I accidentally left an e-cigarette in the truck and a pair of sunglasses return the truck after hours when I came back the next day to get my sunglasses and my e-cigarette they gave me my sunglasses but they threw my e-cigarette in the garbage this is a 40 $item I just can't believe this stupidity of the lot guys that they would throw that away thank you

Clean the vehicle in and out properly. When I returned the vehicle gas is off by 10cents for that they have collected 9 $. I feel it's not fare.

the only downside is the gas tank was not full. I filled it up on my return and was told I should of brought it back the same way... Really... and you would of charge me extra... There should be a place on your contract to indicate the fuel gage at inspection. thank you

I couldn't depart on time because the driver's side mirror was immovable. The attendant was finally able to loosen it enough to adjust it, but seemed bothered by the request. The starter made sounds every time I started the engine and every time I shut it off. The power steering was weak at best and required extra muscle to make slow turns. Aside from those concerns, things went well.

the receipt that was sent to me, and other receipts, were sent as a .gif file. this is not good as you can not enlarge it, and if you do, it becomes blurry. receipts should be sent as a JPEG or PNG file that makes it much easier to enlarge. a PDF would actually be the best. this is most likely due to a setting in the automatic receipt generation from your billing software. it is essential to the customer experience!

The service people were all super friendly. Excellent customer service. My only complaint is there is no one to direct you around back to where you pick up your trailer. I sat outside the service bay area waiting for someone for 10 minutes-and then drove around and realized it was further around.

We recently moved from Calgary to Vancouver. Rented a 20' truck one way from Calgary. Rented a storage unit between august-January and then used a 10' truck to move into our new place. We didn't have a single issue with anything. Only thing I would say could be better is that they don't prorate the storage unit if you move out early. We moved out two weeks early and still had to pay for the whole month.

The customer service at the counter was very friendly and super efficient!! Truck was waiting as I exited. My initial reservation was moved to this location which wasn't as close. I had multiple changes to my reservation. Keys weren't in the truck when I arrived which caused a delay. The front driveway is TOO crowded! Returns and pickups should be in different places.

The equipment return process did not work on my iPhone for some reason. I couldn't share my location so I had to use my wife's phone. The rental paper told us to use the UHaul app but when I logged in it wasn't clear where I should go; the link was at the bottom of the page in a menu so I was standing in the rain expecting things to work quickly and they didn't.

I went to a Surrey location to drop off as with my initial rental I was told I can call ahead and drop off the rental anywhere close to where I was moving too and then I called ahead and when arrived was rudely asked why I was there and that this could not be accommodated and the sales associate was in my face. I dropped off the trailer later after hours at the designated location. The person I talked to at the marine location was great but the Surrey Langley location that service was DEPLORABLE

We went to Uhaul to pick up the truck that we rented and their system was not working. We had to wait for half an hour to pick it up, which delayed all our moving and workers. We picked the truck up using the paper process. They could have used the paper process instead of saying, "you have to wait, we don't know when our system is gonna be fixed". Please fix the system immediately when it's down.

I ended up using this location because I was unable to use the online booking system to do what I needed: rent a truck for more than 24 hours. Overall the experience of trying to utilize the online tools was completely frustrating - absolutely none of the functions worked as they should and so every step of the process had to be done with a live human. The staff at this location were courteous and efficient, not stellar, but they were able to help me book, rent, and return the van when the website completely crapped the bed. I work in tech and I can say with certainty that the Uhaul website is the absolute worst piece of burning garbage I've ever had the misfortune to have to interact with. I picked up the van with 1/8 tank of gas. The tank is supposed to have 1/4 when returned or you get charged a fee. The attendant told me I would get a credit for additional fuel in the van above 1/8. I returned van with 5/8 so an extra 4/8 tank. At 117 liters per tank that is an extra 58 liters at 1,23 $ per liter that is a credit of 71,34 $. I got a credit of 18,06 $.

Mis-information is posted on your website/advertisements & email correspondence regarding 24 Hr access which was ultimately the reason for choosing your location for storage. I was disappointed when I was told your policy had been changed & nothing anywhere reflected that. Also was told my lock was waiting in the locker & that was not the case.

