The staff was nice, courteous, and helpful. They helped me with renting my storage unit and changes I needed to make. However, getting my Uboxes brought up to the storage unit was a nightmare. I had to reschedule after the first attempt because they weren't brought up. The 2nd time we had to wait over an hour before the first of three boxes were brought up. After we unloaded the box I had to call the manager to find out where the other two were. He handled it and the other two boxes came up without incident.Michele S. | Premières impressions

The employees did not help find the new truck they told me it was down in the back. I get it wasn't their job but this would have been a great time to show empathy and help. And someone should have checked the tires knowing I was driving thru 2 states and not given me a truck with bad tires.Linda G.

The people who work at this location were very nice and my experience was not their fault fir the most part. I had a 26' truck reserved and was told the evening before picking up the truck that it was Not available. The U-Haul web system was not stating where the truck was or why it would not be available. I had to have a 26' truck for my household furnishings! The U-Haul store put me in a bind where I was moving out of State and could not delay the truck being loaded on Friday the 17th. Because I was not given the correct rental truck I now have to pay again to go back to AZ to get my excess turnings out of a friends garage. The friend was kind enough to allow me to put the rest of my household goods into her garage temporarily. This going to cost me the same or more again to travel to AZ. Pay to have my daughter and son n law go back to AZ. Rent another moving truck and pay a mover again to load the truck and have help to drive the truck back to Utah. I told the store three times I had to have the larger truck to move and would pick up the auto carrier trailer the next morning on the 18th to get help loading my car for transport. The store provided an auto carrier that was not the one reserved and was not authorized as I found out to be released to go to travel to UT from AZ. No o e told me the bundles of blankets to cover furniture with was only a rental and blankets are required to be returned. This moving experience has turned into an expensive nightmare. !! It was recommended by transport that an action report be filed that the boss will need to address. I hope that compensation can be made to me.KAREN K.
My uhaul files in a manilla 8 1/2 x 11 folder was accidentally left in the cab; when I called, the attendant said..."nothing was turned in.." The folder contained my copy showing a 20' truck AND an auto transporter rented and paid for in full at Bullhead city AZ. I was sent to 4 locations to pick up my auto transport; long story short=I never received it! A refund is due.THEODORE F.

There was only one guy checking people in the morning, and there were about 8 people in line waiting for around a half hour each. People are there because they have places to be, and things to get done - so standing in line for so long is a waste of precious time. Check in was poor. Was given keys to truck, (parked way in back lot and behind building). Only to walk out there and truck was between other trucks. Back to front office, then when returning, was told I had wrong truck and to go inside to get corrected paperwork. Inside was long wait, only to have no one know how to change paperwork, so no receipt. Was told I would get receipt by e-mail.....have yet to receive one.Mark H.

I reserved and was guaranteed a 26' truck. When i arrived at my appointment time, they had no 26' truck and none were available anywhere. Allegedly I had been told and agreed that my reservation was not guaranteed, I disagree. The email I had from uhaul stating my reservation was guaranteed meant nothing. I must commend the staff at this uhaul location for helping me the best they could. However, I will never use uhaul again and would never recommend them to a friend, probably not even to an enemy. What's the point of a reservation if it's still first come first serve? I had a reservation because i sold my house and had to be out.MICHAEL L.

Start telling your customers not leave the way the arrows one way directions tell them do to your construction that will send them into a closed off area (dead end). Also put signs up in front to tell them that the office moved to the front off building. Also if someone shows up 10 minutes before you close check the truck in . If you tell your customers need to return by 7:00 pm and you don't want to check it at 06:50 . Change and tell them 06:30 . Been here at this location several times . And this was the most inconvenient time . Also damage on the truck is not marked, so I had to take pictures of damages .Daniel F.

Delivery of containers from Springfield Mo was left empty in my driveway for 13 days. Springfield office stated driver was out with COVID and did not have any other drivers to pick them up. My suggestion is to have more than one person to a specific job. Multiple people should be able to do multiple jobs just for situations like mine.david B.

