In the last year the security system was often down and the rates were going up regularly. Until recently, calls were redirected to the call centre where messages were passed along to the store. I rarely got a call back and subsequently had to call back several times. Time of day didn't seems to matter.

Im not very happy getting charged a full day when i returned the rental when it was just a couple hours late. I chose not agree with the rental price online and it said someone would call me back in 48 hrs to discuss . No returned my call and i was just charge for the full day. Had i have known I technically had the rental for another full day I would have kept it as I could have really used it!

Make sure all employees follow covid safety precautions. Had to ask the employee helping with my return to first wear a mask (he was inside), and then to wear it fully when we were outside (he had it under his nose). Other staff were very helpful in other aspects of this transaction.

I was given an appliance dolly instead of a utility dolly. I was refunded the difference in the end but made for a bit more of a difficult move. I also think your website should be updated with what is available for trucks as after reserving one online it was disappointing to hear that the bigger trucks weren't available.

One male employee wasn't wearing their mask correctly and wouldn't sit behind the privacy screens. The location clearly had some Covid procedures in place, but this employee seemed to disregard. The female employee that helped check back in the vehicle was very kind and quickly wrapped up the transaction. Prices were reasonable and equipment was well maintained.

I was help by two chaps, both excellent. Garry helped me get on the road, his service was great, friendly and efficient. Dal was the one I had when I returned the trailer, also efficient and friendly. This was much appreciated when I was returning after a long drive. Thank you for your good service. I had checked out rates at other UHauls locations and was disappointed with them not answering their phone to lousy service. I will definitely recommend this location.

I was told I needed to clean the truck spotless and I told the worker it was not my problem to clean their trucks, she then said that it was me that dirtied it so i provided a picture of the truck taken before renting it out(truck was clean) and yet there was still a hassle which caused about a 30 minute delay. Also while i was dealing with the employee, she walked away from me to help another customer further taking up more of my time.

Better communication with customers that book a vehicle. I didnt bring my credit card with me as was going to use my visa debit, so they wouldn't give me the vehicle I booked. I had to take another vehicle which cost me more money in mileage. NOT HAPPY

From the management down, the same sour attitude prevails. I saw one mask during my 2 visits on the same day. The guy 'cleaning' the truck could well have been breathing covid into it. When i mentioned to the manager that masks were mandatory, she made a loud comment to the other woman in the room - who i've since learned is her sister - and slammed the door. Earlier in the day, the sister's response to my inquiry was that they've all been tested. WOW! NOT PLEASED.

I have reservations and did the online check in before I went there to pick up the car. When I got there, they told me no truck for me to pick up. I am very shock at that time because I already book the hotel, moving help, check out date with my apartment. I wait for a 24 hours to pick up my car. Very bad experience with uhaul.

The online forms and key pick up system was not great. I did not know I needed to refill out all my information on the day of after I'd reserved my truck. So when I arrived I spent 10 minutes doing that in my car and then had to wait 20 minutes to be approved even though all the information had been sent the week prior. Once approved I still had to go inside the building and wait in line to pick up my key which seems to be the opposite of the whole online reservation system of avoiding having to go inside the building and talking to an employee during the pandemic. The system was faulty and did not save me time or person to person contact.

My poor rating is due to my experience with one of your staff who I found very rude and toxic. ( middle aged lady with short dark hair). I was later than I expected to arrive and she immediately greeted me with a condescending lecture that if I arrived an hour late I can expect to have the truck I'm paying for given away. I didn't realize my arrival time was set in stone. After that, she was bossy to her coworker ( blond middle aged lady) interrupting her conversation with her own client by being bossy, telling her she was phrasing something wrong. She immediately upset her coworker with her approach which was visible to the other customer and myself. Her coworker then needed help with something on the computer and my rude lady said she'd help but had an arrogant flair about her- like she's top dog. I was just staring at her at this point and I think she understood as she became this fake nice person now. I later called in the afternoon frantic that I needed to extend my time by an hour and she said again was not pleasant saying I paid with debit and that she couldn't then charge me more. She made it seem like there was someone waiting for my truck (at the time she said she's nit in front of a computer screen, then told me to wait till she was, then still said I couldn't be late. That made me frantic as I could'nt control the situation that I found myself in that was making me a bit late with her words, be back by 4 when I knew that was going to be difficult. I was working like mad and anxious to meet that timing and called at 4 to talk to Not Friendly Lady and tell her I tried my hardest but was going to be a half hour late. I then got this man on the phone instead of her and he was the opposite, friendly, calm, didn't have a chip on her shot think he was god, he told me to relax, take my time, the truck wasn't booked and that I didn't need to rush!!! If I had been told that at 3 pm when I spoke to her, it would of made my experience so much better and less anxious. I think bossy lady needs to apologize to her coworker and be demoted to put her dent into her arrogance. On the phone to that guy I mentioned he was nice, when I arrived back and realized I forgot my car keys, he calmly said no problem, drive back and get them, no rush, whereas I feel bossy lady would not have been so accommodating.

