The call center is another story though! Customer service is horrible as did not care about situations, absolutely ANY time over would have been a full new day. I am another business utilizing you when our trucks are in the shop and would be a returning customer. Customer service was not for the customer at all, only for UHaul Corporation. I know the trucks are always on the go. The 15Ft with the ramp I rented, the outside of the vehicle was really dirty. Barely could see the defects needed to washed. The inside of the vehicle smelled of old food and funk . We had to drop wit the windows partly rolled down . Can't say when it was cleaned and sanitized?? The Truck ride was rough and seemed like I was 4 wheeling on a old dirt road. If I had to rent one of your trucks again. I would go else where for a decent running and clean Truck.Herman S.

clean the truck. It smelled like someone had smoked a pound of weed in the cab. My wife could hardly stand it. She is alergic to mariquana. The inside of the cargo area had not been swept out. The inside of the cab had candy wrappers and dirt on the floor and pop spilled on the seat and floor.Timothy K.

Location was not easy to get into or out of. There are no signs directing traffic to entrance, only signs for return rentals. One entrance is blocked off. I mentioned to the on-site manager of lack of direction, his response was â€œI'm going to keep it this wayâ€. I mentioned to him that putting some directional signs for customers would be more friendly. Also, the return process was abrasive, was told we couldn't leave the truck, had to do all the checking lights, blinkers, ect. The last time we rented a truck, at a different location, we did not have to do this, nor were we made to stay in truck. Unkind, and unnerving. They have assisted me in getting what I needed and most of all the prices for the extra things you need for moving or even just in town requirements are very low priced. It would be very helpful to not require 100 % full payment of the rental at pickup and instead have the option of a partial payment with the remainder paid upon drop-off and return of the equipment, even for cross-state rentals. Because of the full payment requirement, we had to go with a smaller truck and ended up not being able to fit everything in it. As a result, we had to rent a storage unit and store our things for a few weeks until we're able to return to fetch them. That equated to an airline ticket, another rental, and additional hotel stays, plus gas and food to drive those items back across the country. If partial payment had been an option, we would have been able to get the larger truck, and we would have only had to make the trip once with all of our items. In the end, it cost us far more than if we had been able to secure the 26' truck a single time. Unfortunately, every rental company was doing this, so we didn't have any choice anywhere. That's definitely NOT high on customer service at all, and it cast a definite black mark on our overall impression of the company.Stuart S.

However; the light on the left side of the trolly is not working properly since I pick up the Trolly at Denver, but I dont have a check list from Denver and they did not go thru any check list on me. Although the employee was helpful and friendly, but He did not go over i. What are the scratches or minor damages of the trolly like the hole on the plastic orange tire cover. The only complaint I have, is that I paid for my November rent to avoid a late charge, had the unit cleared out by the evening of the 2nd, and closed the account the morning of the 3rd, but my rent was not pro-rated. When I moved into town I needed a temporary place to store some things until I moved into my new house. I was originally headed to check out a different storage facility near by but passed this location and decided to stop and check it out. I am so glad that I did! Truck was a pile of crap. Would only start after several tries. Told them when I dropped it off they didn't seem to care. Tried to charge me two days for a rental I had for 23 hours. Not this locations fault, but truck share didn't work at all drove over an hour to the location and couldn't pick up the truck. Trucks windshield was filthy and washer fluid didn't work. Savannah and Brian were were great but the two employees that I checked in with were extremely unpleasant. I was told that I entered into the facility the wrong way and that I would be liable if I did it again and was hit by an exiting car. I said that I did not see the one-way signage and the gentleman then said it was extremely large and hard to miss. The way I see it, if they are irritated by explaining this to customers so many times, then something needs to be changed with the signage. If this does not happen frequently, and I am one of a few people who do this, then maybe give me the benefit of the doubt that it was a simple mistake. Employees were very nice and *wanted* to help, but this online system is terrible. I scanned my license and uploaded my picture when I reserved the truck. When I picked it up, I had to do that AGAIN. When the emergency contact call didn't go through (why is this a thing??), they had to manually check me in as if I were a walk in anyway, and scanned my license and took my pic a THIRD time. When we did the inspection, I identified a scratch that wasn't marked and I was told I had to take a picture of it, go online, file a dispute... Why can't the employee just log it?? They can't check me in, they can't log a scratch. This attempt to put everything online has made the process 1000 times more frustrating. I am not renting from U-Haul again. This was ridiculous. You can't replace customer service with online portals and apps, especially if they don't work.Scott N.

The staff was very friendly and made the rental easy. The truck had a concerning safety issue. The steering was very difficult. In order to drive it straight, I had to keep the steering wheel turned to the left almost halfway. I thought this problem was due it being empty however the issue persisted and seemed worst after it was loaded. It was especially annoying when trying to back into a parking spot or getting in or out of a tight space. the turning radius to the left was 50 % less than the right side. This mechanical problem caused me to make an extra trip adding more miles. I was concerned it would get even worst if it was fully loaded. I had reported the problem to customer service immediately. I was told she would make a note so it can be repaired. I asked if I can swap out the truck. I was told there were no replacements available within a reasonable distance. I called customer service for a third time to let them know that it was worst when loaded. I was offered a swap at this time but I could not do it. The truck was already half-loaded and I had a tight schedule to keep. When I returned the truck I advised them again about the issue. I was told he would make a note of it. After it was checked in I saw what seemed the truck was being prepped for another customer. I was not offered a resolution for the inconvenience or extra miles.serjio A.
Stephen was wonderful to me in every way, especially after we realized that I was told one time for picking up the truck, and his screen told him a different time. I knew he was not to blame for that miscommunication, and he undid the problem easily. Can't praise Stephen enough for his knowledge of the vehicle, for helping me see the prior scratches on it (so I wouldn't be blamed for them), and for his calm and patient personality. Being in the military and being told you are leaving and have to pack all your stuff in less than a week is stressful enough. Now looking for a storage unit that was big enough for all my stuff was even harder. I stopped by this location knowing they had no units big enough to fit all of my stuff. I reserved my storage unit about two weeks ago, and when I show up with a full truck, they tell me they don't have the unit I reserved. They tell me your computer system is always wrong. Then they try to get me to go to another property across town. Finally they find and indoor unit (I wanted drive-up), rented it to me, then when we went to go look at it, there was already a lock on it, someone was renting it, but it didn't show in their computer. So we had to go find another one. All together they were unorganized, and not really helpful.
