The truck I rented was extremely dirty! it had a dirty face mask on the floor and dirty tissues on the middle seat! When I went inside people working at the desk did not have a mask on. When I returned the truck, 3 gentleman were there non with any mask on again!!! I went in to ask if they were supposed to clean the trucks after each use. I asked about how tolls worked and few other questions. They were not very welcoming. Or seemed to want to even be bothered with me. I asked when the manager was in and left. As I was leaving they were mocking me and laughing!!! I will never go back to that location ever again. The employees there were very unprofessional!!! I am also confused by my calculations for the rest of the miles I didn't use. If it's $1.59 a mile and I had 24 miles left of the 100, wouldn't I receive back $38.16. I only got $14. Horrible Service for sure!!!!!!!!!!

Please provide a rough estimate while making a reservation. It was showing $20 while making a reservation and final bill comes for a whooping $71 just for a hour and a half journey and 9 miles of distance traveled. Please look into the conflict resolution that I have raised with the manager and refund the money.

The young lady that assisted me was very nice however the other two girls where disrespectful to two customers one being and older lady giving her attitude with shaking her head and yelling the manager was not helpful at all when the gentlemen asked for the manager he was as rude as the two ladies. It's good to support your staff however the two rep where extremely disrespectful to the clients When the clients left and I was still waiting the reps where very expressive and not in a respectful way. Then on top I returned my rental at 11:10 the checked it in almost at one and charged me a whole day extra

Was told when I dropped off the vehicle that I would be sent a confirmation email with a receipt. Never got the email, then received multiple phone calls from the place accusing me of not returning the uHaul. A hassle to explain the situation. UHaul made an already stressful move even more awful.

After fully registering and completing all activities and information on-line, I along with all other customers were forced to dense-pack in a congested lobby, no distancing, and wait extended periods of time for customer service. When i finally reached an agent, he commented about having to go to the bathroom so bad, but not being able to due to long lines and understaffing. The van I received had under-inflated tires all around and the windshield and room were not cleared of some. Covid-19 lobby exposure risk combined with a vehicle that was a roadway hazard. I felt so bad for the location staff and customers. Inside staff was masked, but all outside staff were unmasked. No signs of vehicles being cleaned or prepared for safe transfer to paying customers. My interpretation of all of this is a sense that U-Haul believes it can get away with treating staff and customers (many with limited means and a need to move by end-of-month) poorly - almost like they have no other rental options. One gentleman ahead of me, clearly uncomfortable in the dense-packed space, asked if he had to be inside to complete the rental. The answer provided was - yes you do if you want to rent here. I hope this rental day and others at this location are not super-spreader events for Boston as we all try and do our best to limit the spread. I have always thought of U-Haul as a survivor, a great company. This experience was eye-opening. I wish this could be a better review. But in the end, I am left feeling bad for staff who were perhaps untrained and customers faced with tough choices.

I booked it for 10 am and I was suppose to get key but store did not open. I called customer service and had to wait nearly other hour to speak to representative and got alternative location and got uhaul after 3 hours. I had called movers who had to wait more than 3 hours. :(

The vehicle was well maintained but not clean. The rentals move quickly, and especially in these COVID times, please be more aware of cleanliness. Staff was courteous but overwhelmed by the volume of work.

It was a terrible experience. First, the staff members were not appropriately wearing masks. The car did not have sufficient air in one tire. in return was another issue that we went to the office to ask a question, there was a member named Jose who was pretty much screening how people go to the front line. I asked about extra gas we put there and he said, we say thank you and you should go. I mentioned that is not what the manager told us and said we get reimbursed. we went to the manager and he gave us his card. He was nice guy (named Edward Mc Carthy), but unfortunately, he was not wearing a mask. This is a bad example in this hard time. This morning both my husband and I woke up with cold symptoms and are on our way to get tested for Covid 19. I can not stress how important it is that a manager who works with people follows CDC guidelines and cares.

Fuel gauge on truck was malfunctioning. As a result, I overfilled the tank by an 1/8th. I asked for a refund but staff was not only unhelpful, but actually dismissed my concern. I have used Uhaul for many years, but based on this experience, I will never recommend Uhaul. This can be remedied by Uhaul issuing to me a refund of $9.97 (3 gallons) for the overfill. The person at the desk was not so attentive, Just rushed me through the process to get the truck. No one walked me through verifying the condition and the mileage and the fuel level of the truck before it taking it. They just left me the key without any guidance. When I came back they overcharged me on fuel even though I filled it back to where it was when I received it. I ended up paying $20 more than I expected

Out check in was quick 10 min and we were off with out move. We ordered furniture pads and andolly and they were in the the truck waiting for us. The truck was clean. The return was even easier. Just drove uo and left the truck in the designsted area. Very easy transaction and happy to use this location again.

