The truck I was supposed to get at a different location was not available it had not come in yet The employee is it Burnett at location Were very helpful By letting me get one of their trucks. When using the APP to find my closest Uhaul drop off it only offered places in North Austin. Repeatedly punching in 78745 never gave an option to leave it at IH 35 & Slaughter Lane - a big UHaul center. Ended up driving 1/2 hour north to drop off because of this.John N.

The unit had just been vacated so he went out there and made sure it was clean and ready for me to use. The person at the counter ignored me for 20 minutes when I went to check in my tailer. I finally got pushy and asked if he could help me and he said he'd be right with me. I then asked if I had to do or sign anything to check in the trailer, and he said NO and that I was good to go... so I was standing there waiting for help for 20 minutes when if he had just been available to answer a simple question, I would not have had to wait. I always get top service at Burnett & 183 location. I had a pleasant experience when notifying of need to extend a rental. The young lady was kind and courteous and respectful. She was not invasive. She completed the call in a very short time, and ask if I was in need of other assistance. She was in a Call Center in Washington. I offered to give a positive escalation, but she declined. Particular rep that I worked with was rude and cocky. He approached our interaction with an immediate mistrust and assumption that I was "rather sketchy" due to my speech impediment. His handling of the situation and lack of empathy only made the situation worse. Additionally, the unit rented had no internal rails, which compared to previously rented U-Haul units, made securing items difficult.Samuel W.

Our move-in experience was very positive. Everything was as advertised so there were no surprises. We realized the unit we had selected on the 2nd floor was too small, but Norvell quickly switched us to a larger unit. Then Norvell and Patrick went the extra mile and helped us move the larger items from our 2nd floor unit down to our larger first floor rental. They were very kind and helpful. I guess nothing wrong with the location but Uhaul is horrible. Per my CONTRACT, I was to drop off at one location. I went there only to have the scan code not work and realize that Uhaul had changed my drop off location without notifying me... Steering wheel was shaky the whole way, tiring me out. The front tire was bouncing up and down causing shaking even at speeds of 30 MPH. Unable to go over 65 MPH as vibrations were shaking my arms too much and even making my eyeballs vibrate. Leaked fluid out of back axle all over the street in front of my new house leaving puddles of oil that could be smelled every time I went outside for over a week. Advertised as the "smoothest ride" yet it was the roughest ride of any vehicle I have ever driven. Would not recommend Uhaul after this experience.Robert C.

Fix your trucks. The whole lining from the inside was falling off and had to be held up with the visors, the radio didn't work, had to ask for my dolly even though I reserved it online, WORST OF ALLâ€¦the steering wheel literally shook back and forth so violently, I had to grip it firmly so it wouldn't drive sideways. The on-line 24/7 pickup did not work at when I called customer service Friday night I waited on hold 45 minutes before giving up. Wonderful folks at this UHaul. I live close by and they have always been great to work with. While I did not use this on this service, their propane service is the only (and best) around. The process was confusing and the staff gave me different information than had been provided by the website. I had made a reservation for a specific unit but when I arrived they said they did not have any of that unit available. Thankfully I was able to get a suitable replacement on site, but my reservation was completely useless and made the process confusing. Also the cashier said that locks weren't provided so I bought one, but then one was in my unit when I opened it. Also I had asked about if I need to give a notice before I intend to vacate and they said I didn't, but then a sign inside the unit said I did need to do that. I was told I would qualify for a free month over the phone with a U-Haul employee and I made sure to call and make a reservation to make sure I qualified. When i actually tried to move in my reservation was nowhere to be found and said there was a stipulation for moving from out of town- this was not stated in the advertisement and on the page that said all you had to do was rent a truck so the experience was very frustrating and inconvenient, since I planned my whole move around this. Had to rent van for another day, un expected expense, because the access hours at the facility were not clearly communicated. I spoke to management and staff about this, they seemed indifferent and the same lack of communication is most likely going to repeat itself again and again, costing customers time and money.