The Marine Drive location was great. However, I had booked at the Fraser Speedway outlet and they cancelled my reservation, on the day I was there to pick it up, without any notice or warning. This caused a major problem for me and delayed my move by hours as I had to call UHaul and eventually book a new truck at Marine Drive

I arranged for pick up at 1000 am, but there were so many delays that I didn't leave until 1045. Also, I reserved 2 furniture dolly's, but they had been booked by the time I got the truck. What's the point of reserving them if they are given away under first come first serve?!

I ordered a furniture dolly along with my truck rental to move my furniture. The day I booked the rental, the website shows that the dolly is available. However, during the truck pickup, I was told the dolly is out of stock. This completely threw my moving plan out the window because the dolly was a key part to the furniture move. I would not have rented the truck knowing that I wasn't going to get a dolly. I was lucky that my friend had one to lend to me otherwise I would've wasted my truck rental cost and the strata move out fee. The staff and the truck themselves were good. However, you cannot advertise the availability of your equipments then failing to provide them THE DAY of the rental. I've always used your services and I had 100 % confidence in your reliability. However, not so much now after this incident.

My only issue is with your staff who drive the vehicles around the lot. They are aggressive, rude, and drive dangerously fast. You need to control them.

After some initial confusion about a reservation that was not on file, a manager I spoke to made sure we had a large space to move into. It was an emergency and we would have been left with a moving truck full of our things had the manager not worked fast to make sure I had a choice of two spaces when we arrived. It was a huge relief and I am grateful for the fast action we got on our Aug 6 move in day. We are long-term customers at U-Haul, and have been very pleased with the service and storage at your facility. We have closed our account now, because we have storage at home, but we will use U-Haul for all our storage (and moving van) needs in the future and will recommend it to our family and friends.

After driving 12+ hrs to the facility to find out that the size of unit is first come first serve- is unacceptable. Then the was the only lock is the circular lock spiel. The unit was dirty- mouse droppings and mouse traps. Empty uhaul trucks should not be parked in front of the loading dock in the most convenient spaces. There were no lights in the unit. Also there didn't seem to be any garbage bin within sight .

The only negative was that when I went there to rent a smaller 2nd unit I was told that I have to carry my stuff by hand outside the building around to where the 2nd unit would be and no use of dolly was allowed or any other helping means. At this point I had gotten the truck returned. so that would have been impossible to be done by hand and on foot.

Aftet driving 11 hrs we really didn't want to hear thst our reserved locker was not available & that was first come first served. Our 149 $locker became a larger locker at 199 $. The lock that I took off my previous locker was unacceptable so we had to use a loaner with one key or purchase a new one with 2 keys. The locker had two locks on the floor from a previous renter. The operation in the warehouse was short staffed. The silver lining was because it was near closing time the staff processed the uhaul trailer return quickly near the cargo bay. I chose the locker because the Richmond uhaul office ran out out the size while processing my credit card. I chose the SE Marine Vancouver location because they had one available at a slightly higher price. I changed the trailer drop off location to SE Marine Drive. But was in shock when they told me that unit was not available . It is like booking snd reserving a hotel room after a long journey and being told that the room is first come first served bur we have another room at a higher price. hotel room for

Too many rental trucks and trailers blocking driveways and loading docks. I would consistently not be able to access my storage unit because even the pedestrian zone at the bottom of the loading dock would have trailers parked so close together it was impossible to walk there. Too many vehicles blocking the road in front of the office. The area needs to be redesigned so there is enough space for vehicles to actually drive through the area. Why would it be assumed that I am happy to sit in my vehicle waiting for stuff to be moved. Perhaps once or twice, but not on every visit. I have things to do.

Hello, I emptied the storage on September 6th 2020. I brought my stuff to storage last year in July and I was told and assured that there are no mice or rats I the storage. When I empty the storage there was mice poop under the couch and table. This is disappointing. Why say something and not keep up with the commitment. I wAs happy with storage until the last day when I found the mice or rat poop. It is dangerous cause it contains pathogens. You guys need to take it seriously as it involves customer and tour staff health. Merci

Everything but Access is perfect There's a huge loading bay but it's not accessable as it's facilities parking for tricks & forklift storage .. Impossible to unload with 1 or 2 spots available as too many people Fox this pls

Great, excellent and secure storage. Easily to move in and out. Highly rated. The one thing that could be fixed is the sensor error when trying to check out. It would always say door is open but even though fully locked and secure. I believe it is one of the sensors.

