I just received a bill with extra unexplained charges. The auto transport and pickup truck I reserved was NOT ready to go when I arrived. I had a schedule to keep which was why I made a reservation.. The auto trailer had deficient straps that were shortened due to extensive fraying on the ends. The trailer lights did not work. This is a safety issue. I was not aware until told by an annoyed motorist who promised to write to uhaul. I called the location on enterprise on Kelowna where I rented from hoping to get an explanation for the extra charges. The girl who answered mumbled something quickly then put me on hold for at least 4 minutes. I finally hung up.. my break was over. So. Unhappy overall. Not a good nor safe experience.

The online app to return the truck did not work and gave me an error message, I had to call the 1-800 number to get help returning the truck. not a huge deal just thought you guys should know

Lengthy line up due to only one staff member "present" at the desks, entry drive in door for loading was inoperable due to circumstances - which is fine - however this was not explained while at the desk - had to find alternate route on my own which ate up quite a bit of time. On day two of move in the elevator was down - which again is fine - however there is only one set of stairs that lead to the upstairs...??? No secondary elevator?? No second set of stairs? No estimate on when the repairs were going to be performed or completed. Furthermore, lots of individuals disregarding face masks - no staff to enforce mandatory mask guidelines. Lastly, they've so far charged me for my pre-authorized amount for my van rental, however, I used significantly less kilometers than I had estimated. No final breakdown of the final bill was emailed to me. Staff was friendly enough, but this facility is lacking some fundamentals in some significant areas as outlined.

Waited on hold to book, needed a corporate booking, finally booked online, had to put it on my Credit Card, tried to switch the booking to corporate at the office, after waiting 25 min in line, 1 staff, many customers, was told to call the 1-800 number to switch, horrible service.

I asked for a printed receipt and the guy told me to go inside. It was 8 people deep and I couldn't wait any longer. I looked at the receipt the next day and was overcharged 350 $on kms! U-Haul was very quick to rectify the problem when I showed up. Well done Brandon, the lady in the phone and others who assured me it was going to be corrected. Check your kms and fuel ALWAYS!

Have rented from this location several times. Check-in/pick-up is always extremely slow, with usually only 1 person doing check-ins even though early am weekend, busy time. Always there well before scheduled pick-up time, but usually do not actually get truck until well after scheduled time. Contract does not adjust the late pick-up time created By U-Hauls poor staffing and slow check-in procedure. Feel it is very poor that the customer is paying for U-Hauls inneficiency.

Was difficult at first to locate actual entrance for dropping off unit. Big complex and different driveways leading into parts of this location, especially since you are coming off a busy street. Pulled into wring driveway first and had to walk around front of building to find correct driveway to go into for drop off

The back Bay door of trucks should be able to lock. Considering customers are responsible for the all items. I left the blankets in the front of the vehicle given there are a lot Of theft in Kelowna.

I paid for a locker cc put on it, I already had a locker so they cancelled second. Took cc off my first locker and charged me a 15 dollar late fee. Had to go to office to straighten out as website did not work and no one waaas answering the phone, arted 50 minute wait

Hire more people to run the front. I waited in line for 1 hour (only 6 people ahead of me when I arrived) then it took another 45 mins to get the trailer hooked up. Staff couldn't find the trailer that I reserved and then tried to give one that was not going to work. I had to work longer that day to make up for the wasted time at u haul.

I had a very poor experience when returning the rental. I want into the main office area and no one was there to help. I waited to see if anyone would come and no one did. I noticed through a window in a door that there were 2 guys working in the garage. The door stated employees only so I just opened it to ask if there was anyone to help, the one guy named Bernie told me to ask someone out front for help and when I started to say there was no one he yelled at me saying "the door says employees only" and proceeded to push/kick the door closed in my face. Now if I hadn't moved back the door would have smashed my face. To say the least I was furious and let the young man who helped me know this. As far as I am concerned Bernie needs proper customer service training, needs to be scolded like a child because he acted like a child. I don't care how bad a day you may be having that is completely unacceptable. Let's just say if that door hit me in the face you would have a very large lawsuit on your hands and he would have been arrested for assault. I can you tell you that even thinking about the whole incident makes me very angry right now. Very disappointed with what took place.