Staff were friendly- but not helpful. See above - might want to change to two questions instead of one. Long wait times in store to pay for monthly storage. It never fails that someone is renting a truck or a locker whenever I am there to pay. Some wait times over 20 minutes. They have a “payment only” sales desk but there is never any staff there to work that desk. No pro-rating of monthly pre-paid rent. For example, I paid Sept.14 by pre-authorized payment for rent valid until October 14, 2020 but we moved out on September 26, 2020.I was told that 2 weeks rent will not be reimbursed. Asked employee at counter and he replied no money back. Why not? The storage locker is empty and available to be rented again effective the morning of Sept. 26, so why can you not refund the pre-paid rent? You have my credit card number, so please refund. Also upon move out, I asked for a receipt to show the pre-authorization of payments will stop. He could not provide me with anything like that. He said it’s all in the computer and they will stop because you moved out. He then provided me with a piece of paper from the computer saying Moved Out and a zero balance due. Unable to set up debit card for monthly payments at the onset of the rental term was an inconvenience. Please note: I did not have any problems with the staff. They were always polite. The problems are relating to administration and store policies. Just wanted to clarify that. Thanks.

Hello, Please allow me summarize may be not critical, but still concerns. 1. We spent a lot of time waiting in the line in the store. 2. The process of returning car afterhours was not easy. The web site asks to scan the barcode on the "north side of the building". We make several trips around your huge building but didn't find any barcode to scan. 3. This morning I got receipt wit h wrong fuel tank meter and charges for fuel. I already sent email to 827037_GM@uhaul.com about my concerns and picture to proof we returned the exact amount of fuel. I hope I will be paid back for wrong charges. My contract is 80125627. Please be sure my issue will be resolved. Thank you in advance. Alexander Chernyakov 2042905305

Takes way to long to pickup n drop off. As I previously went in days earlier to book 15 mins. To pickup 33 mins then to drop off sign says stay in vehicle we waited for 10 min nobody around workers were not wearing u haul clothing guy said in hitch trailer we're ur parked

I made a reservation on the phone for a cargo van and the person on the phone gave me a quote (after he looked up the exact mileage I would use) and When I went to pick up the van, they said it would cost me $30 more than what I was quoted. If I knew it would be $30 more I would have looked into renting from a competitor. I secured the reservation on the information That was given on the phone. The person taking the reservation should have been up front with me that the reservation was a quote. I was under the impression that the price I was given on the phone was what I was going to pay when I picked up the van On top of that, I stood in line for over half an hour waiting to do the paper work to pick up the van. When I finally got the keys, the person who did the paper work directed me to the wrong vehicle to take. I went back into the store and waited another 10 minutes to ask the same lady that she gave me the wrong keys to the van she told me to go to.. After I was told to go to a different van, it was over an hour until I was able to leave the lot. I was expecting to be in and out in about 10-15 minutes. It was a frustrating and unpleasant experience. The customer service and experience was poor to say the least.

While it was advertised that the rental was 19.95 and my online estimate was in the $140.00 range, a one day rental ended up costing $300.00. Not impressed at all, and my estimate with professional movers would have cost me less and saved pain and suffering with have to perform this small move myself. Online estimates need to be more accurate.

Firstly yes no answers aren’t really the way to go with these kind of things, if you click no you need to be able to explain. So a text box should come up right after it, after selecting No right below. No’s on (where I needed a survey answer other than no) - Access time, relates to Office time, as these are the only times the big doors can be open, and then just a regular sized door is available. I think we should be able to park inside and close the big door, off hours. This probably could have saved me a bit of money, by coming to pick up a few items at a time with my vehicle. No, but Yes for Staff Helpful/Friendly, YES on “friendly,” NO on the “helpful” on one of the 5 occasions I went to my storage, this last time renting a 15’ uhaul truck. I indicated to the staff member, who was new I guess, that I was literally going 1.1km (2.2km round trip), and asked if I really needed make the extra stop for fuel. While he kept saying that I would have to, I asked the folks who spoke better english and common sense prevailed and indicated no you don’t need to bother filling it up. Round trip was ~2.2km (1.36mi), from/to Uhaul 461 Century St to/from 232 King Edward St. Not sure how you could add that to the training had to speak to the other employees. The other issue, is that for this large facility, you only had the single bar push roller the other day...and I had larger items In my storage that would have been better on the mattress roller (has 3 bars, 2 shorter on the sides, and one larger one in the middle, where the mattress would rest against), where the bars are parallel to the rolling direction, you really should have a few of those there. I broke an expensive window, by using the single barred push roller, so ya...thanks alot. Grrr. Spend $200+ a month on storage, and initially the 3 bar roller was available, though 1 bar roller when moving out, and it caused damage to my property. Big glass windows, well, they are expensive. You need those 3 bar rollers back, you should have 2 available.

I found the management at the century store disorganized in terms of their knowledge of policies regarding storage unit prices and customer support with discrepancies that arose with my storage unit contract (in the first year on my rental contract, I wasn’t told that the price was increased and because of this issue I fell behind in payment resulting in a “red” lock being put on my storage unit and couldn’t access it). The manger wasn’t professional in terms of attitude when discussing this issue and other issues that came up. On the positive side, Reyjane (CSR century store) was amazing, great attitude, and always very helpful. She went above and beyond to help me.

I had 2 issues while I rented this locker. First, there was a leak of their hot water tank and it went into my locker. The staff helped me move everything out, but to get another locker the same size, I had to go way to the back and there was no lighting in the hallway outside the new locker. I was partially reimbursed for the items I lost.

I was never called to book my ubox delivery and after I called them i got the run around. I never got sent a receipt for the shipping and after i asked for it i was told there wasnt one. Do better!!