Good morning, My experience with Uhaul was great until I went to rent a truck to move my belongings out to the storage. it too almost an hour to have a 10" moving truck, and upon the return, there was am attentant, but he hust motioned to My driver Ron just park it over there, and lock it up, did not tell where to put key, and got charged 100,00 $ to have the truck opened to retrieve the keys. Way too busy here. Staff use the loading bays for truck and trailer parking. I finally got fed up and moved all my things out. Loading bays should be only for customer's use.

U haul was great. Stored my things for a year, visiting my locker often. The only downside was getting a place to park at loading bay, and big rigs blocking the lot entrance or exit for hours on end. U haul trucks taking loading dock parking was a big problem if you were not flexible on days or times, otherwise the place was great, always clean, and easy to get to your locker.

All the staff I spoke with were friendly and helpful. I spoke with some employees in the docking area, the service counter person was extremely fiendly - showing me the size options, directions, patient with explanations. The person who removed the service lock on the locker also friendly.

While it is nice to have a temperature controlled facility, the temperature is too warm when you are loading and unloading the unit. It seems to me that it the temperature could be lowered a little to still protecting the items in storage while not making it uncomfortable for your customers.

My experience at the U-Haul storage on S. East Marine Dr. in Vancouver was great. I had no trouble getting a locker, the size of my locker I needed and the staff were friendly and very efficient. When it was time for me to move my things out the closing out of my locker was very easy and very quick. I have nothing but good things to say about this unit/storage facility as my experience was great. Thank you for being there when I needed a place to store my valuables.

I had a hard time receiving a rebate when a staff member forgot to use a new pre paid account I had submitted. Spent 25 minutes on the phone to get an extra 15 $but other than that staff was good. The prices in general are too high. Would be better if they were 20-25 % lower. I appreciate the 10 $for 24 hour access. That is reasonable. Thanks

Only issue I have is the phone service. Every time I fall I'm always put on hold for longer than 30min which I then end up phoning the 1800 number instead. Also need more staff working because last time I was there I only had a quick question and had to wait in a line up of 8 people with it looked like 2 staff working. Lastly they should monitor their storage units better as when I was moving my stuff out, there was a guy a few lockers down taking a shower and changing in his locker and wouldnt give us the stairs.

Found mouse droppings throughout my unit, as well as a dead mouse as I opened my door. When signing up for my unit last year, the gentleman in front of me complained of the same thing. I think this facility has a pest problem. That is my main complaint about the facility. Everything else was fine and the service was great.

When I moved into the storage unit the staff here was beyond friendly and were very helpful. However when I moved out your female manager treated me very disrespectfully .. we had just drove there all the way from prince George and we were exhausted and still had the massive task of moving everything out. It was 35 minutes to 5 pm and I couldn't find the key to my locker. She informed me that if I didnt have a locksmith there by 5 pm then I would not be able to access my locker. She was rude and completely unwilling to accomadate at all. Thank god another staff member stayed behind to wait for locksmith (which cost me 200 $) It was honestly so much more stressful than it needed to be and she could have handled the situation a lot better. In my personal opinion she gives the company a very bad name.

The Uhaul website mentioned that the storage unit will be free for the first month. However, the exact conditions were not mentioned on the website nor were clarified when I spoke to a representative at the supposed location via phone. Secondly, the email sent to me about the reservation specified the store closing hours to be 7 pm. However, when I reached the Uhaul storage location, the location was closed by 5 pm. This caused a lot of delay in my moving plans and ended up costing more than it should for my Uhaul trip due to the extra kms driven. This isn't my first bad experience with Uhaul and it does not seem like this would be the last.

I showed up with a reservation on my selected move-in date, just to learn you don't have an unit for me. What's the point of taking reservations, if the units are actually first-come-first-serve? I eventually managed to get a smaller unit at a different location, for a much higher price. I have told every person I've met about this experience with you, and I'm tremendously disappointed.
