Good and bad staff mixed. A bad staff kept my key and never return to the system and told me I am all set. I will receive an email. but I didn't. when I was so busy with the moving I have to worry about returning the truck was not done (over 24 hours) and I have to be there 3 times to finally find a good staff who help to find the bad staff and get the key submitted and then do all bad staff's jobs to clear out the case, it was really really stressful ... U haul shall do somthing retrain your bad staff...or get them out off jobs if they don't perform..Fow-Sen C.

The manager Kyle and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating! When the truck I was supposed to rent was not returned in time, Kyle helped to resolve issue ASAP and helped me to leave with a new truck right away. Couldn't be more thankful for Kyle and his whole team!Tyler P.
The truck was great, the reason that made me give a 1 star is because of the customer service that was really bad, I was attended by Kyle, he was really rude towards me, when I asked questions he acted like I was supposed to know everything, it was my first time there I never dealt with any type of rentals, of course I need to ask questions, most of the time he didn't pay attention to what he was doing and kept talking to his colleagues, the only thing that would make me go back is if I have no other option. If he had time to talk to his colleagues about things not related to work then he would have time to answer to my questions.Claudio C.

The first employee told me I was all set to just leave , he'd process my return later. No tanks- I will start taking my own pictures while I wait. He decided he would complete the return now too. When asked about returning a day early and receiving a credit back he said NO it is a final rate-no credits. I offered to return on Monday because I paid until then. He said NO the transaction is already complete and that is not an option either. He handed me to the boss who agreed No credit for an early return. Too bad uhaul chooses to take advantage of customers who have been loyal to using their services.Donna R.

Check-in process was WAY too slow. Waited over 45 min in line despite pre-reserving my vehicle and submitting all license / emergency contact / etc. information. Facility should have more check-in staff and/or a "fast lane" for people who have already submitted their documents. The staff was friendly and helpful though, they were just overwhelmed. Even though the U-Box has a latch and lock on one side, other side of the latch can easily be opened with a screw driver there-by compromising security. This was pointed out by the movers which caused some anxiety that while the u-boxes are in storage that the content could be compromised. I'd highly suggest sufficient measures are taken that the uboxes cannot be tampered easily.Suresh V.

I'm assuming customer service isn't a priority for this location. I'm not expecting people to be overly friendly but a smiling face and a nice greeting goes a long way. People behind the counter weren't very friendly. Also, I booked a one-way rental and I specified a drop off location. To be told I couldn't drop off the equipment at the location I had asked for was a surprise. UHaul should make it clear that the place you want to drop off your equipment may not take it. I took the van at 3/8 in gas tank, and return at 3/4 cuz i couldnt stop to fill it up and got charge $84 for gas. That was a rip off. Would not rent from this location again.....Arianny P.
Trailer was in good condition. I was charged "after hours service fee" of $20. When I called about it, both reps said it's because I didn't use the app to check back in. I was told at the U-Haul location to just leave it return lane. No one told me I had to check it in to avoid a fee. The reps said I agreed to the contract, and terms and condition. No contract/terms and conditions was ever presented to me, therefore I never signed anything. The reps said my agreement to the contract is implied. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A IMPLIED AGREEMENT THAT'S WHY THERE SUCH THING AS A CONTRACT AND IT WAS NEVER PRESENTED TO ME! All this nearly doubled the cost of my rental.DAVID L.

I had reserved containers for the Brighton location and was told I had to load instead in Boston just two days prior. This meant my drive went from the 10 minutes I was expecting up to 25 minutes. The service at the 985 Massachusetts Ave. location was also absolutely awful. People were short with me and it seemed like an inconvenience to the staff each time I had to have them open the warehouse door so I could get into my U-Boxes. It would take 15 minutes sometimes while I waited on the street. No one informed me that the warehouse, where I was loading my U-Boxes had shorter hours than the rest of the location so one of my trips was completely in vain. When I asked those in the store up front where the warehouse folks were and if they could assist they looked at me like that was a completely unreasonable request. Moving is already stressful and I did everything I could in advance to ensure this would be as smooth as possible. It felt like U-Haul, particularly this location, was doing everything it could to make it more difficult for me to accomplish my move.David B.

