This location has front desk staff (Female) that are inexperienced and rude! My card has been charged a third time and equipment was only used 1 day and returned same day..gas tank was filled and I was stilled charged another time!

Maybe Tim should be more personable. Everyone is entitled to a bad day however when customers are doing as the APP says just let us do what we're told to do. When I picked-up the moving van, it had 1/4 gas in the tank. Not acceptable. The fuel tank should be 100 % full. Why should be I be put at a disadvantage when the previous renter didn't fulfill his/her obligation. You're penalizing the new renter by forcing them to go to the gas station twice and then guess how to return it at 1/4. How do you expect someone to figure out how to return the vehicle at 1/4??? Please don't let this happen again.

The drop of truck worked okay, however their policy of holding my storage for 24 hrs without informing me was horrible customer service. Thanks to staff (Serena), we were able to work out an option thereby allowing me to get my daughter's items into storage. Due to the delay, we turned in the truck as the store was closing or already closed leading to my replying on rep to finalize my return.

The Assistant Mgr. Andrew went over and beyond to ensure I had the right truck for what was needed. It was an easy fix to upgrade. He allowed me to check the box sizes to fit the content and helped me with boxes I needed to exchange. It was a wonderful experience and I would definitely re-rent from U-Haul if needed.

The customer service rep (Serena) was really nice to work with, after that most other items ere frustrating. I booked the facility on-line a number of week ago. Upon arrival I was informed that the unit was not available and their policy was to only hold a unit for 24 hours. It was frustrating and does not make sense that I was never informed the unit I booked was no longer available. I appreciate Serena working with me to come up with a solution. I was able to move my daughter's items in prior to departing town early the next morning. U-haul needs to look at is rules related to online booking and informing customers if there are any changes. My customer experience was not a good one.

Initial drop was at a third party location. Would not recommend it. Difficult to communicate with person working gas station, many homeless folks around area, individuals asking about truck I was attempting to drop off. Ultimately dropped at location on McDowell after contacting UHaul representative.

The employees at this location are consistently helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Also, they usually have the size of truck I need even on short notice. I would definitely recommend this location to friends who need to rent a truck or moving equipment!

I pre-ordered Pro Series ratchet straps for the haul and when I asked the customer service rep in the store for my pre-ordered items she printed it out I had to get a refund and buy a pack of ratchet straps that were not the same caliber. when I asked if they pull online orders she said no. I do not understand why you offer pre-ordered supplies and not pull them aside for customers. we had flown in from Las Vegas and didnt want to waste time without a vehicle trying to buy them somewhere else. The only Reason I gave it 2 stars and not 1 is the vehicle I rented was almost brand new and in great shape.

The truck needed maintenance -- alignment is off (pulls to right) and transmission makes grinding noises between 2nd and 3rd gear. They are understaffed, no one outside when I returned truck, so I had to do it through the app (not my preference). This is a great location, centrally located, although the traffic has gotten really bad around there.

Service was great but the quality of the truck wasn't. It may be time for some new trucks. Anything over 40 miles per hour became unstable and shaking. In addition, every time I went to crank the truck and place my foot on the break, it made this loud weird noise and would stop once the truck was cranked.

The attendants and sight manager were all very nice and helpful, but they took almost 30 minutes to get us hooked up due to poor record keeping (couldn't find a car dolly there records said they had. HOWEVER, the far more egregious issue was having to go 15 minutes out of our way to this location to pick up our equipment in the first place! Due to mistakes by the U- haul website as well as one of your phone representatives, our reservation was completely messed up and our move delayed by over 4 hours! If we need such services again, I will be certain to investigate other options. PS. Your own in-store representatives (5 different people) all agreed that the website is messed up and needs a serious overhaul...

We didn't notice it before we left, but one of the chains on the tow wasn't clipped properly. When we were driving, the chain started scraping the ground, causing sparks. We zip tied it after a semi driver flagged us down. Otherwise, everything was great, and the manager at this location was super great!

Older van. Drivers side door was bent and made loud noise while on highway. Also the address on the side of the van and on my receipt were both incorrect locations from where I needed to return the van twirling in additional time, gas, and mileage.

Simplify the U-Haul app and reservation process especially if I am a business and I do frequent repeat rentals. I don't like being asked 14 different questions about moving accessories and upgrades when I simply want a trailer I want to rent it and go.

