I WOULD HAVE TO RATE MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH UHAUL AS POOR. WHEN I PICKED UP MY VEHICLE, I REALIZED THAT THE OIL CHANGE LIGHT WAS ON AND ADDRESSED MY CONCERN TO THE MANAGER AT THE LOCATION. SHE STATED THAT THE OIL WAS CHANGED, BUT THEY FORGOT TO RESET THE LIGHT. NO ONE EVER BOTHERED TO COME OUT AND FIX IT, SO I HAD TO DRIVE WITH THE MESSAGE ON THE DASH FOR THE ENTIRE RENTAL PERIOD. THE NEXT ISSUE I ENCOUNTERED WAS WHEN I TRIED TO RETURN THE VEHICLE. I TRIED TO CHECK THE VEHICLE BACK IN ONLINE, BUT THE SYSTEM WAS UNABLE TO VERIFY MY LOCATION(ALTHOUGH IT WAS ON) SO I WAS NOT ABLE TO CHECK THE VEHICLE IN THAT WAY. I SPOKE WITH 3 EMPLOYEES IN REFERENCE TO MY CONCERN ABOUT NOT BEING ABLE TO CHECK THE VEHICLE IN ONLINE AND JUST LEAVING IT UNATTENDED BUT I WAS ASSURED THAT EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE. SEVERAL HOURS LATER, I RECIEVED AN EMAIL FROM UHAUL THAT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT RETURNED ALTHOUGH IT WAS. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED THAT TOLL FREE NUMBER AND WAS ON HOLD FOR OVER 40 MINUTES ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT I WOULD HAVE TO CALL THE LOCATION BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WAS NOT CHECKED IN . I CALLED THE LOCATION THE NEXT MORNING AT 7AM WHEN THEY WERE SCHEDULED TO BE OPEN, BUT HAD TO WAIT ON HOLD FOR OVER 30 MINS ONLY TO BE ROUTED TO THE TOLL FREE NUMBER AGAIN. THE INVDIVAL AT THAT LOCATION APOLOGIZED AND STATED THAT I HE WAS UNABLE TO ASSIST BUT HE WOULD ATTEMPT TO TRANSFER MY CALL TO THE ACTUAL LOCATION SITE WHICH IS WHERE I ORIGINALLY CALLED. WHEN HE ATTEMPTED TO TRANSFER THE CALL, NO ONE ANSWERED SO I WAS THEM TRANSFERRED TO SOMEONE "UPSTAIRS" WHO CHECKED ON THE STATUS OF THE RETURN. HE PLACED OUR CALL ON HOLD AND UPON RETURNING, HE STATED THAT HE SAW THE VEHICLE WAS ON THE LOT AND CHECKED THE GAS AND MILEAGE. HE WENT TO TO SAY THAT THEY WERE BACK LOGGED WITH ALL THE VEHICLES FROM OVER THE WEEKEND AND HADN'T HAD THE TIME OR MAN POWER TO CHECK THE VEHICLES ALTHOUGH i WATCHED AT LEAST 4 EMPLOYEES CHECKING IN VEHICLE ON SUNDAY MORNING. ON MONDAY EVENING, I WENT TO THE LOCATION ONLY TO DISCOVER THAT THE VEHICLE HAD STILL NOT BEEN CHECKED IN. THEY FINALLY CHECKED THE VEHICLE IN AND I RECEIVED AN EMAIL RECEIPT. I LEFT THE LOCATION AND CHECKED MY CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT LATER ON THAT NIGHT AND HAD AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE PENDING ON MY ACCOUNT. I CALLED THE TOLL FREE NUMBER AGAIN, WAITED ON HOLD FOR OVER 40 MINUTES ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT I HAD TO SPEAK WTH BILLING. I WAS TRANSFERRED TO ANOTHER EXTENTION AND WAITED FOR ANOTHER ETERNITY ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THE CHARGE WAS FOR BUT THAT THEY WOULD BOTH FALL OFF AND I WOULD ONLY BE CHARGED FOR THE AMOUNT ON THE FINAL RECEIPT THAT WAS EMAILED TO ME. IT'S NOW TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND THE ISSUE HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED. i HAVE USED UHAUL IN THE PASS WITHOUT AN ISSUE, BUT THIS TIME AROUND HAS BEEN A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE!!! I VERY UNSATISFIED WITH THE SERVICE THAT I RECEIVED.