Confusion between reservation center ( 1-800 #) and pick up location >...Short staffing @ this locations resulted in inventory (AT) not being promptly reloaded into inventory data base .. Renting a truck is easy and convenient but storage with uhaul is not. It's overpriced, the access hours are inaccurate, the elevator and bathroom were gross, and they double charged my boyfriends credit card for his storage unit and then locked him out of it anyways(for apparently not paying). It took an hour to get someone to come down to unlock it while we were trying to move. Staff were friendly but they're clearly understaffed. Every single time we've gone to get something from our units in the 3 months we rented for, either the gate was locked early or the floors were being polished so we were denied access to our specific units. I don't know why they need to polish the floors so often but don't clean the elevator or bathroom. We pay close to 200 $EACH for our units and to be locked out 2 hours early after driving half an hour to our belongings is disappointing and frustrating. We can't even call to see if we would have access because it takes an hour long hold to reach someone at the store. Access clearly says online 5am to 10pm but gate was locked at 8pm, sometimes even 7pm. Truly disappointing 3 months.

Guy at the counter clearly didn't want to be there. A young guy said he hurt his back and the manager decided to ignore the line up for a half hour while he filled out an incident report. Instead of just telling the younger man to sit and wait for hit while he saw to a couple of the customers he decided to make the customers sit and wait instead, at least one of who left. I would've too except the storage closed at 5 and it was nearly that so I don't have a choice. He didn't seem happy any of us were there.

Hire more people! There seems to be hardly anyone working there... at least there was no help for the office staff... the person serving the storage customer in front of me took 15 minutes with them, and then took 15 minutes with me checking out my trailer rental, even though I had checked-in online before I came, and then she had to go out to the yard, manually drag the trailer out of a line-up of trailers and hook it up to my vehicle. And she seemed to be by herself!

I booked online and had to be helped to finish the booking which is okay and I have rented 3 times at this location. When I first got in the vehicle the gas was not above where it should have been. I purposely asked the attendant where it showed the mileage and then I took picture at 15583 miles and when finished said 15617 so my mileage calculation was 34 miles and filled slightly above the line as supposed to and attendant just said leave keys good to go and now when looking at invoice charged for 56 miles. I don't appreciate being taken advantage of and the mileage shown on invoice does not even show the same on odometer reading I had. Won't be coming back or recommending.I never really do reviews but this one bothered me.

The lineup was quite slow-moving. I was in the line up 15 minutes prior to my pickup time but did not end up leaving with my u-haul until 1hour past my booking time. There were 2 customers before me who were asking about and organizing storage. This took them well over 25 minutes to organize. There should be a separate lineup for reservations if trucks.

It was a gong show, it took us 45 mins to get our truck. The online system took forever, we couldn't find the vehicle #, and nobody knew what was going on. The employees were all running around like chickens with their heads cut off, trying to locate keys and the right truck. Definitely need a better system!

Reservation was botched. Said I needed truck from 31 until June 2. June 1 got call at noon truck was over due. Chat was not working held over an hour and could not get through. Was charger for extra moving blankets I never took. Cancelled dollys but was still charged. Truck door was impossible to open.

the entire experience was smooth and trouble free - no surprise charges, and drop off was basically say hello to fellow in parking lot and walk away - everything taken care of. Exceptional customer care/ease of service. Much appreciated. The truck was powerful clean and new - pleasure to drive. Will def be using this rental facility more in future (!)

the rates are absolutely ridiculous to rent a vehicle for a single hour to move one thing. after all is said and done including insurance, gas, mileage and rental fee the price is almost triple that advertised “19,95 $” a day.. absolutely appalling.

The uhaul agent wasn't able to pull up my locker reservation even though he was reading the reservation number right off the email you guys sent me when I booked it. I ended up having to rent a bigger locker and now I'm paying an extra 20$ a month. Not impressed

I rented a pickup today. The steering wheel, drivers door and radio area appeared clean? The seats, centre arm rest and cup holders were filthy. Box at the back had dirt and some gravel inside of it. I have another rental coming up and I'm hoping that it will be in better condition!!!

Update/mark the areas where the trailers are damaged. This had not been done on the trailer I rented- so had to take a bunch of pictures. It will reduce the amount of time required for the consumer to get the trailer.

