I want to preface with the fact that I also work in the service industry and I do know it sucks to wear a mask eight hours a day. But I was very disheartened to see none of the staff masked properly when I walked in, and only the staff member who helped me pulled hers above her nose. I know they're uncomfortable, but if we don't all consistently wear them properly, we're never going to get to take them off.

I'm not actually rating this LOCATION as poor. there's nothing wrong with the location at S. Willow st. But you didn't ask about the overall rental experience- which was very poor, as usual. The problem is your online reservation system. I rented a truck at a location that's a mile or 2 from my home. The night before I get a message that I need to pick my truck up at a different location that's over 30 minutes from my home. (This happened last time I reserved a Uhaul too by the way). So, this last-minute change set me back well over an HOUR (more like an hour and half for the whole process), which screwed up the whole day, and led to a chain of events that made me unable to return the truck at the original time. This meant I was charged an exorbitant amount because I had to bring the truck back the next morning. First of all, it was not MY fault that I had to start the process later because your stupid online reservations system screwed me over. Second, I was apparently charged over $60 to bring the truck back the next day by noon. If the rental rate is $19.95/day, and I added NO extra miles on it, then why did I get charged 3 days worth of rental fee for LESS THAN one more day?? You guys really need to straighten out your reservation system.Also when I tried contacting someone for help with this in the evening, I was on hold forever and finally gave up. Then I contacted the chat and had to keep prompting to get someone to answer me. Then the guy who answered was rude. So, customer service needs work too.

I wanted to pick it u, The people were great in Derry but not available had to go to Manchester, the people were great and the experience was good and in our case it was on our way anyway.

We were driving over 1,000 miles for a one way move. The truck was pretty old and beat up. To top things off, about halfway through our move, somewhere in the middle of nowhere on the Ohio Turnpike, the engine started making a knocking sound and then the oil light turned on. We pulled over to check it out. The oil dipstick was bone dry. So we paid over $30 to put oil in it because we were also traveling with 3 kids and a dog and wanted to keep going to our new house. When we returned the truck, I told them about the issue and asked to be refunded the coast of the oil. I even presented them with the receipt. I was told that since I "did work on the truck" I would be liable so I should just leave it alone and not ask for my money back. With the kids and dog in the middle of nowhere Ohio, we were not willing to pull over and wait what most likely would have been hours for someone to come out and check on a fully packed 26 foot truck. Had we not put oil in it, the engine would have blown. This truck was NOT a truck that should have been given to us for such a far move and it was not checked properly before it was given to us. Then to be told we were out of luck for spending our money on oil when we shouldn't have had to in the first place was just the icing on top. I would still like to be refunded.

Make sure that the employee gives the renter a quick operating system of trucks. Furniture pads are dry and ready to use. I found out that the one's I paid for where wet and smelled and no use to me.

Trailer was not clean. It still had all the ropes tied to the walls from the last rental. The floor was not swept. I also found it very odd and uncomfortable to have an employee take a picture of my personal ID with their personal cell phone to load it into the Uhaul system.

Today Thursday October 15, 2020 I rented a storage unit from Arielle Vargas at your Manchester NH. Branch. Just when I thought the Customer Service at UHaul couldn't get any better Arielle and all the Employees at UHaul in Manchester NH. proved me wrong. We needed to upgrade our storage room to a larger one, we had to walk around the place 5x and wait like 10 additional minutes to find someone to help us. Then, not her fault, but she was new and did not know anything. They saw us pull in with the 27foot truck, we told them it was completely full, and the room that we were upgraded to did not even fit our stuff. we had to bring more stuff back to where we are staying, which is definately not the point of having a storage unit. I cannot even walk in there, so there is NO way of me finding anything ever until we move it all out. They should be knowledgeable of what size rooms will fit the trucks that people pull in with. If they knew they did not have a unit large enough to accommodate, I would expect them to get on the phone with a different uhaul in manchester or close by and find one that would be sufficient. If that is not possible, youre better off letting the customer know that rather than having an unhappy customer, because now my finace said he will never use uhaul again. and i really am not happy that i cannot go there to look for stuff when i want it. just saying- not completely her fault, she was new, but she should not have been left in that situation, there should have been someone knowledgeable with her until she was sufficiently trained.

Sliding the card as one leaves takes some getting used to, but I eventually did. It also helps that you can go back hours later when you remember and slide it then LOL. Also, yesterday. I received a final auto pay reminder for July after I checked out of the unit last week. I know it's probably because the two systems aren't linked, but it still could be slightly worrisome to some people. However, a terrific experience overall, especially with the first free month after my move here from Texas and with the ability to get settled into my apartment more gradually and in an organized way. Finally, I get a lot of these kinds of auto-surveys including one for recent service to my Hyundai, and this was the easiest one to use. Too many of these things are attached to some kind of Google or social-media thing that my phone doesn't like. Thanks.

The service at the site was excellent but the U-Haul system's inability to recognize and process my USAA Visa credit card either via the phone reservation or in-person is unacceptable.
