We originally reserved a trailer at the 1st street location in Yakima and it was not there when we arrived and the customer service at that location was terrible. The attendant told me there were no trailers available for 100 miles and really didn't seem to care. Wondering if he even checked so I called the 1-800 number they found us a trailer a mile away which is the Nob Hill location. The Nob Hill workers were awesome so helpful and easy to work with, had us on the road right away. Amazing how different the customer service was from one location to the next. We will take all our business and recommend the Nob Hill location.

The U-Haul site on Nob Hill in Yakima was very helpful. Pat the yard technician was very polite and helpful. He walked me through step by step on how to hook up the trailer and gave me some pointers made me feel better

The guy who helped out made everything 10000x worse. The truck I ordered wasn’t there so thankfully we got a free upgrade but the computers were down. I work retail I understand that but don’t ruin the customer’s day just politely tell us what’s going on. Don’t freak out on us.

I was called and ask to return to this location rather than the original drop-off location (Wapato) due to this location not having the appropriate equipment to rent to another customer. When speaking to the customer service agent on the phone, I was told my mileage rates would not be affected and to not worry about any overages. When I arrived to drop off my truck and tow dolly, I was immediately told by a different customer service agent that I needed to pay for the mileage overages. After informing them I had already made arrangements with the female agent the day before, the current agent reluctantly removed the overage charges. The attitude that the agents portrayed were not friendly and inviting and were rather abrasive and condescending. I was giving the impression that I was being done a favor, by bring the equipment to them rather than the original drop-off location 20 miles closer to my destination. I would recommend some refresher training on customer service etiquette.

I rented a 15 foot truck. The truck was very nice and drove well but did not have cruise control. That would have made the trip much more pleasurable. Other than that, everything was great.

The location at 305 T Ave. in Anacortes, WA was a great location (Cap Sante Mini Storage). Awesome service!!!!! U-Haul.com was accommodating in providing us with a 10-ft truck when the trailer we were promised became unavailable.(The compensation was awesome!) In the agreement, we were promised unlimited mileage. However, when I returned the truck to Nob Hill location in Yakima, WA, I was charged mileage on the truck I rented although the destination was known, and I returned the truck a day early. I feel that this was an oversight to promise the customer unlimited mileage and then charge, especially when the destination address was in the rental agreement. I feel that this was merely an oversight on someone's part, not intended. Overall, U-haul has been an awesome experience and I will use you again and again, and advertise for you! Thank you! As noted above, I had a positive experience reserving and renting the equipment and the staff that worked with me when I picked up the equipment. The issue I have is that in the process of checking the truck and trailer in, my son (who was in our 2015 Toyota Sienna van) was approached by a man and was questioned as to why he was there. My son responded by telling him I was checking in the rentals and pointed to me (no one else was around at the time). The man then informed my son that he was the manager's husband and was checking to make sure my son was not a person who was homeless. He then told him that they have been having problems with 'bums' and just wanted to make sure he was on the property legally. He then shared this information with me after the check in and was not able to talk to the man because he had left the scene. I called Cassandra Franklin, the manager at the Yakima WA location on 2304 E. Nob Hill and attempted to explain my concerns which were (1) that my son should not have been approached by a non-employee (her husband which she admitted that he is NOT employed by U-Haul and did not present any form of identification) as to the legality of his presence on a business related transaction (checking in rental equipment) (2) that her husband should have had a conversation with me, the customer, if he had any questions or concerns (3) that his assumption that anyone on the property might be a homeless person. To my surprise Mrs. Franklin's response to my concerns were met with condensation and rudeness. She did not allow me to complete my conversations defending her husband's actions by informing me about the problems the business has been having with intruders, damaged and stolen property, and homeless people (too much information for me, I just wanted to share my son's experience with her). She apologized by telling that it was too bad my son felt (violated) the way he did did and then went on to defend her husband's behavior by telling me that her husband was just checking people "hanging" out on the property and again telling me circumstances surrounding the homeless issue. When I shared with her that it did not appear she was listening to my concerns, she cut my conversation and raised her voice. When I asked her for a corporate phone number she rattled the number off where I did not understand it and asked for it again. At this point she stated she did not care if I contacted the corporate office and that I just needed to "get over it" and then discontinued our conversation by hanging up the phone. Customer service is lacking. Communication with how things work is horrible. We called to reserve a box truck and asked about paying cash, we were told yes we could and it would be appropriately 60 dollars for our rental. Nothing was said about a deposite. Store manager does not have a very good attitude and the other employee we delt with for checking in the truck wasnt the best with communication either. We put a credit card down for rental and were told we could pay cash when we returned, he just charged the card before I had a chance to remind them I was paying with cash.

Reserved 17 foot truck, they gave me a 15. Dolly and pads already in vehicle reduced space even more. Said truck had 3/4 tank of gas, it was short. Took forever to check out with only one employee. Truck door wouldn't close after unloading.

because we had another reservation to use them again and then the day before told us we would have to drive to Moses Lake, Wa from Yakima to pick up the truck. it cost us two more days delay and additional expenses to find another company which we did. Everything was packed up and ready to load then we got the call saying no longer truck avavaile in Yakima for us to use. So cost time and money.

The truck I rented clearly had a rr low tire pressure message on the dash when you started it. I had problems the whole time with the tire. Does any one check these trucks before they go out for rental? It was 1am when I picked it up so I couldn’t exactly go inside and swap truck ya know second bad experience with U-Haul inside of a month. Wow

This location is understaffed, and the mileage was entered wrong on the check out. Your system really should not allow that as it showed 30000 less than, what it had on it. Obviously the mileage can't be less then what the last check in mileage was. Anyway it was taken care of and the local shop was nice enough to charge me less miles than what I anticipated since they hadn't recorded the correct mileage at checkout.
