When I rented the storage through your app, there was nothing that indicated it was upstairs. I changed it to 4 units on the main floor. Found out one of the 4 was already rented, had to get that one changed. They were unable to refund the $269 I spent on the first unit on the 2nd floor that I was unable to use. I would not attempt to rent anything through your app again.

The original van that I was given was not adequate for a 2000-mile trip. I requested a change to a newer van with better tires and this change was granted. The newer van drove very well and we made the 2000-mile round trip easily. The pads and furniture dolly worked out great.

Verify customer has all rented equipment in vehicle. Rented utility dolly which was not in vehicle. Called location to inform dolly was not in truck. Associate was very professional and apologetic. Rental charge was removed.

Cargo van: 2 mechanical issues noted. Tire pressure sensors out of service. Check tire pressure- Satisfactory despite warning light and sensors indicating 0 pressure. Driving noted vibration & shimmy starting ~ 63 mph getting progressively worse with increasing speed (speed limit 70 mph). So was forced to limit speed to ~10 mph under limit. Pulled over by state police and had to explain why I was driving as such. 430 mile trip, >50 % w/ hazard light on.

I have had many experiences over the past 6 months to work with this team and they are always excellent. Very courteous and efficient. There seems to be some turnover in staff at this location and I notice that the new guys are generally not familiar with the process. But the senior guys always are there to help out, so all is good.

U-Haul in general needs to make fuel usage estimation more readily available/visible at the wheel and fuel tank so customers do not get ripped off by overfilling a tank and not getting any reimbursement. This location itself is above average.

The truck that I rented drove like hot garbage. I indicated that I wanted to return the truck to a different location, in Springfield, on the initial reservation, but when I picked up the truck I was told there would be a fee to do that, so I had to drive clear across town ($0,89/mile) to return the truck to the same location. I received a free month of storage unit rent via a promotion they are running, I opted to use the Stevenson drive location to rent a unit from. The units are run down with crap falling down from the ceiling, getting on all of my items, there was a lock on my reserved unit (they had to come take it off while I waited at the unit), and after they got the lock off I had to use a hammer to unlatch the unit because the latch was seized. Overall, I will not be using uhaul for storage needs after the free month, and I will only rent a truck from them if it is absolutely necessary. The bruns lane location has pleasant staff, but they may need more members on site to speed along the check in check out process. When I dropped the truck back off, I stood inside and waited for 10 minutes before I even saw an employee (I believe he was out checking in a different customers rental), the last thing I want to do after moving all day is stand around and wait to go home.
The truck we reserved had a dead battery so we had to take the larger vehicle which was way too big and hard to manage. No real effort was made to find us a smaller truck. When we returned the truck to the location based on our reservation they told us they didn't have room for the truck and we needed to take it somewhere else. We refused. Just bad service all together.

I was told the location half a mile from my sister in law, where i stayed, didn't have the equipment I asked for. I had to drive across town yet when I returned to her home I saw the location near her house had at least 15 of the trucks I requested and trailers behind the building.The truck I was given had a check engine light on!!! I was told it was no problem and to call if we broke down. They said they had one other truck which was older, in worse shape and had no gas in it. My truck had the passenger door lock torn out, the inside of the windshield was really dirty, and the truck had surging issues for all 800 miles of the trip. I heard horror stories of locations just trying to get rid of junk trucks on one way rentals. Now i know they are true.

The building itself was well kept but the fact the truck seats were wet and clothes got wet not pleased at all. Let the staff know and got oh ok they shouldn't be wet nothing refunded or discounted so I will not use in the future and will not suggest to friends. As I used it for less than an hour to only end up with wet dirty clothes trying to move a sofa and paid $40 not happy.

I received a free month when I rented a truck. I signed up online which was easy. Only issue I had was I could not see easily what building my unit was in. But it was clearly marked with phone number for manager. He answered right away and walked me through the process and let me know which building I was in. It was super easy. Unit and building was clean. Great experience

I rented several trucks in a 3 month period as well as 3 storage units. I just want customers to be aware that even when u put fuel back in truck u will still be charged for fuel. Even if u empty storage unit u will be charged for empty unit and get late charge. When u get a truck ensure u are being charged correctly. I experienced all 3 of these issues. Didn't get charge back for fuel. Had to let them know they overcharged me to get that money back. Had to leave work and drive to location because they never answer phone to get 200+ dollar charge removed for empty storage unit. Hate to think uhaul is shady but after all the money I spent at this location I can't believe they tried to beat me on 3 separate occasions. Note to consumers. Take pictures of truck fuel and empty storage unit. These people are horrible for stealing from people especially the way the economy is. I work hard for my money and really don't appreciate a company trying to steal it from me. Had I not had the 1st incident with empty storage locker I wouldn't have caught the fuel charge or the overcharge. Customers beware. They won't correct it and act like u did something wrong. Consumers please protect yourselves and your money

Very satisfied overall. In the winter the required disc locks can freeze up inside due to rain getting inside. The desk staff needs to know how to help and have anti freeze/ methods available. I have a remaining unit. I appreciate the loyalty discounts for paying 12 months at a time. Merci

The staff was friendly and somewhat helpful. But they shouldve shown me the storage unit and how to use it in person ... versus trying to explain it to me from the main office. Also, there is garbage laying around and a dead baby frog by the entrance of Building I. Plus the inside (near the door) is messy. Also, the intercom at the storage entrance isnt working. Therefore, I had to return to the main office when I had difficulty entering the storage building. But once again, the staff who helped me were friendly.

