I was much less than an hour late, but they charged me an extra day. I had to wait for the one employee outside, who was too busy to help me. I finally went inside and asked one of the 3 employees sitting, doing nothing, if he would help. He was helpful, but didn't inform me I was being DOUBLE CHARGED for being over 15 minutes late. Losing a customer over $45 is short sighted. I'll never rent from that location again.
Bobby BradleyTruck was cleaned but it had tire pressure issues. At the store I requested air as per indicator on dashboard. There was not a sense of urgency. Non fact I felt like I was being an inconvenience to the two ladies. Anyway, I watched as they put air in the tire. It was not enough because by the time I got to storage 31 miles away the tire pressure was only 30 PSi and indicator light was back on. That truck requires 80 PSI. The truck was cleaned but based on my experience I won't return to this location.

The price for the 5x8 it's way different from others and uhal charge for the other. Additional the website and the app wouldn't be able to close the contract and return the trailer, I have to communicate with costumer services. And for complete my weekend I noticed that they didn't close the contract and then charge again for not returning on time. So I go back to the place and they didn't solve the issue, just call costumer services again. Not so happy with all happened

alvertis GilmoreThe associate behind the counter can make or break any shopping experience. The young lady behind the counter was almost whispering. I couldn't hear her. I asked her if She could speak louder and She looked bothered and with an attitude. During our interaction, She kept being distracted by Her phone. There was a tail light in my trailer not blinking. I told her and rolled her eyes and went outside and changed trailers. I had to ask her to update my contract and to text me another inspection questionnaire. She did it but made me feel very uncomfortable. I approached the manager but didn't seem concerned at all. I drove by at least 3 U Haul locations. I went to the Buford location because they used to provide the best service. Not anymore.
EDUARDO GARCIA GUTIERREZPlease make sure the clerk knows what truck is on the lot she told me to go down some steps and find the truck as I attempted to go down the steps. The U-Haul van is blocking the steps went down the steps to where she said the truck was well that truck didn't start because it was not the correct truck then I had problems with the tank showing little less than a quarter of a tank of gas as I cranked it up it almost went exactly on the E empty however, being that I was only going 3 miles down the street that was fine I guess and I returned. It was a total of 6 miles , I immediately returned to the facility, and at that point, since they had my sale, they were not pleasant at all . please make sure that that's what they charge me for the truck March 22,2024.

kyung sub shinThe team members at this location is super helpful, and the equipment has always been available and well maintained. The only issue I had with the trailer was the tire pressure was a little low. It probably would have been fine, but since I would be carrying a car I had to pump the tires up to the recommended pressure for extra confidence. The only other thing to note is this location is difficult to get in and out of. I would recommend a way to get from the office to the storage locations without needing to get out on the extremely busy main road. I personally recommend going early to avoid the traffic.

I wasn't serviced by the same person during pick up and drop off but both representatives were friendly, courteous and professional. Wonderful experience!
Patrice BainHad one person working the desk and 6 people in line. The computer got hung up and the clerk could not fix it. Took me an hour to get the trailer. Had to drive fast in the pouring rain to get it back in time.

Gershom Washington | Expérience généraleDo not go here to get a hitch install ! Utterly incompetent mechanic that took 6 hours total to do a 2 hour job. Thats the least of my worries. Turns out my van door was not closing properly because they misaligned the tail light during the install. The mechanic had to be shown video of the wiring routing to have it come out where it should. Trim pieces were not clipped back together etc. Atleast one member of the front desk was just rude. The place where they do the install is just a shed with a ramp on it, poorly lit. I ran out of there as quickly as i could to complain to uhaul hq.

jakub siwikThe truck was clean but it ran poorly. The transmission was stuck in tow haul move so it was over revving and waiting gas. The steering was super loose and was in need of suspension work. Also information was not given to me about what I could do if there was an issue. We will be leaving a bad yelp review when I get time because the girl at the counter said there was nothing they could do. Next time I'll find another location owned by someone else.

