The person who checked me in (Chris) was not wearing a mask indoors. I found this disturbing given that we are in a global pandemic and this violates city of Cambridge rules.

There is only metered street parking during using Uhaul. It usually takes 6-8 hours, so I couldn't park my own car during using Uhaul. I needed to use Uber.

Th service was ho-hum. I was unhappy to discover that in additional tto daily charge and mileage , which I was informed about. There was also a gas usage charge that there no was no mention of either by the staff or by your online advertising. I won't use UHAUL again. It feels like false advertising.

A man and woman helped me. The woman was atrocious - rude, curt, disrespectful, etc. I asked very simple and brief questions and she stared at me, talked to me in a rude voice, kept staring at me, etc. Secondly, they gave me to Final Receipts, for the amount charged to my debit-card, each amount was different, in the second Receipt they tried to charge me $6.00 for gas when I drove only 5.5 miles total. They even provided a drawing of the gas-gauge that had it below the 3/4 tank line, half way to the 1/2 full line. I took video of it before I left and it was only 1 millimeter below the 3/4 line. Dishonest, rude, abusive.

I used this location to install a hitch prior to my move day. Since I was new to towing , I asked the store general manager about what all I needed to tow a trailer. He advised me that all I needed was to install a hitch and that the rest can easily be taken care of the day I come to pick up my trailer. On my move day, I was about to pick up my trailer when the same general manager told me that I will be unable to tow a trailer since I was missing trailer wiring and that he couldn't accommodate a wiring request for at least 5 days!? Prior to this point I had not only consulted him directly regarding towing requirements but also called the location beforehand more than once to confirm that everything was in order for me to tow a trailer. The same general manager even installed my hitch earlier! I was lucky that there was a truck with a trailer available and that I had the resources to pay the $900 difference to immediately switch my reservation plans. I felt like the store general manager mislead me and was disingenuous. His offer of providing me with a wiring appointment 5 days after my move date was simply unacceptable since who has the luxury to reschedule their move by 5 days? The fact that this happened after all my effort to make sure I was prepared on the day of towing left me with a bad taste.

Once I reached this location with the truck to drop off and store my stuff in the storage box, my storage box didn't have a lock in it, the first month of the storage box was supposed to be free but I still had to pay for it and the crew did not tell us where to park the truck. I had to find a spot myself along the street and park.

The location was great though the vehicle I was driving stalled in the middle of a freeway and when I brought it back the technician brushed it off like it wasn't that serious. He said it was probably in manual mode but it was in drive and I feel like there should have been some sort of compensation for that considering how high of a safety hazard that is.

I was charged the flat rate of the 15' track ($10) and the cost per mile of the 15'. Overall, I was overcharged $35-40. The person on the front desk was unfriendly and perhaps rude. When I shared my concern about pricing, she ignored me. I needed the vehicle for a family move! However, it is unprofessional from a customer service point of view! I won't recommend UHaul to a friend.

The coworker was rude no eye contact when talking...didnt feel welcome when I drop off the truck and didnt help me at all when I was confused about some info with the truck and was all they phone the hole time..it was not busy I was the only one there that they could of took the time the guy was marking me I felt disrespectful by the way he came at me...not happy at all and got charge more for the gas when I put the exact amount how they gave me the truck and I'm sure they did it to be ignorant to me....thos coworker working that night didnt have any respect

I'd say as a passive user to U-Haul had no idea that the reservation cancelled after an hour, might be good for a text message to send out, also had issues with your apps UI uploading photos (Used Chrome and Firefox). Also, while the first agent meant well and took care of the cancelled reservation wasn't the most friendly or inviting personality. Could be many factors to consider.

I had to street park the truck alone, at night, with no help from the personnel who were in the building and refused to take the truck return. What's the point of having a physical location with parking for U-Haul trucks, if I have to parallel park a box truck on the street without customer service? Ridiculous.

I picked up two orders of merchandise. Both times the items were not ready and staff was not helpful in helping me locate my purchases. When I went to pick up my Uhaul it was parked in. I sat for an hour until the store officially opened. Someone arrived 30 mins prior to open but refused to help me. She moved plenty of trucks but not the one truck I needed pulled forward. Once the store officially opened I found the furniture pads were not in my truck and I was directed to a pile of dirty ones on the ground.

