Rude customer service person who like not to work. I rented 5x9 open trailer that had 8-12 inches of snow in it. When I asked won't you clean it? The answer was No. Nevertheless I need to rent the trailer and had to shovel all of it myself. I took the picture hoping to share but this review doesn't allow to upload. It is strange Uhaul expects customers to clean the equipment but they themselves don't care. Also the place / site can benefit from scheduling snow removal on the property.

very rude customer service didn't give me the right hitch wires are falling down off my hitch because they didn't attach them correctly, and wouldn't fix the problem going to go to another store to see if they will fix the problem. on top of that didn't give me my paper work back. really need to have this problem solved hopefully from another store. very unhappy on the way i was treated at the 28th st. store.

Have the vehicle prepared for use. Full gas tank, not sandwiched between two other vehicles, and not in tow/haul mode unknownst to the customer.
The rental agent I worked with was very friendly and went over everything thoroughly. I was very impressed.
I've literally rented dozens of vehicles from other companies and many in the winter in the past. Every time I rent one, the sales associate comes out with you, and goes around the vehicle rather than me taking pictures of anything that's disputable on the vehicle. The vehicle is always warm and running. The sales associate told me to go to row A, and nothing was marked. I had to walk all over the lot to find my vehicle. I had to shovel off all the snow and take the sign out of the window and warm it up myself. This took half an hour out of my rental time. And the person working at the desk was unfriendly. Felt like I was inconveniencing her from the second I arrived.
We have rented vehicles several times recently. The last few times the vehicles were covered in snow and the windshield had to be scraped. This feels like incredibly bad customer service. The rental was scheduled far enough in advance and we are paying enough for this to be done. U haul used to do this. Why can't it be done anymore?
Keep in the vehicles updated and maintenance
The check out process was easy. The General Manager KaZya Murphy provided amazing service, was very quick and efficient. I will be recommending this location to everyone I know who needs to move. Jeffery Walker was quick and helpful during the check in process. From start to finish everyone I dealt with was pleasant and knowledgeable about the rental process. By far my favorite uhaul location!
Maybe be available/present/ even know a customer is in your store. upon customer scheduled arrival. I waited almost 25 min just to see someone who worked here.

Online check in is unnecessary if I have to do same things when I go to pick up Location. I'd already given credit card & drivers license numbers, truck protection etc online and Then had to do it all again at the location. Saves zero time! If you were trying to streamline the process you need to choose one or the other.
The staff is extremely helpful and get to work with. I enjoy working with them.

Kazya Murphy was very rude and defensive when I told her that Jeffery Walker calculate my mileage and fuel gauge wrong. They did not want to correct the situation and Kazya yelled at my wife and I when I file a complaint. Thankfully another employee step in to resolve the situation. Kazya Murphy and Jeffrey Walker made the experience horrible for me. They were unwilling to rectify the situation, and making the situation worse. I would not recommend my situation be handle by these 2 employee.
I reserved for the online pickup which was anticipated to be faster for picking up the truck. I had to wait for approximately 45 minutes to get “approved†to take the truck. Several people came and went as walk in customers while I was still waiting. I would never recommend the online option to anyone unless they were having to pick up after hours. I was not impressed with the pick up process and may reconsider my options the next time I need to rent a truck.
Nothing. Great service. Very helpful. I initially had used the U-Haul app and couldn't find truck that I was renting and staff immediately resolved.

The people there were rude, when we tried to complain about the smell of the truck they told us not their problem. I don't think we will ever use uhaul again, the experience was poor

Waiting for the person to move the morning arrivals around, probably about 10 minutes. She was the only one working by herself. Other than that experience was good.
The guy that hooked up the trailer was rude. I don't have alot to say about him.

The online process didn't seem to help at all. None of the details of the order were entered and the check in process had been completed.
Moving often does not go as planned. It is upsetting to have to pay for a whole day if you are late especially if no one else is waiting on the rental
The customer is Horrible!! In addition to standing in line for 45 minutes.
Van was left with a beverage can rolling around in the back. It smelled like greasy fast food. And there were 2 cracks in the windshield that I couldn't see until morning. Also the attendant didn't know how the mobile check in worked. I am glad I went early and didn't do it. The set Check boxes aren't well displayed or well lit especially at night.

Front desk clerk at location wasn't very enthusiastic. Gave me the key to a vehicle that was parked nose-to-nose with two other vehicles. It took me a couple of minutes to maneuver out.
Drop off took about 5 minutes. Painless.

Bought the accident insurance. Did $38 damage which was to replace a $1 glass mirror. Was not advised that the insurance had $150 deductible.
I have used this site several times and the service has always been fast and efficient.
Arrived at the store around my pickup Time and no one was in the store for about 5 minutes. Walked around outside and didn't see anyone. Went back inside before going outside again and seeing the employee in the back parking lot. I was able to get her attention and she was not happy to walk back in to wait on me. We completed the checkout and she informed me the truck didn't have the moving blankets so stop up front on my way out. As I pulled the truck up front she opened the garage door, dumped them in the parking lot and went back inside without saying or doing anything. I have used uhaul many times and would probably use them again in the future but the customer service was really bad compared to my previous times. I felt that I was a real inconvenience to the employee for trying to rent equipment. For reference I had rented a trailer at another Grand Rapids location the week before and it was a good experience.
Originally this was not the place we reserved the trailer, but upon arrival at the reserved location they said they had no trailers so we went to next closest location. Employee transferred the sale to this location and finished the transaction. She was amazing, courteous, and actually cared about her customer. THANK YOU!!
Only had one person at the counter with a long line. The locking mechanism on the truck for both the passenger and driver side was broken.
The cab of the truck smelled like cigarette smoke which wasn't nice. The mobile check-in process takes a significant amount of time as well. Maybe warn people about how long it will actually take so they aren't blind sided.

All your locations suck. Employee more people and guaranty actual reservations. I almost didn't get a truck.

I gave a low review because I pre reserved everything online get there all to wait almost 40 mins and not one employee was at the register and me and 6 others walk outside around the building looking for a worker

Two things: 1) there is a crack in the windshield - lower right corner, driver's side - it is not apparent in the front pictures of the vehicle so I did not see it until I pulled off the lot. I called to let the counter person know; however, you should fix the windshield or at least make sure the next renter knows about it first. 2) the drivers side sunscreen “holder†is broken - this is trivial but wanted to let you know.
The check in person was nowhere to be found. There were multiple trucks in the check in line and the space was limited. The indoor staff was very nice and helpful, but the outdoor staff was not.
The manager at this location was very helpful. His service was excellent.

I was told my first months rent was free but I still was charged and then I wasn't given my cash back from renting the truck. Things did not go as smoothly as they should have been.
The staff is friendly,knowledgeable and efficient. The storage unit was very clean and well maintained.

Took a hot minute to process the reservation, having the system crash twice on us during check-in. The storage room was also on the third floor, in a nice hot warehouse. Not easy to access.

Communication was less than adequate. Cover put on wrong limiting access to UBox door. Boxes placed in area limiting garage access. Everything inside was safe though.

You're policy of not prorating on final monthly payments and then rerenting the same space is stealing/double dipping.
My only complaint is on the day I moved out of the lockers I was in line in the office/store area behind two other customers for 25 minutes. 20 minutes of which there was no staff at all there.
The storage unit did not have a light in it
Everyone on the staff I spoke to was friendly, helpful, and nice. I would definitely recommend them.
