I made a reservation the night before for a 15' truck, when I arrived to pick up there were no longer any 15' vehicles and I was instead given something larger. I asked if I could have a smaller truck and was denied despite there being several in the lot. This made navigation, moving, and filling up the gas incredibly difficult.

6 X 12 trailer I picked up was probably the best one I have ever got from UHaul, and I have probably rented at least 8 or 10 in the past 10 years. It had brand new tires on it which was comforting. Nice folks at this location but the location is kind of hard to get in and out because of its tight location in the city.

There needs to be more than one person behind the counter. The person working when I was there was competent, calm, and friendly, but still It was almost a half hour wait to get checked in. The person behind me was just trying to buy a couple of boxes. Surely there could be a rental checkin counter and a separate purchasing counter to make things smoother for everyone? I saw a few people who wanted to buy moving supplies walk out because the wait was too long. I think y'all probably lose a lot of sales that way.

The customer service was very professional considering he was the only one working that morning with a long line of customers. It was storming yesterday morning and the 1st uhaul I rented was leaking water from the roof. When I brought it back, he switched trucks for me quickly. He was also very helpful when I returned the truck yesterday evening.

i had ordered my van to be mobile pickup but when I got there the system had changed it to counter pickup

I had done an online check in when I reserved the truck then modified the reservation and it may have taken the online check in part off when I edited it on accident because when we got there it was not working so we had to wait in line for over an hour. The desk staff was nice but it took so long In there with only 2 people working the counter and the truck we had had a busted headlight and felt unsafe to drive. The movers we booked through the haul website were the absolute worst ever too. I would not go to this location again. I recommend the UHAUL on St Claude.

The app wasn't working, when I finally found my truck it was blocked in by another truck, when I spoke with customer service they were acting like I was wrong, they gave me another truck that was on 1/4th a tank of gas and the A/C was broken.

I really liked the truck and the ease of getting it. But please keep from changing the prices for the service. It started at one price but then you keep adding charges and don't explain why. I thought I was paying one price but ended up way more expensive. Not cool.

Rented a truck with a transmission that was on the verge of going out . When i picked up the vehicle the gas gauge was on 3/8 of a tank , drove a total of 12 mi and put $15 of gas in. the needle didn't move ,put in another $10 still didn't move , put in another $20 and the needle move back to 3/8 . Told them at Uhaul the gauge was broken they simply shrugged . Not doing business there again .

The price was ridiculous in Louisiana to return to Texas. Another customer that day did the exact rental coming from Texas to Louisiana and were charged around 350, but I was given a price of 900 +. Wow. I arrived at Uhaul 12:45 and didn't leave until 2:38 for some reason equipment along with paper work continued to be the issue. I was very disappointed in the way Uhaul chose to take advantage of me in this situation especially since I have been a customer for years.

The primary issue I encountered was related to a one way return of a trailer. One of the Uhaul employees helped me unhook the trailer from my vehicle, and promised to email me an invoice indicating the trailer was returned. I will take some blame for trusting this would happen. In hindsight, I should have insisted that he check the trailer in and give me a final invoice before I left. By the way, I returned the trailer a day early. Two days later I received a call from Uhaul wanting to know when I was going to return the trailer. Over the next two days, I had at least three different phone conversations with customer service and asset recovery about the issue. I had already traveled back home (in another state), but had my son go by to take pictures and videos showing the trailer at the return site. After 3 days of fielding calls and emails, Uhaul finally acknowledged the unit had been returned, and closed out the rental agreement with no further charges. My suggestion for Uhaul is if their system shows a unit has not been returned, contact the Uhaul site designated for return to make sure if return unit is physically on their yard BEFORE contacting and harassing the customer about the return. Lesson learned......next time I won't leave the return site without confirmation their system shows the unit returned. Also, be sure to take pictures and videos so you have proof.

Every thing was incorrect from the mileage off 8 miles to the fuel off 1/4 tank to the trash and old food behind the seat. The truck smelled like cannabis and cigarettes.

My Van was ready once I left office. I've Never given good rating to this location and prepare myself for aggravating experience. I Was Pleasantly Surprised.

The unit that I rented seemed to “rattle” when I would hit the slightest bump. Maybe the cargo box siding against the cargo box framing? Some isolation inserts or polyurethane caulking may be the solution to get rid of the “rattling” Also, the engine light came on at the end of my rental. Might want to check it out. Thanks

I'm considering posting my pictures and video to the Google Reviews, etc. Truck was horrible, lights were coming on, needle kept spiking to 4-5RPMs, gas was not where it should be at rental, paid almost $800 for a truck and the truck was unusable for most of my move. I have video showing the ride, the dash lights, the gas meter and where the paper says it was, the dirtiness of the cabin. I deserve a refund. No one addressed my videos of all the problems with the truck. U-haul customer service has gone down.

