. It rejects the pickup, and says nothing of any value, and does not produce an error message. So, thinking nothing is wrong, I tried different browsers, downloaded the app, and produced no different results. I had to call 2 numbers in order to get the reservation changed to a slightly later time, after messing with it for 45 minutes sitting in the parking lot. My recommendation is to produce VALID ERROR DIALOGUE if there's something unexpected when trying to pick up. COMMUNICATE to the user, instead of sending them back to re-try their attempt with no knowledge of the error or problem. My equipment was also not maintained well. The turn signal in the rear was burned out, causing me issues driving. The TPMS sensor was in an error state, leaving me unaware of any low tire pressure warnings. Not a great state to leave a vehicle.

I had to cancel my storage unit because I physically couldn't climb those stairs. There need to be an elevator in this facility which would make it easier to move in and out. I called UHaul main number explained my situation she sent email to the manager about a ground level unit. No response or call from manager even after I emailed him about a ground level unit. I have since found another storage unit at a different facility with an elevator which met all of my needs.

I am very disappointed with the manager and I think he could have handled the situation better. I reserved a storage unit and put a card on file a month ago, I packed my truck up and went to move in and there was no unit reserved for me, but they had all my info saved in there system. I spoke with management and he had no solution to accommodate me and I ended up having to spend a extra $150 for there negligence

I wish I had the choice but to bet a heated storage. It was 92 outside and 90 degrees inside. I was soaked wet by the time my fiancé and I were done. Not sure why there is need for a heated storage in the summertime.

Lots of upgrade at the location since my last visit there! I was in storage for approximately 8 or 9 years at the Livernois Loc and coming back this year for a storage room I was lost at first: the upgrades to the Bldg is awesome!

The staff who I first got the uhaul storage unit was AMAZING! The check out staff particularly the Caucasian man was rude, not helpful and combative instead of assisting when the gates and doors wouldn't open with my key! He just kept saying I was doing it wrong which I wasn't and that he has a work order in.. It was 93 degrees outside and I kept having to go back and forth to the office to get into my storage unit…

Staff went above and beyond in conflict resolution and made sure my experience was less stressful as humanly possible. Even with mix ups from corporate the 7 mile staff stepped in with accountability and not only fixed the issues but also assured me as a consumer. Quality customer care is hard to come by which is why I only deal with this particular location. The staff are welcoming and upbeat , the facility is always spotless and theres never a problem that isn't fairly Negotiated !

During peak hours, the waiting time for assistance can be extraordinarily long, and all team members may not be trained or empowered to handle all transactions. This was actually my 2nd trip. I had come in the day before to pay my storage bill and reserve an additional storage unit, waited in line for 30 minutes, only to be told I'd have to return the following day because the team member was not able to service self-storage account matters.

Your whole customer service department are non informative people. My reservation was wrong It cost me milage which i should have been reimbursed for by your company because of your employee screw up.

Water was in my storage room, still do not know where and how it got in. It got on a few of my clothes, no big damage just had to wash them. Lorenzo, did not contact me. But, eveeything else was cool.

Regardless to the clean facility the Manager Lorenzo is AWFUL ! Because of his arrogance and rudeness I would never recommend that Uhaul location for any reason.

The facility has roaches!! I saw them coming out of units as I moved my things out. I have never had roaches in any of my homes over the last 20 years if they show up in the next few weeks