After Andrew left the Kelowna Enterprise way location everything went down hill and fast. A middle aged bald man who does hitch installs seemed to run the show. He was late rude and just started taking things way. Like my access remote which i PAY FOR MONTHLY. He just walked up one morning a demanded it. No explanation. Just an absolute jerk. His hygiene was poor and he RARELY WAS SEEN WITH A MASK ON. You could see his facial herpes as he demanded my access remote control. I frequently saw him sneaking cigarette breaks everytime he would issue a trailer rental. Just and awful man. He was short with my fiancée. We were very loyal customers. Were is the key word and we and encouraging everyone to move out of uhaul before they are abused too. The younger staff were quite accommodating and helpful. They deserve good treatment and praise. But the man needs to go. Bring back Andrew. He was fantastic

Not sure. First time renting, so no comparables. Reasonably short wait time in line( online check-in ahead) 5+/-minutes until 2nd cashier came. Quick from there....quick and easy drop-off. Logically laid out parking & pick-ups/drops. Polite staff , good selection of moving supplies. Well worth the little money to "get the bigger one". ( best advice EVER) Good first time rental.

Your system is great. Sometimes the way it is run is not. Some staff care, others don't. Equipment dirty or poorly maintained mechanically. usually steering is poorly aligned and trucks wobbles.

I inquired and told I would get a free month because I wanted to stay with uhaul and move my belongings to port moody location. Port moody would not honor it and your location would not give me the free month instead. It was noted on my file and still no employee would honor it. I was told it was for a free truck rental and not the unit. I however know this to false as I have also had a conversation with them at the call center. A representative was supposed to.call me last week and did not. I was mislead and lied to about the free month. I decided to just move my stuff to a different company's storage. I feel I should get my free month reimbursed. Second on a more serious note. I have informed health canada about your employees disregard of the mandated mask rules. First time I entered, I stood in line for 5 minutes or so. 3 gentlemen had no mask on, an employee in a red shirt, just had his mouth covered and was talking to another person on the other side of the glass, that seemed like an employee off duty doing some inquiring of his own with his mask off. I politely mentioned the masks, they all gave me an excuses of different reasons then put them on. I mentioned it was mandated and they agreed to that statement and apologized. Not acceptable from a national company. I cleaned out my locker and entered again to inform them and one of the same guys had his mask off again. I am sure corporate will find this highly unacceptable. Please discuss and set mandated orders at your facility. This letter is meant to not only state my grievance, but also to serve a a respectable reminder to please ask and demand your employees follow mandated health guidelines. I was at your location from about 1130 to 1230ish on Saturday May 22

After our bike and generator were bolt cutter off our trailer we got no help from staff and found that anyone could access the storage area thru the drivethru access. No security no assistance and place is filthy. A complete ripoff.

We had issues with this facility from the beginning. One member of the staff initially refused to honor the one free month with a truck rental because we were renting two units after renting two trucks. He finally relented. After a poor review the manager contacted us and offered us a free month to make up for the hassles. New management came in and we had to fight again for that free month. We were told the new manager would call us. Two days went by and no call. Called again and were told manager would call us. No call ever came so we had to go in to the facility to make sure the free month was actually in place. When we moved out the young man behind the desk looked like he wanted to be anywhere but where he was and he had his earphones in and was tuning into his phone/music before he finished the transaction (receipt was printing). No one said "thanks for being a customer/using our services" or "we appreciate your business." I would never recommend this facilty to anyone. Go to Rutland - 1606 Findlay Road - where the staff are friendly, helpful and make you feel good about using the services. We rented our last truck from them and are so glad we did.

Dealing with uhaul has been incredibly frustrating. Each time we went or called it was a disaster and stressful. Or we were hung up on, or in the lobby with no staff in the building. Our movers ended up having to haul all our belongings from the storage down the stairs yesterday because the floors were being waxed. Do that on off hours. How ridiculous. It cost us hundreds mire dollars with the movers due to the stairs and no elevator.

Motor home storage was promised with electricity for trickle battery chargers. Plugs pulled out and sockets blanked off with metal plates. No warnings sent to owners. All my batteries needed removal in order to start the coach. A simple notification of change in policy would have allowed me to switch batteries OFF.

The service is terrible and slow. The units are gross and smell. There were homeless people living out of a unit by mine and it smelled horrible. The line ups are long, the staff moves at a less than urgent pace. They rented me two rooms by accident. They were out of locks to buy. Overall, a terrible storage company.

They didn't walk us through how to sign in and sign out. There's no instructions or map. It took us 30 minutes to figure out how to get in, and another 30 mins to find the unit. Should put a floor layout map on each level. And it would be nice to give each customer a small instruction booklet with photos to illustrate how the sign in/out works.

