This has nothing to do with the facility. Instead, it was the fault of the person at the call center who made the reservation. I asked specifically for a 2 inch hitch and she made the reservation for a 1.25 inch hitch. We were then charged to remove the hitch after it was installed.

The box came 2 days late. No one seemed to know where it was or why it had not arrived. I talked to several people and many of the people said different things to me about filing a claim. I had to call the store myself to have them find the U-box. (Meaning if I hadn't taken the initiative to call it might have been a few more days before my box was found). In addition, I was charged an extra months rent, this was taken care of but there should have been a way for this to be overrided in the system to stop this from even being charged in the first place.

We had a lot of confusion regarding the return of the truck keys. We dropped the keys in the return box after hours and were contacted the next day stating that the keys were lost. I spent hours on the phone with UHaul, trying to get a hold of the manager, who finally found the keys in the drop box. More organization would be appreciated.

It was a busy day (Saturday morning) and apparently there was an issue with someone else's reservation. Another customer was also having some sort of issue. That meant there was only one line moving and a line developed. I waited approximately 15 minutes to be waited on. I'm sure that doesn't occur often but it did to me. That being said, once I was waited on MY checkout was handled very proficiently and the person who waited on me was very personable. The cargo van I rented was great. Check in was very quick and hassle free. The only reason I didn't give an excellent rating was because of the 15 minute wait but other than that I was very pleased with my experience and will definitely use this location again when the need arises.

The manager was the only one who knew how to do everything and he was working like crazy answering everyone’s questions and doing everything. All other employees seemed new and not sure what to do, manager was trying to train them on the fly. Our trailer had non working tail light had to hook up to another trailer and then we’re told that wasn’t the right one so had to drive to another trailer and get hooked up for third time. They forgot my utility cart and covers I ordered also. Manager needs HELP or clone him about a hundred times as he can’t do it all even though he was working as hard and efficiently as possible.

My name is Michael Posey. I've been a uhaul customer for over 20yrs. I've always appreciated and been pleased with the convince of their service. My son started as a freshman at the university of Akron 2017. I turned to uhaul for their services to get him and his things moved onto campus safely. Once his year was over I needed uhaul services to bring him and his belongings home safely. He just finished his 2nd year and I rented a van on may 11 2019 to bring him home. I only rented the van for one day and I was supposed to return it on may the 12th 2019. I turned the van in that same night on May the 11th when I returned back to Cincinnati. The rate that I was supposed to be charged was on the contract at 209.26 When I looked at my bank statement that Monday. I saw that I was charged a additional 128.77. When I first called the representative could not tell me anything. I called later on that day and I talked with a representative by the name of Lawrence. He told me that it was all a mistake. That a new guy had written up the paper work and that how I was over charged. That he would reverse the whole transaction and once I saw the money reversed that I was responsible to come back to uhaul so that they could charge me for the original transaction of 209.26. He also said that if I did not come back and pay the 209 after he reversed the charges I would be charged through some creditor for a promissory fee or something. I forgot to mention that the additional 128.77 was a charge for a extra day and 80 miles over my limit and for gas I did not put back in the van. I turned the van back in that same night and I put the gas back in just as it was when I received the van. I waited a whole week and I never seen the money reversed back into my bank account. When I called back the representative by the name was rude and acted as if he didn't tell me that he was going to give my money back and that I had to talk to someone else in management. I was completely lost because I have never had a experience like this with uhaul. I was finally able to talk a manager by the name of Nathan. Again, I was charged for a additional 128.77. For a extra day 80 miles over and because they said I didn't put gas back in. None of this was true. I told him I dropped the vehicle off that same night brought the gas back as it was when I got the van and I drove the same mileage to and from the university. Well he calculated the distance and said that it was actually 230 up and back making it 460 miles. So I said ok to this and accepted the charges. But it still did not equal the 80miles over that they said I went. But just to compromise I accepted the overages in miles and he said he would return my money for the extra day charge and the gas. I took Nathon at his word and from there I called my bank and told them to drop the dispute on the overcharge from uhaul because they said they would return my money. My bank actually told me not to drop the dispute and let them continue wi

This was a drop off point. I was charged nine cents on my credit card. Ordinarily I would not care, but the whole experience has me furious and I want an explanation. It was very inconvenient that I had to wait 2 hours almost to get my truck. Cost me a lot of money for being delayed to move my home outside of paying for the moving truck . VERY INCONVENIENT

Using the dimensions given on your website for height and width of entrance at the back, I calculated the diagonal to see if a painting that I was moving would fit. It would, with 4 inches to spare. In reality, it was several inches too small. A serious problem for customers. I'm a math teachers and checked my calculations for accuracy.

