I could not link my reservation with my myuhaul account. I went to the Rockrimmon location and they said they couldn’t do it, it would have to be done by calling 800-GO-UHAUL. I sat on hold for over an hour. While on hold, I started a chat with lilyanne, an online Uhaul customer rep. She kept giving me the same instructions and I kept telling her that I could not do as she instructed. She apologized for ME being frustrated, instead of apologizing that the uhaul website service was not connecting. She also apologized for me not knowing how to use the myuhaul page. In her apologies, she was blaming me for being incompetent. I spent over two hours trying to link my account with my reservation to no avail and I received no help from the corporate offices. The people at the Rockrimmon location were kind, but unable to help with the linking of my account, so I just ended up returning the truck when they were open again the following morning. It should not have been this complicated and the fact that the lilyanne chat person was so rude only exacerbated an already frustrating experience.

The initial verification of the account setup online was a bit confusing. If it could be created just using the phone number and creating a password, then using the order number to verify. That would made it a lot smoother for everything.

Haley at this location was extremely rude. She called and left a voicemail on my phone saying I will be charged for unreturned products that I never received, without doing any investigation. That was only one of the problems I had. I won’t recommend this location to anyone. Customer service was HORRIBLE

I reserved and my rental was not there. They told me they charge $50 for late return but I would pay in full even though the vehicle was not there. I found that to be poor customer service. I was clear I rented this because I had a time schedule to pick up a purchase. The manager was thorough which is great but entirely too slow. The entire process took 30 minutes just to check in. I rented a uhaul truck 2 different times from another uhaul place in town this past week and their check in was quick and they were helpful. I will never use this location again and frustrated someone else was being changed a late fee but I received no compensation. Poor service from the manager on duty.

Driver side mirror became loose during transit. Although retightened, mirror became loose and fell to ground, breaking. Re-secured with Duct tape. If we had not taken out insurance we would have been billed for replacement of mirror even though it was not our fault. Fortunately we did take out insurance and there was no charge.

I could not down load your stupid APP. So my experience sucked. Unless I had the App I was told to expect delays. The App could not be installed do to problems on your end not mine. None of the staff could help me install it either. So if your business model is so dependent on the APP working maybe you should have plan "B" just in case. I didn't want another stupid APP on my phone either. BUT NO! In order to make your experience better I MUST have it. This is not right. This should only be an option to do business with Uhaul. Maybe you should think about that. I was so pissed! But your staff was very helpful to no avail. The staff tried 3 times to help with the APP but couldn't

The wrong equipment was loaded into our U-Haul. When we brought this to the attention of staff, we were met with rudeness and impatience. When we dropped the U-Haul of approximately 18 hours early, the man checking it in already had it listed that we had broken the seals for the utility dolly and blankets. We had to walk him to the back and show him that neither seal was broken. We were charged for the approximate mileage we entered at reservation not the actual mileage, which meant we paid for nearly double the mileage actually used.

I don't like the "attached" dolly in the trucks. If you happen to hit it while loading/unloading the seal breaks (happened to me more than once) and then you can get charged rent without using it. It is in the way! Take it out for customers that don't want it.

I had much difficulty with the online/smartphone applications. They did not work for me. I rented a truck last week and spent over an hour trying to reserve a truck on line, then 45 min at the pickup location trying to get the phone app to work. Customer ervice at the store finally set me up with their computer and I finally departed with my truck an hour after the reserved pickup time. This time I attempted the online application but was not able to log on. I went early to the store and a very helpful lady (Hayley Mckittrick) was able to process my reservation in about 15 minutes, That's the way it should be. Hats off to Hayley.

Today was the last straw for me using Uhaul. The truck was recently smoked in and I already have issues with cigarette smoke, all they would do was wipe down the interior with fresh cleaner and told me drive with the windows open. This is unacceptable and because it was the "only available" truck even though there were three sitting next to it, I was stuck using it. Terrible equipment and customer service.