Make sure person in the back with the trucks has a working walkie talkie so customer doesn't have to drive to the front of the building twice and if someone at the register says they'll compensate you for gas that's over a quarter. Then they should put it in the notes so when dropping off equipment the person is aware because that was NOT the case for usJacob B.

This wasn't the location that I requested and it was changed the day before my scheduled move. Additionally, no 26ft trucks were available for my reservation on the day I needed it so I had to shift everything about my move for an extra day plus drive the extra distance to pick it up. The truck functioned okay but the passenger side door had issues and made a loud popping plus the truck had no cruise control which is very exhausting for long hauls.AUBRIE J.

I've rented from this facility twice and the first time the yard guy didn't screw the trailer to the ball hitch and it came off and damaged my number and muffler and now I have to waste my time to get a quote for repairs. The second time I picked up the trailer around 1pm and returned it by 4:30 and a yard guy detached the trailer from my suv and said I was good to go and now the next morning I get a call that I need to return the trailer or I will be charged 50 $. I ended up on hold for on for over an hour getting it all figured out. This store needs a new manager or some extensive training. Absolutely ridiculous and I won't be renting from this store ever again.CHARLES A.

The line was long and we waited for quite some time, but then two more employees came out and got us checked in for our rental really quickly. Everyone polite and friendly. There was a little confusion on where to pickup our trailer. That would be my only recommendation on what to improve. It was unclear that I needed to drive to the back of the building. Long line just to pick up, original trailer didn't have operating lights and had to switch trailers. Trailer fell off hitch less than a mile after leaving facility. When returned the check-in location wasn't clearly marked, told staff member about trailer falling off and he just said sorry. Then failed to properly check trailer in. Had to call 2 days later let them know the check-in wasn't complete so that I wouldn't face late charges.JUSTIN H.

In general, this was a good location to get U-haul trucks, equipment and packing materials. However, it took 3 attempts to provide me an adequate truck. The first truck had pushed in headlight switch and would be unusable after dark. The second truck had a dead battery. The 3rd was in good condition. Service, on the other hand, was great.Michael W.

First an foremost, the Bell Rd location was super helpful. What's frustrating about this, is the logistics and the piss poor communication of â€œcustomer serviceâ€â€¦Plain and simple. Our â€œguaranteedâ€ delivery was two weeks late! I will say we got a call THE DAY of the original expected delivery date just to tell me it was going to be a week lateâ€¦then that time came and went... still no delivery.We called back numerous times to get an update, no one knew an answer and was eventually advised that a â€œsupervisorâ€ was going to call me and give me an update. Of course, no call ever came through. Sadly, we have, minimumâ€¦two other households AND a complete business to ship over to Missouri! Sadly, againâ€¦ we were the first ones of this major operation. So now some other company is going to get our business. Let's be honest, I highly doubt anything will come of this review, because I've done Customer Serviceâ€¦I know how it goes. But just know, there was a family that was serviced so shitty, that they will go above and beyond to make sure other families and businesses go through another company. Great customer service, especially the young girl who handled my check in of the trailer I was returning. She was the only lot attendant checking in vehicles even though its was an hour before closing and the were so many people retuning rentals. It was very hot outside and lots of impatient people waiting to check vehicles in, this young female handled herself very professionally and address people very politely and with a smile on her face. She was simply amazing! I just wished I would have not lost the paper That i wrote her name on so that i could her a great review! God bless her for being very nice under a very stressful circumstance! I will definitely rent vehicles/trailers from this location again!STEPHEN C.

I reserved in advance provided my credit card and sent scan of my D/L .Truck was not hooked up to trailer yet so we were late getting on the road as planned. Also We had to stop as the truck was filthy. steering wheel was sticky and there were dirt and dog hair everywhere as as we have allergies we had to clean out the truck before we could get down the road. when we got to location to pick up our car. we found that the straps provided were old stiff and rusted in places. it took us a long time and the front tire straps kept loosening. so we had to keep stopping to check and retighten. and use some of our own. When we dropped the truck and trailer back off there were 4 people in line waiting.And one super slow worker at the desk. I stood there for half hour and the line never moved. i have never seen someone move slower in my life. the people in line were mad. one guy was complaining his rental was not ready and he had been there already two hours. after waiting another half hour I just left. terrible customer service. no reason your equipment is not clean and locked and loaded for the customer that reserves in advance. and have a separate line for random people stopping by to rent. and one for those picking up and dropping off.SANDRA R.

