Their was a tire light maintenance needed but that's only issue it was having

Robert tI was asked to provide 2 references in which the rep said he had to call and verify, when I saw other customers there with me that only had to provide one, or no references, and of which they did not call. The rep also kept telling me that could not rent to me if he could not get in touch with both references within 2 phone calls. I was mistreated.
Timothy GWhen I dropped off the vehicle I was told I was good to go but was later charged $25 for a "cleaning fee" for not folding the furniture blankets. I wasn't told this when I picked up or dropped off the vehicle. I was told that I should have seen the warning on the truck. I'm very surprised that Uhaul chose to not make this situation right as I'm a very loyal customer. After this experience I'll just use a different service moving forward.

Matthew BI originally made my reservation at Pineville, NC branch via UHaul app. UHaul app kept crashing Fri late afternoon, more than 5 times. When I showed up at Pineville, NC location, they mentioned to me that system took the reservation but did not allocate a truck. Trucks were all gone and I was bumped to the Sharon Road West location. UHaul app very poor quality

LAMBROS BNeeded a truck for a move and really didn't know any other companies to go with. It served the purpose however; there was no discounts for Military (active and retired) nor for senior citizens. Milage costs were a bit too expensive for in town travel and if I were able to return the truck at a different location then that would have been preferred. Ladies in the office when returning the truck were talking on their personal phones and not very kind or welcoming. The guy who helped us get a storage unit was very kind and helpful.

LESLIE ZThere was a sign for Equipment drop off, not one for Trucks. Very misleading. The drop box for after hours is not clearly marked. Took me way too long to figure out what needed to be done. 30 minutes plus I will never get back. Lights, and signs are necessary for people to understand what to do, especially after hours when the personnel onsite will not help. I will be using another moving truck service in the future.

They kept accusing me of living there even thought I had no sleeping gear there. The General manager even went as far as having other tenants to try and spy on me which was totally ridiculous. I would never rent there again as long that management team is in place. The only saving grace was the young lady that showed me around initially. She was kind, courteous, and very professional. The last 2 weeks of me renting the unit i was only there twice. I'm a machinist by trade. I got absolutely no work completed. I hate to leave this comment, unfortunately there is no positive comment to leave.

My unit was supposed to have been climate controlled be didn't seem to be that way when I removed my items from the unit. I remember when I first put my items in that unit (I believe that was in 2014) that I could feel air conditioning but couldn't feel it the day I moved my items out. There was also water on the floor of the hallway near where my unit was and more water that seemed to be coming from under the walls in that hallway. There was some type of vent tubing in the ceiling of the hallway near my unit that seemed not to be connected to anything.

That location is 3 miles away. I drove that truck from Nashville and it was loaded. I didn't want to drive it in rush hour again to get a lock because their supply was out. He told me I had and an attitude and was wasting time talking about other options. I was in the office almost an hour. My wife and son were waiting in the truck. I'm canceling the reservation and using CubeSmart for storage.

I told the manager that I will supplied the light bulb all I needed was the ladder and he refused to help me. After being a customer for 7 years I thought it was something that they should have help me with, so I decided to move my stuff to another warehouse and of course not with your company, It's too bad , they lost a good customer who had an auto payment and they never had problems with me in all those years. I will not recommend your company to any of my friends.

I had to constantly make sure that the office staff had my card on file. This resulted in notices going to my family members. That is not acceptable and should be corrected.

I got behind in my payment so therefore they gave me a deadline to come and remove my things when I did my lock was cut I have things that was missing they gave me a deadline to get my things out of the storage I was there on the 27th and paid $100 and I got there the lock was cut I have items that I missing they refuse to talk to me Miss Britney that work there with very rude The young man named Douglas said he was manager but he had some men or his so-called security to come after me So next best thing for me to do was to call the attorney general They refused to give me my items back

Cinquetta E | Expérience généraleYou should keep the alleyway between the units clear of vans and monitor the way people park because many times you couldn’t get through to your unit and had to go around the other buildings but a lot of that’s from typical rude drivers in Charlotte area, so the staff should just monitor it and restrict people from blocking the area with vehicles and make sure that people drive extra careful through the alleyway between the buildings.