The three main reasons I chose to store my RV at this facility were the security, having a roof over each space and electricity being available to charge the RV battery. I rented this space for 14 months and for most of that time the electric would not work. The GFCI outlet would trip anytime I tried to plug into it. I complained to the local office staff and corporate, but it was never repaired. My RV was brand new (2021) when I started storing it there and never had any problems with my RV tripping other GFCI outlets, so it wasn't my RV causing the problem. I was actually told by another customer that it had always been that way. It was a nice facility other than I may have to replace my battery now since it's been dead for so long.

I would never recommend anyone use this Uhaul location. I have always promoted uhaul for their professionalism and how well the customer service there is BUT not at this location. The manager was completely rude and was a complete jerk to say the least. If this is how the manager acts, well he's setting a horrible example for his employees and is making the Uhaul brand look extremely bad. When I asked who his boss was he literally told me that they won't care and won't want to speak to me. I am totally appalled by how the manager spoke to me and treated me In front of his employees and other customers. I will tell everyone I know and meet to NEVER use this location and maybe not even recommend uhaul at all anymore.

I rented a unit and when I realized it was in the second floor I immediately called to have it switched to ground level. I was put on hold for 30 minuits. At which time I gave up and hung up the phone. I went in to the facility. I asked several. Times if I was going to be charged the first unit and the second unit I wanted to switch to. I was assured I wouldn't be since I had never even gone to that first unit. Today I see I have been charged for both. I need someone to contact me asap to get this resolved!

I had one of the inside heated storages. There wasn't any light inside the storage unit. And while moving my stuff out of the storage. We killed 3 roaches in the unit. And had to kill one at my home.

One thing, we received letters stating we have not paid after the fact. We called Sunday evening and the person did not put it through. They locked us out. We had to make payment to get unlocked the next day. Yesterday, October 26, 2021 stating we had not paid. We did. We took everything out on October 25. So we get a 14 day credit?

I was placed on the do not rent to list. This happened because an employee rold me and my mover not to leave anything on the teuck as he watxhed us tey to dowpose of our trash in an overflowing dumpster. The employee never said if its full dont use. I go in to pick up the teuxk last saturdayvafter resercingbit and the manager was very rude and brash while talking to me about the truxk. The manager pnly wanting ro hear himaelf talking an n one else.

The email did not tell us the location of the building that we had...the buildings are marked with letters and we did not have a letter in our email nor did the buildings have the locker #s that were available inside of that particular building. We had to go inside and wait to speak to someone..he was very helpful but we would not have been able to figure it out if the facility was not open for business. The gentleman that helped us was spectacular and went above and beyond to help us. The online portion needs updated for more clear information for the renters.

The overall experience was excellent. Facility clean, grounds clean. Very easy 24 hr access. All interactions with personnel were good experiences. Everyone was pleasant, helpful and informed. There was one incident that was out of the control of the local mngmt that took a while to resolve but was eventually settled to our satisfaction and not something that negatively impacted our choice to use or highly recommend this facility. I'm only bringing this up so you know if there would be a problem it will be taken care of. We used this facility for possibly two years or close to it. If the need arises we will definitely use this business again.

Access code didn't work even after checking in at the office. Email from U-Haul did not accurately describe the process for entering the building. Alarm goes off every time storage area is accessed, even when keycard is swiped and accepted and automatic sliding door opens. If I was not in such a hurry to move out, I would find another storage facility, even with the extra work that would entail.

When I first started moving-in to the storage unit the gentleman at the counter seemed confused and maybe new to the company. I called to inquire about my unit and was informed I did not have a unit. I called my mother who still lives in Springfield so she could get the situation straightened out. She called and spoke with the manager , Phillip, who was incredibly kind and empathetic to the situation. He fixed the problem immediately without a hitch! Thank you U-Haul on Bruns Lane and Phillip oh, you guys are the best!

We previously rented three different storage units with U-Haul, in the climate controlled part. They were always very clean and well lit, and we did not have one problem with bugs, mice, or anything. We used U-Boxes when we moved, which were a life saver! This is the latest unit we have rented, but we only needed it for a short time. We have been very happy with U-Haul and always recommend it to our friends.

Excellent storage facility. Very clean and no problem with rodents or insects. In the past we had three units, and just got one for my son to use while he is moving out of State. We also used U-Boxes when we moved last fall. Highly recommend and could not be happier with the prices and service!

The storage facility was well maintained, and the on site staff was great to work with. The billing was wrong almost the entire time we rented from Uhaul. most months they would fail to charge our credit card, then we would get locked out of our storage unit. That is my only complaint about the experience.

The Bruns location needs more help desperately......the staff there were awesome but exhausted trying to keep up with demands. Owen keeps things running AND goes above and beyond at the same time. Please appreciate the people and their representation of the Springfield U-Haul location.

During the pandemic I tried several times to reach someone at the location by phone and email but was unsuccessful. I was able to get ahold of U-Haul but not the direct location that held my storage and was told that I wouldn't be charged any extra fees due to the pandemic and me losing my job. I arrived to pay off my storage and was changed an extra $50 for a lien fee but I was told when I called that I wouldn't have to pay any extra fees and that my storage was never in lien that those messages were automatic. The general manager then gave me his card and said he gets all the emails directly and that I had to pay the fee. That frustrated me even more because I had emailed them several times with no response and I was charged for something I shouldn't have been charged for.

The GM was extremely helpful as I went in to the store several times for boxes and truck rental before my move. The staff member who was working in addition to the GM also helped with the rental unit procedures. I enjoyed working with them. The rental unit building was clean and I feel my items will be secure there.