Pickup location for one way rental was way too far to travel. One day out I was told that I had to travel 70 miles to pick up my trailer. After 45 minutes on the phone they were able to give me a location 20 miles away even though I had numerous haul locations much closer.Matthew P.
My reservation to pick up a UHAUL was at 9:30AM. I waited in line for 1,5 hours because there were about 20 people in line. I didn't get to the front of the register till 11AM. I think you should reimburse the next customer for their whole trip next time this happens.Thanh Hoa B.

I waited for over an hour in line even though I had made a reservation and filled out the pre-check in online. The van was good when I got it but upon returning it a few minutes late I was charged for a full second day with insurance and had to call UHaul to get the charges reversed.Laura Catherine O.
I had to wait in line for an hour to pick up my vehicle due to poor staffing or slow work speeds. I also reserved a van online, put in all the information to â€œspeed up the processâ€ yet had to provide all the same things over again. On top of that, I explicitly did not ask for the $20 insurance coverage when I booked online yet I was charged with it at the shop, effectively taking $20 from me. This, coupled with the slowest u-haul process I've ever experienced, would not make me want to go there again.Eric J.
The service is excellent. I believe the movers you choose is the make or break it of this service (in my opinion). I chose the full delivery Ubox pickup and drop off service and it was the best decision. The movers dropped off the Ubox on the same day, loaded it with my already packed items and dropped it off at a Ubox center. The movers who picked up my Ubox helped me dis-assemble my bed and exercise bike. I asked them ~2 days in advance and they said yes! My Ubox with other uboxes where shipped to their long distance location. The Ubox arrived almost 2 weeks earlier than I expected. I did not need to pay for extra storage. My Ubox was picked up from my long distance location by the movers and brought into my apartment on the agreed date. Make sure to get your personal padlock for the Ubox. Also remember to keep the key to this padlock in a safe place (you remember and easily have access to) because you will need to open your Ubox. Depending on the state you reside in, you may or may not need a parking permit for the Ubox (during the time of loading). If you live in an apartment complex and there is a parking dock, you may not need it. Ubox will let you know if you need a parking permit. The Ubox is big! It can comfortably hold the items that make up a one bedroom (and even a 2 bedroom apartment). All my items came in tact. I packed my things in a duffle and packing extra large light weight duffle bags you can get on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B09Q1XNBB4?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title This helped to conserve space.Loretta A.