Told the guy as I was being walked through the phone application (because it took to long if he had to do it) that I would need the truck until 10:30am the next day. He told me that there was another person that needed it by 11am and that I would be charged double in addition to a $50 penalty if I didn’t have it back by 10:30am. He didn’t communicate that in the paperwork and I was called twice the next morning asking why I hadn’t brought the truck back and then still charged for 2 days. They guy that called me and checked the truck in was great. Just frustrating that I paid more that I have always been charged for a 16’ truck when I got the smaller 10’ this time because it was cheaper. I’ve always had the same time frames. Inconsistent. I’ll pay for a larger truck if that all that’s available from the other locations that are closer to me next time. It’ll still be cheaper!

Uhaul location did not inform me of holds placed on my card. They did not check to make sure the equipment I rented was actually in the truck. I was charged for furniture pads and a utility dolly I did not request or have access to... It has all been a hassle.

I booked a reservation to pick up my truck using the 24/7 reservation option. When I arrived at the location the business was closed (it was Sunday). I didn’t think too much of this because I knew, with this type of reservation, the check in/out was done on my cell. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out that way. As I began the check in process on my phone the site prompted me to wait for the business to open at 7:00 AM. By this time it was 8:15 AM, not to mention the business was closed for the day. I proceeded to call customer service and I waited, on hold, for 35 minutes without talking to a rep. Fortunately I managed to make another reservation at another location, but the burden of all this delayed the work I needed to do considerably.

I had probably one of the worst experiences ever with U-Haul! First I set up my initial transaction and I was told there wasn’t a truck there and I would be notified where and when I would pick up, also I was told it was $0.78 a mile. Later the night of April 29 I received a text stating time and where I would pick up. Then in the AM I received 2 email stating I would pick up at the original location I originally wanted. I drove to pick up my truck and it wasn’t there!!! I was told I would need to back track and drive the 20 min back to the other site and get my truck and she was sorry for my inconvenience. Then when I arrived at the other U-Haul they were just as baffled as I was and told me to contact U-Haul. I attempted to but was on hold for 32 minutes before I hung up. Not crazy about this run around on a day where we were on a tight schedule!!!

This U-Haul location is always very busy so the wait times maybe stressful for some people. However, the employees do there best to get you on the road. If you reserve before going in that would help speed up the process. I rented a car trailer that had oil sprayed all over so i considered it dirty.

We have used UHaul dozens of times over the years. It used to be you could get whatever equipment you needed close to your home. The last two times that hasn’t been the case. I have had to travel many miles to pick it up. 40 minutes away. I believe that costumer service is no longer in existence

Very hard to find and equipment in two different locations. Combine equipment locales into one and put more signage around lot and road leading to it. Check equipment more thoroughly upon return and have employee stay until customer has actually driven away with their rental---no matter how experienced the customer is! Customer should be able to take their own pictures of the condition of the rental before and after return, and upload them---not look at pictures of their rental from some previous time in the past. It is not practical and the texted link did not work. The whole system of check-in was flawed. I have rented many a time with U-Haul, many a type of equipment. This was the first time I ran into problems. I had to wait because their attendant left before our trailer was properly hitched, and a strap was short, making it impossible to tie down our vehicle. The arrival of a long enough strap delayed our trip departure by a substantial amount of time. It was quite an inconvenience. I have never had a check-in and take off take more than half an hour.

Make check in more efficient. Although we had formalized our trailer rental on line, the young man who helped us at the rental location was inept. He was very nice, though. Having to give him the name of our next of kin who he proceeded to call and talk to before finishing our rental was very weird, and pretty much the whole experience was long and unnecessary. And he had to pull up a past rental contract. All the while typing in the name wrong and having to start over. A very annoying and time consuming system. We have rented UHaul trucks and trailers other places that had simple and efficient rental procedure. This one was a joke!
