I would recommend this location to a friend or family member but not if it weren't for ViAnna and Zach. Interactions with the two of them are always pleasant. Both ViAnna and Zach are consistently friendly and helpful, and they manage to keep things light-hearted while remaining professional-- prime examples of great customer service. It would seem the golden apples fall far from the tree though (thankfully) because the facility manager, Leah, and who I assume to be the tree she fell from (Rebecca) have a way of making customers seem like bothersome tasks. Between their passive-aggressive behaviors, the obvious scoffs/eye rolls, and the audible complaints of being "stuck at work late" as they begrudgingly assist customers, it quickly becomes an uncomfortable, unwelcoming environment. As someone who regularly rents through this U-Haul location, I expect to be treated better than the way I've been treated by Leah and Rebecca. Perhaps they need to be reviewed and/or reminded by their superiors (or inferiors) of how they are expected to behave in a customer service position.

Trailer wasn't swept out. I had to sweep it before I could start loading. Whoever checked it in didn't check the trailer

Everything was very good. The only thing wrong was the chart showing the gallons required to get the fuel level back up to 13/16. It was totally full before I got up to the recommended number of gallons. But if that's the worst thing to happen I would call it a good day.

The trailer door was open so it was full of snow and the person who hooked it up said he swept it and closed the door but did not. The trailer lights only worked intermittently

The unit i rented was supposed to find all of my apartment i couldn't even use it because it was so small.

Place was a chaotic disaster. Had a sign that said said pull up and war for attendant. I waited for 15 min until finally figured nobody is ever coming out since I saw trailers unhooked from vehicles just sitting on the ground inline ahead of me. I went in and stood in line and grabbed an attendant. All uhaul has going for it is locations. Else a competitor could easily displace them.

I had a great experience with the U-Box. The staff in the Fargo location was very helpful and kept my belongings safe and sound for as long as I needed them. I am very pleased with the overall experience!

You keep leaving out Dahl's Mini Storage. That's where I originally turned the truck in and paid for the overage on miles. Now you're billing me at the place on 13th for what I've already paid. Since no one's listening, I'll have to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I. social media. You are taking advantage of me. This has been a horrific experience with UHAUL.

trailer lights didn't work properly. I was told I would get a refund of some amount, never got any amount of refund and I waited the 2-5 business days (contract number 20239992)

From Heather's mom who drove the truck: I first turned the trailer and tow dolly into Dahl's Mini Storage. The owner had to catch a flight for a family emergency so his area manager, Scott, took over. The men I'd hired to unload the truck locked my keys in the car. Scott bullied me and essentially said that if I didn't get it done immediately, he'd take possession of my things. I even offered to pay for another day and he said "no, just get your stuff off the truck". I called corporate and the woman there heard him. She said that to help, she was going to send me to another place to drop the trailer and it didn't have to be in until Sunday so I'd have time to hire someone else. (Scott scared them off) I asked about the charge and she said there'd be none because it wasn't my fault. I was so upset and shaky that I fell out of the truck when I moved it elsewhere. I was hurt and 911 had to send help. I'm still in excruciating pain. I was bawling while emergency services helped me. I've never been so upset. This is like a bad nightmare. I turned the trailer in a day early and received a bill of over 250 $the next day. We already paid almost 200 $over the original cost at Dahl's (and almost 80 $for a storage bldg) and this shouldn't have cost anything. I've never had anything like this happen with UHaul. You're usually professional. I'm shocked and angry. The Uhaul place on 13th Street is the total opposite of Dahl's. They're kind and helpful.

My locker was broken into. The cop already knew how before he even saw the locker because he said they had already been there multiple times for the same thing. So that tells me the staff knew and still fails to inform tenants. No one ever tried to reach me from uhual. The cops have still never recieved any footage to help with their investigations.