Had two speakers stolen after leaving them unattended (my fault) for 5 min. The manager states that the vid camera wasn’t working and that there weren't any people/cars around and didn’t see anything. This statement leads me to believe he didn’t bother checking the video, because the place was super crowded (mass exodus from Boston), lots of people and cars were in and out while we were there. He didn’t bother to check. (It was too busy for him to check right after it happened - too many people at the counter. He wasn’t able to check the video when I asked him about it right after it happened. They were SLAMMED with people trying to store there stuff and get out of Boston (Covid). So when I followed up with pictures of the exact location the speakers weee stolen, etc. he said there was no one around that day and the cameras didn’t show anyone.) Leaving the cameras out at the corner right by my storage unit when they fell off the cart wa MY FAULT. Just wish I would have received more help from the manager.

1. I had reserved a 5x8 trailer. On my arrival the employee connecting it to my car found that the cables were broken so I had to take a motorcycle trailer as a replacement. It was smaller but I needed a trailer. I was billed for a motorcycle trailer. I should have been billed for the 5x8. 2. After a lot of work over the past 6 years this operation is getting its act together. When I first starting renting trailers from them it was terrible. Everything took 3 times longer than it should, none of the pre-rental information was used, I had to wait for everything. Yesterday was good, the pre-rental information was available and utilized by the service person, there was a man outside ready to hook it up. Uhaul rentals are very important; I am very glad to see that they have improved their quality. Keep it up!!

Check the alignment on the trucks. Put the policy more clear about needing a card to hold truck when picking up truck. Make sure all equipment paid to rent is included as well boxes and/or other items.

i have 2 complaints, about Uhaul itself. 1) Uhaul charges customers who do not put gas in the tank. HOWEVER Uhaul does NOT then FILL THE TANK w/ GAS! I literally received a truck that was so far below empty , I had to put $7.00 in the tank just to get it to 'E'. I then had to add gas above that line so i would not get charged, and so i would know if i was going to run out of gas. THIS IS LAZY and seems like SHADEY business - IF U CHARGE CUSTOMERS A FEE for AN EMPTY TANK. WHY DOES THE NEXT CUSTOMER HAVE TO FILL IT? Uhaul Makes money this way on gas. Seems Questionable at Best. 2) If theres damage on the TRUCK ,as there was in my case, then I expect UAHAUL to have that recorded. DONT MAKE ME CHECK EVERYTHING, INCLUDING THE ROOF to Find DAMAGE ! None of the damage on the truck i rented had been recorded. That should be Uhauls responsibility - but by doing it this way, THE CUSTOMER IS PUT IN A TRICKY SITUATION _ IF WE DONT CATCH THE DAMAGE< UHAUL MAY CHARGE US FOR IT UPON RETURN OF THE TRUCK. AGAIN - THIS SEEMS SHADEY! Contrary to that, i recently rented from Avis and THEY inspected the car, noting the damage prior to my taking the car. That was good customer care. Maybe Uhaul should do the same..unless being SHADEY is your M.O. 3. PS. The gas gauge was also listed as having 1/2 tank when i picked it up, even though it was very well below empty. Shadey? or Careless? Im not so sure.

There was also no direction given about how to use functions of the truck or when we were approved to leave the lot. Staff at register was friendly and helpful though

The service from 3 people was excellent but service was really bad I got charged for two days when I only had the truck for a day I was not supplied a lock to lock back of truck properly and almost all my property fell out of truck while driving and my belongings got damaged I was charged for items I did not use Jayson Matt and Ed were only employees that were trying to help everything else about my experience was bad besides being charged for 2 days instead of one I was charged on my card when I paid cash for my rental for the day and due to the fact of my belongings falling out the truck I couldn't bring rental back on time because of having to rearrange my stuff and couldn't make it back to storage on time so I can bring rental back by 8am had the rental back by 12pm same day

First the guy who help me renting the van was not rude but carless, no customer service at all, it looked like he didn't want to be there or help me and Was my first time renting a van so I was a little lost but he didn't specify very well. Besides that they charge me like 8 dollars for gas even tho I only drove 5 or 6 miles. There is no way I burn 8 dollars of gas in my trajectory. Over all this sucks sorry. First and last time in u-haul for me.