It took nearly 2 hours to get the truck. There were no furniture pads available, and no notice given so it made it hard to pack the truck the way we wanted to so I had to purchase 30$ of mattress bags and change our plans for packing. Once I got the truck (after endless waiting on the employees) it was absolutely disgusting and smelled nasty. Then I had to drive back because no dollies were given to me as I had ordered. The gas was only half full, then I had to return again because the link timed in order for me to fill in the condition info since it took so long to get the truck. After returning the truck, I said it was dirty and not filled with gas when I got it and provided photos (I filled up gas to the level I got it at when I returned it) yet they initially charged the gas fee and cleaning fee. I had to request a change in fee but yet they still are charging me the cleaning fee so I'm waiting to hear back since I want my refund. I actually left the truck cleaner because I felt uncomfortable driving in it with my stuff sitting on the dirty cup holders, etc. This office was absolutely pathetic and I'll probably do anything I can to avoid UHaul from now on, and likely make sure friends do too.

Was over charged 50,00 $ more dollars then I should been I turn in truck with more fuel then it had when I got it. The tech that checked it earlier then I was due tech said everything was good. When I went in to verify everything was good .I was told your all set receipt would be emailed to me and when it was my credit card had an extra 50,00 $ charged to it with out my knowledge seem like a scam to me will never go back or recommend to this location to anyone.

Jacqueline Haggard is incredibly amazing !!! I purchased a hitch to have U-Haul to install it. I was on such a tight timeline, since Garland showed they had a hitch but instead did not, Jacqueline moved mountains and found the correct hitch and Plano, Tx; She went to Plano picked up hitch and had it installed right then. I thought that kind of perfect customer service was thrown out a long time ago. Jacqueline thank You for bringing it back. You literally went the extra miles in this situation and many other times when I could not make My mind up with which equipment I was going to rent and for how long; Your patience was so appreciated. I usually don't write reviews but in this situation I must. I thought She owned this location She was so conscientious. Thanks again.

Sent me searching all over lot for truck and took me about 10 minutes to find truck. Cab of truck and more specifically the cup holders were dirty.

Long story short: the IT side of things can get screwy, but the staff in-person does their best to make up for it. I was initially frustrated because I reserved a 10' truck at a different location at 8:30a. Then, the day before I was supposed to pick it up, I got a text that said that the location had changed to the Garland one, which was farther away than the initial location. It was last minute, so I couldn't call and ask questions. When I did arrive at 8:30a at the Garland location, I checked-in only to have the website tell me that I had to wait until the place opened at 9a to get the truck!! UGH. An employee pulled up and I explained the situation, but he said he didn't think the system would let him get me the truck before 9a. I sat on the curb for 10 minutes quietly fuming, but then the employee came out and said the manager might be able to help me. And he did! I was able to get the truck after that. In summary, a rough start but the move went well, drop off was easy, and I appreciated the staff that helped me.

Don't charge me to fill the tank when it wasn't full when I picked up the truck in Nashville. I submitted a photograph using the Uhaul link when I picked up the truck, and told the attendant the tank wasn't full. Upon return in Dallas, the lazy attendant sitting in the return area told me I could leave the keys and depart. He then checked the truck in and charged me 31 $for fuel - after he told me I could leave. When I called to request a refund, I was put on hold for an hour, before hanging up. I WANT/EXPECT A REFUND. PLEASE RESPOND BEFORE I SHARE MY EXPERIENCE ON SOCIAL MEDIA.

