Firstly, I returned a 26 ft truck at the 23 hour mark on Thanksgiving 11/25/21. Employee there was letting me go without receipt until I asked for one. He proceeded to act as if he were processing my return and stated my receipt will be emailed shortly. Today, 11/27/21, I received a receipt showing I returned the vehicle on 11/26/21 at 8pm. I was charged for three days. After a phone call and a visit in, the issue was corrected. I'd suggest requesting a receipt immediately.Martin Z.
Speed up the process , cashier was talking to other employees while the customer line was getting long. I was not given the truck that was reserved when reservation was done. Not sure if that's company policy. I was told that because i was not a resident of the area. Given that it was done same pick/up & delivery.ALICIA S.

Hi I didn't understand why ? He took a picture of my card and then when asked he stated he do that, but when I asked so why are you using it By hand in the computer 樂樂樂樂we do both he said. Explain why no answer. My card to go into the building didn't work. They tried with no idea why. So she tossed by card in the trash. She wanted 6 numbers and I asked for information on how to get in she said * then the six numbers then#. That didn't work . Waited in line for over an hour and 15 minutes after checking in online and having prior reservations. Pretty rough. Got there at 7:55 for a trailer pickup and didn't leave until 9:30!!!Phillip B.

The original drop off location, based on address did not exist, I went to two other u-haul locations, one did not perform the service any longer and the other did not accept that size vehicle. So I went to three locations, before going to a 4th to drop off my rental vehicle. At that location, the service was excellent and seamless. Thank you. v/r DavidDAVID H.

The employees need to act like they want their jobs. Most were rude and did not seem like they cared about the job they were doing. Both rentals were dirty. I had to clean them out before we loaded our furniture. I had to hunt someone down the get my trailer hooked up. The process took a long time even though I pre-registered online prior.scott D.

I booked uhaul to be picked up at Ben Auto care in Rancho Cucamonga via 24/7 pick up at 3:30 am on 11/16/21. I sent a message to the local store to confirm the 3:30 am pick up. I also called customer service to make sure there would no issue to pick up at 3:30 am. When we showed up at 3:10 am on 11/16/21, we couldn't pick up the vehicle. I had to called customer service, they sent me to Fontana location. It costed me time and more mileage to pick up the vehicle from a different location than I originally selected. I have bad experiences and trouble in the past picking up the vehicles early in the morning, but this time is the worst.Edward N.

Customer care. It took one person almost 45 minutes to hook up the trailer to my truck and I've been there countless times with the same vehicle so it was a matter of inexperience. When dropping off the equipment, no one wanted to be available to come out and receive the trailer. I had to go in and wait for someone to help although I was the only customer on the property at 3pm.john L.
Customer service counter personnel are dry and very slow. No personality as I was talking to a robot. I've been going to the Fontana site for years. Please hire more friendly staff.ESPERANZA T.
The whole experience was a nightmare. The website made it seem like making the reservation online would streamline things but it absolutely did not. I spent an hour trying to get the truck, the first number for the truck it gave me to look for I couldn't find and it was such a waste of time. I finally gave up and requested a new one and the second one I found so I uploaded the Drivers License photos and give all my info for it to say to go inside and skip the line and get my key so I get inside and there's a line of people with just one cashier and then I see another woman employee walk up to the registers so I go up to her and show her the email and she says I still have to wait in the long line to just get the key. And the customer taking up the whole line didn't know how to work his phone or take pictures so it took an extra 20 minutes before I went back up to the register to just request the key. The staff member was obviously not happy to be there, had me wait while she continued arguing with the customer on what to do and then another 10 minutes pass by before I can just get the key and leave. The best part of the reservation was the moving company that I booked along with it but they're not under uhaul. The truck itself was great but 2-10 would choose a different location next timeNazira T.

I had a reservation to pick up a trailer at 3:30pm, the person helping me was new and didn't know anything about the system. It took almost an hour for me to get the trailer that I requested. It put me behind my schedule for more than 3 hours, I was caught in traffic and ended up turning in the trailer about an hour late.OSBALDO R.

I am giving this rating based on using the app to check in and pickup the truck, otherwise it would have been a poor experience. The location is very busy, only 1 employee was helping behind the counter. He was doing a great job serving 3 people at once. The line was too long . The lady outside could not answer a simple question I had, I do not believe she spoke English. The experience would have been a nightmare if i did not use the app to self check in and pick up the truck!!Antoine F.
Have personnel available to check in returned rentals. I waited 20 min before I just left the keys in the cab and left. I even turned it in during opened hours do there really is no excuse.ROBERT H.
Overall it was good but drop off directions via the website weren't accurate. After finishing my online drop off a staff member told us we had to move the truck or we'd possibly be charged more. We followed the online drop off directions so this attitude was not appreciated. There needs to be better synchronization between the location and the fully online system.Darrell A.

I reserved online to avoid going into the store. I had to wait an hour to get my reservation. Customer service was terrible, every was rude and either had no idea how to help or refused to help. At 34 weeks pregnant, they had me wait outside as a worker walked around the entire facility looking to â€œCalvinâ€ who had the keys to the truck. Apparently, he had gone to lunch with the keys. U Haul representative was unprofessional and complaining about her job. My rental was "down" at time of pickup and I was not giving advanced notice. Luckily, it only needed an oil change.Danny O.
Jose has excellent customer service skills and would probably be the only reason I would use that particular store again. I ordered a 26 feet Moving truck it was very clean. However it had no fuel so I had to go right to the gas station. While driving at the front end suspension was so horrible and that it vibrated and threw me into the lane next to me. It appeared As if all the bushings and rods were missing The steering and alignment to have dangerous play!DERWIN C.

This has been an awful experience. I am very upset. I had my reservation canceled for unknown reasons. When I asked why my rental was canceled, they would hang up on me after having me on hold for 20mins. This rental was for a job and the last minute cancellation notice affected me financially. U-Haul's very competitive, perhaps best, prices while not imposing a greedy move-in fee is a refreshing surprise. Getting stuff into my 2nd-floor unit without an elevator was a bit awkward, but I'm a better man --pumping iron-- without the noise, and I likely saved time. The office person forgot to give me a map of the units in the hallways, and there's no arrowed marquee and no unit numbers marked at each of the numerous halls of units and stairways leading to the 2nd-floor halls. The card swipe entry is fickle as it doesn't work on the first few swipes. Alas alack, the facility has only one dolly.David F. | Premières impressions
