The initial truck was "changed". I did not know why. THE TRUCK I GOT kept chiming and a MESSAGE TO FIX TRACTION kept lighting up on the dash. I would only recommend this location AS A CLOSE location - not for services/rentals

The check out staff was being disrespectful as I was checking out my storage unit. I wish I had better staff with communication skills and who knows the meaning of working with people and acknowledging the fact that we spend our money to get service the professional way. It the two young females did t want to work on the Sunday they could have stay home I mean it I do t know what's going on with the staff hiring process but please step up as recommended.

Thank you for having Uhaul to move large bulks of items. I love the concept very much. The online service has been a very bad experience. And in my previous order, i was told to park on Atlantic Avenue by the Uhaul rep and she caused me to incur a 145 dollar ticket. My experience with Uhaul has been bad. But it is needed. Hopefully one day the services get better or the a better service provider comes along. This trip the Vehicle was in total chaos. And I still have not received my Receipt to hand in to my Boss. Yet thank you because the use of the Uhaul allowed me to pick up items for homeless shelters. Those donations was what truly mattered. I just wish that Uhaul had a better system. The Worker at the Uhaul place were very helpful with everything. I truly appreciated them for a job well done. The lady clerk and the gentlemen providing the Uhaul were helpful with the online process. Please send my receipt and response to my grievance about my the ticket that I paid for only because I have to use this service.

Picking up the truck in the Bronx on the grand concourse was great but they didn't have a drop off location for me. I was using it to go to Brooklyn and wanted to leave it in Brooklyn but it took me 3 tries finding a u haul location. I finally found a place after an hour of trying to return the truck.

I originally ordered a 26ft Truck, scheduled it and on the pre call the next day I was told did I want to go to Jersey City to pick it up when I live in the Bronx. The truck that was chosen was full of water so the gentleman that brought the truck was disappointed so he changed the truck to a different one . The truck overall is in pretty bad condition it had over 121 000 miles on it and drove like a roller coaster. Worst UHAUL experience I've ever had. The customer service representative at the front desk was great , very helpful in getting me through the registration process online at the store.

When i made the reservation. I asked if wiring was included to the vehicle. I was informed yes. When i picked up the trailer they made me buy a wiring extender $15 as a separate add on with a different invoice. This location is trash with trash people working. Not helpful in amyvway. Returned trailer a day early and was charged an additional $20 for afterhours return because i returned at 7 AM instead of 9. Rent from another location. Unless you don't mind be charged for additional services you should not need if rented from another location.

The only one thing I was disappointed with was when getting our vehicle I was surprised to find that the gas tank was only a quarter full. My reasoning for being upset is that people who are picking up such vehicles for moving are people who have a priority to move things not worry about filling up on gas to get you to and from your location. It's ok to of course do so at the end of a move and bring it back as you picked it up. But honestly I didn't have that kind of time on this specific day before even loading the truck to get gas first. Getting gas was not my priority the move was.

When I went to complete the move-in paperwork I was treated horrible! Francia Guzman was so annoyed during the whole process she treated me like I was nothing. She rolled her eyes at me and gave me an attitude the whole time. I felt so stupid and even wanted to cry. I went in at 6pm she looked at her watch and that's when her whole attitude changed.

The location it's self it's well maintained, everything is always cleaned and neat. The biggest issue here is the lack of communication and the manager is not very customer friendly. There were times I would be calling and emailing with no response, the only way to get anything resolved is to actually go in. I had an issues and called, left VM, left emails and even called customer service with no return calls. I would get a reply if I emailed an a specific employee on staff but never when I reached out the the manager. When you go in stores, the employees tell you that they are ignoring the phone calls on purpose because it is too busy.

My only tiny little criticism is that I needed to get a circular lock that is for U Haul storage units. So my locks that I had wasn't suitable nor acceptable, but that's ok. At least I was able to rent out a van, load and unload all on 1 day. And they had carts available to move heavy items from the van to the unit. That was helpful.

The facility was neat and clean but extremely hot it was 100 degrees on third floor every time I went there moving things around I almost passed out along with my 1yr old. Staff seem to not care how hot it was up there. Spending to much money for me be be unable to move with cool air. That facility where the units are shouldn't be that hot.

Bad experience one day I came a half hour before closing the office closed while I was still in the building at my storage unit elevator stop working I had to call using the elevator emergency phone someone came show me out the back way I had storage I was taking out I had to drag it through the parking lot to the front entrance so that I could load it up and leave HORRIBLE experience never again!!!! UHAUL should have a closing announcement for all customers to hear which it does not !! take note make an announcement to notify people what is going on!!!

While the facility is very clean and well run NYC rodents are still a problem. I only saw one during a visit, there are many visible traps around. I can honestly state that my belongings (stored for six months) were not at all effected by them. And, I checked to make sure. The facility does make sure that you are not leaving garbage or storing food or other inappropriate materials. It was very easy to get in/out with my SUV and their rental trucks. The access hours worked great for me (5am to 10pm). I would definitely use them again.