We had some problems with the moving service, one of the movers canceled on us the day of scheduled service and the man I talked to at the moving service was very rude and unhelpful. When talking to the people at UHaul and explaining our problem they went above and beyond to find a new moving company and set up a new appointment with Trophy moving within 24 hours.

Cruise Control on the truck would have been very much appreciated. There was some leakage on the driver side of the truck cabin. I don't know specifically where, but I hand some boxes that were quite damp.

Overall, this location is a good place to rent from. The truck was ready at the agreed time; 7 am in the morning. The windshield could have been cleaner. The truck was nearly new and easy to drive. The rental blankets were not available as requested with the reservation. The manager at this store was most helpful and found blankets at another nearby location. I would rent from this location again. A good manager runs this location.

Had not problem with the checkout inside; very polite and courteous. I had difficulty finding the employee to help me locate the trailer. Ended up the trailer number wasn't on the lot, and I had to go back in to change the paperwork. Drop off was the same, the guy wasn't present and it took longer than it could have.

I first was told to drop off at the store on Amanda Ln across the street, but when I got there they said that happens all the time but that they don't accept trailer drop offs so I had to go to another location. That's extremely frustrating

Nobody checked any serial numbers before hooking up the trailer. I got phonecalls a week later saying the equipment was overdue. Luckily, I took a photo of the u-haul employee in the lot unhooking the trailer from my vehicle later that day which had the serial number clearly in the picture. There was some error on U-Haul's end and nobody knew which trailer serial number I was given and returned.

Long lines. after a half hour wait, i walked over to this location's repair area. Begged a man to remove the tow dolly so i could take the truck to be unloaded. While removing the tow dolly he remarked that he was surprised the dolly hadn't come off the hitch because the hitch was missing a part. He wrote his name and recommendation on the Dolly reservation. I tried to turn it in the next day when returning the rental truck, but they wanted the truck parked and would email the receipt, so this CRITICAL information is most likely not passed on and some unlucky renter might loose their load. I don't trust UHaul equipment after this incident

I have rented a trailer from this location dozens of times. Each time, I have to wait for the person to hook it up. I always have to call the office, event though they assure me that someone will be there. Once, I had to drive back to the office. Many times, I have waited with others. This is a significant area for improvement.

My experience started in Seguin where I was supposed to pick up a truck and tow dolly to move on May 29th to Dallas. I go to the location to pick up my truck, and they had no idea I was coming and had no truck. I then proceeded to call Uhaul to figure out what had happened and where I could get a truck. I sat on hold for over 45 minutes. When I finally got to talk to someone, they informed me that I had to talk to the regional office, and they would transfer me. I then sat on hold for over an hour and never got to talk to anyone. So I gave up and started calling around to see if anyone had a truck. No one did. I then called my 68 year old father, and begged him to drive two hours so I could use his truck because I had to be out that day. So obviously all the stuff I was supposed to fit into a 15' truck wasn't going to fit into the back off my Dad's pickup so I had to rely on the generosity of my landlord who allowed me to store some of my stuff in her storage shed until I could get back down from Dallas to pick the rest up. After all if this, I call again once my day is completely ruined, and I've made it to my destination, to complain about my experience. I sit on hold for 50 minutes, to then be told I needed to be transferred to customer service. Sat on hold for another 40 minutes or so before I finally got someone to talk to. She was perfectly nice, and I had no intention of taking my frustrations out on her because nothing was her fault. Turns out the entire fiasco was caused by someone not doing their job and calling me to inform me that I had to go to another location to pickup my truck. I found this very simple little thing VERY frustrating since I had wasted my entire day trying to get ahold of someone to fix the issue but couldn't. My new job in Dallas was kind enough to loan me a van, so I could then rent a trailer, and go back down the next weekend to get the rest of my things. So long story short, you wasted two of my weekends, and my money on extra gas. And all I got was a 50 $credit put onto my card, and a 25 $gift for my next rental. So basically I'm out a few hundred dollars because of your ineptitude, and you are only out 75 $. You should have been bending over backwards to give my a free truck, but no, you think 75 $is good enough for all of my time and money wasted. So this is what it all boils down to. I will NEVER rent from you again! I will intentionally pay more to someone else to avoid your HORRID customer service. And I will NEVER recommend anyone to ever use Uhaul. If I could give negative stars on this review, you would be batting around a thousand.

poor employee help, could not get help/assistance to load a car dolly. Waited more than 30minutes and no one came, finally i was told i could do it on my own if i knew how. This was my first time to figure it out since i did not had anyone to ask questions. Also, there was a customer there that had been there since 7am, when i showed up it was 3pm.. That is sad..