The truck felt like it was going to fall apart once or hit 60mph, so it felt completely unsafe. Then on top of returning it, on the same amount of gas that was in when when I began, they changed me an extra $72! This is beyond criminal, stealing people's hard earned money like that! I'll never use that specific Uhaul ever again!

I waited for an hour to check in to get my hitch installed with a reservation. Lathough people were very nice just overworked they said it would take 3 hours and took 5. Was happy to be done and drove from Cincinnati to Chicago to get my u haul rented trailer only to find out the Cincinnati office didn't install wiring harness as agreed and paid for - then I had to find another location to install wiring , delayed my trip by 1 day, took 3 hours out of my Sunday morning and even though it worked ot ok the root causes was Cincinnati office dropped the ball. I will ask for a 20% discussion for my hassle.

Check in was very slow. It took 40 minutes to check in and get to the truck, while 2 additional employees were in the parking lot smoking when I arrived. My reservation was in the system and I arrived at the scheduled time. The clerk was having problems and he had to restart the process at least 3 times, causing unnecessary delay. Additionally, I refused the insurance each time, then, in the end, my final receipt included the charge for the insurance coverage I did not want. The whole experience was unnecessary time consuming and frustrating. I would like a full refund for my troubles. Please contact me with your response, either by phone or email.

The worst customer service experience EVER. I’m literally not exaggerating. The worker there Lawrence Walker was highly unprofessional on BOTH occasions of dealing with him— and not just me. It’s also how he dealt with other customers as well. I recently got a uhaul from colerain within the last 90 days and had such an amazing experience that I thought I’d try the company again— horrible mistake. Lawarence Walker was rude, condescending and nonchalant about his job— all around the absolute wrong person to be in a customer service position. I’d be extremely surprised if I’m the first to bring this up. On the first occasion he almost over charged me, doubling my cost. I had to correct him. Ok I shrug it off but then in the middle of helping me he’s ordered pizza and has to go outside to retrieve it— in the middle of my transaction— strike 2. On the second occasion I waited in line 45 minutes behind 5 other customers. As I get up to the front of the line Lawrence Walker tells me he can not provide me a final bill because the van hadn’t been checked in. That would’ve been fine if he hadn’t told me as I walked in that the check in wait time would be 30 minutes. When I urged him to check the van in and provide me a receipt he told that I’d have to wait whilst changing computers to help the customer behind me. When I told him, in a mellow but matter of fact tone, that it wasn’t fair that I waited 45 minutes to be brushed aside he got irrate, raised his voice and threatens to call the cops if I didn’t leave. Now I’m a slim woman, he’s a 6’3 male. I pose absolutely no threat to anyone let alone him. I get home. After 3 hours I got the receipt via email and I’m over charged! This is absolutely despicable. You guys at Gilbert Ave are going to lose a ton of customers if you keep this guy. I understand being short staffed but that’s no excuse to keep someone so unprofessional like Lawrence.

When I checked the truck back in, this paperwork was taken from me and I was “all set.” The hand correction was ignored, and I was charged for the extra mileage. Your system is broken.

This is my second rental at this location and I just want to say that everyone working there is fantastic! They all worked very hard to ensure I had a smooth rental & return. Nate Smith was the only one working the registers the morning I was there last Saturday. They were severely understaffed and there was a 45 minute line of people waiting. Despite this, Nate and the others maintained a cheerful, friendly attitude. They got me checked in quickly and hooked up the trailer for me. When I returned later, the gentleman started unhooking my trailer practically before I got the truck in park! These folks deserve to be praised and rewarded for their great work!

Everything was great until we received a fuel fill up fee of $60 due to us not returning the truck with the EXACT amount of gallons in the gas tank. We picked up the truck with just a little gas & returned the truck around the same. Charging us $60 for a little bit of gas + labor is a ridiculous amount and a complete scam when there was a gas station right by the drop off location.

I reserved a moving van online but was going to pay cash for it when I picked it up. I called the customer service line to make sure that this was possible and was told it was. When I went to pick up my moving van I was told by the desk agent that I couldn't pay for the van with cash, that U-Haul doesn't allow that, and that I would have to take a bigger moving truck (a 15'). Initially I wasn't happy with this but he did allow me to rent it at the same rate and it all worked out but had I know in the first place by the customer service agent, I would have been better informed. I was told that the customer service agents that you get when you call, a lot of them, work from home. That isn't an excuse for not training your employees properly in all of U-Haul's procedures and policies.

When I checked the mileage before I left it was at 12230. On the contract it was at 12221. I had them adjust it on the contract before I left. But when I checked the truck back in they went with the 12221 mileage which is wrong. So I was overcharged 9 miles @.79. I will never be back at the Gilbert Ave. Location ever again.

