Arrived at address customer service provided at time of reservation for a unit. Was told to go to a different location to obtain lock and paperwork by a maintenance worker at the storage location. Arrived at location that remotely manages the storage unit location. No ONE was in the office to help customers. When the 2 girls actually came in there was no rush to assist us that had been waiting. In the middle of checking into my reservation. Girl stopped to go help another customer. Absolutely the worse customer service I have ever experienced!!!!! Was late to return U-Haul to another location due to not being informed as to address. Calling the phone number for help is a joke of recordings.

I called the location I got placed on hold for 15 mins. Once I got a rep to help I got placed on hold and had no help. I went to the location and I could see why I wasn't getting no help on the phone. There was only 1 rep who was helping the 8 customers that were in line. On top of that the rep kept answering calls and placing them on hold and wasn't going back to speak to them and had them on hold like when I was on hold. After waiting for 30 mins another rep came in and was just slowly walking in like he didn't see there was a line and helped another client who wasn't even in line. Then the issue with your system both of the reps computers were not loading. It took longer than it should have.

I had a really hard time getting in touch with the Placentia office when trying to contact a live person. Their calls were often forwarded to the call center regardless of day/time.

Daniel has been great over the years. He has great customer service skills, always willing to help and very professional. His team is friendly and welcoming. I will definitely come back and use this facility in the future if needed. The facility is clean and well maintained, I always felt safe there no matter what time it was. I was not concerned with the safety of my belongings. I highly recommend this location.

I don't even know where to start so here's a list: -24/7 access randomly removed from my account for no reason (2019?). -Not charging my auto pay card, and locking me out of storage, causing my business to lose money -Storage manager is impossible to get ahold of. Whoever I talked to on the phone around 12-2am in October 2022, was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. They very clearly did not care about the situation, and just wanted me off the phone. I know for a fact I could've been helped - considering in a previous similar situation, a manager was able to grant me access to my unit after hours. I was denied access because U-Haul failed to charge my operational payment method. The rep told me my card had expired, I asked her to read me back the expiration date, which was in 2025. I asked her to explain that, which she couldn't. This mistake put me behind schedule a full day, making us late at a critical moment. I would tell anyone looking for a storage space that they are better off paying a homeless encampment to watch their stuff, than to trust U-Haul with their storage needs.

I paid for almost 5 years I could not be accommodated by staff or management when I had issues . I was treated with such disrespect by most employees. I am seeking a lawyer since I could not get ahold of staff to get my belongings out and they locked me out with no good explanation. So I lost my most valuable items after paying for almost 5 years . Only reason I moved out not an money issue a Thief issue. And when informed they didn't have any compassion or concern . Very unprofessional and heartbreaking to know I paid all those years to be treated unfair & as if my complaints weren't a concern to them .

It took 4 different U-Haul units to house all my belongings for almost 4 yrs. I was comforted by the fact that my stuff was kept safe and close to me. Over the years I've rented trucks and trailers and now these storage units. Everything was clean, well maintained, and the at each facility was professional and helpful. Particularly those where my belongings were kept for so long. Thanks U-Haul!

Immediately cancelled the storage unit. Was not advised the 10 x10 unit only had a 36 inch entrance door, to small an opening to get what I had to get inside. Should have been told door opening size at counter. Also, not told storage site was not as same location where I rented the truck. Otherwise the experience good.

The only complaint I have is with the manager and the cleaning lady. The cleaning lady told the manager we were drinking alcohol and that wasn't true also we left our car . I called the office and asked if there would be a problem to leave the car while I take u haul truck. I told her I would be right back for it and was told no problem then I get a rude call saying they saw us drinking and why did we leave car. She should have got her facts before talking to me like that. I don't know if I will rent a storage again after that . My daughter is dying and I went to Arizona to get her belongings. And there was absolutely no reason to disrespect me like that

Easy rental process. But when I arrived at my unit, I had two unexpected surprises. First, there was no light bulb in the unit, and since I arrived at night, I had to go to the store to buy one just so I could see what I was doing. Secondly, my unit did not have an entry way facing the street. My unit entry door was at the end of a corridor in a side door, which made getting a long couch into it challenging. If the app made it apparent about the access door to my unit was in a side corridor door, I probably would not have rented it and look for one with a door facing the street. But not having light when I arrived I fault bad maintenance/management by uHaul.