This is a hard review to write because the facility is great and offers a drive in, drop off experience that is perfect no matter what the weather. For the most part the staff are wonderful. Management is another story. We found the managers to be rude, profit motivated and difficult to deal with. When we moved in the facility was out of padlocks and asked us to use our own. We did. We checked back in a few days to see if the locks were in and they weren't. A few days later we received notice that our lock had been cut off and a UHaul lock installed on our unit. They took the time to send an email but didn't take the time to call us and let us know, instead choosing to ruin our perfectly good lock taken from our storage shed. This is just one example of the issues we had with the facility. We also had to fight to get our free month that came with renting a truck. We rented a moving truck in our former city and received a free month for that. When we rented a second truck from this location to finish up our move they absolutely did not want to give us another free month on a second unit. The manager was rude about it and very begrudgingly gave it to us. That said the staff we have dealt with in our daily interactions have been friendly and helpful.

We had a very negative experience with trying to pick up a trailer in Sparwood, the trailer malfunctioned and we couldn't bring all of our items with us. The managemebt was rude and unapologetic. When we arrived at Uhaul in Kelowna on Enterprise Way we were greeted with great customer service and support by a very understanding young man, which made up for the negative experience the day before. Staff are less thank helpful, and also beyond incompetent ... Given misinformation multiple times. Also was charged for this unit AFTER it was emptied and we closed the contract (or the staff told us it was closed). One woman there is competent, but the manager and front staff don't know what they are doing and have no people skills. When asked a question they don't know they sit and stare at you blankly until you walk away. Less than impressed and will be telling friends NOT TO EVER USE THIS LOCATION FOR ANY REASON. had the same difficulties while renting trucks from this location in the past. Staff need some sort of training and knowledge about the locations services BEFORE being put on the desk with no manager around. The male manager of this location gets beligerant and downright rude when we are attempting to clear up disputes caused by his staff's previous misinformation given to us. Negative 5 stars.

Front staff fantastic :) When I was unloading close to 8;00 pm the closing South Asian informed us that you closed at 8:00. The warning of your closure started at 7:30 then 7:40 then every 5 minutes until you closed.I understand you have hours of operation but I don't need to be on the edge of harassed.He was slowing use down with his constant interference. Regarding having our stuff in storage, the experience was good, the only issue is the u-haul charging me 2 units for the whole month of December when I used them for just a few days. 1 unit I used for 1 week in December after payment and the second unit for 3 days after payment. I thought I would have a refund for the remind of the month but I didn't. I paid the units online for December's month even thou I knew that we were using just for a few days, but that's what honest people do, pay their bills, right? However, the units are sitting empty now, u-haul took the whole monthly payment and will rent the same units and will make more money! That's the only issue that I have! Merci.

At one point last fall there was a man living in the unit across from mine. I told the staff, and they did respond, but as a result my unit was ransacked by mice... I had to go through all my stuff and discard some. That's why I answered no to number 5. Other than that, I do think they keep it maintained.

Front office staff are friendly and helpful, but elusive. Not uncommon to stand in the front for 10 minutes without seeing a staff member, or to wait 20 minutes in a line to speak to one of them. On the flip side, every time I spoke to the GM (Andrew) I had a bad experience. He's a horrible little man with the wrong attitude for dealing with people, be they staff or customers. I moved my rental to Spacious Storage for the above reasons.

For two years in a row now I have been told I had storage for my boat. As I go to bring my boat in they say that my reservation confirmation was no good as the manager had just given ours places away. The fact that I got it resolved after hours of working on it myself and pushing the staff to get something done. Shows a lack of management and organizational skills. I feel that head office or corporate or whoever may have given all our spots away dealt with the customers extremely inappropriately. I believe for all the inconveniences and the sheer lack of trust your company shows. That they would give some kind of gratification or credit to the customer like myself. I am happy to be in the storage unit with my boat but by far had to work very hard to get it. The staff that was on site and Kelowna worked very hard to try and help me out. I do not know who was to blame for this but two years in a row is too much

There were people living in units beside mine. My stuff was ruined and destroyed from mice because of the people living in the units beside me. When I signed up I was not asked if I wanted the protection plan. Then I was called a liar for saying that I wasn't offered the protection plan. I will be going to the papers in Vancouver Kelowna I'm going to go write the city. I believe people were going into my locker and stealing stuff because I am missing a lot of stuff. My main concern is the difficult access to the storage parking spaces in the warehouse. Very inconvenient to have to go into the office, line up, then ask someone to open the back door. When I first rented the storage space over a year ago, I was told that they would be putting in some kind of key fob or card access system. This never happened. If it had been done, I would have probably stayed there.

