Well I had a 12:00pm Reservation and I did not leave this location until about 12:35 PM I do not understand why you took so long because there was only one person already getting help at the counter. Then to top it off I finally got in the truck I left the location in a minute into driving gas gauge was on P and said 50 miles until empty but on the contract they marked that there was over a quarter of a tank but on the gauge it was way less than that so I return the truck on a quarter of a tank because someone said that I would get reimbursed for doing that and I did not.

Every one was friendly and helpful that I personally interacted with at Uhaul. However, there is an enormous discrepancy between the quoted price and the price at final invoice. I am a Ph.D. student. This discrepancy between what I was quoted and what was billed is not due to my misunderstanding of the terms. Now, while tired after the stress and effort typical of moving, I have to deal with Uhaul's inability to accurately invoice - and try to get money returned to me that was basically stolen punitively by Uhaul through false claims on billing. I hope this was just an honest mistake that can be fixed, but still, even in that best case scenario, I'm out the time and stress to go about fighting to get it fixed..

I picked my truck and had to wait almost 45 minutes to receive my truck. The truck was not clean. The bed was covered in some kind of slick graphite-like oil and above the cab were 6 pieces of glass. I almost slipped on the oil while placing my first box. My friend and I had to clean and dry the floor before using the truck at all, putting us back almost an hour. Then it took us a half hour to clean up the rust colored liquid and left over pieces of glass left from the previous user(s). It set back my whole day. I was also only given 1/4 tank of gas (around 70 miles of driving distance) when I picked up the truck. I had to get gas mid trip - which set me back another twenty minutes. My one-way trip was over 100 miles. I am deeply disturbed by the lack of thought into giving a customer a full tank (or at least adequate amount) of gasoline before beginning a trip, not cleaning the truck fully and making a customer wait for than 45 minutes. There was another customer who came in for propane who was there before me and there were two other female staff members drinking blue Gatorade and not helping him - while talking on their phones. Then when I arrived at my final destination (10 minutes before my 24 hours were up) I was charged for an extra day, liability insurance, and rental fee. I told the San Rafael attendant and he corrected the overage charges, but I had to ask. Overall, I felt inadequately supported in my goal which was to have a clean truck, an adequate amount of gas for my trip (pre-move) and decent human beings helping me on either end. I will hopefully never need to move again or require any large truck ever again however if I do - I will not be using your vehicles, products, or services ever again and will use social media to denounce your service as unusable and unprofessional. Please do what you can to remedy the situation.

Pre trip the vehicle prior to doing the paper work. Also you may want to drive the vehicle. The first time was great but the second truck seemed to have some issues with the transmission or carburetor it just wasn't changing gears properly but still when you need a truck the price isn't so bad up there but doable

Homeless people all over the lot. Crappy Uhaul app sent me into a drug infested drop off that was closed. It was midnight. Looked like a junk yard and not a UHAUL location. I had two elderley women following me in a car. They were petrified. Uhaul App would not let me change drop otf locations. SUX. Later, homeless people used a magnet and stole the truck from the Florin yard. I went to the Florin location and they said it was not on their lot. They also said they get stolen all the time. If I jknew that, I would never have put $75 in gas into it to fill it up. We are using our pickups and vans to move these ladies. No more UHAUL

Then, the pickup location drew up the paperwork showing I was to deliver the reserved equipment to South Sacramento, after I had reiterated WEST Sacramento. The return to West Sacramento was denied and I was ordered to return the reserved equipment to another location, again miles out of the way. I am VERY unsatisfied and disturbed with my experience!

No instruction on operating instrumentation and controls. Difficulty returning vehicle after hours with online express return that would not accept uploaded photos and gave no other option.

The only real issue I had was that the fuel was not where it was suppose to be. I drove maybe 2 blocks and the fuel light came on. Then when I put more fuel in I watch the fuel gauge drop pretty quickly. Other than that the customer service was okay.

Employees were nice at this location, but I will never rent from Uhaul again. The reservation system sent me to 3 different stores (3 hours worth of driving) to pick up the Uhaul truck I had reserved weeks before. The customer service representatives were horribly rude and just didn't give a crap about the huge inconvenience and stress they subjected me to. Also the gas was siphoned before I received the truck, so not only was it on empty when I received it, but I was charged a fuel fee even though the clerk said he would make note in their system. I had to dispute the fee, but save yourself the stress, rent from ANYONE else.

I showed up 15 minutes prior to my appointment and waited over an hour before being given a truck with an empty fuel tank. When I tried to add fuel I realized the fuel lines had been cut. I returned the truck and was told the charges would be reversed. My information was never taken off the truck and I was charged for another rental, plus extra mileage. After filing a CUSTOMER ACTION FILE, I was finally refunded the full amount, about a month later. I never once received a phone call, or email, by the store, general manager of the store, customer service, or the district office even after making multiple calls to each. Unfortunately, I will be renting another truck &/or trailer soon. This has been my only bad experience with the company, and I may look into other companies.

