Sidney Mortier | Premières impressions, transparency on signage and advertising that it's not really $19. 99 a day, plus local mileage it is $2 a mile. I was asked to GUESS how many miles it would need for a round trip. I estimated about 40 miles round trip but I asked what are the things to consider that may change the price.? What if I'm going to leave and go to lunch? Or I'm going to go buy more cardboard boxes? What kind of money are you charging per mile? No one could tell me. or kind of extra mileage is going to add up and it's unknown so I don't think it's fair to have to claim a guesstimated amount of travel before you even started your trip practically and that's a little bit misleading bucks for me

Shriver Smithvintage specialty license plate was damaged because one employee was training another employee how to install a trailer and used the installation of a trailer on my G wagon as on the job training. I was only a few feet away and watched the trailer slam into the back of my Mercedes. When told him that he had damaged my car he laughed and said "no, it was like that" The other employee took photos and told me the manager would call but they haven't

DONALD SANTEODespite having an appointment to pick up our equipment, and have it connected to our truck, it took the staff an hour and a half to help us and complete our order. It was extremely frustrating. They mentioned that there had been some mishaps earlier in the morning, but they did not even know if the equipment we had reserved was available. Additionally, I asked if they could adjust my return time for all of my equipment, and the adjustment was not made properly. This led to difficulties and many phone calls on our return day.

You refused to give me a replacement truck until 6 hours later. Your employees were extremely rude and not trained at all. I will NEVER be renting from this location again.
Jared KosinaThe desk rep was very matter of factly uninterested in explaining much of anything. Not warm and inviting at all. The check-in person kept me waiting and then attempted to charge me for fuel without even looking at the level I started the day which was exactly the level I returned it at. When I challenged him and showed home the rental sheet from the morning he made the adjustment. I was still charged for 5 miles more than I drove but was too tired from the day to deal with it. Is this how U-Haul makes extra money by over charging a little bit on every rental but just small enough that no one wants to hassle to have it be accurate. Not a good way to do business! Bad for the company reputation if you ask me.
MAX RAMRASI accidentally hit the back button or cancel button mid-way through the return process on the app, specifically where you submit photos, and the app wouldn't allow me to go back to that process and continue providing photos. I don't know yet if I'll now be charged fees for being unable to upload these photos or if it will even count as being returned.

Jim MorrisonThis location gave me a broken trailer. The jack thing that keeps the trailer from dragging was broken. They didn't want to help me hook up the trailer to my car, I basically had to beg them even after paying the extra for it. They said that since I booked the equipment from another store I had to go back to the. Store to get it hooked up. I also asked if the broken piece was going to to still safe to drive they said yes. A quarter of the way at midnight cars were telling us to pull over and the hatch or whatever the part was called was dragging and causing sparks. Luckily I paid for roadside and they came to tape/strap it together. But that was a 3 hour delay in our move also it was freezing and wasted a bunch of gas just by having the car running... they knowingly put us in danger because they were simply lazy and negligent.

HECTOR ALVARADOMaybe. If a person does not get the equipment they reserved, I would recommend they go to another location. At this location, you can rely on the General Manager (Jazmin) to make things right, but the hassle of dealing with U-Haul may not be worth it.

lynn mataThe truck had over 125k miles on it and it "ran" like a truck with 125k miles on it. Not ideal and sounded a little "rough" in the first 2 gears. But the reason I wouldn't recommend "this location" was that the truck had less than 1/8 a tank of gas with "26 miles left" to drive until it ran out of gas when I started it up. And the answer from the staff to "my bringing this up" was "just bring it back as you found it. That is the first time renting cars or trucks for over 25 years that "that" was for "the customer" picking the truck up to "then go" find a gas station at the beginning of the rental.. So I had to put $20 of gas in it knowing that I could certainly "put a lot more" then I needed to. Why the tank wasn't "full" and I could then just "go back to a gas station and put as much gas back in to "make it full" upon return like every place I've ever rented at in history is just simply "odd". They had a ton of trucks and lots of good supplies inside. So it seemed like a good place. However "if" the customer picking a truck up with less than 1/8 a tank of gas then needing to go out to get gas right away is "normal" then again that is just odd.. "Putting stress" on your customer at the start of the rental should never happen. It should be simple and stress free with nothing to think about other then putting the key in and going to my destination. My experience at this location was far from normal or stress free.

John HarderI was helped by a guy and he was very rude and had bad attitude, he obviously did not enjoy working there. He didn't want to get up to check the mileage after I returned the truck and kept asking me to go check stuff instead of doing it himself. He didn't leave the chair. I asked what was his name and he said Lee ( he spelled it for me) but it turns out, he is Edward and I was told he is the manager. When I got the truck, he refused to come show me where it was. I was helped by other employees before and they always walked with me to the truck unless it's right at the front of the store.

