When i arrived to return the trailer, i asked the lone attendant to assist me in parking it i to a spot. He told me he was supposed to get off work several hours ago and he was leaving. I asked him"so you are not going to help me?" To which he replied, "Nope" and walked away.John P.
I reserved my truck with mobile pick up .. came to pick up and the app would not work... tried 3 different search engines. Finally got it to partially work and went out to get my truck . The furniture pads I ordered were not in the truck, I went back in and the line was still 5 -6 people deep with 1 worker who says she's get with me soon. She gets the pads and I go get I my truck. She comes out and said I'm not finished checking in. After age assessed the situation, the truck had not been checked back into u haul store and that's why my app didn't work . She then tells me it's theft if I take the truck . She then tells me she has to take care of the people inside in line.... I tell her I was in line before them and had to insist she finish my check in first. It was a terrible experience, long line, equipment not ready , check in a nightmare . I was late for my movers . It was absolutely ridiculous...MELANIE J.
Horrible customer service. Waited forever to pickup truck and auto transport. Asked for assistance to load car onto transport. Told a "separate 40 $cash charge". I found out that was not the case. Did not load my utility or furniture dolly and charged for it. Then I had order 100 pads, told not available. Gave me what they had and forgot to load them onto truck. Went back to pick up and 1/2 were stolen. Tremell Johnson said he would credit back and did note. He was also rep that took 40 $cash to load auto transport. Avoid this location.....rip off!! I was suppose to pick up the truck at 11:00 and there was only one clerk working. I didn't actually drive away with the truck until 12:30 and they didn't change the time I drove off the lot so it was still showing 11:00 on my ticket I was suppose to have the truck for 3 hours starting from 12:30 and I have been charged double. I'm so extremely disappointed with my experience at Uhaul that I won't be using them again. I reserved a truck at a location close to me only for Uhaul to change the pickup and drop off location the day before. This created an inconvenience for me and added miles that I had to pay for! When I arrived at my pick up time, there were no trucks available. I had to wait 30 minutes for a truck. Meanwhile my movers were waiting on me. They were understaffed and overbooked trucks that they did not have in stock. The representative that worked with me at checkout had the worst attitude in the world. She had no respect and she was rude from the start. Truck reserved was not available at location I was told to go to. General Manager gave me another truck at a lower price, but then charged me for the original (more expensive) truck. Will probably use Penske or Budget next time.David D.

The 17footrer we used was lefrbon less than 1/4tank full when we were told it was on 1/2 tank but I did tell my hubby he should have said something before we left your lot otherwise the experience was excellent.SHARON F.

You have a ton of useless people that work there that do not do one thing to assist the man up front. He had 6 customers in line and they all stood looking around with the added bonus of spewing their political/rednecked views while we all stood 6 feet apart having to listen to it all. The parking lot became so jammed it was dangerous. The folks that were in the backfield the building were useless as well. The Trailer was extremely high quality and smooth best option out there. Nothing to do with the location itself, but the contact free service was piss poor. I sat in my car next to the truck I was renting for almost 3 minutes just to cancel the chat with my rep to go inside the location to finish booking. I sent countless pictures to a person I've never met and it took her 5 minutes to respond to me. It was so counterproductive but it's â€œencouraged â€œ by uhaul. The online experience was clunky and didn't work in some instances. The app would say to take pictures to update the reference image, but the pictures wouldn't upload after taking. Also, the GPS feature would not work through the browser, but did in the app. The truck I used was in rough shape. Bumpiest ride I've had in a Uhaul.Brad H.

Everything concerning the rental experience and the function of the truck we rented was acceptable. The only concern for us was that the truck interior had not been cleaned or sanitized. There was refuse under the seats and dirt and debris covering all of the surface inside and on the floor of the cab. The box was broom clean. I would not have been happy with the cleanliness of the cab in a normal era, with the pandemic I feel this was a serious and possibly dangerous issue. What can you do? fulfill your own promises to provide clean and safe equipment.MICHAEL RAYMOND L.

Not default or rely as much on rolling your phone calls to outside call center. Wait times online (chat) and by phone are not brief, as they took over 15-20 minutes to get a response, only to find out they aren't able to do outbound calls to locations where you've rented to get the assistance they and you needed. Answer the phones locally, or staff more to help with business levels, as this is not a new company without having data and forecasting to know what to anticipate with respects to projected rentals and customer service,LISA O.

