I used this location before and gave them 5 stars. Not this time. Where I picked up the one way truck they did not have the 36 furniture pads I reserved. I had to pick them up at a second location....thus I had two contract numbers....and I told the employee that did the return that I had two contracts rather than the standard one. The truck was returned but the furniture pads were never processed. I didn't realize until I got to my new home and looked at my email. I tried to call them but after being on hold for 30 minutes I got a hold of someone at Uhaul that noted I returned them but could not process the return as the location I returned them to had process the return. I called close to 20 times until finally someone answered the phone. There should be an easier way to communicate with a business than needing an act from God to be able to talk to a real human being. If I had to drive over there to take care of the matter I would have given one star.Barbara S.

It was a challenge to get through. I called the number and the recording answered Uhaul. Then I pressed 2 for a human and then asked if they had trailers to rent. The lady told me I had the wrong number. Listen to the recording wherever you keep it, it was Wednesday afternoon.. Apparently I did not refer to it as an"auto transporter" so she did not have what I needed. I needed a car trailer and finally convinced her she did have what I needed. Otherwise the experience was good, but I wonder how much business the girl who answered is costing you.Steve P.

I returned the truck in 2 days AMD was charged for 3 days put keys un drop box at 7:50 am on 9/12/21 AMD it was not checked in until 9:07 so I would be charged for another day not happy at allWALTER B.

I checked in my trailer before it was due, but they did not check it in. So the next day they called and asked where it was. I said there and they went outside and saw it. Then charged me for an extra day. So I had to call them and get this corrected and my card credited. Not a good drop off experience and there were people there.DAVID H.

The guy with the curly hair, dirty appearance with a million bracelets on with the infectious red bump on his lip needs training when it comes to customer service. You could tell he clearly didn't care or not if I or anyone else had a u-haul or not.If It wasn't for me calling customer service he would have allowed me just to leave believing nothing could be done. Stating a different department canceled my order. Once the u-haul was ready he didn't even tell me. He left the door open with the music playing. I had go back inside to see what was going on. He was helping someone else leaving me out in the heat waiting. The female worker in the store asked if everything was okay and I said waiting on the keys. She said something to him that's when he told her the keys were in the truck. He could have simply told me instead of just walking back in the building not saying a word and leaving me in the heat.TONYA J.

The first truck had a broken rear door. Once closed I could not open it. The replacement truck had a broken ramp that would not close. They were crazy busy but need a way for users to report problems I tried to report the ramp issue but there were 5-6 people in from of me at checkout. God service considering it all.JEFFREY K.
So 200,00 $ was needed. Couldn't fill the tank but 60 $for half a tank. Glad your God fearing ways Saya feel free to screw someone over. Where to put the key? No box around thank you. Dirt all over the truck and it runs horrifically. These trucks use to be clean and nice. Oh I still have very little more money would you like to charge more for the dirty truck I've picked up and sent photos of. This location does an extremely poor job of managing their rental reservations and training staff in customer service.Gwendolyn H.
The 10' truck was not well maintained. The service stabilitrack light came on and the towing feature comes on by default instead of only when selected. The main problem I had with this rental was my reservation was cancelled without anyone letting me know that it was being cancelled. Traffic cancelled one reservation because I couldn't get the mobile pickup to work. I made another reservation when that pickup wasn't working. The second reservation should not have been cancelled. I ended up having to pickup a truck a few miles away which adds to the mileage that I pay for. Also, the young man with curly hair at the Putman Dr location was RUDE. It appeared that he was aware that I was in a rush because the other reservation being cancelled placed me behind schedule. At first he kept yawning as if he was up all night. Then when I asked that he print the contract he did it slowly then proceeded to highlight very slowly portions of the contract. Uhaul could do a lot to improve their customer service.PATRICIA D.

