Overall UBox experience was NOT GOOD. Unbeknownst to me at the time I packed up my boxes - the boxes were unable to be delivered to my new address. So I had to hire a truck, movers, pay to have a puppy sitter, (all at the cost of around an extra 1 200 $in moving expenses), then drive 3 hours round trip, etc. to get my stuff that was advertised as being drop at my doorstep. I have since learned of others having this same bait and switch experience. Will definitely not recommend Uboxes.Nicole S.

Started the online pickup and they rented my truck to someone else.. I had to go inside and start the line over after the guy told me to do the online pickup.. had to wait until he figured out how to change my truck because he gave it to someone else.. he couldn't figure out how to give the other person the truck that was supposed to be for me either.. they don't know what they are doing in there.. last time I go thereJoel R.

This shows Allentown address, not sure since it all seems to be mixed as to which part I'm rating. The no to on time is for Allentown. Never opened the pads, everything was boxed. The San Antonio guy was early on the drop off, just a little behind on the pickup but he was quick and friendly, easy to work with.William L.

The truck was not sanitized from the last person who used it. There was also a broken desk in the back of the truck, as well as some packing trash from the last people. I tried calling to report and fix this issue but was connected to the U-Haul office where the phone just rang and rang without any answer or voicemail option. My husband and I had to be inconvenienced on an already busy day to take the desk to the dump and pay to have it disposed of. Thanks a lot for not helping whatsoever, very disappointed in the customer service of U-Haul.Kyle L.

Although it was stated that I did not need to be there when the container was picked up, I would have liked to have been notified of the anticipated time similar to the drop off. Other than this minor recommendation, I was very pleased with my experience and highly recommend using UBoxes when moving. It was the perfect option for me!John R.

Deliver the U Box when promised. I was informed at 6 pm the night before move in to be told my U Box was going to be delayed 3 additional days. Though the Manager was nice, he stated it wasn't really their fault as they did their part. My elderly parents had to be jostled from place to place for 3 additional days until their furniture arrived costing them money. Your customer service stinks!Derek L.

The customer experience team was great, my overall experience however was horrible. My rental was NOT available and was more than two hours late completely throwing off the entire schedule of my day. This was the worst experience with Uhaul yet! We reserved the box online after speaking to a representative. We were called three days before the box was due to be delivered and they told us that they overbooked and would not have a box for us. They did nothing to help the situation, basically telling me I was out of luck. I called back a few minutes later and spoke to someone different after being on hold for an hour. They told me of an emergency shipment that was coming and didn't know why I wasn't told this and they said I would get a call when the shipment arrived to schedule something. The day before the box was to originally be delivered I get an email about being billed for the box. So I call. After an hour of being disconnected about 7 times and transferred, I finally spoke to someone who told me that yes indeed I would be getting a box the next day (my original delievery date). The delivery date arrives and I am expecting a box to be delivered. I get a call from the driver to tell me she has a box if I still wanted it. I said I was told yesterday that I would be getting one today. She was like I don't know who told you that. But after all that, I did get a box that day. They came two days later to get it as scheduled. BUT it sat in Allentown from July 29th until August 16th, making it 5 days late to LA!!! It was suppose to arrive on Aug 21st and it wasn't delivered until the 26th. I only got 200 $of the 250 $for the 5 days beign late. I am still waiting for the correct amount of credit, that I had to call multiple times for. And because it was late, I was charged an extra month's rent, which I am also waiting on a credit for. And the expereince in LA hasn't been much better with delivery and pick up either. The LACK of communication was horrendous and I will NOT be renting from Uhaul any time soon, nor will any one I know because of this awful experience!Kara M.

The agent was rude, discourteous and angry that she had to work. She was not helpful to many customers that were in front of me. I had an issue with the mileage on the vehicle that they were renting me, the contract said it had 120 084,6 when actually it had 12 084,6 I had taken a picture of it to show her because she would not come out to the vehicle and I was told just take it and they'll fix it at the drop off point which I was very displeased with that response.CHRISTOPH D.
Fix the trucks and trailers i had a truck with a cracked windshield and a trailer with no running lights found that out at night had to have a follow car i rent alot from uhaul never seen this before o yea plus the cab smelled like weed and some kind of cleaning chemicalSEAN H.

