I would have loved to see the rental truck cab at least vacuumed out. I had cigarette ashes everywhere. A proper clean sweep of not just the cargo but also the cab would be appreciated. Also the last minute switch of trucks wasn't right. I could not even give a proper check- over with the website provided( truck didn't match up). And don't even get me started with the after hour return app (completely useless).ANDREA V.
Understaffed. When I went to bring the vehicle back, the person couldnt be bothered with me. Annoying. Wouldnt look at me in the face and acknowledge my presence. Couldnt tell me he was busy with someone else.. I was a great big ol nuisance for him. My pick up date was Saturday, august 28,2021.My pick up location and pick uptime changed multiple times between this location and the dunkle location. Which caused issues with my moving help. I then was told dunkle had no available trucks nor did they see anything for me( even though I had/have received multiple emails for pickup changes) then Uhaul confirmed with them that my pickup location would be s. Waverly rd. I picked my truck up and it was extremely old, the steering wheel alignment was off, yet they still gave me this safety hazard truck. They knew the alignment was off when they drove the truck up, and didn't disclose this to me. The taillight was out, I found this out when moving because the police pulled me over and thankfully he didn't give me a ticket. Also the breaks didn't work well, sounded like there was air in them or something wrong with the breaks as well. It was unacceptable to have to experience this especially when I reserved my truck in advance. The steering made it hard to drive this huge 26â€ truck not to mention it should have never been given to a customer with so many issues.Tottionna A.
Not make it a two day hassle to return boxes. Your employees claimed the system was down. I went to another location and told them that waverly's system was down and without even checking was told that if there's is down so is ours. I then went to a third location and the system was fine but couldn't process my return because they didn't know how to change the card on file because I got a new debit card so they couldn't refund my inactive card. Finally an Associate at waverly figured it out after driving around town for two days with my car full of boxes!MAX FRANCIS F.

The truck was old, the seat buckle was broken but still worked. The windshield wiper were old and needed replacing. I had to put fuel in it right away. It only had a quarter of a tank in it at the beginning.KENNETH PAUL B.
The truck we rented had pet hair all over the seats. The floor boards were muddy and the truck had not been sanitized. We rent from this location since UHaul opened it up years ago. This is the first time we got a dirty truck. When we locked the truck after putting the keys in the key box we realized we had left personal belongings in the truck. We were on hold with customer care when A young man pulled up wearing a uhaul shirt. He was very rude and didn't even acknowledge me after I asked him if he was called to help us. He rolled his eyes said I wasn't called here for you and got in his car and sped off. The other staff in the store are great and they were very kind and courteous.Lisa P.

Hire new people! Anderson is ignorant about how to perform his job (and doesn't care) and he's rude to top it off. The guy with the huge holes in his ears (which may or may not match the one in his head) requested that I step aside and wait until he waited on the 3 people BEHIND me because I asked him to check my returned truck in to make sure everything was satisfactory. The kid that checked me in and out was rude. White kid - 20's. Tattoo on his right forearm. Chunky black glasses. No customer service skills. Gave as little information as possible. Truck had an oil change light on, the lady at the desk was rude and wanted to question everything I did when picking up the truck. I would have kept the truck for a couple more days but was told by a customer service representative that would not be happening and I could not get another truck until Monday. I trusted the trailer I rented was clean inside. When I opened up the trailer, it had a huge tub of oil soaked rags, and a couple of oil stained boxes. I learned to check before I leave the property. When I checked back in, I told the agent about it. She did not check inside to see if I cleaned it before going back to the building. Other than some small holes in the floor, the trailer was great.Matthew B.

the fuel economy of the truck really sucked, like, maybe 6-7 mpg? do better. mileage charge seems like a lot. 7 $to use the dolly is insane. when i was asked if the existing damage on the truck matched the photos, the photos were so grainy that i couldn't see anything at all. truck wasn't very clean in the first place. i just feel like it sets the renter up for like, picking out things on a whim to charge them for, because it's either click "i agree" or don't have a truck for moving. anyway basically you charge too much.Leonora D.

When trying to check the truck back in after hours the internet connection/ WiFi or the web site problem wouldn't connect to show my location and I worked on trying to get it checked back in for 29 minutes. Left in frustration so I was getting charged the extra 20 $for that problem that wasn't my fault.Deborah B.
I didn't catch the names, but the two men who were working Friday morning were super helpful. The truck had some cosmetic issues from the previous customer that they weren't able to fix and they felt horrible about it. They were super kind and helped us out a lot!David D.

