The truck was fine but reeked with the smell of dope in the cab and the cargo area. The Uhaul rep said a previous customer had issues and charged him 1 000 $to try and clean it out. The truck shoukd be scrapped out.

Strongly recommend this location. Victor, the Gen. Manager, helped me out after having a really bad experience at another local storage facility that supplied uhaul trucks. He was able to get me a truck on the spot, and during a Saturday at 11am. Really great service. Store was organized and clean. There was another customer being a over the top and the team kept calm, and took care of them. I will forever be using this shop.

Made a appointment for 1:30 PM 12-12-20 with U-haul for a 15 Truck. Arrived about 1:15 that day and was told there were no 15 trucks available. Luckily they had a 10' truck as I had several people waiting at the home to move. I called and confirmed with your 800 number and was told it should be there. After waiting for a long period of time and being cut off twice. I realize things happen, but on the other hand this cost me extra time, money and heart burn. I was told when I returned the truck to drop the keys in the drop box and complete the return online. Well I couldn't check the actual mileage because I had already locked the door. I think someone could have explained the check in a little better.

I RESERVED A 15' TRUCK AND 2 FLOOR DOLLIES ONLINE. I SUBMITTED CC CARD AND CDL TO ENSURE A QUICK PICKUP. FIRST, NO FLOOR DOLLIES WERE AVAILABLE WHICH MADE MY MOVE LABOR MUCH MORE LONGER AND DIFFICULT. SECOND, THE TRUCK WREAKED OF MARIJUANA THIRD, THE ONLINE RESERVATION IS BULLSHIT. CUSTOMERS THAT CAME IN AFTER ME WERE GETTING OUT FASTER THAN ME. DON'T BOTHER RESERVING ONLINE. JUST GO EARLY.

In short: this location is insecure and the staff here didn't gave me incorrect information about my rental equipment and did not practice social distancing during a pandemic (did not wear a mask around me). I reserved a 1-way truck and auto tow to be picked up at this location because there were no trucks available at the Woodland location where my storage box was. The staff here gave me incorrect information about the equipment, saying that I couldn't tow my car with the empty truck; I'd have to take the truck to Woodland, pack the truck full and then drive it back to this location to pick up my car (instead of just towing my car to Woodland with me). This cost me an extra 38 miles and extra couple hours of my time during an already stressful move.

Let me be clear to start with my issue is with Uhaul not with this exact store. The only issue with the truck was the windshield was filthy and I had to clean it before safely driving but as you'll see that maybe wasn't entirely their fault. I made this reservation 2+ weeks in advance. The reservation site indicated my selected pick up store did not have the truck in stock that I needed and that I would be contacted the day before to discuss/ confirm what's next. I've used uhaul many times and this did not alarm me as I've had this situation before and usually it just means a different near by location or choosing a larger or smaller vehicle all of which would be fine. I reserved to pick up in Fairfield, Ca which has 3 nearby uhaul locations not to mention several nearby towns with locations. A little over a week before the move my Mother-in-law kindly offers to pay for the truck we call to pay and again state we need to pick up in Fairfield. The day before I get a confirmation call simply confirming I'm picking up a 10' Truck for a one-way trip to Oakhurst. Yep no problem see you tomorrow. Now comes the moving day from hell. We (my partner our daughter and I) head out to get the truck and realize no one told us what location. So we call customer service to ask. The customer service rep tells us Sacramento and when we begin to explain that that's not right she abruptly without warning us cold transfers us to someone name Cherise. I try to calmly explain to Cherise that Sacramento is significantly out of our way and ask about other options. I explain that Sacramento is 60-90min away so even in the best of circumstances that's 2hrs out of my moving day and of course situations like this never go ideally. She basically accuses me of lying about how far the drive is (which side note I did this drive every day for 6 months for work in the past I know the drive) she points out that it's 35 miles away from my selected location and there's no way it takes that long. I later learn Cherise ironically works in traffic control, maybe that's not the right place for someone who doesn't understand Northern California/Bay area traffic. She proceeds to robotically stick to her guns and insist the only way I'm getting a truck is to drive to Sacramento. I ask about a different size truck, I ask about Vacaville, Vallejo, Davis, anywhere closer, I try everything and she just unapologetically states over and over the address of the Sacramento location and that I must go there or cancel. No apology for inconvenience no compassion absolutely NO customer service. Did I get frustrated and raise my voice absolutely after the 3rd or 4th time of her repeating herself and refusing to listen or offer better solutions. But I was not confrontational or hostile as I was later described. Finally after getting no where and needing to move I tell her I will be at the Sacramento store at noon after she again insults me and suggest I'm exaggerating the distance and suggests I can get there by 11. She then tells me she's adding 40 miles to my mileage allotment as though that's some big favor she's doing me and not the bare minimum she can do seeing as that's how far off course I have to go to get the truck. I stress I will arrive a noon I confirm the location and then we begin restructuring our busy day to include a 2+hour detour. I go all the way to Sacramento and surprise! More problems. They don't have a reservation for me or a truck. Stacy does the best he can to figure it out as I grow increasingly frustrated (I'm exhausted already from dealing with this mess and I still have a truck to load and a 4hr drive to Oakhurst with said truck ahead of me. That's when the manager Victor steps in. He discovers Cherise canceled my reservation and refunded my mother-in-law's card. He tells me Cherise noted me as hostile and swearing at her and that I adamantly refused to drive to Sacramento. Sure at one point I told her this was BS but that's it for "swearing." Victor found me a truck and began the process of fixing the problem. Thankfully my mother-in-law expected there may be further issues with uhaul since we had other issues with our truck the prior week as well. She came in and paid AGAIN for the truck. As he was fixing my reservation more issues arrive. No hand cart although we reserved and paid for that 2 weeks ago too, no drop off information he informs me I'll have to call for that on drop off day. Mind you there is only one drop off place in Oakhurst anything else would require many more miles. Thankfully that got resolved later that day (kinda see below) Victor gave me suggestions on fixing my problems from the previous weeks uhaul and kindly got me on my way business card in hand to call him if there were any more problems. Finally 3hrs behind schedule we begin our move. At this point if uhaul can't at the very least offer a sincere apology and attempt to make this right I'm done with them. We've paid over 1 000 $to uhaul in the course of this move. Like I said I've used them many times before as well. However now I'm thinking Budget or Penske look better and I'll tell my friends.

