When I returned the rental, I told the associate that in the past when I rented from Uhaul, the rental vehicle gas had to be full upon return. Well, I recieved it on 3/4 full and returned it full. Asked associate if I could get a credit for the extra 1/4 of gas I put in (as we all know gas is not cheap these days) and he laughed, saying better that way then us having to charge you six something to fill it up! The people were friendly efficient and patient. It was so busy and customers had a range of problems but workers were so accommodating. It was an impressive experience. Loved the ease of having done the reservation on line. Tks!Rachel D.
Staff was knowledgeable, efficient, friendly, and seemed to be having a good time (which makes an environment more pleasant to be in). They answered all my questions and concerns. The van worked fine and had some higher-end features I didn't expect like rain-sensing wipers and collision prevention camera. Oh, and back-up camera--so much nicer than backing up with just side-mirrors! However, they are very serious about their timing. On a weekend, your rental is likely reserved by someone else within a couple of hours after you bring it back, so add some buffer time into your reservation to avoid stressing out you and everyone else. Truck we waited 2 hours for road side assistance after using it to load storage to move 2800 miles. Once roadside showed up the truck was deemed undriveable and not safeâ€¦.no replacement to be found except the next day 90 minutes north of me and I was in hamstead NH. Went next day to get that truck. Nice people but trucks tires were out of balanceâ€¦ made a very unsafe ride, over heated and constant traction control light onâ€¦. I'm very very disappointed in Uhaul.. I had a dealership for 11 years and never would do this to a customerâ€¦.$3500 for a very awful experienceâ€¦. Not to mention I was starting a new job and running a day late due to first truckâ€¦ paid movers the day we got it to have to break downâ€¦. These trucks are a money maker and poorly maintained. I reserved a 20' truck 3 weeks ahead of time. The day before my reservation I was told there was none available and I would have to drive 30 minutes away to get a smaller truck and trailer. The people and the facility were great, but very frustrating having to deal with that last minute.Andrew S.
I had to put air in the left front tire 3 times. Last time was it 10 o'clock at night in the pouring rain it was not appreciated. And I filled the tank according to the guidelines it said it would have given me right amount where You it needed to be to only return the truck after putting gas in it across the street from the Uhaul place and then being charged in additional $24 for gasoline. My truck reservation was for Bedford New Hampshire at 9 AM I didn't get my truck untill almost 10 AM in Manchester New Hampshire I do not blame your workers they were very kind and courteous there's not enough trucks and enough staff for all of the reservations that are easily made onlineJennifer F.

I found damage to the drivers side door that no one noticed before renting to us. I got it cleared up before leaving luckily. I don't think this should be the new customers job to find problems before leaving. That's the job of the person checking it in when it's returned. Other than that everything was good. I received a phone call the morning before my trip that my truck was given away, and was asked if I could pickup the truck at a different location, which I obliged. That morning I go to pick up the truck and learn that my truck was given away twenty minutes before I got there and that I have to now go to another location to pick up my truck. With a reservation made weeks in advance, I don't see the point if the truck is just going to be given away anyway.Bryan H.

The after hours return method where the customer is required to use the U-Haul website was very inconvenient for me. It was pouring rain and the requirement to take pictures was quite difficult. The signage for where to return was not easy to see. Lifting the trailer off of my hitch was very difficult by myself. In all cases, I was unable to speak to an employee at any U-Haul location, which made me uncomfortable. When I would call a U-Haul location using the site specific phone number, I was directed to a (nation-wide?) call center; the wait to talk to someone was very long. They also could not tell me details of the pickup or return location, which would have helped me understand where I was going, etc.paul W.

Customer service was horrible. They gave me a vehicle with no gas in it and when I returned it they told me it left with three quarters of a tank. They refuse to do anything about it. Also, I returned the equipment one day early and never got a credit for the day that I did not use. The staff was less than pleasant. They went as far as to ask me to leave.Dave M.