They said they didn't have one then gave me an appliance dolly which ended up costing more than the one I picked which was 7 dollars and not something I could use. They told me to look in the truck and see if there was one in there so I had to walk back and forth down a hill because they were incompetent. Finally they gave me the wrong dolly still and wasn't able to use much. App was horrible and the people working there should be unemployed. Scam

DAVID WELTYPeople nasty, in bad mood. not happy. Not customer service oriented. I had trouble to get through the steps by phone, system which is very bothersome and not friendly where the whole administrative burden is transfer to the customer in a delegation that is too much for the user or customer. And they didn't help me with a nice attitude to get the truck ready and fast. There was a person with a big beard, Jacob, that started getting in a confrontation instead of trying to help me. BROOK MENAOur truck was on Empty, even though the reported fuel level was 1/4 of a tank. I did make note on via the mobile walk around and was given a fuel credit. It would be ideal for trucks to have starting fuel levels of at least 1/4 tank.

Kenneth HallThe door on the trailer seemed to be out of alignment. It was difficult to open and close. The guy who helped me in Buford and I figured out how to open and close it so it wasn't a big deal. He offered to swap it out for a different trailer but I was OK with the door. The bigger issue was that the trailer leaked significantly. The heavier items (sofa, mattress, and box springs) were all in the nose of the trailer and were soaked on the bottom when we unloaded them. I realize that the trailers are "water resistant not water proof" but I felt like this one wasn't even water resistant. The people that helped me at both locations were fantastic! I didn't have to connect or disconnect the trailer which was much appreciated.

Paul ChadwickI booked a reservation 1 week in advance for 20' truck, dolly, utility dolly and furniture blankets. At check in, the dolly was not available and I was asked to travel to a different location to pick one up. The staff was helpful to resolve the issue. Upon return, the location was closed and I had to use mobile app. At step 5 of the process (taking pictures), the app kept refreshing in a loop and was forced to repeat the step multiple times until I gave up and called the service center. The agent was able to confirm that my return was completed. The process took much longer than reasonable expected.
Randolph RoweI had initially reserved a U-Haul, but received a call informing me that my truck was unavailable and I needed to pick up from a different location. Despite completing the mobile check-in process, including uploading my driver's license beforehand, I was required to go through the entire process again upon arrival, and the reservation time displayed was incorrect. Additionally, the truck had a persistent "service engine" alert, complicating the reading of the odometer. The truck's mirrors were also difficult to adjust, and the absence of a ramp made loading and unloading furniture particularly challenging. Overall, this series of issues made my first experience with U-Haul exceedingly frustrating and inconvenient.

Please let people know ahead of time that they will need two emergency contacts who will be called on the spot BEFORE you can get the keys and rent the truck. This should have been disclosed because like many, my emergency contacts work during the day and are not always available answer their phones. With my license, credit card and other information not sure why two contacts are needed.

The spaces between the storage buildings are pretty narrow, and it's all made worse by the fact that the Uhaul team has unrented trucks and trailers just kind of randomly sprinkled around inside the storage area. If I didn't have someone with me to help me back up and turn the truck around, I almost guarantee I would have hit something. Also, the inside of my storage unit had not been opened for a month, but had somehow accumulated tons of dust and leaves on top of all my stuff. I will not be using or recommending this location in the future, unfortunately.

Also it is always packed with u haul trucks and it's hard to fit down the area to get to your storage unit and even then one of the trucks was blocking my unit one day! Very nice staff but in a horrible place!!

They told me yeah but when i went to get my things out there was no green tag luckily nothing was missing.

My items became filthy. This coupled with rent increases, made the decision very easy to leave and move on. Lastly, the access to get in and out of the facility makes it very difficult when trying to depart. The location of the the key pad to open gate is not positioned well with me having to exit my vehicle each time i wanted to leave. I have been contacted so many times by text (hourly) that I had to report those texts as junk.