When I first reserved a unit I was told at the office on my move in date that the unit was not available and that no units where open to rent.... So I left and checked online to make sure I had the right place I did so I paid for the unit online and was given an access code and unit number.... Why is it I was told no if I could do it myself

I objected nearly every month to an insurance fee and stated that I have my own insurance. The fees were never reversed. Service at their off site facility in Placentia was marginal. They were helpful during the move-out process, but I would not recommend this location to anyone.

I tried calling numerous times to confirm my reservation and never got through to an associate. I would be put on hold for prolonged periods of time. I decided to go directly to the office on my move in day. When I got there, there were two employees sitting there doing nothing. Not on the phone with other customers or doing other tasks. The two employees were not helpful at all. Initially, we were not greeted by the two male employees and we were the only customers in the office/store. Finally, the older gentleman directed me to the younger associate to assist me. It took a while for him to find my reservation. Finally, the associate told me that i was the 5th reservation and there were only 4 units available and since it must go in order of reservation, I would not be able to move in to a unit as initially reserved online. I would need to wait until an auction opens up later in the month for an available unit. This was concerning as I was expecting to move my things in and it was already the end of the day for my reservation. I left disappointed and checked online again to find the online booking and move in process. I was able to book and gain access immediately. I would suggest better training for employees and better service.

My biggest problem was being able to get through to someone on the phone. I tried for 3 days to call to close my account and was on hold for over an hour each time. A call center maybe would finally pick up and send me right back to the main line where i would continue to hold until i would give up. I finally had to drive over an hour to go to the office in person and close my account. It was a horrible experience. You know, moving is hard enough without having to make continuous calls with no avail. When i questioned the guy at the counter after driving an hour and waiting in ling for another 20 or 30 min. All he could say was " cant you see were busy" wow!

First I tried to reach someone on Friday but spent over an hour on hold. I eventually went to the local office for assistance. Then they accidentally double booked the unit. I booked and paid for the unit at the office on Friday. On Saturday, when I went to move in, another person was also moving in. He had booked and paid online Saturday morning. i tried calling the office and waited on hold for 15 minutes only to learn that I was speaking to someone in a call center and not in the office for the facility. (Storage is on one site, Fullerton, while the office was in another, Placentia) I also learned that the storage system was down so they couldn't even look up my account. We had to go over to the office and the staff was very helpful. They came over to the storage facility and had to check each room before they could assign a new unit since the system was down. So, my 2 issues with the experience are: You can't call and speak with anyone at the store, you only can speak to someone at a call center and that happens after being on hold. The fact that I can't ever speak ever with anyone at the local office is not only inefficient but poor service. Having a unit double booked is extremely inefficient AND horrible service for the customer. You guys have a ways to go before I would say you provide good service. Your prices are great and the staff at the local office is friendly and helpful. Those are the 2 reasons I would possibly recommend Uhaul storage. But I would tell them about my experience and tell them to be careful and put a lock on your unit as soon as you are assigned a space.

Uhaul is a great company that is always available to try and assist with all moving needs. They would rent out spare Limbs to amputees if that were any kind of possible addition to rentals that could help people that don't like to hire movers and drivers for their personal priorities.

Until now I don't know if my Key Card and Clicker will work in the storage Facility. Time is the only thing that I dont have abundance, but calling for help, I wait , then we thought its ok, they ask me to come back to the main office, I really thought they fixed the problem but when I got back to the storage, its like I just a good half a day of my life trying to get inside my storage unit and get some very important stuff that is needed for my appeal to my visitation rights which the Mother tried to keep me from seeing my daughter, that resulted to a very difficult time in my life.

I would rate excellent but I have been unable to move into my storage unit. The key fob I was given to access the storage site did not work. I went back to the center and I was informed there was a technical isssue about my info being transferred over so I can access the storage site. Was told I would be given a call once it has been corrected but have yet recorded that call, it has been about 24 hours now. I tried calling the center back but was transferred to customer support and was informed they would message the center to call me but still have not received that call back. Am I going to be paying for a unit that I cannot access?

I have been trying to reach a staff member at this location for a week to discuss obtaining a larger unit. No one has returned my calls, although customer service has promised a return call. In addition, I am not moved in yet and I am being charged from the reservation date. I am scheduled to move on February 3rd and I am extremely worried.