My closing date kept changing, so I had to extend my rental. After spending 20 minutes on hold ( this was the 4th call to this location & I was finally not disconnected) I was told that I was not allowed to make changes to my rental, as my driver's license was not on file. So my driver, who was working on a job site out of town, had to call to make the extensions. When my closing date changed again, my driver was told the truck was reserved to someone else that day, so the truck would have to be returned. Upon return, there were 3 trucks that size in the lot. I had to rent another truck to get my move completed; it was very inconvenient to have to switch trucks mid move and it took an extra trip because of the small truck size. The 1st truck cab smelled of cigarettes & the furniture pads were folded on the wheel box. Neither the pads or dolly (still connected to the truck) were used, but I was charged for their use. It took a lot of searching to find an itemized list of charges after returning the truck. It's been many years since renting from Uhaul, I after this experience, I cannot foresee returning in the future.

I called a week ahead of time to book a 26 ft. truck. i needed 26 feet. The battery was dead when I tied to start my rental. They said they only had a 20 foot available. A 26 foot was in the lot and one pulled up but i was told I had to take the 20 foot unit. No discount was offered even when I said I need a 26 foot. I was dealing with the manager who is abrasive and rude. Would never bother with this company again. Waste of money.

The experience was great overall, but I would recommend retiring or repairing this cargo trailer due to the back door and mechanism. One time it rolled very far up into the structure of the trailer and the hook got jammed in there, causing us to have to pull hard backwards and hope our fingers didn't get pinched. It seemed a bit beat up or dry/rusty.

The Women worked hard and provided excellent service. Trailer interior had wall cushion bumper peeling off, but otherwise trailer worked great. Give the women a raise please.

Leah Barber Is a good store manager very great with people respectful and tries to accommodate help in every way possible I really enjoyed having my stuff in the storage where she is she was always helpful very polite and willing to work with a person we need more store managers like Leah I would recommend anyone using Uhaul Storage at her location I want to thank her for everything she did for me and to let everyone know she is a good employee and very understandable.thank you for being the person you are. Will always remember you.

Was told gas was almost full it was way under half and had to spend more money then should of on gas..as seniors this was more then we could afford at the time..no response from the office after contacting them..they promised to call back and never did..so very unhappy

this rental was not a good experience all around. we normally use the Main Ave site. We were not able to get the size truck that we had requested and the site was moved to this site. Because of this we had additional mileage charged to us. and due to problems with the movers we ended up going over our time and received more charges.

The staff person was very nice but did not have a lot of knowledge about hitches.Which was her fault she was new there. Luckly we lived in town and came back about 2 hours later to get our trailer. I got a hitch installed (by a differnt uhaul in the MSP area ) for my daughters suv so when she came to Fargo she would be able to move our stuff to her place in Cannon Falls. If this Uhaul in MSP would have put the right hitch on it would have worked out fine. Long story short My daughter ended up taking my car that had the right hitch for the trailer we were pulling to cannon falls. It was an Inconvenience for us but we made it work.

I had a truck reservation for 1000, got there on time and it took over 30 minutes to pick up vehicle. Only one person was working, (on a Saturday) and service was very slow. It seems to me that there would be adequate staff working on what is the busiest retail day of the week. Vehicle return was flawless, I have to give credit where due.

I had previously reserved a trailer for Sunday 9/20. I live out of town and happened to be in Fargo, so showed up to pick the trailer up a little early and they said that it wasn't ready yet and was supposed to be back at 12:15 (my original pickup time). Fine., no problem. My time was approaching and I was making the 25 minute drive from my rural town to Fargo to pick this up and about 10 minutes before my appointment received a call stating that the customer would not have it returned by the time I needed it and would in fact have it back 5 hours past. That wasn't going to work for me and my arrangements for use of the trailer. They cancelled the reservation - I did not hear anything about the 50 $guarantee - that was advertised on line. I was however, gracious that the lady remembered and took the time to call.

Everything went really, really well until I went to try to get into Bay 3/4. I wasn't told that the bay doors were locked and I didn't know how to get in. I went back to the office but no one was there to help (busy smoking out front) so I watched the monitor to see what other people were doing and I figured it out on my own. I would have preferred someone explaining it to me correctly the first time.....that I needed to enter my code twice in two different spots to get in. Otherwise, it was a very positive experience, just 30 minutes of crazy frustration.