It was the WORST experience ever. From getting locked out of my unit for non-payment when I was enrolled in auto pay, to getting my email wrong twice, to the complete and utter failure of getting lights on in my hallway after repeatedly asking for it to be fixed. I went into the office no less than five times over about a two month period. Each time I was told it would be taken care of and it never was. Reserved a unit a month in advance and when I got to the Uhaul, with my truck loaded down and movers who were paid by the hour it took over a hour for them to find two rooms to accommodate for my one and I ended up paying my movers for a free hour. I have used U Haul before on Grand and Bell in Surprise Az. This time I used them it was a horrible experience with the storage that I reserved and they sent me all over Phoenix when it was there fault and charged me after they said they would give me an extra day free on the truck I rented and that they would take over 80 miles for the run around they gave me and they did not do that. The manager at U Haul I'm Surprise never came out of his office to help me. Very Poor Service and disappointed. I will be calling Monday morning to argue with them. They never sent me a bill of for what they were charging me. They just charged my credit card with out a bill being itemized . So I am very unhappymarie c. | Premières impressions

The facility deserves 5 stars; however, I am reducing it because there were no dollys availableto help move my items like other Uhaul facilities. Fantastic service even post-pandemic and being short staffed. However not everyone understands having to run so short handed. Wayne's team was amazing and I can't believe Dina is still there!! 殺 I will say the gal that was working the counter that evening was NOT very friendly or welcoming to me or the customer before me. We seemed to be bothering her. As a former employee I took pride in greeting all guests warmly despite how my day was going or what was going on in my personal life (and at that time it was in the freaking dumpster) I was very disappointed in her attitude towards us. I imagine it wasn't a one time incident with her. Again, Wayne's morning crew was absolutely wonderful. The only complaint I have is that the billing seem to be all over the board. It seems like the main number I called couldn't answer specific questions about my account and trying to get a hold of the place I had storage two answer specifically about my account and the seemingly unnecessary charges. I, a moving van and four men contracted to unload the truck into the storage unit had to wait for an hour for your computer system and U-haul employees to gain access to the unit. I lost a day of moving help because the elevator had operating issues. The 'manager' said the next day that it was working, but when i tried, it was not. Turns out she lied when she said a repairman came out and it was fixed. Another person said no one was called to come out and repair it. I was sold 2 locks for both units, then found out there was already a lock in each unit, but still charged me for the ones i didnt need. Only 1 elevator for the size of this location is ludicrous. The general manager was phenomenal! After having a bad experience at the location in Laveen earlier in the day, I wasn't sure what to expect. She made the experience of returning the trailer we had rented in Detroit and accessing our free 30-day storage unit there a very pleasant experience. Made reservations a month ago and they still couldn't provide me with a big enough vehicle to move my belongings from California to Arizona. once I got to Arizona the storage unit that I had reserved was not available and I asked them what we can do so they gave me 4 5 x 5 storage units which still didn't fit even half of my stuff. After making online reservation, original unit assignment was 2086 and was locked and unavailable for use upon arrival. Had to be reassigned to another unit, 1119. One week later when trying to access storage unit we were locked out because of billing errors which had to be fixed by on duty staff. That is back to back weeks that we incurred difficulties. I went to the Uhaul office in Surprise on June 14th. The young man sold me a lock and did not tell me to put it on immediately.He did not have me sign a contract, I recived a call from Jennifer regarding the contract. I said I would be in to sign. I never can get thru to the Surprise office. Sat 6=27 another call from Jennifer wanting to know if I had moved out, I hadn't even moved in. Because I did not put my lock on the leased the unit to someone else. So I spent another hour getting a different unit rented and locked up. I feel the service was very poor until I talked with Jennifer face to face. I now have a unit and we are moving items in on Thursday. Your phone service is terrible, Put on hold forever and then you don't talk to who called you and they person you do talk to does not know what they problem is. This has not been a good experience.
