Staff was the best part, helpful and nice. Facility always smelled like a mixture of dead rat and industrial cleaners. Lights were on motion sensors which I appreciated but there weren't enough of them. No light whatsoever in units. The ceiling on the unit was a mixture of large box fencing and some sort of plastic sheeting.

There was only one guy in that whole place that knew what he was doing. The first guy told us we had to wait because the truck we were getting needed a tire replaced. When we say the repair man pull up after waiting about an hour we went back into the office to continue the checkout process. At this time we spoke with a different but very helpful employee. He said that's not your truck yours is in the back of the lot. We waiting for over an hour and out truck was ready to go the whole time. I was very disappointed.

Terrible !!! Do not book here, the women charged me 161 for supplies I didn't even get. The u haul is already pricey & then I get charged for something I didn't even get or ask for. There should be no reason for that. Told I was getting a refund and still haven't .

I did not have a delivery, I had a pickup. I was very impressed with the staff I dealt with and owe them my sincere thanks for working my pickup into the schedule. I had been dealing with my father in hospice care for about a month and forgot to arrange for the pickup of my U-box. They were very understanding and helpful!

Horrible, couldn't access my storage unit. Tried and waited over an hour and had to release my movers earlier without completing the job. Lost revenue and time and ended up losing a days work to resolve this issue. Then i reschedule with the movers and they NEVER showed up the following morning. So I'm HIGHLY, disappointed and upset and deserve compensation for lost revenue.

Robert Flowers was excellent and deserves a raise. He fixed an error made by Uhaul scheduling that said I could pick up at 8 am despite the location not being open. Robert was willing to fix this issue and was very friendly and kind while doing so.

Had a difficult time dropping off vehicle went to multiple U-Haul places and was instructed we could not drop off vehicle at their location because they have no room. Even the destination we were instructed to drop the truck at declined us the location we left the truck at was very helpful and had no problem taking our vehicle

It took them an hour and a half to figure out that my truck wasn't available, and that only ended when I decided to just take a smaller truck. I honestly would have been better off if they just called me before I came and told me they didn't have it so I could figure something else out. We were paying people to help us move while I sat there waiting for them to figure something out.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a company. I had no idea when I booked this truck that it was for a local move. There was no information sent to me telling me where I was supposed to drop the truck off. I happened to be moving across the country and I was hit with $2000 fee for "penalties" instead of Uhaul simply charging me the original one-way trip. I WILL NEVER BE USING UHAUL AGAIN AND AI WILL BE TELLING EVERYONE I KNOW TO NOT USE UHAUL EITHER.

communication pieces with the customers would be better or should be better the check-in process should be a little bit easier and I understand it they are constantly busy but this is how some mistakes and stuff are created not only by the customers but by the staff

I was charged a $25 cleaning fee bc I didn't fold the blankets that came with the truck back up I didn't even know I could be charged a cleaning fee for that. I was told I would receive the pictures of what they had to clean and never received the pictures I definitely plan to call corporate for this. Bc this is unacceptable I am a paying customer I even filled the gas tank up further than I was suppose to only to be charged $25 for a cleaning fee for not folding blankets back up.

The location failed to check in my trailer correctly, claimed for 2 days they didn't have it and then “found” the trailer on day 3 and then charged me for the “extra” three days it was sitting in their lot. I received a refund from customer service but still absurd.

it wasn't very clear where to return the truck due to trucks parked in the way but after asking I waited and line and when it was my turn the person helping was friendly I gave him the keys and he asked me if I would like a receipt and my reply was yes please then his colleague started screaming that they were busy and I shouldn't be asking for receipt and I should wait and used swear words I was shocked if there is a video recording in that location please look at it I felt unsafe and uncomfortable to be mistreated because of simply saying yes when offered a receipt

The location and staff were amazing. I am very grateful that I was able to get a truck after I had to cancel the wrong size truck from the Glenburnie location. I had spoken with a representative before reserving and was giving the wrong information on reserving the appropriate truck for my family and I. Disappointed in the stress my family had to endure

To U-Haul: Do not promote the app until it is fully integrated with your front desk computer system. The van I tried to check out through the app was double booked by the front desk agent to a different customer! Additionally, keep a more up to date inventory list - multiple customers came in expecting to rent a van, but the location did not have any extra vans available. To other customers: I would recommend making a reservation at least a week in advance and going to the desk to talk to the agents to pick it up; the customer service representatives were excellent, and I appreciate all the hard work they did to fix the failures of the computer/ app system.

Upon my most recent rental. The store took 30 or more to find the keys to my 20' truck. Once keys was found the lock was broken. Truck needed a oil change and less than 30 % gas. I was told by associate I would be reduced in fees because of the inconvenience. I called the store upon the return time to only be on hold for a hour before someone assisting me. They transferred me to corporate and I was transferred over 12 times from billing to corporate to the store several times. Customer service had the store call me back however the associate who found the keys answered. Told me to return my vehicle by noon. And never given any direct assistance. And hung up. I will be calling corporate again. Moving is very timely and my time was waisted hope to not need this location sooner.

Facilities were old, but clean. It was great having the option to store my belongings for a month free with a one-way truck rental. The staff member who helped me at the Pulaski Hwy location, Lamont D., was friendly and communicated well. Check-out process went smoothly.

The only problem was the truck smelled heavily of smoke. I know it's hard to control what people do in the truck, but it definitely irritated my lungs/my asthma. Otherwise, great experience!

Truck was dirty and the cab had several thing broken inside. Computer said we were running out of gas even after filling it up. The truck had no license plate on it. The roll-up back door was locked and had no key; we had to drive back to the pickup location to get it unlocked. No consideration from the location for the added mileage or time required to return to get it unlocked.