Outstanding staff and manager provided quality service for a great price. The manager Tara is wonderful and caring to all customers. The property unit was in outstanding shape. The grounds and bathroom were very clean. The price is very reasonable. I highly recommend this facility to anyone. I give the manager, staff and property unit a 5 star review

The CS individual I worked with, Edgar was rude and called me an expletive. Requested to speak and deal with the Manager Tara who was pleasant and helpful. The gate opener and card would not work after 5 attempts going back and forth between the storage facility and the main office. Nelson worked diligently on the problem and got the situation fixed. My hat is off to both Tara and Nelson, but Edgar should be reprimanded.

Hours say 24/7 access but was in formed by star they are 5am-10pm. Then the "night watchman told be more like 6-7am till maybe 10pm. Had to go to a totally different location for paperwork as no staff just a wastchman at the storage location. Then I was scheduled for 1st month free and pay second month. The staff tried telling me I pay 1st month and get second month free. In the end I got the first month and insurance free. These people suck!-- never again will in work with Uhaul. My over all experience has been so stressful!!!

Only problem i encountered was probably my own fault but billing seems alittle bit off.i moved in on 24 rent was due the 24 th i pay bills at begining of month thru 10th or so then everything is done. I looked at app it showed due aug 24 2020 $0.00.so i thought like the first month free was because i rented a uhaul truck within last 2 yrs and i rented one the day we move into unit so i didnt questiin it unril i fir email saying i owed eent on uhaul.. but really thank toodness for that email.. thank u for all thw help u did provided me and my son 24 202

This is the second unit i rent. 1st unit , when i got there , it was rented to someone else. Had to drive to the main office and cancel that unit, credit my card, rent another unit, ect. The people here were great! I came in here crying because the budget rental place down the street overbooked and told me there were no more trucks even though I had a confirmation email. I was so upset, and they were unable to help me get a truck from another location. I was in tears and frustrated because today was my only day to move and I didn't plan on spending more money to go elsewhere. I came to this uhaul location, and the woman was so kind and understanding and did her best to help me find a rental in my budget. When I came back later that day, the check in process was quick and easy and the man who helped me was very friendly and eager to help. Thank you Uhaul for saving the day! Your customer service was better than expected, the trucks were kept nice and well maintained and easy to drive! Awesome stuff.

Threatening a customer that her rental was reported stolen by the computer and she would be pulled out of the vehicle in front of her kids by gun point because an email requesting an extension was not acknowledge?d is not how u treat rental customers. I will not rent from a uhaul again after that experience... And I will advise my friends not to do so either..

your prices are creeping up too high but the place and the customer service is fantastic also you need to put back the lighting inside the storage units. that was one of the selling features for me when I first came there years ago the Storage Bends are too big to not have lighting inside of them.thank you

The staff at this location are extremely professional and capable! Customer experience was horrible on my first time with Uhaul I'm a military Vet I have respect for people but it seemed I wasn't given the same back. I got charged for mileage even though I was going to return it on the the same place. Lady said insurance is mandatory, and just for moving 11 miles total I was charged $77. Money is not an issue it was just the experience was bad. I would not go back to Angela Behrendt. He said no AAA discount or Veterans discount. No unlimited in town miles. Never coming back to this location.

I appreciate the great communication from uhaul. I was scheduled to pick up van at Placentia location and called me the day before to pick up at Orangethorpe location instead. Check out was fast and around the block. Van work well, no problems. Clean and not dented up, no window chips or broken cab equipment. Office area was clean and presentable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will rent from Uhaul again.

pricing is a little high or at least a discount for renting multi units.just a few short years ago you had a few fantastic dollies to use for free you replace them with an average dolly bring back the fantastic dollies for free.I have 3 average dollies I don't need to rent one.the couple who run the storage units are absolutely fantastic people.

This place has limited vehicles available for rent but with surrounding locations nearby that really isn't a huge concern. This place was great and Clyde was an exceptional attendant. He made my experience completely worry free and was a phenomenal help. =)

As I commented on the phone to the salesperson, the vans air conditioner was very low and because of the bar between the cab and the back very little to no air made it back there. We deliver flowers so I had to have my driver make separate trips because the flowers could not stay in the back for very long. However the scheduling and pick up was very convenient and staff was easy to work with

Whoever was supposed to open that morning did not show up, leaving us outside at 7 am in the cold but after calling twice, the Uhaul main office number called the manager and the manager came in and took care of things. He gave us a few extra hours on our rental and a $50 off coupon for next time and apologized. That was nice but hopefully it wont happen again because it put us way behind on our days schedule.
