I think the inside of the windshield of my truck might need to be washed because the outside wipers did not help clean it off and improve visibility. I have to do that periodically with my truck, at least. Otherwise the truck was in good shape for an old GMC with 120k+ miles on it!Kevin F.

The overall experience was good. However, there were multiple times that I received lol notices of late rent when my card was on file. I had to constantly make sure that the office staff had my card on file. This resulted in notices going to my family members. Great location, no issues dropping off tow dolly, which they took off and no issues leaving my vehicle there while the unloading was being done. Once I bought back the truck literally took a few minutes to go over confirm gas and no damage and be on my way. A very easy and efficient setup they have there.randy A.
It was not clean when I get there to put my things in I was told that it would they would clean it they didn't clean it I had to. After that each time I went to visit my storage unit I had to beg them to move a truck from front of the door they had it parked at every time I when I go to visit at night time there's no one there to move the truck. Apparently something is wrong with the mileage on the truck. It said I went over 30 miles when I literally drove from Sharon Rd to Park Rd and back. My GPS says that's approximately 3,6 mile drive going and coming. They obviously need to check the mileage per gallon on the truck. Never had an issue at any UHaul facility until now.Salyna D.

Very disappointed with Uhaul in Charlotte NC! I made a reservation for a 10 ft truck months in advance but upon arriving at the original location I was told my truck was not available and would have to take a 15 ft at a different location! The truck also had a broken drivers side mirror. Additionally I was told that I would only be charged the original truck rate but this did not happen. I've used your service on multiple occasions and this has been by far the most disappointing.Charles R.

Uhaul changed the connection on some trailers to a clamp type with a spring. This type in comparison to the crank down type is awful. The noise level from this new type gives you a headache by the noise it causes every time you hit a bump in the road. Don't let them give you this type. Go to another Uhaul location and get the crank down type.Sergei B.
You should keep the alleyway between the units clear of vans and monitor the way people park because many times you couldn’t get through to your unit and had to go around the other buildings but a lot of that’s from typical rude drivers in Charlotte area, so the staff should just monitor it and restrict people from blocking the area with vehicles and make sure that people drive extra careful through the alleyway between the buildings.Tate P. | Expérience générale

The Rental Pick Up Location was fine. My only frustration was that the pickup location was changed and I did not find out until the day before my reservation. The new location was about 20 minutes farther. There was also a gas return level discrepancy that I believe was resolved but an inconvenience to go through.Chris H.

The 2 racist men came, saw our Black faces worked for 10 minutes., claimed they were both running to get beverages then text me to say the are canceling due to an emergency. This was probably the worst U-Haul I have ever rented. And I have rented many. Check engine light was on from the start. Engine clearly having issues getting going from a stop. Brakes not wanting to engage as fast as they should. This vehicle needs pulled from the streets and sent in for maintenance. On June 5 I went into the location to make sure the account was paid up because there was an issue with my card on file. I talk to the manager Doug who was very helpful and we paid up my account through July since we planned on July being the last month. I realize we lost the key to the unit so I had to cut the lock and purchase a new one that same day. Well last weekend I started moving out of my unit and moving my mom into her new place. I received a call Sunday asking if we still wanted our unit, I thought that was odd since we were in and out of the unit all day Saturday and Sunday moving things to our place. Unfortunately we got cut off by the rain so we had to postpone finishing the move. Well today I tried to call them again to see what this message was in reference to. I got in touch with the customer service representative who stated that I no longer had a unit. I figured I should drive by the location to see what was going on. When I got there I found out that they had emptied out my unit and thrown out all of our belongings. What's even more infuriating is that they had already re-rented out my unit that was paid through the end of the month. I spoke with the person at the front desk and they called Doug. Doug apologized and said that he had a lot going on and for some reason I thought because we left the unit unlocked that we no longer wanted any of our possessions that were in the unit. Below is a list of items that were thrown out. I can't in my right mind figure out how this could happen. One call was made to me before they threw our stuff out. I hate this because Doug was great and very helpful the entire time. Mistakes happen but I need to figure out what we can do to replace the possession that are now ruined. My only complaint is the reservation center did not relay my reservation to the site. When we got there, there were no more large units available. We ended up with two smaller units on the second floor- not the large unit we could just drive up to. VERY INCONVENIENT! Especially after driving in from Florida. Manager was amazing and tried to make this right but it took over an hour of our valuable time. Reservation Center sold me an office space not a storage unit! But she didn't have that either. The ladies in the office gave me a key to remove their lock that didnt work, so I had to go back to the office. They ended up reassigning me to another storage, luckily next to it. The management and staff at 1400 Sharon Rd. W. U-Haul were always friendly, courteous and helpful. I couldn't have asked for a better customer service experience and is my reason for an excellent overall experience rating. Might be helpful if U-Haul addressed the elevator glitch. Oftentimes I could check in with my card at the front gate, yet unable to access the elevator to my 2nd floor storage unit. The card reader at the elevator either wouldn't read my card or would read it and yet the elevator would still not work.This caused the manager and staff to have to interrupt what they were doing to come and help me resolve it.