J & J Movers were outstanding. First, they were on time , introduce themselves and very professional. Immediately, they scoped the task at hand and went right to work. Myself and a buddy of mine offered to help but they took charge of the job and all we did was watched and observed how efficient and easy they worked. They setup everything that needed assembling and moved everything into place without any problems. I would highly recommend J & J Movers to anyone needing assistance with their moving. Very nice and professional team that has a very good chance very successful Movers.

Everything was all good, but the lady inside had assigned me a trailer that was buried by 20 other trailers outside, so the guy outside had to go back inside to assign me a trailer that was accessible without moving all the other trailers. The guy outside did that very quickly, but it might be a good idea for UHaul to have the inside person at the counter and computer check with the guys outside first to assign a trailer that isn't buried behind other trailers to save everyone a step.

The check-in process was less than enjoyable. No one was able to clearly provide instructions. And my vehicle was not checked in on the day I brought it back. I got a call from uhaul the next day asking when I was returning the truck. The rep was very nice and cleared up the misunderstanding quickly, but it speaks to how poorly the return process is managed.

Reserved a 4 bedroom storage or 4 room storage and when I went to put the furniture in the storage unit was a closet. I talked to the manager Brandon Pierre and he was very rude and said that's all they had available. I stood talking with the associate before he even came out the office and his office is literally one step away. We went back and forward about the storage not being a 4 bedroom unit. He said the person that helped was working from home and didn't know what sizes the storage units are, I told they should have knowledge of anything they are selling from uhaul. Brandon gave me a refund on the storage but I feel I should get a refund for the truck that I used and loaded for nothing. Tulane Ave. UHaul is very unprofessional and unorganized. Would not recommend anyone to that one.

When changing over ownership about a year and a half ago, within 10 minutes someone backed a U-haul truck into my car and caved in the driver door. The reception was unhelpful and said they could not check security cameras and I was given a contact number to call. No one answered this number or responded to my voicemails. I assume that it was the business that backed the truck into my car, it cost me a $500 deductible. I would in no way shape or form recommend such a business to anyone.

Moved out of storage unit. Told store desk employee and followed their instruction. I was getting emails about my stuff being there and my payment was late. I called and told them I moved out. I got emails about stuff going up to auction. I called and told them I moved out. I left a few things because I could not get them. I told desk employee. I even asked if they had somewhere I should throw the few things I had left. I have asked multiple times to speak with manager. Waited on phone for hours multiple times for almost a year. Was told he would return my call ever time after being placed on hold for unrealistic amounts of time. Was told he was hooking up trailer, filling up propane, checking truck, over in storage. None of these things should take almost two hours. He has never returned my phone calls. My account was sent to collections for over $1400. I am so disappointed and disgusted with the staff at this facility. I did everything I could to get this matter straightened out. The employee instructed me wrong. Had I known this would happen of course I would have done it differently. The manager avoids his duty to speak with customers and discuss important matters. I would not recommend this facility at all nor any Uhaul facility if I can not get this off my credit history. I should not have to pay for a storage unit I moved out of. I can not drive four hours to speak to a manager face to face. I am now going to reach out to headquarters on the matter.

I am giving excellent because the staff was very pleasant and helpful. I do have a problem because in the description of the storage unit it said 5xx8x10 and it is not that it is 5x8 at the front but it drops down to 4 or 3 foot. I really needed a storage unit as advertised. I will need to get into the storage unit often. I do not want to have to go and have to remove everything or close to everything just to get items out and put it all back just have to take it all out again to put it all back. I did not say anything the day I took possession because I was extremely tired and did not want to lose my temper. I hope that we can work something out because honestly it is misleading and I expect better of U-Haul.

I was actually the opening Manager before the storage units were built. We worked out of the temporary trailer when everything was manual before computerized. That was in the mid 70's. It was great to use the service of the facility that launched my career. Than you and I will love to refer people to your facility.

Line was long to door, 1 person working, no air conditioning. Rental truck slow. Assigned storage had lock on door, took 20 minutes for someone to remove. Waiting caused lost time to return truck.

Staff is very nice but this place has a major pest problem. Most of the items in my unit had to be thrown away or deep cleaned as it was covered in rat feces and urine. Traps aren't helping!