I showed up for a 7am pickup with my wife. This lot is in a dangerous location and wide open lot which allowed pedestrians to loiter around us as we were identifying and securing our vehicle. The vehicle identified for me had two tires with air pressure below 40 lbs and the inside indicator clearly stated the tires were low. With the location not yet open I had to find a service station and fill the tires to an appropriate level. Why didn't the employee who prepared the vehicle the night before make these corrections? Not a great customer experience

The staff inside the location were not wearing masks, not just behind the register, but as they walked around the store and interfaced with customers. If this were not the only U-haul near me I would have never used their service. I mobile ordered items to avoid waiting in line and staying in the store longer than necessary and each time they never had it together. An employee even laughed and said “you expected it to be ready when it says it's ready? You can go grab everything yourself.” When I came in the last time, the line was out the door with only two people on the register. One of the staff walked around and did tedious tasks while the line grew and everyone in it grew impatient. I have worked in retail before. If the line picks up, you pause what you are doing to help customers. When I went outside to pick up my truck I waited for fifteen minutes for someone to even come check in with me and when they got there the truck didn't have my dollies in it, which she said on the walkie talkie several times. This location is in need of significant retraining so they can learn how to prioritize the safety of their customers, in the middle of a PANDEMIC, during a stressful time such as moving. I will never use this U-Haul again and maybe won't patronize the business at all going forward.

Very hard to reach someone at the store when you call the automated services. May hinder others from getting storage units if they're in the market such as I. Also the emergency brake felt a little weak when pulling so I'm not sure if it's meant to be that way.

While my storage unit was well secured and the staff was super helpful, when I emptied out my unit I found that mice had been living in it. I found mice fecal matter all around and on/in my stuff, and several of my books were damaged because mice got into my boxes and chewed on them. I did not have any food in my storage unit. I thought U-Haul and future customers may want to know this.

The Manager Ed was pleasant, accommodating and a true believer in customer satisfaction! I felt valued s a consumer as a result of the way in which I was treated by Ed the manager. That is the example I believe he models for his employees. I received excellent service at the register, and after needing some questions and by the manager the other team member cleaned the van I was renting with a smile. The in store associates were pleasant and extremely helpful answering all my questions and making the the process of renting the storage and the vehicle a seamless process !

To be fair, the office was overcrowded so the employees were overwhelmed. That said, I was given completely unclear directions. I was told that I would not be able to access my locker past 5pm, while the web and subsequent emails have all claimed 24 hour access as a feature of the storage. Being forced out at 5pm meant I was unable to complete my unload and friends and loved ones who had offered to help me were badly inconvenienced. Your system was down. The customer service person behind the desk (young man with a beard) took forever to register us. The young lady working next to him served 2 or 3 groups of customers in the time it took him to serve us. We waited 25-30 minutes to check out a rental van and register for a storage space. The attendant did not speak clearly and proceeded to eat his breakfast in front of us while we patiently waited for him to finish. Then after waiting that long, he hand wrote some scribbled info on a half sheet of paper, tore it off and handed it to use so we could be on our way. Not once did he apologize for the lengthy delay or thank us for our business. My experience with previous rentals at other locations has been fine. This was incredibly poor. I have a future rental booked at this location already that I am thinking of canceling.

The staff here is awful and one time an employee was screaming at me to move my car even though it was parked legit. The manager of the facility didn’t seem to care what I went to him about the issue, neither did the regional manager. They charged the wrong CC one also and were unable to process a refund and simply put on the right CC, Otherwise the staff here is alway pretty rude and unhelpful.... I’d go out of my way to tell people to avoid this place...

So, this was a convenient option for quick storage. The manager specifically does a great job taking care of lots of people and employees, not all of whom are always in great moods. A few things I would improve include time from intake to checkout (it took a while), and the fact that my storage unit didn't have a full wall up to the ceiling, so an enterprising thief could get in and out without needing to pick a lock.

I saw a rat in the basement , and there was oil from a unit that leaked under the wall and onto the floor of my basement unit. In my unit on the second floor, we found a rat's nest under my sofa.
