Hire staff focused on customer service and remind current staff they are working in customer service. Yelp review left but staff were not practicing safe CoVID protocols, chatting and eating their lunch (with mouth wide open) while ignoring customers, and declining to assist when request made and just told to look at the app and it'll answer all questions.

The young man who hooked up the trailer for me really impressed me. He did a great job hooking it up, but more importantly when I asked questions he showed me how everything works. In my opinion, that's pretty important, because you never know what can happen such that you need to disconnect and reconnect a trailer. He was very intelligent, professional and personable. A trifecta!

The place was very busy and chaotic at drop off, the return lane was full. I parked the truck off to the side and let the agent know where it was, he said it would be fine and they would check it in. It took 4 calls to customer service and then the agent had to guilt the manager into checking it in a day later. No extra charge, but 2 hours spent on hold waiting to speak to people. I will never use Slaughter lane again and may not use Uhaul again.

When I picked up my truck the employee who pulled it around did not have a mask on and was coughing in the truck. I also did not receive the appliance dolly I ordered and paid for. When I returned the truck I guess I pulled it in the parking lot the wrong way and I received a lot of attitude from the employee even though there was no one else there returning equipment. Once I got home I had a voicemail saying I did not return the appliance dolly I rented even though I never received it. Worst experience ever on a very stressful day of moving. Will never use uhaul again.

The employee I spoke with falsely quoted the mileage rate over the phone when I called to change the day of the reservation. Customer service was rude when I asked about it at the specific location and the representatives at the 1(800) number I was directed toward gave me the run-around when I called. I asked them to honor the rate I was quoted and they not only refused but did so in a disrespectful manner and it was apparent they do not value their customers. The truck itself was fine however I would urge anyone renting through them to watch out for misrepresentation of rates and verify before wasting your time driving to this location only to be told the rental will actually be more than you were quoted. Try to find another location if you can!

If at all humanly possible, we will never use UBoxes again. U-Haul makes it quite easy to swipe your credit card to sign up for this service on the front end, leaving ample room for the user to imagine that the rest of the experience might be just as straightforward as their taking of your money. In reality, you're dealing with multiple companies: U-Haul, their U-Box subsidiary, the Moving Help platform (another subsidiary), whatever moving company you hire on that platform, and the individual U-Haul facility where you are storing your boxes (we had two! because our boxes were inexplicably separated from each other). This means that finding help demands your navigating a complex web of relationships among those companies, meaning that you are able to find a brand-new crack to fall through each time you reach out for help or information. Zero stars.

Came to pick up truck and had to wait. After I went inside they said the keys are inside. I went out and they had locked the keys in the truck so they gave me another truck that wasn't clean at all and had food all in the cab. The truck should have never been sent out and the inside of the cab smelt like weed. I would like to have a call back and see about getting something done about the charges. This truck was not clean and unsafe to drive.

Issue with a hitch I ordered to be installed. Never got a call saying it wouldn't be in for the install and won't be available until the 28th. Asked if they could work with me on renting a truck and they took 90 $off, sure I would have paid 100 $less for a trailer but that's still 100 $not to mention having to drive 2 vehicles and filling them both up with gas. Extremely inconvenient and un helpful. Likely won't use uhaul again for anything.

I booked a 9ft cargo van for that day (at least 5 days out) and that's what was booked for me. 3 days later I look at my reservation and it was changed without telling me to a 10ft book truck the person I called wasn't helpful in the least. upon pick up and delivery there was a guy there not using proper safety protocols(mask not on upon return and mask on chin inside talking Face to face with employees and customers) this is the second time in 3 months I've seen that guy not following mask rules. I will never use this u haul again. Biggest waste of time and money

U-Haul at Slaughter doesn't answer phones. During the pandemic, I went inside and only one worker, Jeanie was wearing a mask. Social distancing was not taken seriously. I had to call the national office numerous times to get a message to Ross the manager there. I had major heart surgery and didn't want to go back inside again because it was a risk to my health. Better attention to clients needs to be addressed. I had storage there since 2005. Glad that part of my life is over.

The truck was pulled up and the rep said I was good to go. The back was filled with the remnants of rotten food, pillows and other trash. It appeared that a vagrant was living in the truck. I called to let them know they should secure their vehicles better and was treated like I was their enemy. I was also surprised that one employee out of the 5 or 6 I saw in the office was wearing her mask.

I do not remember his name, but the young man who hooked the trailer up was extremely professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. He noticed immediately that the trailer would be riding just a little low, so the took the ball mount and reversed the ball on the mount for me so the trailer would ride at the proper height. This young man went above and beyond to make sure everything was right before I left. He is to be commended.

The cabin was disgusting! There was food on the floor and in the cupholders. The seats also had something sticky on them. There was white stuff, which looked like dried sweat, on the dash and steering wheel. And bonus, the cabin smelled like nasty cigarette smoke. It took my sister and myself an hour just to clean up everything.

Messed up my billing and illegally locked me out of my unit. I called days ahead and was told by management that everything was taken care of, but was still locked out when I arrived with professional movers. Had to wait a half hour in long line for someone to unlock the unit. Even though I moved out on the 6th, was still made to pay for the full month through the 26th.

~ The truck has a very annoying, high-pitched whistle which occurs at about 70 miles an hour; not very fun on a 24-hour road trip! Seems to come from the driver's-side windshield, in the corner. ~ The air conditioning would also simply cut off, for no reason, causing us to scramble about playing with dials, etc. until it began working again. ~ The young man I initially spoke with about accessing our free 1-month self storage unit was more interested in telling me what was wrong-- i.e. he wasn't finding a reservation made from the Holland, Michigan store-- than in how to help me remedy the situation. I literally had to ask him, "So is there anything you can do to help me fix this instead of telling me what is wrong?" He immediately responded, "Oh! I can make a reservation for you." Why wasn't that his first suggestion?! ~ When I arrived to get my storage unit the help seemed unsure of what they were doing. When we were finally assigned a unit and took our first load up, we opened the unlocked unit to fin d it full of someone else's stuff! When I returned to the office, no explanation was offered for the mix-up and no apology for the inconvenience. Maybe a little better training in customer service is needed?

When I moved in the alarm system was malfunctioning and there didn't seem to be any urgency in fixing it. Also, the after hours entry system didn't work. Most of the staff was friendly, but some could have been more friendly. When I moved out, everything seemed to work fine.

This U-Haul storage facility is clean and easy to use. I felt like my things were safe. It was just too expensive.

U-haul is a very safe place to store things and the price for climate control is reasonable. There's a large elevator, lots of carts, good cart ramps, and good docking ramps. Well staffed, clean.

We were greeted by the store manager and I can't tell you how impressed we were with his hospitality. It was a wonderful welcome back to Texas. Everyone there was absolutely wonderful! So helpful!

My first selection for storage would be U-Haul. They seem to be located at an easy access area. The prices are equal or better than most place. The people are always there to help. Carl Banic

Roaches were seen in the facility and I had some concern regarding the safety of my belongings due to the fact I found automatic sliding doors were found unlocked around 3 am.

Had to wait over 30 minutes to get service due to there being only one person running the register. If someone is not qualified to run a register then they should not be loitering in the checkout are

I rested a u-box. When is cam to pick it up out of storage. I was not aware that they needed 24 hour notice to get it out of storage. When checking out U-haul should inform people to avoid delays.
