From the time I called to find out about renting a U-Haul cube van, to the meeting in person. My expirience from start to finish was phenomonal. The people I dealt with were all very professional and were very knowledgeable. I would definitely rent from U-Haul again in the near future. Thanks again .

It took me 2 days to get storage and it was not ready and not clean. I waisted so much time on Friday and Tarik said everything OK on Friday and he didn't rent it to me, I came on Saturday and Dave have no info in the computer. Its very frustrated, and anointing and after that my unit not clean and not ready.

Rent a 6x12 trailer and when arrived the equipment wasn't available for pickup at Regent location, they send me to McPhillips. It wasn't a failure of the location but from uhal that couldn't release the trailer for rent. Lost precious hours in my long trip of more than 2000km. I will never count with U-Haul reability anymore. Had to postpone my trip one day and rebook my hotels. Lots of calls and time $$ wasted

The space was not secure nor safe. Regularly there were people gathered (blocking) the halls chopping bikes, obviously stolen. Did not feel safe entering to access my unit. Garbage and burned wires (from collecting copper) were left in the parking lot along with garbage and other debris. Would not recommend this location.

Ensure that the item I've reserved and paid in advance to have at a determined time will actually be there when I need it! Being told 3 hours in advance of my anticipated trans-provincial move that the trailer is no longer available added significant stress and potential hardship. Either add more inventory, or just increase the penalty for late returns. Really simple solutions! I'm sure we'll all benefit from rentals being returned on time for the next person!

We were doing a long distance move and were required to return our trailer back in the original city we were moving from. It involved and extra 14 hours of driving. Very disappointed in u haul. We do have a u haul location in our new city but we're not allowed to return it there.

When a customer makes a reservation for a pick up and drop off at a specific location and uhaul decides they should pick up and drop off across the city it makes you wonder what a reservation means to uhaul.

Not sure. Sometimes when reserving a trailer it's not clear if the unit will be available on that day which is not good as people make arrangements in particular for that day and are relying on getting the unit. This happened to us one time. We made a reservation then the evening before we were to pick up we got a phone call from the company to say that the trailer was not available and so were sent to another location to pick up a smaller size one to the one we had reserved as that was all that was available at the time. This affected the arrangements that we had made and we then had to work around that inconvenience.

If I could rate this as 0 stars I definitely would. We put our sectional up for sale as the storage fees are ridiculous. The buyer could not pick up the sectional up until 4 days into a new month I told there was no refund for the remaining days of the month that we weren't using the unit. Therefore, they can rent out that unit and make almost double on it in 1 month. There was no light in that unit plus the ceiling looked like it was starting to fall in guess that's why there no light in it. I will never rent a storage unit from uhaul again and I will also not refer anyone to use uhaul. I was not shown how to check in or check out so I had no clue how to even get into the uni someone else had to show me.

The payment/deposit system is a disaster. I shouldn't have to come back the day after I've returned the unit to get the rest of my deposit back. That should be automatic. Absolute gong-show.

Very Rude customer service to the one i spoke First around 3:30pm , her sounds was disgusting that you never want to talk to that customer service staff. Just when u missed your drop off time , as part of your customer service job, you should remain calm, respectful and you never argue with customer. Please train seriously your staff who has no rights to act as if their customers are their employees. I am so disappointed.

A quick tour of the operating features by the hosting company. I drove around for an hour before I finally figured out where the button was to turn the towing feature off on the transmission. Only to realize that there was a sticker on the dash telling me exactly what to do. Fill the gas tank, for god's sake. We know that it's easier for you if you don't and you'll always get "extra" gas out of the client. But it's that little thing that pisses people off until one day, they are no longer your client.

Unfortunately we had a big problem with one of the tires on the passengers side. Maintenance guy Cody from surgeon tire, came by to check the tire! We found out that the tire was loose and could have came out at any time. Cody said it was dangerous to drive around and could not fix it. I have no complaints about what had happened. This will not stop me from renting a trailer at some time in the future. Have a good day. I show the video to the lady at the Uhaul on Mcphillips. Take care...

Wasn't able to use debit card for payment, was sent to bank to pull our cash, was given the incorrect amount to take out and had to go back to bank for more cash. ALSO WASNT GIVEN CHANGE! Tried calling store all evening before it closed and no answer. Received truck later than expected time and was told it was returned later than the 24 hours rented. Asked for my $10 change and was told it needed to be investigated before they can provide me my change. Was also charged for going over KM but was advised in MILES what was included. Why tell me what KM were included in my rental, when the truck is in MILES???? Overall worst experience, not a very smooth and efficient experience. But this hasn't been the first time this has happened with uhaul.

