Eliminate heavy smell of weed, stop hiring stoners or at least have them sober during business hours. Don't rent vehicles with no fuel and try to sell "hey if you bring it back at 1/2 a tank, you'll get a discount." So, I need to stop for gas before I do what I need to do and then gas up again to bring the vehicle back at 1/2 a tank?!?!?!!! U-Haul was a reasonable value but it's now the last resort. Kept charging me for late fees even though I had auto pay. Kept harassing me and trying to pull money out of my account for a month after I sent numerous phone calls and emails saying I moved everything and wanted to cancel. Hire more employees and provide better training. I spent an hour at my home making my reservation and getting my towing vehicle pre-approved, only to have to wait for 30 minutes for my turn at the counter. There was only one person working who knew how to run the computer to finalize my rental. This same person came outside in the cold to hook me up. Bless her heart, but she didn't know to tighten the hitch tongue around the ball on my hitch.George Q.
My rental was filthy when I arrived and had to be swapped out. Somehow in the confusion I was not provided the dollies that I ordered but was still charged for. Between waiting for a clean truck, not having a furniture dolly, and other issues associated with not having the truck number that was in my initial agreement, I ended up having to extend my rental period well beyond what I intended. So not only was I charged for equipment I never took off site, I also probably paid for more days than I should have needed. Overall this was a big hassle and I will not be returning to this location for my next move.Tony B.

Cabin was dirty. Cup holders sticky dolly wasn't attached to anything and was just rolling around in the back. Was told the truck had a full tank of gas and to return it full. Before returning I stopped at a gas station to fill it up and stopped it early at 5,3 gallons. It still wasn't full. However I had only driven the truck for 17 miles. When I questioned the employee when I turned the key in asking how was it full when I took it but it took over 5 gallons after 17 miles. That's a little over 3 miles to the gallon. She said they are old trucks. I asked for money back for the gas and she refused. I asked for a manager. She said he wasn't there.Christopher A.
I was displeased with the fact that I had added a storage unit to my truck rental because of the Special for one free month, and ended up having to pay for the storage unit anyway, which was almost $160. This was due to the fact that Uhaul changed my pickup location from one way, to in town rental for the truck because they said they did not have any. Which they did have when I arrived to that location. The truck also had the check engine light on and Damage to the rear structure, which was not indicated in the customer approval before receiving the truck. When I asked about this upon the truck return, they just said I wouldn't be charged without looking into it at all. Picked up early morning on busy street. The store had no exterior lighting such as signs or etc. Hard to find being new to the area.GERALD M.
Staff at location were not able to give me any sort of account information. The Manager on duty left a new girl completely alone to go get food while doing our check in. It was snowing and the poor girl didn't even have scraper to clear the windows of the truck. She was great, but very new. It was incredibly frustrating to try to get any total of any sort of total (minus miles) because they could not even see that on site?? How can you have a store that can not even tell you what you are being charged?? Likely will not use u haul in the future due to this.Brooke N.

Customer Service at this location was wonderful, but my overall experience was poor. It was a difficult process finding an available truck in the area and when I was able to find an available truck, it was not brought to my attention until after payment transaction that it was not a one-way vehicle after I had discussed this numerous times. The first truck was not equipped to make the one-way drive to my drop-off destination due to increased shaking of the vehicle on the road, and then had to unpack belongings and go back and trade out the vehicle for a safer one. My next issue was the price difference between what vehicle I needed versus the one I had to purchase due to the unreliable first vehicle. I was also not prepared to drive the 26 foot truck and had to make separate arrangements to venture to my final destination. Customer Service was friendly but not helpful in finding the right deal for their customer.Jena S.

Truck wasn't cleaned/checked over before getting signed out again. Straight up disaster, ashes from a cigarette in the cup holder, mud everywhere, broken light in the trailerâ€¦. Just not great. When I rented the BP and TD to tow my car home from lansing to perrinton, The truck had damage on it that wasnt noted or marked on the BP. I got the coverage on the BP so I was not worried about the damage but it took me longer to get a non running vehicle on the TD that I expected and as such it was dark by the time I was able to head home. The BP's headlights did not work and as such it took me almost 2 1/2 hours to get to perrinton. When I returned the equipment I notified the employees that there was problems with the truck and they proceeded to just clean it and park it. Will not rent from this location and I do expect a partial refund due to my troubles!WILLIAM LAWRANCE B.
I stood in line for about 5 minutes while someone was being waited on, then someone walked in as the guy came to the register and cut me off. I felt invisible, and one of the cashiers should have spoken up. The same guy that rang me up assisted me with the trailer. He was more interested in his cell phone conversation than helping us outside! He was very irritable, unfriendly, and didn't seem to sure on how to do his job. Our hitch didn't fit right, so we had to purchase a drop down. He seemed very annoyed with the whole process. The one good thing was that he let us borrow a converter plug. The truck I rented had the check engine light come on. I suspect it was a bad/incorrect size gas cap. Also the door was extremely hard to open and close. Almost like the pulley's weren't working very well. Otherwise the staff was friendly and fast.Sara M.

The customer service was good. It's always good. However the truck was gross and had not been cleaned. There were a few bloody bandaids throughout the truck and some in the cup holder. The windshield sign was left on the floor in the truck and the dolly in the back was not attached to anything. There is one particular employee that I interacted with on several occasions. She did my checkout. The employee name on my Customer Receipt (751025-112955-209668) says Analisa Gordon. I hope that is the person I am speaking of. In my encounters with her, she provided excellent customer service and professionalism to a degree I am not used to in these modern days. I could not say enough good things about her. She should be the head of Customer Service training for your organization. I called customer service so I can move from a large storage to a smaller storage. A customer service rep have me a price and reserved it for me. One I got there the rude young lady at the desk told me I had to pay a month on the storage I was moving out of and pay for the new one. I called customer service again and they said that was incorrect after they got me out of $270!!!! It doesn't make any since that they made me pay for a storage that will be empty!!! The GM NEVER returns any messages or calls!!! They can't do nothing right and always gives you wrong information and over charging me. I've only had one problem and it had nothing to do with the facility itself. It was with an employee. The employee wasn't wearing a mask, but the staff was making the public wear one or they couldn't come in. I would prefer to have 24 hour access to the climate control storage spaces. Additionally, I was surprised to see a rodent trap in our bin and will be checking to see how and who will be periodically checking the trap for removal of any rodents since I am the holder of the key for the lock?