Our experience has been one largely comprised of rudeness and a general unwillingness to help. Add to that the above mentioned spam messages, a burned out light in the unit that no one seems to care about, our reservation being messed up 5 different times, and being charged for a climate controlled unit when we were given one that was not ... This has been the single most stressful part of our move. Bar none.

I was finally able to get in which is all that matters at this point. The storage facility was clean.

I moved contents inside to avoid leaks and a leak would occur elsewhere after your staff would attempt repairs. It has ruined many an item. I have had no choice over the years to keep renting the unit as I've had problems restabilizing after divorce and recently with COVID and major heart surgery. AND NOW Y'ALL ARE JACKING UP THE PRICE WELL BEYOND INFLATIONARY RATES AND TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE GROWTH OF THE RESIDENTIAL INSTABILITY OF RECENT TIMES AS WELL AS OTHER SOCIETAL SHIFTS. (I'm sure your stockholders are well pleased with increased earnings!) I had to retire well before I planned due to health and now on fixed income. I am for now living in a personal care home since my 2 1/2 month heart surgery plus complications stay in the hospital. My long history of continued renting of the unit was never planned this long and except for family mementos, pictures and minor heirlooms, the contents are probably not worth the rent paid over these many years.

Pamela Wymbs | Expérience généraleUpon arriving I was greeted well but my experience quickly began to trickle downhill from there. I was already frustrated with Uhaul because a previous location that I had made reservations with informed me that they did not have any available units to which I would spend the next 25 minutes on the phone with a customer service representative trying to locate a Uhaul self storage and equipment return location. I had never been to a Uhaul self-service storage facility before and the initial representative was anything but helpful. He did his best but when I informed him that I had a reservation for a storage unit he looked at me like I had lost my mind! He didn't even ask for my reservation number. I had never done anything like this before so his responses to me seemed to come off as very uncourteous, unprofessional, and just plain lazy. He hadn't even started listening to my own needs fully before he started helping another guest! I was appaled! My needs were not being met and my frustrations continued to mount. Then when we were finally making headway I was told that I was going to be charged for my unit, to which I had issues because when I had made my reservations online I was guaranteed one month of free storage for a 5x5 unit at $69 per month at Oakwood. So at that point that was already three strikes for Uhaul. I was livid! Shortly thereafter another CSR came to assist to try provide me with some greater assistance. I wanted this location to honor my original agreement that I made with Uhaul when I made the reservation the week prior and it just seemed like it wasn't going to happen. Initially, the lady that had begun assisting me wasn't making mich better progress, and finally after a few minutes of actually listening to me she got on the phone to begin providing me with some reprieve. Finally, after about 30 minutes, a resolution came, and I was my original agreement was honored. While in the end my needs were met and the last lady that helped me finally got me taken care of, I shouldn't have had to go through all of those frustrations, not just once, but three times, and after a period of about 30 minutes, before my needs were finally met, it should have only taken 5, maybe 10 minutes, tops! I am not impressed with the level of professionalism and quality of associates that are employed at this location and would encourage the manager to consider hiring much more professional and courteous people that actually take the time to listen to customers instead of being lazy in getting customers taken care of. Had it not been for the last CSR taking care of me I would have rated only one star. I would hope that in the future that these kinds of situations can be avoided so other guests do not experience the same level of frustration as I have.