My reservation was not ready...twice in one day. I ordered a 15' at location 1 five days in advance and they failed to let me know it was unavailable and I drove 30 minutes for nothing. Then, it took them 4 hours to find me another truck near by...and when I reserved that truck, it wasnt available either. I went from ordering a 15 foot truck which would have taken me 3 hours to move, to getting a pick up truck which took me 12 hours to move (out of town). I am very let down by Uhaul

Get competent help at this location. They did not have the equipment I had reserved a month prior forcing me to make an unplanned stop at another location to get what they didn't have forcing me to be an hour late and lose $70 to the movers that I had scheduled through UHaul. Then they lost the truck after I turned it in and started accusing me of still having it a week after I was done with my move. NOT a good experience. This will be the last time I use UHaul.

Fuel lines on trucks were cut- so most of the trucks that customers had reserved, weren’t available. We were lucky to get a van, but having a smaller truck increased the amount of trips, which in turn cost us more money. The employee who checked us out, showed up late, and didn’t do a vehicle inspection prior to giving us the keys. Understaffed and poor security. We will never rent from this facility again.

The trailer I rented this time had mud caked all over both wheel wells. Only one employee showed up for work the day I rented so the wait time took a while even though I had completed the paperwork on-line ahead of time. I returned the trailer the same day I rented it cleaner than I took it but received a bill receipt two days later stating I returned it that afternoon at 1:30 and was billed for an extra day. I both called and emailed to correct the air. I finally got through to an agent at a different location who could not make the adjustment because the location I rented from is not answering the telephone. I will go down to the location tomorrow and get this handled myself.

I was given a truck on Empty and told that if I returned it I'd receive a gas credit applied to my final bill. I drove to the corner and tried filling the gas tank which I quickly noticed was pouring out of the bottom of the truck. There was gasoline all over me and all over the ground at the gas station. I was afraid to turn the truck back on to return it to the location. I spoke with the GM Izaiah and he was very apologetic and let me know that the gas lines had been cut on the vehicle. He was the only person working the entire store and the times were delayed and I don't think it was even possible that the truck was accurately inspected. He gave me a larger truck at the same rate and gave me a credit for the gas I spent trying to fill the truck. He was as helpful as he could be and that isn't the issue here. The issue is that I was given a truck with this problem in the first place. It was 100% unsafe and a very scary experience and unacceptable. I hope that someone contacts me to discuss this matter.

I had a really great expertience. This is my favorite location as well. The gentleman who assisted me with my order had only been with the company for a couple of months yet he was friendly and helpful. His manager seemed like a very nice guy as well. I preregistered my vehicle and reserved the trailer i needed online. When I returned it they were busy, yet they had my receipt ready and I was out the door in no time at all. The only area of improvement would be if I do all of the paperwork ahead of time, why do I have to go through all of the steps again when I arrive to pick it up. I recieved a truck with the fuel tank with holes in them. They gave it to me E had to go a couple of miles to a gas station paid$10 & had gas spill all over my feet & pants. Went back and gave me a truck with less than quarter of a tank. Had to rush to get to 2 different storage units and then was charged $44 & wasnt offered a discount for my troubles and time. I only went 15 miles but i didnt have a truck waiting for me when i had reserved a unit for 3 pm. I wasted 1 hour of my time because this location is not even average.

The truck has no gas. It would not start. Took an hour for someone to go get gas so I could leave. This out be behind and my PAID mover waiting for me. He only put in 2 gallons. Enough so I could go put in more right away off the start of take off. Didn’t have the moving pads I ordered. Got hone only to find the truck was covered on white stuff all in the back box after unlocking it. Had to sweep and mop before i could put my stuff in. The worse experience I’ve every had with U-Haul!!

I went a set up a delivery pick up for a 19.99 truck with no insurance my miles wasn’t far from new home. The total came to 37.00 then I read my statement and I was charged 98.87 and don’t understand why that’s a flaw and I don’t like it return time was 11:00 and I was complete in two hours pick up was 7 please do the math somebody getting over on innocent customers and that was all I had left from the move now my bank card are negative thanks but no thanks someone should call for reinbursment 209-645-9840 and if I get no call this is a waste of time nobody reads your customers feed back please don’t waste my money and time too Friday 21st at 7:00 pm florin Sacramento ca thank you

Two hour wait despite doing the Pre-check. I do not blame the employees I encountered, I fully believe that they we're doing the best they can. I will not be using Uhaul again. Why, if I was on time for my reservation but spent 2 hours waiting to get my trailer, would my 6 hours not start when I get the trailer? You run a monopoly and don't give a shit about the customers you Lord over. Your corporate, soul sucking, capitalist company is everything that's wrong with this country. Eat the rich.

Worst experience I've ever had at any rental place. So slow. The person helping me had to call their boss about 4 times while doing my transaction, which was just a dolly rental. He left me and started helping someone else at one point. I was quoted and have a receipt for $10 and was charged $20. I've used uhaul every time I moved, whether across town or across the country, but never again. Literally not worth it. That experience ruined it for me.

