There was nobody available onsite for storage rental. I was directed by a sign on the door to go down the street to another facility for rental. It took two trips to the other facility for them to get the access code correct, and when I entered the facility the heat was unbearable. Both phone conversations with the facility manager seemed a bit tense and she seemed bothered with my call. As I was leaving the facility another customer who rented the day before could not get into the facility with his gate card or code. I decided at that point to go to Public Storage and rented one of their climate controlled units for the same price!

This has been the worst experience EVER! From the the minute I was in the office. All Meghan cared about was telling me all the wrong things I can do to have my "privileges" revoked! There was probably one smile I seen from her and I believe it's when she laughed at her own joke. The storage facility is out dated and U-haul Co itself should be ashamed of it. It's like you are storing your items in a barn! The doors are just like a house door and so trying to get big items into the unit is nearly impossible. When I asked for a larger unit, before I could even get those words out of my mouth she snapped at me and said NO! And I don't know it was the look I gave her or what, then she quickly tried to see what other units where available at a facility down the road. I will NEVER rent from U-haul again! Lastly, less than 24 hours from moving in, her faculty is closed. I was not able to access the gate to get in due to the cards not reading, so the alternative is a access code. Which I was never given. I went to a U-haul location down the road for help. The lady there could not understand why I wasn't given a access code because they give their customers access codes. Customer service was called and a gentleman said he could see my access code however was not allowed to give it out over the phone. Meanwhile there was an older lady working and knew how to get a hold oh Meghan directly where Meghan informed her that she doesn't give her customers the access code that the only option is to use the card. And that I needed to go back down there and keep trying or wait until Monday when she is reopened. I am beyond upset and the way management has handled this situation is surely not the U-haul way!

The customer service was terrible. The Manager was very curt and unwilling to work toward a solution after my reservation was changed to a location 30 mins away in the opposite direction of my destination. This change in reservations happened less than 30 mins before my actual reservation. I had to initiate and ask to wait for the truck that I rented to return before she finally agreed to inspect the truck and let me use it. All of this could have been avoided if she just took the initiative and mentioned I would have to wait an extra 10 mins for her to inspect the truck.

This is absolutely the worst experience at U-Haul and I would love a chance to speak to the regional manager about the experience. No worst feeling than when my goal was to rent the truck and use for my own need (which should be U-Haul core business) turned into receiving the worst harassment from the store manager (which shouldn't be a core one, no less a driving force to turn people away). Meghan (the store manager - she reminded me of her title any chance she could unprompted). Her hostile way of communication every time left me wondering if there something about me or how I look that leads to this or is this just her way dealing with customers in general? Either way, it does not make it professional or acceptable to run a store like this. When I first picked up the truck, things were fine. I got good instruction along with the pamphlet so I knew what to do. When I returned I self-checked out as instructed since it was on a Sunday and the store was already closed. The website has a rigorous process for self-checkout including taking pictures of sides and entering data as requested. I did everything the website asked and left. The next morning, I received a call from Meghan, this is when the hostile manners began. She proceeded telling me that there is bump in the front of the truck, accusing me that I might have hit the curb somewhere. I told her very politely that I do not recall doing that since I drove very slow and very careful and I didn't have the truck for long. She proceeded with her way again, challenging me did I not check for all spots before I took the truck, did I not accept all conditions too. I told her very politely again that I did so of course because it would not let me proceed if I didn't accept all and things were looking fine to me. To save you time, she remained her position not in a form of questions or doubts since it was parked overnight, but in a form of absolute certain accusations that I did it. So I just said, “Meghan - it seems that we might not see eye to eye on the issue, could you let me know what is the total cost for the issue and we might go from there?” Only then, she decided to back down from the accusation and said she will escalate this to her regional manager and see how he respond. I said sure, I am free in the next 15 mins but will be on a call after just so she know. After that, she gave me a call during my meeting so she just left a voicemail. In her message, she mentioned that her manager said not to worry about the issue and that I left a pair of sunglasses so feel free to come to the store to pick it up and they open until 7pm most days. During the first 2 weeks, I tried to come to the store after work (past 5pm). Google Maps would show that the store closes at 5pm so that's why I couldn't just go. One time, I called the store but somehow it routed to the call center twice and I asked the same question, they confirmed that the store closes at 5pm. I have also called many times directly to the store, if not picked up by customer service it was on wait time for 30 mins and more. So I decided today that I would come in before work to avoid all that. I met Meghan and told her I'm here to pick up my sunglasses. She gave me the oddest look but proceeded to ask me when was this. I told her my rental date and that was 3 weeks ago. Without asking me for my rental reservation number, name, or look somewhere to see if the store has it. She continued staring at her computer the whole time onward (it was between me and her) and said she does not hold things for that long. She then reminded me that "It was 3 weeks ago" without saying anything else, as if this is another accusation why I didn't come sooner. I was just taken aback at how rude she was. So I continued asking her if maybe she could check if maybe the store still has it. Without looking away from her computer still (she was not actively typing or anything), she said no she does hold to things that long or know of any such thing. I said it was you or someone else (I'm just being polite at this point) that gave me a call that the store has it and I could come anytime the store is open. She then moved to the most audacious accusation yet, "tell me what it is, I cannot just show you what I have". She gave this really weird look and I was confused so I told her again that it is a pair of sunglasses. She continued with her accusation saying I cannot come in here and ask to see something without telling her what it is, what if it's not mine some sort. Then, I realize what she was trying to do and confirm if she wanted me to describe how it looks (how odd to have to describe sunglasses or prove myself that I specifically come to this store to try to get something that is not mine. She wasn't asking for my reservation number or my name so I don't know why that wouldn't do it) but I did anyway, telling her the details of how the sunglasses look. She then immediately said no she doesn't have it. At this point, it was very futile and clear that she might not have it and I was getting beyond harassed with her accusations. I was going to say something sort of polite and just leave but then she said, "Why would I hold to something for that long?” (x3 times she repeated), it was very clear to me that she was trying to shame me into thinking that I was late in retrieving my stuff. I just left with "Because it was not yours to throw away". I left feeling extremely awful the way I was treated and communicated throughout this whole experience. The sunglasses was a gift from a dear friend of mine that I haven't seen in 11 years from France. I make no mistake in realizing that I should not have left it in the truck when I returned. However, I should not be ever talked to like this or anyone else as a customer and that they might not hold on to things but there are better ways to deliver this and not shaming or making others feel this way. I hate that I have to tell you this long about the experience but I truly hope that no one should ever experience this.