Karen Petersen | Online Move InFirst, let me say thanks to Danielle Hall. She worked with me in May of 2020. By extending the time allowed to get here from Idaho Falls, Idaho. In the 6x12 tailor. 2nd, when I moved from the 10 x 10 to the 10 x 15 unit. She made the process easy. Then, when I went to work at U-haul at the Buford Drive & Mall of Georgia locations. Danielle was my boss and learning from her was easy and enjoyable. After I left the company but still had the storage unit. Danielle was still nice and friendly as expected. Danielle Hall is a huge asset to your company. While the facility is secure. More lights should be installed. Especially for those like myself. Who tend to work later in the night or early in the morning in the storage I do feel the access should be 24 hours to the storage. Krista Karr | Premières impressions1. What was to be perceived as dead vermin (rodents) upon entering the main storage facility- not the unit itself. 2. Bait box top seemed to be off and not connected to the unit. 3. Rat poison was chewed up into literally really fine pieces along the back wall outside of the bait box. 4. Staff put a lock on my unit. This unit was paid up $450 through July 2022. Therefore, this was not a matter of non-payment; instead, I did not put a lock on my unit. Moreover, I understand the lock was put on for safety. However, staff did not give me a courtesy call resulting in me having to go buy a lock cutter to remove the lock. The cutters cost me $40 and my movers charged me over time in the amount of $100.00. 5. Storage facility is 20 +/- years old and needs a face lift to possibly a remodel. 6. Danielle-General Manager was great. Other staff over the phone was horrible and had poor verbal customer service skills to customer when they became uncomfortable. This is a coaching opportunity.

When I first got unit, we didn't even get a " map" to where the unit was located, we drove around all the traffic there , tried calling several times with no answer, then we had to go get one, which it took a Long time! Then I was Locked out of unit without a notice!!! Tried to charge me late charge seven I had asked to be it on direct withdrawals, but was not done! That's how good they listened. Yesterday I emptied unit( 2 days- after payment, and was told that I don't get any money back???? Why???????

Diana LOFTON | Premières impressionsThere was one lady and man that worked close to closing time which I felt that when I came in late they laughed in my face when I asked them to please move the truck from in front of my storage unit so I could unload and they didn't understand why I wouldn't carry my items an extra 20ft to get to my storage. Also I turned over possession of my storage unit 2 weeks before my bill was due and they wouldn't give me a pro rate or money back which is not fair considering I didn't use the storage unit for a full month. Also there were roaches in my storage unit on my belongings when I moved them out and I was highly upset. Needless to say I will not be using uhaul ever again. This was a nightmare of an experience and I am not pleased, also I will tell my family and friends about my experience and to not use uhaul. Merci.
JAMES SHINAULT | Expérience généraleWithing 1 week got my unit got robbed lost more than 4,000$ from a person who was living in unit 0414 who aperanly doesn't supposed to be there with drugs the thieves are very profesional open the locks not very safely place as soon my situation happens they start doing rounds and security otherwise they would not doing it. Very very bad place I will not recommend this place to Nobody get a cubesmart unit is a lot more secure and are more safe for your stuff . Get out of there !!!!!!

Ronald Martinez | Expérience généraleThe place was busy when we arrived, we were a little stressed ourselves, taking that into consideration the clerk who helped us, didn't have focus on us, when I asked how big the unit was instead of showing us, he gestured to the area and was texting on his phone. Then he finished our transaction, did not offer to show us where the unit was, so after searching in our own we tried calling, no one answered. So we had to drive back up to find the info on where it was located. Then we realized what he meant by inside (again wasn't explained) so again we drove back up to upgrade to a larger unit. At that time a young nice gentleman explained he did truck rentals and couldn't assist me but would get the other gentleman who was outside on his phone (again). After a few minutes passed, the two gentleman came in and the one on the phone was very agitated and using foul language to either the other guy or the phone couldn't tell. The nicer of the two kept apologizing and the phone guy continued his call while he sat down, very agitated.. I tried to diffuse and also let him know we too had a stressful day so he could maybe get back to servicing the guests? Again no visual on map, no explanation just upgrade and done. I would want to know if I was the owner or manager of this uhaul about the poor customer service. I would also not like to see the gentleman fired as he did do his job just poorly and maybe with training and no personal calls this could be fixed.

I tried 3 different times and was not as to drive in because the roads throughout the property were blocked with your trucks every time..this was a complete waste of my money. I had no access to my unit. When I complied all I got was " I'm sorry" TOTAL RIP OFF