The location didn't tell me about the app that I could use to check in the van, the guy who helped me with my rental didn't know where the gas tank was and when I returned the van I filled the tank up to half a tank and then got charged for not filling up the tank to a half thank. I called the location after I received my receipt and was on hold for 20 minutes. I called later on in the day and some dude finally answered the phone and asked me if I could hold a minute. I told him that I was placed on the hold for 20 minutes and then he put me on hold for another 15 minutes. I called another 10 times and no one ever picked up the phone. So I had to call corporate to resolve the issue. The Florin Road location should have everyone fired for such horrible customer service. Next time I will go to another location. A barnyard animal could provide better customer service.

We were told that the truck we reserved wasn't available just because the key wasn't on the hook. The manager just assumed someone cut the fuel line. The manager started to try to find us another uhaul location when they figured out the key was in the truck the whole time. It would be helpful to check the lot before you tell the customer that the truck they reserved isn't available.

I walk in both of the of the tellers are on their phones watching videos on instagram. No one greets me or says hello. I eventually have to engage and ask for service. I requested a 26’ truck and all of the 26’ trucks were all on empty and were unavailable. They offer me a 20’ truck which is also almost on empty. I requested to speak to the manager and got no response. Do not go here! Go somewhere else. These people suck and uhaul needs to whip this place back into shape. Horrible

hello, I dropped my Uhaul off on Sunday May 5th around 730pm. I don't remember the names of the employees there but there was a younger black employee working outside and an older white male employee working inside the front counter. As I parked the Uhaul under spot I needed to I didn't see anyone around that area so I walked up to the front of the office's front door. As I almost reached half way to the front door this younger black employee yell," hey, let me get your keys!" so I threw it at him he caught it took the truck. I walked into the office and the older white employee was taking out trash, I waited a few seconds then he told me he'd be with me in a bit. Once he was done he asked what can he do for me. I told him I just dropped off the Uhaul and the older white guy says, "ok that's it". I got confused and asked,"that's it?" and he says "yes". As I was leaving I realized I had to pay for going over the my mileages so I came back to him and asked him about my mileages. His reply in a rude tone was," what about your miles?" I told him I'd gone over and needed to pay. Then he replied in a rude tone,' I don't know go ask the guy outside." I left almost got to the front door and told him he was being rude and not helpful at all. He said that that's how you guys do it, i took his name down and left outside to ask the young black employee about my mileages. I go and find him and asked him about my mileage, this is funny you are going to love this. The young black employee says he doesn't know or was aware of my mileages but the charges should be inside. He says I had to go inside and talk to the white guy, as this was going on the older white employee opens the side door of your office and listens in. I look at him and said," see, he doesn't even know!" The young black employee then tells the older white employee to look it up. As I'm now following the older white employee inside I told him he was very unprofessional, and this could of all been avoided if he had just ,"ASKED" questions about my issue and now just send me out to someone else. OK i get it its almost 8pm and closing time the white employee is doing all the closing cleaning but damn help a paying customer please. I've been in retail all my life, bad bad case of customer service!!!

The truck was so dirty that I was required to stop at a gas station and wash the windshield. The tank was empty after I was asked to sign a paper saying it was full. I was promised a $45 reimbursement to bring the tank back 1/4 full and I did not receive the reimbursement. It was a terrible experience, and I will be sure to tell all to stay away.

I had to rent because you haven't finished the hitch I bought and had installed. It's been a month, and I have paid for something I can't use. I was told I will be able to get a significant discount, at the return. Trying to get ahold of anyone is almost non existent, and the main headquarters just pushes me through to the branch, who can't help me, or say they'll call me back, but won't. When I go to return the truck, I asked for the manager, and he's gone. So this employee proceeds to charge my card credit card without telling me how much. I'm furious when I see my credit card statement. You guys are the ones that messed up. I should not have to pay this.

My friend and I had scheduled a 20ft. truck to complete our Move on Sunday @ 8 a.m. Literally at 7:45 am (while we were driving to the location),we received an email saying the specific truck would be moved and available at a different location (mind you this location would be 21miles from my house, while being hit per mile rate). And, the location. Wouldn’t open until after 9 (we had an obligation to move at 8:15. The lady at the front however was helpful by trying to find us a truck at a closer location but that didn’t work. Every truck was booked for the day. The only option left was a 10ft truck... we were stuck getting that one, and having to make 2 trips through the move, doubling our mileage etc etc. what I estimated 30-40miles originally turned Into 81 miles for the move. Also was told trucks fuel was at 1/4. It was liter Nearing 1/8 almost when turned on. Not a big deal on that one, but just an FYI

I was over charged, and treated like I was a common criminal for being late, even though I was in constant contact, and got and an extension from the office. Then they went as far as trying to put down false charges under cleaning charges for $50, but said it was for taking an extra day. My bill should reflect that then. The bill doesn't make any sense, but it sure looks like I got ripped off. I barely used the truck and they are saying I drove ii miles. Hard to believe when it had park and wait for furniture I bought to be ready to be picked up.