My customer experience was great until the new female assistant manager was hired. She's rude jusgemental snobby and I'm not be in customer service at all. She will be the reason that place will lose customers I've had friends with me that were thinking of getting a unit there and then saw how she was with customers and instantly changed their mind because of her attitude and judgmental behavior. It seemed like every time I went there they were waxing the floors so I'd have to come back or wait. The door to the unit was not on level so it was extremely difficult to get my lock on and off so much so that a few times I couldn't open it or close it so I'd have to call a friend to help me or even have to come back or leave it unlocked. Supposed to have climate control and I was paying for it ,it was so cold i side , some of my stuff got broken because it was too cold was 52° ,when I used to rent before it used to be 65 and I asked them to put it up to 65 one girl was rude to me , she said it needs to below 55° , that's not climate control to me sorry .then they upped my rent and i was only there 4 months. I wont rent from uhaul ever again . Plus i didnt feel safe . One guy was sleeping in his storage that was next to my first storage , then had to park outside because both stall where taking up by guys doing drugs in their cars , smoking and working on his car . The day I moved into the facility on my current unit there was snow everywhere making it difficult to move into the facility. I was promised 1/2 off of the unit for all of the issues, however I am uncertain a credit was applied. The sliding electric door was stuck and had to be held open manually. There were numerous tows blocking the entrance and I was unable to access the closest door to my storage unit. I have pictures that document these facts. A $400 air conditioner was stolen along with other items and boxes out of a unit I vacated. When I requested a claim be filed for theft I was continuously put off and have dealt with retaliation for speaking up for my legal rights. I was forced to contact the main office and reached someone who finally gave me the regional managers telephone number, as no one would provide the regional managers telephone number to resolve basic issues. Brittani, the Regional Manager was very helpful and professional. I was lied to and treated poorly and bullied by the current S. Willow facility manager, Richard. Before I spoke up in regards to the theft I had no issues with U-Haul. I would not recommend anyone rent from this facility. I am out a $400 air conditioner and other belongings that were stolen out of a storage unit I rented. I paid for insurance on the storage unit and the insurance should have covered the theft. After speaking up about the theft I faced retaliation and would never use this facility again. I no longer trust the facility manager, Richard at South Willow Street U-Haul. The previous manager was respectful, kind and caring. The current manager is unprofessional, rude, abusive and does not respect the customers, or honor his spoken words. I am thankful for the Regional Manager Brittani for professionally and maturely handling my concerns, however the fact still remains that a theft took place and U-Haul refuses to take responsibility for this criminal action against me. U-Haul retaliates against those who are robbed at this facility. I have met several amazing young women staff at this facility who went out of their way to provide kind and caring service, however with the current facility manager they are afraid.Carol P. | Premières impressions

When I got there the Staff was on his cell phone and me and other gentleman behind keep saying hello the staff won't answer us, his head was facing down on his phone, 1min later after I said are you going to help us or not he then raise his head and a phone call came in on his cell phone and he picked it up and keep us waiting still. Told me I got a $70 room (I asked for the cheapest due to little storage) then the bill comes and it's $120!! They messed up on their end and I got stuck paying $50 more. There wasn't clear instruction about how to get the access card to enter the storage facility. NH facility to get appropriate storage and return truck. Back in 2009 I rented a large truck from. Uhaul in Tilton, NH. and the UHaul Staff was Excellent. In 2018 I rented a storage unit from UHaul in Concord, NH and they were also excellent. Today Thursday October 15, 2020 I rented a storage unit from Arielle Vargas at your Manchester NH. Branch. Just when I thought the Customer Service at UHaul couldn't get any better Arielle and all the Employees at UHaul in Manchester NH. proved me wrong. U-Haul/NH has always been good to me. It's a pristine shop,professional and knowledgeable staff, and the feeling that I matter as a customer with both the move and the storage situation. We needed to upgrade our storage room to a larger one, we had to walk around the place 5x and wait like 10 additional minutes to find someone to help us. Then, not her fault, but she was new and did not know anything. They saw us pull in with the 27foot truck, we told them it was completely full, and the room that we were upgraded to did not even fit our stuff. we had to bring more stuff back to where we are staying, which is definately not the point of having a storage unit. I cannot even walk in there, so there is NO way of me finding anything ever until we move it all out. They should be knowledgeable of what size rooms will fit the trucks that people pull in with. If they knew they did not have a unit large enough to accommodate, I would expect them to get on the phone with a different uhaul in manchester or close by and find one that would be sufficient. If that is not possible, youre better off letting the customer know that rather than having an unhappy customer, because now my finace said he will never use uhaul again. and i really am not happy that i cannot go there to look for stuff when i want it. just saying- not completely her fault, she was new, but she should not have been left in that situation, there should have been someone knowledgeable with her until she was sufficiently trained.Sara I. | Premières impressions
