Well, I moved in on 10/26/2020 and was out on 11/26/2020 and you want to charge me $149 for 11/26/2020 to 12/26/2020 not going to happen once the charge hits my card I am reversing it. Totally disgusting that you offer 1 free month and if the person stops using the storage at the 1 month mark you charge them for another month. That along with the insane prices you charge for a rental truck to move is disgusting.

U-haul storage facility staff on Panama Lane in Bakersfield, CA took care of my accommodations in a friendly and professional manner. Any questions or concerns I had in my 4 month experience were promptly addressed. There were a few things that were irritating that I did not bring to their attention, but that did not reflect on their professionalism as they were either normal nuances or caused by other disrespectful renters. I paid an additional monthly fee for 24 hour access to my unit, which is why that portion was convenient, despite having to pay extra. My unit was of the smaller variety, so it's access was indoors. The indoor lighting was adequate, yet activated by motion sensors which became irritating when they would shut off while I was in the unit, forcing me to walk through the halls to make them turn back on. On my last day while moving out, there was another renter who was very rude and disrespectful. He had an outdoor unit near the entrance door where my unit was located. While I was inside, I heard a vehicle horn honking, so I went out to investigate. This guy was angry that I was parked in front of his unit which was because I had a U-haul trailer attached to my vehicle. I moved for him and carried on with emptying my unit, but he had another vehicle inside his unit which he started and left running for several minutes. The toxic exhaust fumes traveled through the enclosed building making it difficult to breathe. If that wasn't bad enough, he turned his stereo to max volume for about 20 minutes and the bass decibels caused the entire building to rattle and buzz adding to the stress level and headache caused by the toxic fumes. These issues aren't caused by the staff and I'm sure they would have dealt with the other renter, but I didn't address the situation because I was hurrying to move out before the office closed and figured the guy wouldn't be there long. On a positive note, U-haul has been a pleasurable company to do business with when I've needed to move and when I've had to store my belongings. I will continue to do business with and recommend them to family and friends for my future needs.

For years I rented at this facility, it was always spotless... unbelievably so. The management could be very harsh(in an extremely unprofessional way) but VERY on top of the up keep and cleanliness of the entire property especially the restroom! Once the new management took over it is nothing short of being the complete opposite. Everything is filthy, the restroom is nasty, no toilet paper or paper towels on top of the filthiness it smells like an outhouse, literally. Very sad.

the only thing i didnt enjojed was an excessive amount of equipment parked on the drivevay where the storage is,often times oanoter customer was parked parallel and was difficult to get by.

The only thing I didn’t like was that when I became backed up with my payment they would’ lock me out my storage unit for the reason beign that I got backed up on my payment
Their locks are expensive and I wasn’t always able to go thru the entrance because my 24hr access clicker wasn’t opening the entrance gate. I think the gate was broke, I went thru the exit gate a lot.

IT WAS GREAT. BUT UHAULS "SYSTEM" COULDNT REFUND MY PAYMENT EVEN THOUGH I MOVED MY BELONGINGS THE SAME DAY MY AUTO PAYMENT WENT THROUGH. SO ANOTHER $65 FOR A MONTH FOR AN EMPTY STORAGE UNIT.
