The first trailer I was assigned had multiple issues which seemed to be attributed maintenance (no brake fluid and broken safety chain). The yard attendant was very quick to fix the issues but it still took 45 mins just to pick the trailer up.JACOB V.

Your telephone wait was over 10 minutes and I had to hang up for no one would answer on your reservation line. I wound up physically driving down to the location to talk to someone in person. The men working at this location were very professional but your phone service absolutely sucks. Earlier in the day I was at your 67th Ave. and Bell store. The person at the desk was extremely unprofessional, ignored us for about three minutes after we entered the building as a result I left. There was an altercation between the customer in front of us and the women working that could have been avoided. There was a miscommunication and the customer was asking for help to get a new truck and the women refused to help him and threatened to call the police. Luckily another person working helped him get what he needed. She was nice to us but I have a background in retail and customer service and that is not how to treat people. Additionally, we gave a specific drop off location but we were not aware that a different location was put in. We were charged for an extra day when we only had the truck until 2:30 PM that same day.Felicia L.

Donavan is great! I have rented from this location for a few years. He is the manager and goes above and beyond. He is very attentive and is a hustler. He is always moving and running to satisfy the customers. He is the most hard working person I have seen. He is always putting the company ahead of himself. Canceling vacations and rarely has time off. He is always picking up the slack. U-haul needs more people like him. He is an asset to the team and irreplaceable if you ask me. I am a customer who rents from this U-haul multiple times a week. And will keep going back because I know I am always well taken care of. Thank you Donavan and team.Szilvia D.

Deanna at this location was very rude and short with us. She did not listen to what we were trying to tell her about our refund and charges she didn't want to hear it. I know it's hot out here in Arizona but that is no reason to be rude and disrespectful. Especially if you work in customer service. 9 people in line at drop off location McClintock and 202- no help. The only worker on-site told me to leave the keys in the truck and he would email a receipt later. No one in office. There were two people who had clearly been standing in line for too long. Only worker at the site was overwhelmed with backlog. Not enough help. Received a bill for 15 $after the fact with no support. Still have not received an invoice.Lynn H.

Unfortunately, you aren't letting me rate the locations that screwed us on our pick-up and drop-off locations. We had another location selected, but they moved us at the last minute before we had a chance to see the notice. I would rate them with zero stars.Christopher E.
Have better maintained equipment. We had a tire blow out halfway through our cross country move. I told the representative about the concern with the poorly maintained tires on the uhaul trailer and he was not concerned with it. Halfway to our new destination 1100 miles away the tire blew out and caught fire. Uhaul offered not compensation for our troubles. I will never use uhaul again.LUIS L.

I ordered a 1 bdrm truck 19,99 $ and a dolly 7,99 and I only put maybe 5 to 6 miles in the truck and it was 3/4 full I brought back a little over 3/4 cause I didn't even go but 2 blocks and you charged me over 65 $dollars are you kidding me. the employee was friendly but he apparently entered the wrong tow dolly number in the contract. The subsequent contact with U-Haul has been frustrating and unprofessional. After 4 phone calls with U-Haul traveling in a desert in New MX, I still have an additional 140,58 charge to my credit card. Guess I'll be calling for the 5th time in the morning. I had a reservation for a motorcycle trailer at 9:00 am on a Saturday. When I showed up I was told the computers and phones were down so they couldn't rent to me (they didn't bother to call me using one of their cell phones). I wasn't given any time frame as to when I could rent a trailer. When I tried to collect my "50 $guarantee" since UHaul didn't rent me what I had reserved, the 1-(800) national UHaul rep told me it would be up to the manager of this UHaul store Never even heard from the guy (once again no phone call). Had to move the next weekend, extend my storage unit lease 1 month, and other hassles --- and pay for a motorcyle trailer on the second trailer reservation!!!DAVID S.

This is hands down the worst storage facility experience I've ever had. Staff wasn't helpful. Are storage door was really damaged and when we told them they just ignored it. Also my storage was broken into and nobody ever really helped out. When I called corporate to find out the status of my situation. They had not been informed of what had happened. Apparently the employee that reported the incident never properly informed corporate about the incident. I'm very disappointed in how uhaul chose to handle this situation. It appears to me that this was a inside job because whoever broke into my storage knew my code and only targeted my unit. No other unit was broken into. Regarding the Mcclintock storage: NEGATIVE STARS for management communication. I had a storage locker for my child who attends ASU. I was driving through Tempe to collect the stuff and return home. All I wanted to know was if my gate card had a numerical code in which I could use if the card did not work. That's all. A thirty second phone call. I called the McClintock phone number three times, each time on different days, at different hours as it said while on hold they were "busy". Really? That busy? They couldn't answer it and say we are slammed busy, we'll be right there to help you. Each time I was on hold for more than 15 minutes. NO ONE picked up or picks up the phone. After the 15 minutes of holding I was then transferred to a national call center who told me they left messages for the manager or employees at Mcclintock to call me back. NO ONE CALLED ME BACK. NOT AN EMAIL. NOT A TEXT. NOTHING. It's always funny how a business is happy to take your money but when it comes time for customer support everyone just happens to be busy. If I was late on my payment, managers/employees find the time for late fees and collection centers. My final time I called, I stayed I hold yet again for yes, you guess it 15 minutes. And yes, I was transferred one more time. This time though it was to Neferti Hernandez. She took my information and even emailed and texted the McClintock manager to contact me through email, phone or text. Once again. NO ONE did. They couldn't give me 30 seconds of their time. Now If I were to give Neferti Hernandez a rating: 50 STARS. Yes fifty. I hope this email or response finds a way to her manager as she deserves praise. Uhaul is beyond lucky to have a polite, considerate, friendly, responsible person who was competent. I could write 100 more positive adjectives about her. The manager at McClintock should call Neferti Hernandez and learn how 2 minutes of being helpful goes a long way. Manager at McClintock Uhaul, please remember, you are not the only storage facility in Tempe. In business, you're only as good as your last job. You make hard working people like Neferti look bad. This facility needs major work as far as customer service is concerned. Every time I called the facility, no one answered the phone and I would be automatically connected to the corporate office. Living out of state temporarily and being unable to connect with the office staff where my storage unit was, made for a very uneasy feeling and had me constantly worried, until just yesterday when I was able to clean and close out my unit. Tony, the previous manager, was the best employee this location had. I would never recommend this location in general, whether it be for a moving truck, storage facilities or even moving supplies, to anyone I know, as I would hate anyone I know to feel the way I had. Everything with you guys has been great till we got their Friday to empty the unit. Two guys working on Friday 8/14 around noon were beyond rude , not helpful, and very unprofessional. My son, Sean went to the counter politely told the two guys that he left his key at home (in California) could they help him get into his unit. One guy looked at the other guy rude and sarcastic and said "what can we do? " They pretty much said we can't help you at ALL period. My son asked can a locksmith help? Can you recommend a locksmith if so? They said" No " and "No"... Just rude and unprofessional. Then, when I stepped up they said it's a liability. That is fine to me, but I'm sure they've been in this situation before and could of had a different approach and been more helpful..