We arrived without a reservation. After asking for a box van, a woman in the lot (not the one who helped us at the counter), said rudely, "it isn't going to happen. We'll have to go to another town to get one." We immediate went on line because we saw many trucks in the lot and got a truck that was in the lot. She was lazy and would have had us driving all over when we clearly did not need to. The woman who helped us at the counter was helpful and courteous.Mark K.
Got ripped off for $81. Brought the truck back at 5:30 pm, 90 minutes from closing, and they waited 14 hours to check out the truck. They added 10 miles we didn't go and had us using an extra 1/8 tank of gas we didn't use, all for about $81 in fake charges. It's my fault for not taking a pic to prove this but who expects to be ripped off? I'm a long time regular customer, giving Uhaul thousands of dollars every year for over a decade, so getting ripped off really pisses me off. Someone is crooked at this location. My customer service representative that booked my storage unit wasn't helpful at all!! He never offered to scan my license until after 40 minutes of me telling him I couldn't take a picture of my license with my phone. The storage was great. My locker was in a perfect location. The tall gentleman who spoke little to no English / Maybe Dominican was the ABSOLUTE BEST AND KINDEST SOUL . He was always super friendly and kind. He would always come by my storage unit and say hello. The lines inside made it unbearable to rely on. The garage door to get to the unit was a nightmare and always being blocked by actual UHAUL trucks made no sense . The Staff at front desk did not seem appreciated by upper management, as their motivation to be friendly wavered and depended on who was working. From my own experience in their position they need support and to be treated better because it show that they are clearly not. The turn over seems low but their energy seems even lower which implies a level on distain for their employer. That someone isn't listening to them not appreciating their efforts in showing up. Set up my unit, was told they would change the lock in about a week to a circle lock and they would put the key in the managers office. Came back to get my things out a month or so later and they had lost the key. Some of the staff was very nice, but the assistant manager was not. So they people that work there were not helpful like 6 employees were just laying around literally all over the store. On their phones. They all stared as I walked in no one wanted to help me. One young woman reluctantly got up and gave me the card needed. At that point she sat back down and finished her phone conversation. Once I found the unit I had no idea there were stairs to use I then walked back over. She said it's stairs in there asked one of the other associates to assist and they completely ignored me. When I went in to empty my storage I noticed that the pipes have been leaking on to my stuff and more than five items had been damaged with mold. The unit was great. Very secure and dry, no water, moisture or rodent damage to anything in there despite it being in there for 1,5 years untouched. Had some very valuable art in there and zero issues. Access is easy, lots of carts and space. Lots of carry carts for moving stuff to and from your vehicle to your unit. Staff worked fast to get us checked in and helped us drop off our rental trailer. The people in the showroom are immature and are undertrained. I always felt uncomfortable being on property mainly by uhual employees following me. I would attempt to ask for help and it was either "pass-the-buck" or the staff didnt speak english. I had an issues with getting access during hours of operation and was threatened with staff calling the cops if i didnt leave them alone. Yet i needed help. Overall very unprofessional and misinformed to later find out, after designated a locker, my storage required climbing a ladder. The only thing I suggest is that there is a little bit more order when u need to park the truck to load your storage…. It was a bit confusing, there was cars parked where the trucks need to park and there was a gate the was not able to be used … a little hectic. The manager was extremely helpful in arranging a second unit for us when needed during move in. I do with the facility's hours were a bit later, as it can be tough to get off work, go get my car, and then get to the U-haul facility to move stuff out before 7pm.Kyle G. | Expérience générale
I won't say she wasn't helpful. What I will say is this. When someone is renting or trying to figure out if there at the right place or nit. I just feel and I say I feel it should be more compassionate with people. I may have been at the wrong place I tried to explain to her why would I drop the truck of some place differently if I need storage. She did help me and I think it's because it looks like she was Theo nay one trying to deal with all the customer she had. Waited in line for an hour only to receive the news that the key put on my storage unit by uhaul was lost and could not be cut because only one person had the ability to do so. Had to extend a rental car and had no access to any of my furniture and college supplies. Terrible experience and would not recommend. First of all, it is not clear where to check in for storage facilities. We were yelled at by several employees when we drove onto the uhaul Lot. We asked for assistance on where to park and where to go and no one would help. We circled the block a couple times and after parking on the street, found our way back to the office, right where we had been told we couldn't park! We had a confirmed reservation for a storage unit, but we were told they were all sold out and our reservation meant nothing. What a joke. Horrible experience! Unprofessional rude staff. The website states we can bring our own lock, but the staff at the counter tried to sell me yours, saying if I used mine it would be cut by the manager while on its round! Really poor customer service. The two girls were friendly and nice but the gentleman was rude and wasn't helpful. May be I am Asian with brown skin. That's what he made me feel like. When I went to ask something about the rental, he wanted me to go back to end of line and wait 30 minutes. He walked us to our storage unit, explained where we should unload, and helped out when another customer was unpleasant to us. I didn't like the way manger handle the situation. We gave him proof that we have a month free: to reimburse the money back to the account. He just walked around and keep saying I'll get to it, and said ooh we don't have unit for free here. We spoke to customer service and they did say we can get our refund, they even asked us to speak to the manager there. It turns out it's the same manager giving us hard time. The young lady was not helpful. I stay there literally for an hour waiting for the manager to get back to me. He still didn't get to it. So this is my last time coming to this U-Haul place. I'll take my business somewhere else. The young lady also keep repeating that I should go to Brockton where I picked up the truck to have them given me a unit in Brockton not there unit.Anna M. | Premières impressions

My overall experience was good until the apparent mouse infestation. Everything was covered with mouse droppings, and I basically threw everything away.