Vehicle was filthy inside, wind/windows dirty & tank was at 1/4. Had to immediately to to a gas station to add fuel and clean up with windows. Pickup process needs to be improved especially if you already have an online paid reservation. Waste of time including having to get in another line at the return.

We left forgot a comforter in the back of the cargo van. When I called to check next day, they told me it was thrown out. I know it was my fault but it would have been nice if I got a notification or at least wait a day or two. It was an expensive comforter n my wife was not happy.

The staff I worked with (rental and return) were both very nice and accommodating. I did not select the 14 $insurance when I booked and checked in online, but it was somehow added to my bill. Fortunately I noticed it before leaving the lot and followed up when I returned the truck. I'd recommend staff to confirm with the customers in the future to avoid unnecessary. On the other hand, the utility dolly I rented had a broken strap to begin with and it was too late to exchange by the time I noticed it . So I had to buy some straps from a hardware store, otherwise the dolly wouldn't have been useful.

Victor was awesome I was helped as soon as i wLked in the store! It was quick and easy to rent my storage unit. I was taken to the unit to make sure it was sufficient and clean. I was given Victor's business cards and told to contact him if i needed anything at all. I will definitely use uhaul again.

When trying to "check in" via internet, the U-Haul website was very glitchy. If the speed bumps can be addressed I think it would make the overall experience much more appealing to your customers.

My reservation was canceled. To the staff's defense 2 call were made. No voicemail left, no text or email. I don't return to call to a un identified number. At 1st they didn't seem to be bothered that the truck was canceled. Another employer took the time and found a available truck. It was smaller than what I had requested, but I made it work for half the job that I needed to do. After driving 2 1/2 hours. Unfortunately I was not able to complete the job.

After I pulled in and was being taken care of, a man pulled in with a trailer and waited to be serviced. A group with a truck pulled in to the right-hand side of him. They were checked in first. The yard man made no effort to see who was there first, so they could be taken care of, in proper order. The man with the trailer was furious. I can't blame him. My service was great. Not his.

Initial reservation was at different location, reservation only held for an hour even if I reserved for the day. Trailer given away after said hour and had to get from across town instead. Should have been more clear on pickup time necessity. Other than that inconvenience it was a smooth transaction

Make the “ return truck” feature more easy and accessible. I was unable to locate my reservation or contract number nothing via the app or online. I called customer service after hours was on hold for 30 min and no luck. So, I had to write a note and inserted the key with the note in the drop box explaining this hoping I wouldn't get charged extra. In the end I got charged 84,03 $. I'm pregnant and it was around 9:30pm last night when I went to return the truck and took me an hour just sitting there searching for a way to return the truck and get my receipt. No luck. No one called me today for the inconvenience. I left my contact info and everything.

When returning U-Haul trucks they need some body standing there to help assist right away I wish the truck that I had reservations for which was the 10 I wish it had a ramp attached to the truck to make it easier to put your furniture inside the truck but I know you guys have bigger trucks that does have it but when you don't want a big truck and you want a smaller size I would like to see a ramp thank you.