UHaul was not working properly and did not allow pictures to be uploaded. Also, app could be enhanced to make user experience quicker and easier. It took me about 42 minutes to complete with functional issues that were present. Moving blankets were not provided and had to follow back up with Customer Service. Location is in the middle of construction zone and not easy to maneuver. Exit from location only allows to a service road traveling west which is also under construction and not convenient to travel South or West of location.

I called and let them know that my movers had not showed up and I would arrive past my return time. The person on the phone told me not too worry about it and they would not charge me for an extra day. Too my surprise I get a receipt later in the day and I was charged 75 $. And 9 $of it was for gas but I returned the truck at the exact level of gas I received the truck. If you were going to charge me for the day then be upfront but don't tell me not too worry about it and there won't be an extra charge then still charge me. That's very unprofessional.

You guys charged me twice for the same truck, and I had to wait 3 to 5 days for it to show up on my account, just as I promised the gentleman. He told me it would fall off, but I knew he was lying. CD56B9B and 27018566 are the order and reservation numbers. A total of 71,57 dollars was charged to my account.

The equipment is fine, but as with another recent rental, the location was understaffed and obviously frustrated to have so much business and not enough people to answer phones, complete reservations, and take care of problems quickly. Worse, the last two times I've rented I've been redirected to locations farther from my home to get the right trailer. At least they had the correct trailer this time...

I paid for a storage room that I never did use when I rented the storage room I never seen it until after I paid for it, it was not the sides of a storage room that I wanted on the outside of a building knot on the inside of a building, I was very upset because I could not get a refund will never again use U-Haul

The gentlemen named Phillip was who I had the pleasure of being helped by. He was killing it at the counter in the morning. He was helping two customers at a time, as well as directing the staff on where to go and what to do. The lady in the green shirt could have learned a thing or two from him. He was so nice that I even got a storage unit from him after being quoted a cheaper rate else where. Someone give this guy a raise! The check in process was also smooth. I hope to come back to this location for future business as long as Phillip is on shift :)

Any time I had an issue the staff &/or Manager would assist me in any way. They were always courteous, understanding, patient and willing to do their best. They understand the concept of "customer service" and work with integrity, honesty and they are trustworthy. It is hard to find a friend with those qualities - much less a business. I had to leave because the location was not convenient any longer.

Service sometime lines were long with only one staff . The staff who assisted me twice was very unprofessional and quite unfriendly. The storage lighting very antiquated not to mention, limited lighting to see inside the black holes you call storages. This was the worst experience I ever had.

My contract got lost initially and turned into a whole mess of phone calls and lack of information. When I was able to make it in person to grab my things out, my unit door was open and things were missing out of it. Two representatives knew about this and upon me describing who helped me get the unit, they both said "ooooh yeah...that guy got fired" and acted like this has happened before. They didn't offer any help as far as reporting anything.

The manager never responds to inquiries escalated to him. The personnel never answers the telephone and I was over charged. I moved out on 8/10 and was still charged another month storage fee because the personnel refused to move me out on the actual day I vacated.

The service I received was the worst experience I will never rent from uhaul again my locker was also broken into when I reported the incident to uhaul I never heard back. I was harassed if I was late on my payment even a couple of days even though I had the storage unit for over a year. Every time I went to the storage unit in person I was greeted by the worst customer service known to man with angry attitude workers it's just disgusting. Uhaul is around more and may be more convenient but that shouldn't be a reason to treat customers terrible.