First of all I have used uhaul several times. My first time was excellent 3 years ago. This time was not so good. I have to drive and hour away to pick up the equipment and an hour back to my home then load the truck and drive 6 hrs to my final destination. I tried calling uhaul several times to see if something else could be worked out maybe a bigger truck or even pick up another day. I stayed on the phone 3 hours trying to get help with no luck at all. I was sent to several different departments and no one new what to do. The equipment was great no problems. The service was not so great the young lady that waited on me was not very friendly. I was thankful that the man that helped me load my car on the tow dolly was a nice person. I understand it must be a busy time but 3 hrs on the phone and then a told of 2 hours driving brfore I could even load the truck then drive 6 more hrs was pretty rough. Next time I need a uhaul I will rent it a month in advance.Betty H.

I had a positive overall experience at this location. Check-in and equipment pick up went smoothly. The vehicle was generally clean, but the cab of the truck needed a bit more attention. There were old french fries and coffee stirrers on the floor. Also, when I picked up my tow dolly, the attendant told me to engage the car's emergency brake while on the dolly (which I later discovered was a very serious error).EVA W.

I received a call the morning of the rental that the truck size I had ordered would not be in for my pick up time, so they asked if it would be OK to substitute the truck size for a larger one they had ready - at no additional charge. I was very relieved and pleased that they would go to such courtesy and lengths to make sure my move would go smoothly.DOUGLAS R.
My reservation was for Saturday. U-Haul website has a reservation guarantee. I was called 5 minutes before pick up time by U-Haul representative stating the vehicle and tow dolly were not available until Sunday. The cab was pretty dirty with old spilled drinks in the cup holders, on the floor, and on the seats. When I pointed it out to a worker, he came to clean it, but I found more old drink spills later during the rental.Joshua L.

The truck wasn't cleaned and it had no blankets in it as I requested. I was given the keys and went out and the truck hadn't been cleaned from an overnight drop off and was up on the curve, in the grass, with a vehicle blocking it.Ava R.

Be more clear on the process of checking in and accepting the equipment. While using text and technology to ease the process is great, there were no instructions to do so from the reps. I had driven away and just happened to check my know to discover that there was a text with a link to inspect the equipment and agree to its condition.KENT T.

We rented for less than two months and mice had infested the unit. Mouse bait was placed in the unit. Lots of feces and a dead mouse was found on our couch. The couch had holes in it due to mice. The property is dirty with lots of trash in the parking lot. Its in a sketch part of town. The bathroom smelled like urine from the floors and no soap in the dispenser. This U-haul facility was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. However, the reservation was originally made at the U-haul storage on Spartman drive and it was given to someone else that morning and they didn't have any other units available. So they sent me to this one on University drive. I didn't rent a vehicle from u haul. I have a storage unit with you all. I will say you all don't have adequate parking for your customers. First of all, there are not enough people working at the University Dr. store to meet the volume of customers. Secondly, I have never heard of any storage unit that requires the customer to purchase the storage company's lock, so I did not appreciate being threatened with having the lock I purchased for the unit I was provided cut off if I didn't purchase a U-Haul circular lock. It's bad enough that U-Haul has some of the highest rates for storage units that I have ever seen, but to feel pressured to spend money on the company's circular lock is especially horrible. It didn't help that I saw other units that did not have the U-Haul circular locks on them. There was also some confusion about the terms of the one month's worth of free storage. I was told by two U-Haul representatives that I qualified for a month's worth of free storage with no stipulations added or explained in either case. If the unit was not offered for free, I would never had bothered using a U-Haul storage unit. Finally, as I answered in the introductory questionnaire, no, I would not ever recommend a U-Haul storage facility to anyone.Andrea G. | Premières impressions
On the day we came to empty our storage units we found rat feces all over our belongs and that our household items were destroyed. As we worked to go through our packages we found 4 rats in our boxes and amongst our belongings. When we asked for assistance we were rudely dismissed and told "file a claim" and given a pamphlet. When we called the number to customer service we were on hold for over two hours and eventually ended the call once our movers loaded all of the items we could take home. Thankfully we didn't take any rats to our new home, however we lost a lot of items we needed and ended up spending much more money to replace items i.e. towels, dishes, sheets, a loveseat and a recliner, wires for our surround sound system which had been eaten through. I would never recommend this storage place, it is not well maintained and there is no reprieve for your damaged items.Virginia K. | Expérience générale