ERIC WEAVERI was a bit disappointed when I put up my U-Haul because I paid to have moving blankets and a utility cart for my move. When I inspected the truck to see if everything was in there, the utility cart was missing. I went and told a workers in the office and she told me my only option was to buy a utility cart and there was no other option and then she just walked away. It was very poor customer service and never said they would take that charge off of my service since it was no longer and option but I paid for it.

robert cameron | Premières impressionsJazmine was Awesome. I had a very tough time with Uhaul with this rental. I rented a 15' truck and tow dolly combination from Las Vegas NV to Tempe Az. I was told I would receive 1 FREE month of Storage, they gave me a place to do that. Except when I went there, the gentleman that worked there said they have never offer the free month rentals. I was originally supposed to return the truck to Tempe, then it changed to Scottsdale, then it got switched to Phoenix which was 25 miles away ( the truck got 7-8 miles a gallon at $4,25 a gallon). I called the 800 number and they told me to go to this store at 800 N McClintock Dr in TEMPE. That is where I met Jazmine. I was getting upset with Uhaul because of all the running around they were making me do. She was happy to get me the free month of storage ( I had to get renters insurance, $7,95 a month). She told me to call Uhaul again and see if they would switch my return to her store instead of me having to drive 25 minutes. She made my experience a lot better. She did an amazing job. Merci

Are storage door was really damaged and when we told them they just ignored it. Also my storage was broken into and nobody ever really helped out. When I called corporate to find out the status of my situation. They had not been informed of what had happened. Apparently the employee that reported the incident never properly informed corporate about the incident. I'm very disappointed in how uhaul chose to handle this situation. It appears to me that this was a inside job because whoever broke into my storage knew my code and only targeted my unit. No other unit was broken into. So no I will not ever recommend this place to anyone.

Regina Bretones | Expérience généraleRegarding the Mcclintock storage: NEGATIVE STARS for management communication. I had a storage locker for my child who attends ASU. I was driving through Tempe to collect the stuff and return home. All I wanted to know was if my gate card had a numerical code in which I could use if the card did not work. That's all. A thirty second phone call. I called the McClintock phone number three times, each time on different days, at different hours as it said while on hold they were "busy". Really? That busy? They couldn't answer it and say we are slammed busy, we'll be right there to help you. Each time I was on hold for more than 15 minutes. NO ONE picked up or picks up the phone. After the 15 minutes of holding I was then transferred to a national call center who told me they left messages for the manager or employees at Mcclintock to call me back. NO ONE CALLED ME BACK. NOT AN EMAIL. NOT A TEXT. NOTHING. It's always funny how a business is happy to take your money but when it comes time for customer support everyone just happens to be busy. If I was late on my payment, managers/employees find the time for late fees and collection centers. My final time I called, I stayed I hold yet again for yes, you guess it 15 minutes. And yes, I was transferred one more time. This time though it was to Neferti Hernandez. She took my information and even emailed and texted the McClintock manager to contact me through email, phone or text. Once again. NO ONE did. They couldn't give me 30 seconds of their time. Now If I were to give Neferti Hernandez a rating: 50 STARS. Yes fifty. I hope this email or response finds a way to her manager as she deserves praise. Uhaul is beyond lucky to have a polite, considerate, friendly, responsible person who was competent. I could write 100 more positive adjectives about her. The manager at McClintock should call Neferti Hernandez and learn how 2 minutes of being helpful goes a long way. Manager at McClintock Uhaul, please remember, you are not the only storage facility in Tempe. In business, you're only as good as your last job. You make hard working people like Neferti look bad. She did her job, you need to step up and do yours.

Every time I called the facility, no one answered the phone and I would be automatically connected to the corporate office. Living out of state temporarily and being unable to connect with the office staff where my storage unit was, made for a very uneasy feeling and had me constantly worried, until just yesterday when I was able to clean and close out my unit. Tony, the previous manager, was the best employee this location had. I would never recommend this location in general, whether it be for a moving truck, storage facilities or even moving supplies, to anyone I know, as I would hate anyone I know to feel the way I had. Best of luck to this location and it's dire need of quality customer service skills.

Two guys working on Friday 8/14 around noon were beyond rude , not helpful, and very unprofessional. My son, Sean went to the counter politely told the two guys that he left his key at home (in California) could they help him get into his unit. One guy looked at the other guy rude and sarcastic and said "what can we do? " They pretty much said we can't help you at ALL period. My son asked can a locksmith help? Can you recommend a locksmith if so? They said" No " and "No"... Just rude and unprofessional. Then, when I stepped up they said it's a liability. That is fine to me, but I'm sure they've been in this situation before and could of had a different approach and been more helpful.. If I were in your shoes, I wouldn't want these two being the face of my business. Makes your business look very bad! I would think twice about getting rid of these two.