kevin m | Expérience généraleOn June 5 I went into the location to make sure the account was paid up because there was an issue with my card on file. I talk to the manager Doug who was very helpful and we paid up my account through July since we planned on July being the last month. I realize we lost the key to the unit so I had to cut the lock and purchase a new one that same day. Well last weekend I started moving out of my unit and moving my mom into her new place. I received a call Sunday asking if we still wanted our unit, I thought that was odd since we were in and out of the unit all day Saturday and Sunday moving things to our place. Unfortunately we got cut off by the rain so we had to postpone finishing the move. Well today I tried to call them again to see what this message was in reference to. I got in touch with the customer service representative who stated that I no longer had a unit. I figured I should drive by the location to see what was going on. When I got there I found out that they had emptied out my unit and thrown out all of our belongings. What's even more infuriating is that they had already re-rented out my unit that was paid through the end of the month. I spoke with the person at the front desk and they called Doug. Doug apologized and said that he had a lot going on and for some reason I thought because we left the unit unlocked that we no longer wanted any of our possessions that were in the unit. Below is a list of items that were thrown out. I can't in my right mind figure out how this could happen. One call was made to me before they threw our stuff out. I hate this because Doug was great and very helpful the entire time. Mistakes happen but I need to figure out what we can do to replace the possession that are now ruined. Items that were in the unit: Ashley hybrid Queen mattress Bamboo pillow top mattress Istikbal futon couch Several rugs - (1) 4 x 6, (1) 3 x 5, (2) 2 x 3 and (2) entry door mats Box of wall art Plug in floor mop

We ended up with two smaller units on the second floor- not the large unit we could just drive up to. VERY INCONVENIENT! Especially after driving in from Florida. Manager was amazing and tried to make this right but it took over an hour of our valuable time. Reservation Center sold me an office space not a storage unit! But she didn't have that either. This issue seems to be entirely on the reservation center and poor communication.

This was my 2nd facility visited that day because the doorway at my original reservation at the Uptown storage location, was too narrow for my sofa. Thank you Douglas Blake Jr and crew!

The ladies in the office gave me a key to remove their lock that didnt work, so I had to go back to the office. They ended up reassigning me to another storage, luckily next to it. Because of there mix up I had to stay past the time of truck check in. But she assured me that she wouldn't charge me for having to check in late.

I couldn't have asked for a better customer service experience and is my reason for an excellent overall experience rating. Might be helpful if U-Haul addressed the elevator glitch. Oftentimes I could check in with my card at the front gate, yet unable to access the elevator to my 2nd floor storage unit. The card reader at the elevator either wouldn't read my card or would read it and yet the elevator would still not work.This caused the manager and staff to have to interrupt what they were doing to come and help me resolve it. They were always polite and always displayed a wonderful attitude.

This is Compared to our storage unit at Park Road which had no mildew ever. Also, Utility carts never available. Always available at Uhaul Park Road. Property gates always open. Again not at Park Rd. We were told utility carts were unavailable at Sharon Rd since they keep getting stolen. Thus we moved out.

We will not use again if we can avoid it. This particular site is a dingy dirty facility. We moved to another storage. Would not use again or recommend to anyone.

Joel G | Premières impressionsI had a roll up door get stuck which took 13 months to have repaired. The general manager (not the desk people, but the manager above them) at the time was extraordinarily confrontational. He was retired military and talked to me like I was his subordinate. Fact is - I am retired military as well and recognized the fact that he had apparently not been properly re-socialized to life in the civilian world. At other times the desk people have ranged from friendly and outgoing, to dismal and apathetic. The turnover of employees interfered with developing any kind of good relationship between me and the facility. Having been an eighteen year customer, I would have expected that the staff would be able to at least recognize me to the point that we did not have to wade through my records to establish that I am in fact a customer and just wanted access to my unit. The facilities were good enough (with the exception of the door) but overall a very disappointing experience. Pay people enough that want to make a career there and all of the above could be improved.

I especially appreciate Sam at the Sharon Rd West location for helping me with an issue I was having while trying to pay the rent for my storage unit. She was very professional and helped me a great deal! U-Haul has a lot of security features and very clean storage units. They make renting their trucks/vans easy as well. I will never use another storage facility or moving rental facility again!

The movers and I did notice that the layout of the building is pretty tight and labrynthine and a little difficult to maneuver large furniture.

While I did the online check in as recommended to reduce my wait time - it did nothing of the sort. The lady that checked me in still asked me all the same questions I did during the online check in a couple of days prior. Had to enter my credit card information in 3 times which made me feel uneasy as I know that's how scammers get credit card information as well. On top of that, none of the staff were wearing masks which is a requirement in NC. Instead, they propped up boxes against the check in counter to keep customers away from them. Took me about 30 minutes to wait in line and get checked out to get my rental vehicle.

The power happened to be out at the initial point in time I came by because of a severe storm, but they allowed me additional flexibility to unload my truck if I needed it without any additional cost.