Follow through with complete reservation. I paid over 4 hundred dollars for a u haul and another 250 in gas to get to Sacramento to find out my st I rage was not available at the place I was dropping the truck off. They sent me to a satellite storage where there was no attendant . Could not store my belongings. So I had to put my things in a friend's garage, worst until experience evet.

The reason I am rating it 5 stars is because the manager had his staff call out on him on 4th of July and he was running the whole place himself. Trucks, storage, phone calls, everything! Yes it was a long wait, but he was working his butt off. He was polite and got what we needed done as quick as possible. The general manager deserves a raise!

The General manager name Vernon I suppose that's his name credentials need to be re-evaluated as a general manager he has poor management skills, and needs to go back to school to know how to compose an Eviction letter and learn the protocols. I was serve a 30 day notice and then he locks me out my storage unit which was paid in FULL FOR THE MONTH AND HE WAS LITERALLY HOSTILE TOWARD ME, THEN INSISTING FOR ME TO SIGN IN AND OUT ON TO A SIGN IN SHEET AND THEN DENIED ME OF ACCESS ONTO THE PREMISES ALL WITHIN THE SAME DAY OF AN EVICTION NOTICE HE PROVIDED TO ME WITH MULTIPLE OF ERRORS ON THE EVICTION LETTER. HE NEEDS TO BE DEMOTED IN MY OPINION. NOT ABLE TO SPELL CORRECTLY ON THE EVICTION LETTER HE HAD PROVIDED FOR ME. I DID REQUEST HIM TO PROVIDE ME WITH THE OWNER OF BUSINESS NAME AND PHONE NUMBER, HE REFUSED TO GIVE THAT INFORMATION TO ME AND BECAME HOSTILE TOWARD ME. I DIDN'T APPRECIATE HOW HE APPROACHED ME AND HANDLE THE MATTER WITH ME AS A CUSTOMER. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH YOUR COMPANY EVER AGAIN  AND I DID REMOVE MYSELF OFF THE PREMISES THE NEXT FOLLOWING DAY. On sunday, I came to open my storage for the 1st time and unfortunately it was understaffed but Victor did his very best to accommodate every customer that he can when by himself, Victor did an excellent job on providing me his assistance when I have trouble with the key card multiple times but he still assisted me when it was busy and by himself. I advise the company should at least have 2 worker on sunday so that Victor can at least a have break, poor guy was running around doing everything himself with no help. He deserves a raise.

The worse weekend ever. I was there four days in a row. Friday, find out they cut my storage lock and replace it. But, when asked why, one could tell me. Saturday, wasted a lot of time because Victor doesn't know how to communicate. Ordered a Ubox and truck. But failed to tell me I had to pull my own Ubox to my storage. When specifically ask them to drop it at my storage unit 603 when I placeed my reservation. So I wasted 2 hours thinking they were going to drop it off. To find out after asking 3 times when was they going to bring it. Then I wasted another 30 minutes trying to get my U-Box. In which Victor try to charge me for the trailer that the U-box was on. After my U-Box was all filled and ready to go. Because of the 2 and half hour delay the 4 hours I rented the truck for ended up being 24 hours with miles that I didn't plan on paying for. Because we didn't finish until 6:15 p.m. Mind you all my reservations was for 12 p.m. truck was reserved from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Top it off my U-Box sat in an open space in the parking lot in front of the office for 2 days. It was supposed to be picked up and transported to Arden on Sunday the 1st. The next day. When I went back on Monday it was still there and there was no information on my U-Box being picked up at all. Call Chris Trudell with No response. After Isaiah made several calls he was able to help me and get my U-Box where it needed to go. (Arden) Honestly, If it wasn't for Isaiah I would have lost it!! He went above and beyond for me to make sure I was taken care of.

Overall excellent experience. The only negative was that I was required to purchase & use the U-haul lock which was not return-able upon move-out. Now I have a 13 $lock that I have no use for.

Staff is not helpful specially we reserve a truck before online and when we get there staff told me is reserve on someone else how that could be happen??? we end up going Lodi Ca. to get are rental..

Reserved a trailer days in advance. When it came time to pick it up it was not available. There were NONE available within a 25 mile radius. Has to rent a truck for over 2x the cost, no discount.

Only one person knows how to work on reservation. It was more than 8 people waiting in the line. I waited for 30 minutes in the line and I was 2nd in line. Than I drove to the unit and no one showed

This U-Haul location has been the best. The storage facility was exactly what I needed and the cost was quite reasonable. The staff were always professional and customer service oriented.

Yes but there was a mouse problem there. Immediately noticed the rodent catcher in my unit and a dead mouse outside my unit. Seems they are trying to get a handle on it. Not complaining for free unit.