It was IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of this office to schedule, communicate - anything. Corporate and the location are completely disconnected. In person, Carmen, Brian and Tyrone were very, very helpful, but THEY NEED STAFF AND SUPPORT to keep up with demand. Also Uhauls Hold music and messaging is the worst I have EVER heardLyndy W.

The staff was unfriendly and not accommodating. The staff kept talking about how they were going to â€œwalk outâ€ due to the customers â€œstupidity.â€ The truck smelled terrible when I got in it and it was extremely dirty. The trailer I rented with the truck was missing two of the side bars to ratchet cargo to. This was the second time I've used uhaul and both times I had to wait over 30 minutes to even speak to someone to get the process started to get my rental even though I did online check in and contactless pick up.MORGAN E.
Someone else had already rented the truck listed on my reservation. I was assigned a new truck but it didn't contain my covers and hand truck. I had to wait in line to get everything sorted and then bring it all out to the truck. Inconvenient. The lady inside was dealing with a difficult customer and was having a loud argument in front of the other customers waiting. Unprofessional. Not the location's fault, but the on-line check in process was beyond ridiculous. They thought they would call my references at 7am on a weekend? So rude, unnecessary and impractical. I just went inside and waited in the line to check in. Truly unbelievable- I would rather have 10 000 fleas nest in my armpits, than use U-haul again. The worst service experience I've had in a long time,Bryan G.
Staff in Allentown are rude, disrespectful, careless and mean. They lost my first ubox order even when they confirmed it was there. They don't pick up the phone so you have to physically drive up there to figure out what's going on. When you get there, they're on the phone watching videos and texting. No one works no one cares about clients. When I asked why were my UBoxes confirmed when I'm being now told you don't have them they said the corporate office sells and rents out what stores do not have and they were not obligated to inform me they didn't have the UBoxes since I booked with corporate office and not straight with the Allentown location. !!!! Over all a very stressful experience, very rude people, disconnected system btw physical location and corporate. Not worth my business not worth my time.Aiya A.

The 1 star review is entirely for U-Haul's internal system and is not a reflection of the location. The fact that "reservations" are not actual reservations is absolutely absurd and completely screws a lot of people while moving. The amount of time I spent at U-Haul just fighting to get a box for my move was astronomical (read 8 trips in person to get my box) and I didn't even get my reservation properly filled. I had to load on-site instead of on the side of the road because of the inability of U-Haul to provide what was promised. On top of that, the fact that calling U-Haul is completely useless just makes working with the company miserable. I will absolutely never use U-Haul again and tell anyone who will listen to avoid them like the plague.Michael O.

I called and spoke with David. He was great, he held a space aside for me. Unfortunately, it was in the mezzanine where there is a step that prevents you from taking the loaded storage cart up to the door. I had to stop at the step with the cart before walking EACH individual item to my 5×5×10 storage unit. I asked for a better spot but I would have had to get a smaller unit 5x5x5. If you store items there, ask for David, he has excellent customer service skills. Some other guy there was very rude. Wish I had his name. David was extremely helpful, although I didn't get a good unit. Don't go on the mezzanine without checking or asking for a spot before the step. Don't do the step unless there are NO other spaces available. It's extra work when moving into a small storage space or any storage unit. I was ripped off. I used the truck 19 miles . 29,99 . Gas was less than quarter. It was check off at a quarter. I return it at quarter. I took insurance which I believe was 28 dollars. My total bill was 120 dollars. Liars and thieves. Never again.NELSON M.

Customer service was deplorable. Associate who checked in our trailer could not have been less helpful if she tried. Nasty, poor attitude and confrontational. Made the situation worse, including quoting a price of 500 $to return the trailer - fyi it only resulted in a 114 $charge. Horrible experience!!!!!KAREN C.

We were assigned 3 separate locations and 4 separate times slots over the course of 2 days and when we finally did arrive to the Allentown location we were initially told that a truck was not available. This isn't so much a reflection on the Allentown location as it is on u-haul as a whole, it was super disorganized and disappointing!!KYLEEDWARD L.