I've rented a truck here 3 times over the last month or two. The first time the gas gauge was registered wrong and when I took it back the outside attendant argued with me that I was reading it wrong. After 10 minutes of the discussion getting heated, we took the paper inside and the paper was begrudgingly updated. The second rental was fine. This third and most recent I had another truck where the gas was mis-registered by more than an 1/8th of a tank (they registered it between 3/8 and 1/2, where the tank read just over 1/4, which represented 5 gallons difference according to the diagram). I didn't have time to argue/dispute, so I just went about my busines. I wouldn't recommend or use this location again.

It took like an hour in line to get my rental. This was after the place I originally booked my u-haul (2 weeks in advance mind you) didn’t have a truck for me. On top of that, since this place was farther away, I had more travel distance than I originally planned, got a bill for $14 and can’t seem to pay it anywhere. Overall, extremely dissatisfied

Customer service could have been more friendly. Their printer did not work so I could not receive my receipt also I felt I was charged too much. And when I asked for a explanation I got the runaround. '"oh our printer is down check your email we don't know" is what they told me. Also I put too much gas in my uhaul so a refund of the extra gallon of gas would have been good.

I've used uhaul trucks many times. The guy who rented the truck to me was nice and pleasant, aslo he explained terms and conditions very well. But the gas reading did not match what was actually in the truck plus I ordered a appliance Dolly and there was no Dolly on the truck when I got home. So I was a little displeased this time. The guy did make the adjustments on my bill. I will continue to use uhaul services, I will double check my rental order in the future. Their still a good rental and storage business.

I picked up a truck and left the lot with a quarter of a tank (which was marked on the form). I returned the truck with the same amount of gas in it as when I picked it up. And yet, I was charged $18 for gas. I reached out to the GM to question this charge- he never answered my email. I called customer service who then emailed him again. The woman on the phone was very helpful, and she told me that he would probably call me back very soon after hanging up with her. He never called me. It's very unprofessional to just ignore your customers. Would not recommend.

Be sure the trailer is swept out good. I was hauling nice furniture and had to sweep out the floor first. Trailer tires were in need of replacement so the lengthy trip concerned me. Other than that, the counter attendant was helpful and friendly despite having an understaffed busy day.

Well where do I start?!? 1. Made a reservation online and it said there was a trailer there. As I’m about 2min from the place for pickup they call me and tell me there is not a trailer like the one I reserved online and I’d have to go to another location. Admittedly it was only 5miles away but in rush hr traffic it took me dang near 30min. To top it off I had to back track, from the location I was about to pull into, to get to the new location. 2. I finally arrive and it took F O R E V E R to do the paperwork (no fault of the guy who was trying to assist me, as far as I could tell) due to a glitch in the computer system. 3. Dude trying to assist me reeked of weed. Don’t know if he just got done with a joint or if he just always wears the same coat when he smokes...I think I received a contact high, due to suddenly having the munchies. 4. He finally was able to print my paperwork and told me where the trailer was and to backup close to it and he’d be right down to hook it up. 5. I get down to where they keep the trailers (across the street and around the corner from the office) and find the trailer I’m supposed to be taking is buried behind 4 other trailers. I then proceed to unbury the trailer I need and back up to it, and no he still wasn’t down there to hook it up. I proceed to hook up my own trailer and pull back up to the office due to it needing some “TLC.” The trailer was a car trailer and had worn out and/or missing straps and chains. 6. When I pull back up to the office the guy who said he was gonna come hookup the trailer says “man, I’m sorry, I forgot you were down there getting a trailer.” To which I respond “is it because you were high?” I received no response. 7. I told him I needed some stuff fixed on the trailer before I could take it. 1) due to safety of having faulty equipment 2) due to not wanting to be charged with the damaged/missing pieces when I returned it. His response was “you can’t take this trailer because it’s inoperable.” My response was “if you have the straps and chains I’ll fix it myself, since it’s to late to go to another place and get another and I’m from out of town.” He proceeded to go look for said pieces. He comes back in a timely fashion with correct pieces and a tool kit. 8. Due to the time I’d been there already (about an hr at this point, maybe a little more) I decided I’d help by removing some of the bolts and changing one of the straps while he addressed the missing chains and the other strap. Well I pull out MY OWN tool kit and proceed to take apart the one bolt to change the strap. Well he fixed the missing chains and then stood there. I said nothing due to being extremely pissed off and didn’t wanna make the situation worse. I finally get the boot back in and the strap on correctly and get off the ground. The person who was “helping me” proceeded to ask if he could use MY tools since their kit did not have the proper sockets in it to remove the b