I was charged $128+ initially for driving 120 miles in and hour. Which I believe is impossible. I was also told it was my fault because i did not record the miles in the truck before I left. I would assume it would fall on Uhaul to know how many miles they have on their turks and not depend on me to tell them. I was also told that I would be reimbursed $17 for bringing the car back more than a 1/4 full which never happened. I filled the truck up and was not reimbursed. When I call and straighten the bill out, after being disconnected at first, I was reimbursed 90 and was left with a charge of $40 for an hour trip driving maybe 10 miles to pick up a dishwasher. Never will I use Uhaul again.

The service at this location was very disappointing. Both the cashier representative and the manager were very rude. I have rented from other locations previously and was very happy with their service. I rented a van over the weekend. Today, I found out I was charged $20 extra. When I called to inquire, I was told that this was a "convenience fee" because I did not click on a link that was supposedly sent as a text message to my phone. I never received any text messages from UHaul. As I was surprised, as this was never mentioned to me when I was renting the vehicle, the manager told me that it was in the contract and it was my fault for not reading the entire contract before signing. However, no contract was provided to me at that time, just "sign in the box". Peculiarly, while talking to the manager on the phone, I received an email from UHaul with my contract. When returning the vehicle, I refilled the tank, parked it on the designated spot at the specified time and dropped the keys in the box (as always in other locations). There was a big sign next to the drop key box "Returning after hours" with instructions. I followed the steps there. The $20 "convenience fee" was not mentioned if you are not provided a link to follow. The only communication that I had from Uhaul in regards to this rental was on my email with a link, which when clicking on it, said "Link is expired". An expired link in an email and a link in a text message that one is supposed to receive, but no trail of it is a very convenient way to collect an extra $20 from customers. And the rude tone and attitude was very disappointing. Would not recommend this location.

I had a storage that was on the top level and I never could get access to the ladder they have only one that worked properly. The other one didn’t work correctly and I never could get access to either of them when I was interested there. I had to pay extra because I need to get into my storage at my convenience but never did so I rent a lower storage that cost extra. The bathroom is very dirty all the time and never no toilet paper. And most employees have attitudes. And some one stole from me in this facility.

I book the time in the 5:00 am by 24/7 but when I arrive that at 5:00 am. The systems shows I need to verify face to face by shop assistant so I only can do is to wait to 9:00 am to wait for you open. But I have my schedule, rental at 5 am is important for me. I cannot believe you promise I can rental at 5 am but I cannot rental on time and need to wait to the 9 am.

U-Haul helped me and my friends out immensely when the COVID-19 crisis began. We had two days’ notice to leave campus, and our experience setting up the unit could not have been smoother. The staff was kind, attentive, and understanding during the most chaotic of moving situations.

Super convenient location in central square. Staff is friendly and helpful. Several additional conveniences include that the facility is climate controlled, has a nice restroom (always super clean?!) , has spacious hallways, and they provide several carts for moving your stuff around. Access was easy with the uhaul card, swipe in the right box to check in, swipe in the left box to unlock the door, open the garage door and drive right in. Even though there's really only room for 1-2 cars at the top of the ramp, I never was unable to pull up and do my thing in 6 months of regular use. I paid <$150/month for quite a big space. It's a really good deal considering the price/sq ft in Cambridge. The facility is frequented by homeless people, who probably appreciate the affordable and safe storage. I never felt uncomfortable, and was never solicited for money - they were either chill and friendly or privately going about their business. First month free, and checkout was easy. Just show them a pic of the empty unit. A bit of feedback for improvement: The screws used in the construction of the units were much too long, so there are several exposed screw tips (1-1.5") coming through the walls of the unit, giving a decent probability you could puncture yourself if you were moving stuff around in there and not being careful. These could be shielded with plastic drywall anchors or cut off?

The staff at this location were extremely helpful in a crisis situation. They handled my van and storage rentals quickly and without a single hitch. Moving out of a dorm for the summer is already stressful, and moving out with two days' notice infinitely more so--but the team here made it as smooth an experience as possible.

Very helpful and informative on the first time I called, then the second when the website gave me problems, then on the third when I had to change my online reservation person! This was a crazy busy day for them with the college (virus) shutdowns and frazzled students and parents, but you wouldn't know it from their kind demeanor! And I talked to two different women, both wonderful! A heartfelt thank you for your info, empathy and professionalism! And I wish I had their names (this was on 3/10/20 if that helps you figure out who helped me.) ! I will recommend your location to anyone!

Staff was rude. I was made to buy a very particular type of lock. I was made to rent for the entire month. I was not able to open my online uhaul account.

Staff is extremely helpful and provided a good customer experience. But elevator was not operational--hauling heavy items down the ramp on a dolly felt unsafe. The rolling ladders also need fixing.