No improvements to be made. Everything was in good order and the customer service was outstanding. Jaztyne, the representative set the gold standard for costumer service. She displayed that she was extremely knowledgable about her job and position. This U-haul rep exceded any expectations that an employer may have when it comes to customer service and care. Jaztyne went above and beyond to articulate every part of the process without letting it become overwhelming. She was also an excellent listener when i had questions she did not interupt but took the time to hear me out and responded in a positive manner and provided the appropiate feedback. U haul... based off of my experience with this member of your staff i would definitely come back and tell others how efficient u guys are and even more so how pleasant the customer service is. I think maybe Jayztne should be promoted to a lead trainer position since she exhibits and could be a shining example of customer service realtions. Seriously... i have worked im customer service with general public for 15 years myself so i know a model employee when i see one. Incase u haul does not tell you... JAZTYNE... On the whole, I'm happy with the experiences, however there are a couple issues that can be improved. 1) I'm aware that I must check in and out each time I visit the facility, however the access gate seems to get easily confused as to whether I'm signed in or out. When I left on Sunday, I closed the door, got into my vehicle and started to the exit gate, but remembered I left something in the storage unit. I went back to the door, but it would not sign me in. I went to the access gate and tried my code there, and it did not respond. I went back and forth a couple times and it did not respond - I had to call the office to come open the gate. 2) I am in unit 1010 - the bathroom is out of order there. I assume that will be repaired and made available?

Very helpful staff. We just had problems with the administrative side of things - billing. They never charged too much, but it was inconsistent and they could never get our two units on the same cycle or recognized in the account. Very messy. Had to call monthly, at least, to sort something out. So we moved. Sad to go, but thank you for everything.

The entire staff at this location was extremely polite and just overall pleasant. Sirrus was especially helpful first over the phone then in person especially underscoring the value U-Haul provides as a company. I have another storage in another city and will now be switching that storage to a U-Haul self storage. Came in to pick up my truck and was given the keys to leave and the truck was parked behind other trucks. Next day came in to load my storage and first, I wasn't explained correctly about the buildings & the letters not matching the building # - THEN once I got into the building there was still a lock on the unit. From getting my truck to leaving the storage unit i had to walk back inside over 3 times due to issues and not being ready for me.

I will commend your company for holding my storage as long as you did, but my biggest complaint is when I received a message stating I could get my items at no charge, then not giving me any way to access those items. The items in the storage were my deceased brother who died not long after Covid started. I received a message from Erica at 24th st and McDowell office stating I could come get my items at no charge. I was working at the time and did not get the message until after they had closed for the day. I went down on Sunday with the means to get the storage cleaned out and was told the lock on there was unable to be opened. So I had to leave and not get my stuff Sunday. I called immediately when they opened Monday morning as my storage was due to go to auction and was told there was nothing they could do. I felt that this was the worst thing you could do to somebody, make them think they can get their items and not give them anyway to get it. I still have not even been contacted about the personal items that should have not been included in the auction. I expect this from Public Storage, but not U-haul. I will not ever get a storage with your company nor will I ever use your trucks, ever again.

This storage unit was rented for my son who had to move out of his ASU apartment. When he went to check in he was told that he didn't have a reservation. After arguing with the desk person his reservation was found but it was pulling teeth to have him show my son the location of his storage unit. His card and code would not let him have access. The desk help used his card to open the gate and told him to call yesterday to get a new code. He called yesterday, got a new code, drove his car packed with all of his belongings to the storage unit and the CODE did not work. He has to be at work at 8:00am today with a car full of stuff. It is two days from the day we rented the storage unit and can not access it still. I would definitely never use this facility again.

Everything was great except for the account platform. I set up autopay for all 3 of my lockers day 1 & somehow 1 magically came off of autopay & I was charged an late fee… the same thing happened the following month but in the 2nd month, it was 2 of my lockers that dropped off of autopay causing me to pay 2 late charges. In total, I had to pay 3 late charges due to a faulty system & had to make sure to pay manually every month due my lack of confidence in the system. This was 100 % system error, not user error.

I had a different storage for a long time. I wasn't comfortable with drug addicts pretty much living in thier units, and always hanging around the outside. This place has great security, & no one asking for change when you try to access your unit. I'm satisfied already 

Having a 6ft ceiling is very inconvenient for getting king size mattresses and anything else of a large size in storage. We had to rent a second storage unit at a different facility to put our larger items in. :(

We moved from Denver to Phoenix using only your services and if the uboxes get delivered as expected then your company has done an excellent job. We rented a truck and trailers and boxes and movers and only think that wasn't great was having to drive from Denver to Salina to get the trailer we needed. About half the staff were not wearing masks even when leaving from behind the desk. The storage facility recommended for a 2 bed 2 bath was far too small for what we needed and had to change units. The door on our unit was very hard to close and seemed very flimsy. I would tell people about it but might recommend them to look elsewhere first.