Pick up was great. The employee was very knowledgeable, clear in her instructions and helpful. However, when we went to drop off there was three trucks in drop-off lane, plus three people/groups in line inside the place and no workers to be seen anywhere. We finally saw a worker outside who told us to just drop off our trailer in the parking lot. there was no formal inspection or process to dropping off, which made me uncomfortable.THOMAS ERIC M.

After reserving a trailer well in advance, the u-haul location didn't have the trailer we had reserved for the date we needed it. How does this happen? We had a 6x12 reserved for a specific date. All they had was a 4x8. It's a horrible way to run a business.randy S.

Picked up a 15 ft uhaul truck to move and they gave me a truck full of ash and reeking of smoke. They didn't discount me but charged me full price for this horrid truck and then CHARGED me a cleaning fee when I returned it. They told me to my face that it was incredibly dirty instead of getting me a different truck and now they charge me another 50 dollars. Such a trashy location and company.Max I.

Customer service was great but to to book online and get to service center and find out you have no rental truck is a bummer!!!!! This I what would have happened if I did not check prior to the day of renting. Many many phone calls to make it happen. I had family flown in to. Help make this move and I did not know until less than 24 hours if a truck would be available. Trailer was very very old and should not be used. Door barely worked. You had to have very thin tie down straps to use the rails.Eric M.
When this location did not have the equipment I had reserved, I was told by employee Garland that my â€œreservationâ€ was subject to first-come, first-served and was meaningless. He claimed he could do nothing to help me with equipment they didn't have. Employee Justin suggested that i actually didn't need the appliance dolly I had reserved because i could just have helpers dead-lift what I needed it for. These two were dismissive and not at all helpful. The poor customer service at this location is the information I will share at every opportunity. To improve- honor reservations first and foremost. make sure the promised equipment is available. Apologize and offer remedy if an error is made. Don't choose, as these two did, to simply tell the customer he is just out if luck and nothing can be done.Michael S.

Once again, two people in the office, one helping another customer, the other, which I assume to be a manager of some sort, says absolutely nothing to me nor offers to help. Continuously walking past, stocking shelves instead of helping actual customers. Some how my reservation information & identification was lost or input incorrectly, On several occasions my attempt to pay my rental at the Waverly facility was met with, " I'm sorry you are not in the system", which drove me to contact the U-Haul Corp. , and pay online. When I went to cancel my storage unit, I was told by the local Waverly facility that my unit was not rented, and in fact was empty. Obviously not true , if anyone cared to check. The initial person we met with was okay, however seemed new at their job and unsure on certain things. People didn't really seem personable or friendly. I had a few interactions that weren't super pleasant -- staff seemed distracted or uninterested in helping. When I returned the U-Haul, no one came out to assist me in the return process. When I went inside to ask for help, there were two people working -- one was helping a customer and the other was stocking shelves. The person stocking the shelves, which I believe was the manager, walked past me saying nothing and didn't offer to help. Please work on your customer service skills. I've only had one problem and it had nothing to do with the facility itself. It was with an employee. The employee wasn't wearing a mask, but the staff was making the public wear one or they couldn't come in. I used a 20' U-Haul truck to move from out of state and needed a place to put my belongings while we are waiting for our home to come available. The truck worked great, the drop-off was easy and fast, and the employees were not unkind. I wanted to get a storage unit at the same location I dropped off the truck, and the first month of storage rental was free with a truck rental. Thus, I hopped online to U-Haul's website, pulled up my order, and reserved the largest storage unit at the Waverly location in Lansing, Michigan using my free month of rent. I received a reservation confirmation for a 10' x 15' x 12' drive up storage unit. On the day of the move, when I was told I could obtain the unit, I called ahead to confirm the specific unit was still being held for me - they verified that it was. When I arrived with the full truck later that day, I was told that there were no 10' x 15' x 12' drive up storage units available. It was communicated that my reservation email from U-Haul was without value and that the best unit they could give me was a 10' x 10' x 10' unit (thus lowering the value of my free month of storage, disregarding my carful efforts to reserve and confirm a large unit, and putting me in a difficult situation for unloading my 20' U-Haul truck that day). In the end, I was able to stack my belongings into the smaller unit, with much difficulty and rendering nearly all belongings inaccessible without unpacking the entire unit.Jacob D. | Premières impressions

Only one employee was wearing a mask and it only covered his mouth not his nose. Most of the customers in there didn't have masks either. They were not encouraged to wear one by the employees either. I would prefer to have 24 hour access to the climate control storage spaces. Additionally, I was surprised to see a rodent trap in our bin and will be checking to see how and who will be periodically checking the trap for removal of any rodents since I am the holder of the key for the lock?