I made a reservation this morning to pick up an Auto Trailer from store located at 4612 Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY 40213. I received a confirmation number via email stating I could pick one up there at 12pm. Once I reached the location after a 2-1/2hr drive from the Nashville, TN area, I discovered that while they had one trailer, it was already promised to a different customer. I was then directed to go to 331 E Oak St in Louisville to get an AT there. This location turned out to be a small little market in a very bad part of the city. After checking in there and having my driver's license scanned in, the shopkeeper realized he didn't have what I needed at that location either. He gave me a number for Uhaul corporate to call, and then was done with the situation. I tried calling the number and was unable to reach anyone (1-800-628-1314). I returned to the first location to get better assistance (after already being very far behind schedule due to this incident), and after they called over, I was sent to 4128 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40218 where I was finally able to get the trailer (AT4711Y) I needed. I found this whole debacle to be very unprofessional and an utter waste of time that I couldn't afford to lose. It put me very far behind schedule, and there was no attempt to rectify the situation. This is only days after I have had issues with contract number 88111232. I rented a box truck (DC2351W) from 1515 Gallatin Pike N, Madison, TN 37115 on the 6th of Feb for an overnight use going to Louisville, KY to be returned the next day to the same location. Since the building is still under construction, the customer entrance was not clearly marked. After finding it, I noticed there was an individual sitting in a Uhaul pickup truck outside the entrance. I walked inside the store to find a computer terminal set up on a makeshift desk with no associate in sight. After calling out several times and not receiving a response, I walked back outside to the individual in the truck who turned out to be the associate sleeping in the cab. I finally got the truck I needed, and went on my way. After doing what I needed with the truck, I returned it to the same store with the same associate at approximately 1100am. I put the keys in his hand and he told me I was good to go, and would receive a confirmation email once he had it checked in. Today (10Feb2021), after turning in the AT I rented to the store located at 208 W Main St, Hendersonville, TN 37075. After turning in the trailer, I had the associate there check on the box truck contract, only to find out that the vehicle was still "dispatched" and had not been processed in yet. I now have to return to the Hendersonville store at 1100 tomorrow morning, furthering disrupting my schedule.KEITH G.

The storage unit was broken into and approximately 3 000 $was stolen. Supposedly the camera was blocked from identifying the those involved, camera tapes would identify who was moving at the time of the break-in. Very disappointed that our items were not safe. I feel it was an inside job, how many people carry lock cutters when they are moving. Definitely not a safe and secure storage unit to trust personal items.Linda W.

I checked in on the app, only to find that when I got to the counter the truck the app told me I was using had just been given to someone else. But I got a bigger truck for the same cost because of it, so no biggie. I returned my truck with the app also. It told me to check that I'd filled up the tank, a couple other things, and asked me to drop the keys in the keys return and then press continue. So I did all that, and *after I no longer had the keys and I had locked the truck* the app asked me to take pictures of the odometer and other things I no longer had access to. Also the key return box at this location is back behind a fence with an "employees only" sign on it, and on the *opposite* side of the building where the "key return" stickers are on the walls. There was not a walk around when picking up the truck. The U haul was filthy and "spit" sunflower seeds out the vents when turning on the heat. There was not a walk around when returning the truck. I have not received a receipt for the truck as of yet. I would recommend Uhaul but not sure of this location.CARRIE L.

The biggest problem at this location is staffing. They always seem to be understaffed. In this case, it took nearly an hour to pick up a reserved trailer rental. Yes, it was Friday evening, and yes, they were busy, but there was ONE person tending the counter, and he left for 10-15 minutes while I (and others) stood there. From past experience, this is fairly typical--it's taken 20 minutes to get propane before, because they had no one who could either pump it, or check me out in a timely fashion.RICHARD B.
My issue is not w/ the Bardstown location, they were great, my issue is with my original location that I booked the reservation with, the Bluegrass Pkwy "You Store It" location, they accepted my reservation and didn't have the equipment that I needed, as well as the lady that was running the storage place was very rude!!!RICHARD J.
I requested a 10 ft truck and while I'm happy there was still anything at all to use, I almost couldnt climb up in it. When I tried to ask a question they answered as though I already knew. I'm 64, never did that before and could have used an explanation. Also pointing to my rental wasnt helpful since I didnt have the requested size. I literally walked around trying different locks before going back inside to ask again. And the clerk practically yelling at me in front of everyone in there didnt improve my experience.KATHY D.

The poor guy behind the desk was the only one on duty at that location. He did the best he could but was clearly overworked. There needs to be at least two attendants on location. My order was not right. I reserved a towing rig for my riding lawnmower. They instead gave me a rig for a car, which the lawnmower wouldn't have fit. I called the morning of the appointment to say I would be late due to car trouble. The woman I spoke with never did anything about it and my order was canceled when I didn't show up at the appointment time.JANICEMULLINS B.

Every time I went in to make a payment on my storage unit, I waited at least 30 minutes to an hour every time. I waited so long once that the person behind the counter promised he would credit my account 25 $. But then he had "computer issues" and said that he would credit my card the next day. That credit never came. I mentioned it to someone the next month, and they said they would take care of it, but they didn't. I gave up trying to get it back.