Check-in process could be faster. This is not the fault of the personnel at the location, they were working as fast as they could, the problem is that they have to complete too many steps. The process needs to be streamlined.

The customer service while renting the vehicle was amazing. On returning the vehicle I was treated badly. She proceeded with asking me questions and kept holding me even though I stated I had to take a flight very soon and was running late. Her gestures and way of approach surprised me. Very disappointed. My experience was totally great while renting and returning at other locations. Would not recommend this location.

Truck was not ready - GM was very difficult & spoke over customers - I did not have credit card & had to inconvenience a friend to rent the truck with NO compensation for the huge inconvenience as I have previously paid cash or used my Debit Card - & within the past week! Understand rules if explained PRIOR to arrival so I am prepared. Inconvenienced 6 people for something so simple - pickup truck to move couches - should have been a non eventful rental. Will not return to this location until a change is made. The rudeness is unprofessional as well as not appropriate. GM needs another job or better customer service attitude. Not the “I go by the rules can not help what other locations do”. Not a professional GM to be assisting a UHAUL customer. Please get this resolved - busy business should excel in taking care of the customer.

When anyone at an established business, especially the owner, Meghan Draper in this case, tells me that they have to take a "FULL BODY PICTURE" of me in order to rent the vehicle, and clearly states with great conviction more than once that it's "beuause of the area", I feel personally attacked with prejudice. I am a successful business owner, in the industry for over 20 years, and I have never been made to feel that location or race has anything to do with how policies are created. I will be following up with your corporate, and possibly with legal action very soon. Merci.

the truck was clean The cleaning supplies used leave a sticky residue on the steering wheels. I did mention it to the attendant and she said she would address it. However of the windows in the vehicle were quite dirty wipe down every now and then would be very helpful. Otherwise great experience at this U-Haul location better than most.

Checkout process was very difficult and too long, not much flexibility in payment method or adding additional drivers, vehicles steering wasn't in very good condition and made it difficult to navigate in tight spaces.

I've always used the larger U Haul rental location on Harry Hines/Northwest Highway and booked this one by accident. But will always book this one in the future. No line, efficient, friendly.

The staff is very friendly. This storage facility is in a bad area which we didn't know ahead of time moving across the country. We were told by the staff they have to close early since the 'area is very active and not a good place to be at night. The storage shed itself had holes in the wall and had run-down doors. The actual rope is like splinters. I had to pull it down with a towel. They have rodent deterrents in the sheds themselves which leads me to believe they have a problem. We also experienced an issue with nails all over the group. I picked up a full handful, and then the staff came out to help me. Luckily I only needed the shed for 1 week.

I was not able to park my personal vehicle there while I used the rental .Since there are only 4 parking spaces for quick visits. But I was directed to a shopping mall down the street to safely park at while I used the rental truck which I did. But I definitely wouldn't leave it overnight.

Extremely slow and backed up. Only one person on the job and she would not take the time to move a returned trailer that was blocking the return route. It took over 30 minutes to drop off the u-haul. Tail end of my u-haul was hanging out in traffic as a result.

My experience was appalling. My truck was not available and I was notified at the scheduled pickup time. I was directed to the above location by a friendly customer service agent who did give me a 50$ credit. At the second location they asked for a state ID, a second ID, called me to verify my number, called the person I was with to verify their number, called “someone that knows me” to quiz them and verify my identity, and wanted to call a 4th person to verify my identity then asked for my passport. I asked if they did this to everyone and they said we do as much as we FEEL LIKE to verify your identity. Another customer knocked on a closed door and instead of helping them they laughed at the customer and said “I'm just not going to answer them”. Please do not reward this location with your business.

Check in was a little painful. Location services turned on still would not work w the check in. Taking photos was fine but would not upload until I disabled my ad blocker. Too many things to fix just to upload pictures.

The Manager needs a real attitude adjustment. She could not have been any less helpful. Her car was parked in the way, she had a horrible disposition, and was rude. The three movers could not believe how awful she was. I will never lease from this location again.

Had an issue with the previous renters not removing their lock. It was a mistake made by employee releasing unit before lock was removed but all is good now!

We love your Office manager was amazing and helping given good information. Now the location really is not good. But we know there's been lots of break-ins and we're a little worried about that.

The unit was not clean when I rented it. The door was broke and I was told it would be fixed but it was not. I called and left messages. I never got a call back. I canceled the unit.

apparently only one person is working I went to office 3 times it was locked. Another time the door was locked & paperwork was being done & I wait & knocked 3x, 15 minutes later he answered. No good

While the over facility was secure and well kept many of the units had doors that were old and did not keep the elements out. Ours wasdamaged and would not close properly. We were concerned.

Forced to use circular keyed lock. Misplaced key, told I had to use a locksmith to open. Not allowed to cut the lock myself. Staff far from friendly. Will not use any uhaul storage again.