First time renter, I was shocked that my preferred location meant nothing and I was reassigned to this one across town. I would not recommend UHAUL to anyone based off how online booking preferences guarantee nothing unless you pay the insane fee of $50 to reserve exactly your needs. Uhaul is marketed as a professional company but instead it was a free for all, where you can state your desired vehicle, time and location, but nothing is guaranteed even though the website will recommend you choose ones that should optimize your pick, it doesn't. The mileage cost to pick up and return the vehicle cost me $20!

The Mcphillips location was my pick up location by default: I began the process by wanting to rent a 10' truck at the Dawson location (online), but it came up as being unavailable. I then went to a 15'. I called the 1-800 number to ensure that it was properly set up, for the Dawson location. I arrived at the Dawson location yesterday morning at 9 am only to find that, although they had the reservation, they didn't have a truck. They sent me up to the Mcphillips location. I drove across town to the Mcphillips location, only to find out that they didn't have a truck for me. They offered a 20' truck. I started out needing a 10', and now I've been moved to a 20'! I called the 1-800 to discuss: after waiting over 30 minutes for an agent, I got cut off. Called again, finally got through, and 'Charlotte' was unwilling or unable to offer any solutions, saying it was a 'U-Haul problem". Funny, I thought I was dealing with U-Haul..... I took the 20' truck, as that was all that I was offered. It was way too large for my needs, used a lot more fuel than I needed to use, my mileage was excessive because I had to drive back across town to get back to my starting point, and then had to drive right back across town to return it, because I was given no other option than to return the truck back to the Mcphillips location, which, as I have mentioned, was across town from where I needed the truck. From the time I left home to pick up the truck at Dawson to the time I finally got back home with a truck cost me 3 hours of my day. Should have been no more than 20 minutes if someone hadn't screwed up and had arranged for the truck I reserved to be at the Dawson location as promised. Not happy, not impressed. Waiting for someone from U-Haul to take ownership of this fiasco and offer compensation for my time, fuel and mileage that was wasted because of failed promises by U-Haul.

I now actively recommend that people I know do NOT use uHaul. My reservation was not honoured. I was charged more for fuel than I should have been. The customer service people explained nothing. Will never use this company again.

U-Haul gave me less than a days notice that my rental for a one-way truck wasn't available in Brandon and that I had to instead pick up a cargo van in Winnipeg. This was very inconvenient and the van was much smaller than what I had intended to rent. I barely was able to fit my possessions into the van. It was very stressful and inconvenient and it cost more money than my initial booking. Terrible experience. Very unprofessional.

Absolutely horrible experience!!! Expecting customers to use the link at drop off is terrible service. It took over 20 minutes. How do you expect people without a phone, elderly, etc to do that?! And then to charge you I'd you done. Absolutely unacceptable

The vehicle was extremely dirty. I had to use my Lysol wipes when I got in. Also the engine light was on due to being 2 litres low on oil and the guy didn't even check it.

Everything was great and it all went smoothly. However, I still don't quite understand why vehicles aren't just provided with full tanks so they can be returned full. Having a seemingly arbitrary fuel level at pickup It makes the process of trying to determine exactly how much to fill the tank to get it back to that level a real pain. While I appreciate the information provided to help determine just how much is required, not all fuel gauges are provided with sufficient number of hash marks to help estimate proper fill. And in fact it may require a customer to *over-fill* in order to account for gas usage driving from the gas station to the pickup/dropoff location. This is what I did and wound up returning the vehicle with more gas in the tank than I started with. That difference is non-refundable and is essentially free gas for U-Haul, provided at the customer's expense. When I did enquire about this at the location, I was told that it's too easy to "over-fill" the tank to the point where it's possible to drive for a while before the gauge starts registering any fuel consumption so people can do short hops and return it with a "full tank" despite having done some driving. I feel that's a nonsensical argument given how much gas those things guzzle.

The staff were very nice and informative. Everything went as planned without issues. There were people there who were late about 2 hours for their pick up time so their reservation was canceled, but I think it fair so make sure you come at the time you booked. We booked online ahead of the time it was easy and fast.

The lot was a little crowded with u-haul vehicles, as I tried to pull away with my truck and trailer after emptying my locker, I had to get out and physically move a small u-haul utility trailer from blocking my exit. No big deal, but leaving room to enter and exit is a good idea! Otherwise very good service.

The outside door for access to the storage hallway was damaged and could not gain access. The U-haul representative had to go around and open the door from the inside. She indicated that they would have there repair personnel repair it soon. I have not been back yet to check if it was repaired.

I paid for 1 unit then they realized it had a lock on it so received a refund and then they gave me a unit at the Notre Dame facility. So when we get there no lock as was stood to me would be. Took a walk around with my phone in hand checking other units as was told by associate to do. Then he told me I'd have to.go.back to store to get a lock. Thankfully the manager at Notre Dame was a.very helpful man and he took his.personal truck to go get me a lock.