The only bad experience for me was that I could not change the date of payment this was an ordeal for me as im retired and my benefits come once a month an I was always late on payments and incurred additional fees that affected my budget needs thus policy you have should be reviewed and changed its horrible experience. Im sure as a business you want to make as much money as you can however the cost of people loosing precious memories. As I have lost after two years of paying for my unit I couldn't keep my. Payments and had to donate all of my belongings Im sure im not the only one that has lost I did try to change that date via emails or calls that was a shame did not get answer and the only solution I was given was to pay two months in advance this was a hardship for my budget as a paying customer allowances should be made for long term renters. My issue isn't with the facility or the people who manage it but with the overall business model as a whole. I reached out last year saying raising prices during a global pandemic (even if it was a scheduled increase) was predatory and someone with real power should do something about this. I said I didn't need to speak to anyone about this at my facility because no one there has any power to change prices and procedures handed down from corporate. I STILL received a phone call from my storage facilities manager which quickly devolved into him insulting me and saying "they don't set prices"; I already knew that. I was shuffled to the side and insulted by someone I almost specifically asked not to speak to. I've given your company a lot of money over the years during the most trying times in my life without complaint. I will never give you another because of this and will discourage ANYONE who asks me from doing any business with you in the future.

Most of the people I dealt with at UHaul were disrespectful, rude, and not helpful. On top of that, I've waited for an hour plus countless times on the phone just to get to a customer service rep. Noone takes down notes, so every time I get to someone I have to say my story over and over again.

Only thing I would say, I transferred my storage unit to bigger unit and the new unit needed to be swept as there was a lot of dirt on the ground. I didn't have the time to go and ask to have it cleaned up, but for the future this should not have been the case.

Krista (spelling might be off) was very friendly at helpful! I would highly recommend using the facility. The spaces are smaller than most assume, so I would recommend checking out the units prior to fully committing to a locker. But, I believe they are willing and able to work with you to find the right storage unit.

My only criticism is the lack of being able to get thru on the telephone to talk to someone at my site without being on hold for 10 minutes sometimes more

Terrible customer service. Didn't honor the free month promotion when renting a truck. The manager was so mean when I spoke to him over the phone. I constantly complained that my key card never worked to which they replied "it doesn't matter".

Excellent staff. Thanks to Lilly and Francia! At 383 Grand Concourse location in the Bronx! They were amazing!!! They deserve a commendation for their customer service skills. They greet everyone with courtesy and respect. Very knowledgeable on the services UHAUL provides. Again, I can't say enough on their professionalism. They offered me the perfect storage unit and I appreciate how they insisted on helping me find the perfect unit and truck rental.

My only complaint is the price. Uhaul is way too expensive. I started out paying a little over $160 and then there was a price increase. The cost per month became $179.00. The price should be lowered.

Make sure to enter with a lot of tissue if you have allergies. Tis is the dirtiest most disgusting place I have ever rented from. The bathrooms on any floor are NEVER clean/cleaned, so nasty. Always stinks. Other than that the place is ok,

Absolutely horrific experience with U-haul from start to finish. I reserved a truck and storage unit online and with the Promotion of one free month of storage. I go to pick up the truck and they tell me they have no more trucks available so they give me a fan. Okay, fine, fair enough, not a big deal. Then I go to the storage unit and while I'm at the desk, the employee refuses to honor the free month of storage with a vehicle rental. I told her that I called them earlier to confirm that they'll honor the free month and they said YES over the phone and hung up on me. I get there and she tells me that they won't honor it, nor is the promotion valid for their location. I then ask why does it say it is available on their website? Crickets.... I wish i didn't cancel my reservation with Public Storage and went with them.

With all my stuff in it and kids items alot had to be thrown out because of mouse/rat droppings. We use to have a second floor unit but once me moved to a ground floor unit rat/mouse droppings problem. Overall if it were not for the mouse/rat droppings U-Haul storage great company great customer service prices not too bad.

Rating would have been below average, but the customer representative Ms. Nunez who is a new employee worked very hard to assist us. The place is missing manager oversight. An employee wore slippers.

The staff is rude! Especially the manager. I moved to another storage company that appreciates their customers. I refuse to spend my hard earned money on a company that refuses to show appreciation.

Agent was very knowledgeable and personally took the initiative to show me several units when the original person that shows units was unavailable I did decide to rent a unit at the facility.

Air conditioner not working facility was heated 89’ degrees outside felt same way inside..person showing me locker not aware of where it was went around several rows before it was located

Unpleasant customer service 3 out of 4 times. Non-climate controlled units on the 1st floor are dark and poorly maintained, with difficult access to lofted units.

The facility is ok but that call center is horrible they give wrong information. Leave out important facts. For example you have to call certain facility to see if the have equipment for the hitch.

Only problems were some bathrooms packed toilet paper or were out of order.

The 3rd floor bathroom needs cleaning everytime I go there. There's either crap in the toilet or it's clogged up with crap then at times no bathroom paper , other than that everything is great.

Great service as always from these folks and professional demeanor overall. They recommended a great mover and made an arduous process seamless overall. Mickey runs a tight ship and is an expert.

One box is missing with a ROUTER in it. Micky, the manager charged for 2 months knowing I am only storing it for one month. He was rude, bullying to say the least. I listened to our original record

I asked for a different unit and I was told it was available. After I load up I look at contract and my rate increase by 30$ or so. Mickey said if I don't like the price I can unload and re load.

I've been a client for 4 years never missed a payment, on time. Never was I offered a free month, discount or anything. You guys don't take care of your clients just want money.no loyalty to customers