The monthly storage was fine but I left because they are renovating the place and both of my car covers are totally ruined because they are caked on with dust and dirt... They are ruined and I need new ones. Second of all, the day I'm checking out, no one notices my wife and I and are 2 year old daughter are still in the compound getting our vehicle to leave and they locked us in. There is no one around to let us out as they closed with us still in the place! And you can't call anyone because you end up getting people in the states as they are an American company. We were locked in there for over an hour and they wouldn't believe us because they couldn't see us on camera or something... terrible experience your better on to pay for a proper storage facility as I went to save a little bit of mo way but your better off for a 24 hour storage facitily as they're hours are terrible and they don't really care about you like they should

From the start it was a bad experience. Was told one door code, tried it multiple times, didn't work! Waited for over an hour to get in to the storage unit. Was told we could go anytime and drop stuff off, wasn't true. Trying to call, is a nightmare. Get put on hold forever, then get hung up on. The workers don't seem to have a clue what you're asking or talking about, 3 or 4 people to actually understand. On move out I noticed quite a bit of mouse droppings in my storage unit. This was quite alarming to me as we moved from out of province and used your storage facility to keep our house contained basically. All our precious items were there and to know that mice were all inside and around our belongings, really made us very uncomfortable. Being in the food industry I am quite aware of "hantavirus" and it's effects to humans through inhalation of the droppings. We had to clean and sanitize all items that we took from the storage unit after finding the traces of mouse droppings. This took up a lot of our time. We were more than unhappy with this and when I asked your staff about it, they responded with "did you have insurance?".Unfortunately we did not purchase the optional insurance when renting the unit. We did not realize this was a problem and if I had known your facility was infested with mice, I wouldn't have done buisness there let alone bought insurance. Your staff needs to be better trained and perhaps educated on hantavirus and it's effects. To me insurance is for things like , theft, fire, floods. Not mice!! I will never use this facility again or recommend it.

My vehicle was parked in the storage facility on Oct 16/19 to Apr 14/20. The storage space couldn't have been dirtier when I picked up my van. It is the dirtiest it has ever been since owning it for the past 21 years. Everything in that facility was covered with thick construction dust. Every customer that used/using this place deserves a refund or rebate for the treatment their vehicles have suffered. The owner should be ashamed of how their customers have been treated. Absolutely disgusting!! The only thing that should be stored there is piles of dirt or gravel.

I would like to talk to anyone from head office regarding my experience this winter. Last fall I rented a 40' space for my boat to be parked in over the winter as I do every year. I was delayed by a month to move my boat in my spot as someone else was using the spot to park in even so I had already paid for the space. Every time I went to check if the unit was ready it wasn't and in turn I paid for a month of storage 326 $and wasn't able to use the space. I asked the manager to let the people know that were parked in my spot that I would like them to pay for that month, he said he would look into it but he never called me back. Over the winter there was significant construction in the building and extreme amounts of dirt and dust in the building. Between my boat and my car I had just over 500 000 $worth of stuff in the unit which was completely covered in an inch of dirt and dust. I have a huge cleaning bill now due to the construction that was done inside the building over the winter it would have been nice to have been advised this was happening so myself and everyone else storing stuff could've made other arrangements or at least cover our possessions up to avoid this mess. I store my boat there for 6 months every winter, each spring i pull it out and the local staff fails to terminate my storage, and you continue billing me, atempts to resolve issue are a nightmare!

I didn't use the facility.I don't live in Kelowna. I live in Kamloops.I was told uboxes were to arrive between 8am-12pm. Boxes arrived at 2:15pm. VERY DISSATISFIED! Never received a call for new time.

Move out was quick and easy. Moving in on the other hand was stressful as one of the young guys working there had no clue how to do his job. For that reason, I wouldn't recommend this location.

The facility is a mess. Construction going on constantly so contractors have access to the contents in storage. No one in charge, can never find my file due to what looks like a bad computer system.

The only thing I would change is communication - a lot of the time I would call and get transferred to the head office in the states and they wouldn't communicate with the location in Canada.