I think U-Haul is a great service and unlike any other sometimes I don't even need to move anything I might just need a ride to another state and I'm getting a hassle from rental car companies you guys make it easy U-Hauls already The Best of the Best and I don't think you guys need to change anything to stay great thank you

The mobile app pickup experience simply did not work as it should. The keys were not in lock box. There were no morning blankets in the truck at pickup. The app did not allow be to upload pictures for check in or out procedures. The original truck had a check engine light so I couldn't get a read of odometer. Fortunately the staff helped me and took over where needed. However it was clear that if I needed the truck outside of store hours, 24/7 pickup wasn't realistic

THE VEHICLE WAS ABSOLUTELY DIRTY. THE FLOORS HAD ARMORALL ON THEM MAKING THEM SLIPPERY. THE SERVICE GUY WAS HOSTILE WHEN I WAS SPEAKING TO THE CLERK ABOUT NO GAS IN THE VEHICLE WHEN I PULLED OFF THE LOT. THE SERVICE GUY ACTUALLY SAID IT'S MY JOB TO TELL HIM HE DIDN'T DO HIS JOB. HOW DO YOU SAY THERE IS NO GAS WHEN YOU DON'T REALIZE THERE'S NO GAS UNTIL YOU HIT THE HIGHWAY. ALSO THE TIRES AND STEERING ARE IN BAD CONDITION. No one answers phone or email. They checked me into a unit without my permission or presence two months before I had the unit reserved for 22 May 22. My credit card was charged without my permission thus essentially stealing and I intend to deny the charge. I have contacted U-Haul formally and an official letter of complaint has been filed on 7 Mar 22.

The two young gentlemen at the counter on Friday evening were very courteous and professional. One of them was especially very patient with showing me the door code process and took extra time to walk with me to the unit. He showed me how to use the ladder and even got the lock out of the unit for me. The customer service given to me was above and beyond exceptional! Hopefully this young man, with the nice brown locks will receive a promotion for being so professional.

Not sure what's going on but moved my stuff out on may 1, 2021 got a call about 10 later stating they put a lock on my door and I would have to coming into the office and pick up a key and I will be charged accordingly which didn't make sense since I already had all my belongings out of the storage. This whole experience was just bad when I got to Maryland where I was supposed to get my original storage gave it away. I was accused of losing the U-Haul key which I had no idea what they was talkin about but once again there was a telephone call stating that they will be charged me for a uhaul key. Which I had because I was still renting the van

When I moved in I paid for the 24/7 access hours. There was no light hanging up in the back area where my storage locker was located. I could barely see what was in my storage locker during the day and couldn't see anything at night. The ceiling broke apart over my locker a month into my storage and ruined half of the items in my storage locker. I was partially replaced a couple months later but it was a patch job. Rat's got into my locker and defecated everywhere (There was nothing edible in my locker but I believe the locker next to me had something in it). The solution to all of this was somebody throwing a tarp, bucket and ladder over the top of my locker. I am absolutely disgusted with my experience at this facility. I paid for a locker that was not serviceable and the result was half of my property getting covered in rat poop, dust and ceiling debris. I emailed the manager about this (And got no response). I also confronted employees and him in person but nothing was immediately done to help me. None of the employees/the manager were rude but nothing was done to help me. Am I a customer or is uhaul just collecting my money every month for a service that I am no be rendered!!!!

Since you asked, I'll tell you. Your employees are very friendly and helpful. They are fantastic. But the unit stinks and I felt gross whenever I went in there. That may just be the way it is everywhere, but I'll never want to put my belongings in storage again. The first time I went to retrieve my things, there was a glue trap right in front of the door with a wriggling mouse stuck in the glue, which I then had to dispose of myself, and I couldn't even locate a garbage can, so I had to carry it downstairs in the elevator to the bathroom where I knew there was a garbage can. Maybe that's just the way it has to be, and I'll just never use self-storage again. But I do want you to relate to your employees that I am grateful for their assistance.

I will never store my belongings at this Uhaul.It hv mices.I brought 1200 dollar mattress.I come back after 4 months. Mices every where.I had to throw everything away.Building is over 50 years old.I will never store nothing there again..

We loved the customer service part and for the most part they were accommodating and helpful but the storage facility itself was a bit old, infested with mice and I believe rats too! We had a lot of our cloth furniture bit through. Mattresses and couches were destroyed. Not to mention how unsanitary that is to have nice chewing your mattress and relieving themselves on there as well! My "like new" king mattress is now trash. Thank God I got the insurance!!!! I'm doing a claim today!

The facility hours are fine, they're open during prime hours of the day. Although, they advertise 24-hour access to your things, but in my experience even the after-hours access door locks up at 10pm; therefore, making your access code useless. Another big issue my wife and I experienced was mice/rats. It is advertised that your stuff is safe from chemical treatments that the facility has done to "maintain" their pest problem. Out of one week of going to my unit to move our belongings to our new home, three of those days in a row I saw multiple mice run from unit to unit on the third floor. Now, I'm in the United States Army, I've dealt with much worse conditions before, but if you're going to advertise you are managing your pest problems, I expect them to be managed better than what I experienced. Because of this facility, my wife and I had to disinfect every single item in our unit and throw many things away. This facility also almost ruined our $2000 bed. Again, some staff were very friendly and helpful, but the facility itself needs to be better maintained. It was a nice secure place for our belongings for the two and a half weeks it was there, but never again will I come to this place, or recommend it to anyone else. I prefer not to have more of my belongings ruined by mice/rats.
