This location was excellent. The original reservation was for pickup at 7000 Manchester Ave. location also in St. Louis. The Manchester location is a defunct gas station with a "Closed by Health Department" placard on the door. Below this is a handwritten sign in marker giving a number to call. My reservation was a 20' truck with car dolly, and I paid up front for packing materials, an appliance dolly, and a furniture dolly. The same day I made the reservation, Uhaul called to ask if a 20' was not available, did I prefer 15' or 26'. I have a bad back, so smaller is better. They had a 26' truck for me to pick up. When I called the number from the handwritten sign, the gentleman who answered the phone told me I could take or leave the 26' truck. He said he was just a broker and had zero interest in providing the dollies or the packing materials, and if I didn't want the 26', "fuck you, you can get your truck somewhere else !". I did not need this additional stress on moving day. I rented from 1641 Kingshighway instead, and they were excellent. They had no car dollies available and only some of the materials I needed. I'm 49 years old and have rented a lot of trucks from a lot of locations and vendors. This was the single worst experience I've ever had. With no car dolly, my 86 mile move turned into 256 miles because I had to go back and get my car. My move was not easy without the equipment and materials I ordered. You have precisely one opportunity to make this right, or I will never use your company again, write a strongly worded Yelp review, and begin a campaign with my friends and family to boycott you as well.SCOTT S.

Lady at the computer was amazing, great personality and I wished she worked at my business. On the other hand the rest of your staff outside taking care of vehicle return was rude and on his cell phone while we waited on him to finish his conversation with his buddy. The wrong hitch was put on despite my asking if a 3 class was bring put on the day I had my appointment and was assured that it was the class 3 hitch that was being put on, but a 2 was put on, after my waiting about 2 1/2 hours for it being installed. Now I have to wait another 2 weeks or so for the new 3 hitch to come in and then wait another 21/2 hours or so to get it installed.linda R.

Don't leave a pine-tree air freshener in the truck. I was gagging for 300 miles. It couldn't have been better than whatever it was covering up. Wish the location had given me a truck with cruise control for an 800-mile trip (assuming any of the 15-foot trucks have it). It was a hard trip.Michael B.

Overall better management. I made a phone reservation which included a uhaul with a large dolly. Allegedly it was not included the contract at the time of pickup. It was unnoticed until moved beginner to load the uhaul. The manager on duty of 09/29/21 morning shift was unpleasant about everything.. Woild not recommendShantrella M.

Brought back the truck refueled for the mileage I used and was still charged for gas. The gentleman that checked the truck back in didn't give me any indication anything was amiss. Wasn't until I got the receipt in my email that I discovered the fuel charge. When I called to dispute the person on the phone tried to blame me saying I should have tried disputing and asking questions during the check in process while also agreeing the check in person should have mentioned to me the fuel level and that he would be adding a fuel charge. After a couple more roundabout exchanges where both the worker and myself were at fault I was put on hold. After a few minutes I'm told I would be receiving a refund for the cost of the fuel but strongly encouraged to question and dispute the state of the truck upon return. No worries I'll avoid it by not using this location or uhaul again if this is the business practice I can expect (i.e. over charge and blame the customer while simultaneously admitting it was the workers fault for not communicating with said customer).RICHARD B.

So, the software needs to make it clear that self-return is only for after hours. When I pulled in (around 2:00 pm), there was a line at the return station. So, instead of waiting in line, I pulled the truck around to the side of the building, where I had picked it up, followed the instructions on the software on my phone, and closed out that way. I then walked over and dropped the key in the drop box (as instructed by the software). Right after I did that, one of the guys checking in the returns yelled over at me (we were about fifty feet apart), and asked me why I didn't go through the check out line. I told him the software gave me the impression I could do either one, so I chose the self-checkout. He was a bit perturbed - I could not tell if he was perturbed at me, or the fact the software did not make it clear what I was supposed to do. Anyway, I just apologized to him, got in my car, and left, since the truck was now safely back in their possession..Jim D.

Rented cargo van online. Went to pick it up and it was boxed in between other trucks and vans. Keys that were left in lock box were for a pick up truck with cracked windshield. Over all shit show.Adi P.

The only hiccup I had was that the prior person that used the truck I was assigned only left a quarter tank of fuel, which meant I had to stop at the service station right out the box. That was a little bit of an inconvenience, it would have been better if someone from uhaul would have put more fuel in it for the next renter.Garon H.
Very friendly crew & helpful! I rented furniture pads, when I opened them they were all wet (I guess they'd been cleaned) but could not use them on my wood furniture. By the time I made that discovery it was too late to return them.Kimberly B.

I went to the Kings Highway location because another U-Haul at 7000 Manchester in St Louis Missouri was so poorly operated, staffed and prepared, I chose to take my business elsewhere. The King's Highway staff where is courteous and professional as any I've come to expect from do U-Haul company. The 7000 Manchester staff should really be evaluated by corporateRandall N.

I had to cancel a reservation for Wednesday August 25 which the associate, Mike, helped me with which I rescheduled for today August 27. When I arrived, however, I was told that the pick-up had to be back at 2p.m.which equaled a 4-hour rental not 24 like the advertising promises. I was very unhappy that I wasn't told this very important detail on Wednesday and wasn't given any support by the UHaul staff at this location. Merci.PAMELA D.

I have no complaints about your staff or equipment. I am maddened by the after hours self-return website. After getting to the stage where I was forced to make an account and then had to access my email to get a verification code, I returned to the U-Haul site to get a message that my session had timed out and all progress was lost. What's the point of a 15-minute expiration time on a website most people are accessing from their phone? Why not 30 minutes or an hour? I'm not at a library leaving my email logged in on a public computer. What a misguided layer of "security" that screws over the user experience. My tired, heat-addled brain just wanted dinner and I gave up. So I'm out 20 $on the return fee and my whole experience was soured.Kevin G.

The lady who helped me was great. She gave me her full and undefined attention even though they had a lot going on. The first unit I reserved the door would not latch so I had to get the next size storage unit. The next unit had 2 locks on it so unfortunately I was not able to have that unit.
